Originally intended on introducing the angel a bit later, but it fit in much better here

Blade Tail took advantage of the information he had gotten regarding that it isn't illegal to ask for another match but just insulting and right after the customary dinner went and had them schedule him another fight. And when asked by the receptionist if he was sure about that he simply noted how the last time they put him into a fight he didn't even take a single injury in the entire fight, so that there is absolutely no reason he needed any time to recover. But they still decided to delay when he'd be having his next fight by another couple of days, more to try and save face for the fighter that had agreed to fight him more than anything else. Though he hopes that the next fight would be far more entertaining. He doesn't really mind losing every now and then so long as the fight is fun. Eventually he'll get up to a point where he can live comfortably enough.

For now, though, the squirrel has a different destination in mind. Given that there are deliberate breaks between matches he's going to need something to help pass the time and he figures an interesting enough place to start would be to check in with the library. At the golem's insistence he's bringing Jarvis with him. The golem was quite interested in meeting the library's golem and he had checked with them the other day that it should be okay so long as his golem behaves. They will permit absolutely no destructive intentions whatsoever. And Jarvis promised him to be on his best behavior so Blade Tail took him along. Though Blade Tail is somewhat interested in trying to figure out what he could potentially do to help his own golem begin being able to talk at this point he's more interested in the history of this world. It's not something that was ever actually addressed while he was on Earth. They were just an enemy that would send their criminals to Earth to get rid of them. But that still left a bunch of different questions in mind on how they found Earth and why that was their first instinct when finding a new planet.

When he enters the building, they make it quite clear that any violence or destructive magics are not allowed in the main building. There is a few Spell Corridors off to either side. They are free for anyone to use provided they do not interrupt anyone else's studies or reading. Blade Tail nods and asks for directions for their golem since Jarvis had asked to meet them. A few of the people here seemed quite interested in the fact that he had named his golem and it was independent, but then again, so was theirs. He saw one individual that struck him quite strangely though. There was something about him that seemed somehow familiar and yet foreign at the same time. This confused Blade Tail to the extent that he actually just goes about grabbing a small ball of air and manipulating it between his hands, sucking on his big incisors while doing so. He gets a few wary glances his way but pays them no mind. He's not actually forming the air into anything. The entire point of it is nothing more than to help him focus his mind, to have something to manipulate directly that cannot do anything if left unchecked. After a good moment of doing this it finally hits him and he releases the spell, creating a tiny little pop.

"Ah, Angel. So you guys got them too, huh? Cool."

The individual turns and stares long and hard at Blade Tail, and in response Blade Tail returns the gaze. They are a somewhat strange individual, kind of struck him as a chihuahua that got struck by an ugly stick and yet decided to grow up to try and be a male model anyway. Doesn't look very strong all things considered but that's simply a matter of external appearances.

"Excuse me?" the man asks.

"Oh, sorry. Not entirely sure what you lot call yourselves. But back on earth there were these seven individuals that were all extremely powerful individuals that had all these rules put in place on them so they couldn't operate freely. Never seemed to age at all either and all went by the names of the archangels for one of the religions on my old world. And your magic feels the exact same, so I figure it stands to reason that if earth had angels then this world must have something similar too, right?"

The ugly sticked chihuahua stares at Blade Tail for a moment or two longer, his head twisting this way and that before finally speaking up. "How interesting. You are a very strange individual. So, what brings you to our library beyond introducing your golem to our own?"

"Nothing much, just wanted a history lesson, really learn what makes this place tick. Like all I really know about this world is that you found our world somehow and started throwing your prisoners at us and televising the act. I also know you have a fashion for appearing as close to being naked as possible while covering everything up and that you are ruled by the strongest amongst you. But I don't know why or how any of these things came to pass. I don't understand the power structure you all live by outside of what I was told on the other world. I really should try and figure all this out if I'm going to make my living here and what better place to learn all of this than the place where all knowledge of the planet has been written down."

"Are you able to read our books?" the chihuahua asks.

"I don't see why I couldn't. I can read your spell books and whatnot. I can read all the signs and words written throughout the city. So unless all of your history books are written in Latin, which I guess would explain a few things, then I should be able to make do with at least the more basic stuff. The more specific can wait until I'm bored."

"Very well, come along," the chihuahua motions further into the library. Blade Tail follows.

"I'm Blade Tail, by the way. Figure it'd be polite to introduce myself, even if using a fake name."

"Many here call me by the name Ranashella. And your name I would not say is strictly speaking fake. It is very much a real name for you. You do answer to it and it is used to define who you are. It is merely not your soul name. This is a distinction that the people here have learned through fire and brimstone as it were. Soul names are extremely powerful. And for one who is motivated enough, a spell can be created that would either control someone by their name, or do harm to them directly from far away. So as a simple means of self-defense, in order to protect yourself from magics that could do you harm, we do not ever refer to ourselves by our soul name, but merely a name chosen to represent us safely."

"I do not recall reading any such spell in the books," Blade Tail shrugs.

"That is because there are spells that are known that are not made public in the spell books provided to all. Can you honestly say that given the nature of circumstances to being selected to defend your own planet, that there might be some that would not be inclined to take out their frustrations at those who would be unable to defend themselves?"

"Yeah, probably."

"Your people have not had to deal with the turmoil that can come from a gross misuse of magic."

"Perhaps not, but we know what happens when people abuse nuclear power and I can't imagine it'd be much different."

"Explain this term to me? It is unfamiliar to me."

"Oh, it's, um," Blade Tail scratches behind his ear. "Well a long time ago we learned how to harness the power of the atom. Able to create bombs so devastating that they'd make Rose's little stunt at the special look like a firecracker. We only used it twice in a war, and well, those two cities were pretty much annihilated. And since then we've learned how to make them even scarier, being able to kill millions of people from halfway across the world with nothing more than a push of a button. Might not be able to talk on an individual scale, but I can't imagine what you're talking about could be much worse than that on a global scale."

"I see. I will admit that we have not had to deal with attacks quite on that scale. Spells on the scale of the special are just about the most you can get from magic. But there are lands like the location of that special that are testament to just how much magic can warp a land long after the battle has been accomplished. We may not have things like you describe capable of destroying whole cities with one attack, but there is a very dark history that this society has been built upon. I do not feel like you really want to know the full extent of our history. It was not a pleasant one and one that does not portray the people of this world in the best of light, regardless of intent. I will say that they have come back from the brink of extinction on more than one occasion, that the reason our fashion is as it is, is a direct result of the last time they nearly destroyed themselves. And that the portal they created into your realm was not done with the intention of finding your realm. They were as shocked by finding you there as you were. But the royal family was able to use this discovery to reign in all of the people and bring about peace once again. I am hesitant to elaborate further. For you will have a much happier and enjoyable time on our world if you can see it as it is, and not all of the rubble it has been built over."

"I suppose. I can always come back for more information later. It's not like I'm particularly planning on going anywhere. Though I suppose if you are answering questions, do you know why this magic is built around the concept of magic being real and available to everyone, but completely unavailable to anyone on my own world? Like the only reason I can use magic at all is because of that one device or spell or whatever that was that effectively allowed me to take a form more akin to the people over here."

"That I cannot say."

"Cannot or will not."

"In this case, that is a distinction without a difference."

"Fair enough," Blade Tail shrugs, pondering at the strange statement. "I suppose all things considered I'm practically still the enemy. So what is an angel doing in a place like this anyway? I mean, our angels weren't exactly being held up in churches being worshipped and all that, but a library is not exactly the kind of location that I would expect to find one."

"I am here because this is what I have set myself to protect. There are important things that must be remembered and many of them are stored here. It would be a massive loss if the information stored within this library is destroyed. Many of the other great archives have fallen over the ages. Despots wanting to shed off the burdens of the old or misdirect people as to what is true and forget the legacies and lessons learned in days past. This one remains because I am here. I am known to be here and so they know better than to take it. So long as I protect this place, the knowledge will be preserved. For it will be one day needed."

"The golem is yours, isn't it? The one that can talk."

"It is not. And at the same time, the very reason for its purpose is the reason why it can talk. It is a product of its surroundings and as I am the caretaker of those surroundings you may indirectly say that I am responsible for the development. But no. The way I operate is different than it is for you, or them. I cannot use magic as you do. I cannot cast the spells necessary to create a golem of any kind. Nor am I able to supply it with a portion of my own magic. The reason why ours can talk and yours cannot will be made known to you, in good time. I see a great many things in your future."

"I don't really care much about prophecies and all that. I'm just here to make a living. Leave the important things to Rose and your royalty. And I personally think anyone saying that I have a destiny or some 'great future' is just spewing a bunch of bullshit to make them seem far more cryptic and sage. Yeah, you're an angel. But angels can't see the future. But thank you for the history lesson. It is actually a little bit refreshing to see that this world's history has been as fucked up as ours was."

"Any time," the angel bows in his direction.

Blade Tail does a quick little bow as well and decides to just wander through the halls. He doesn't really have any reason to rush through this. In all honesty he had been expecting to have to spend a long time even trying to find something to give him the answers he wants. In some regards he almost has more questions now than he did in the past. The more important thing to think about is whether or not it is a coincidence on the fact that these people set up a portal in the same city as an angel setting up shop. Personally he doesn't know whether or not they actually do tend to set themselves to a particular task or role. The ones on earth weren't really all that forthcoming about what they were in the first place. But it does still bring to question on the fact of whether the portals are dependent on being close to an angel or if it is a precaution. In the mean time the squirrel settles to the task of simply walking through the library and seeing what titles have been placed in the library. On what kinds of things people like to read. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing to be an archival location only, even if there are apparently some sort of vault or something where these documents the angel said he had to protect were located. Though now that he thinks of it, it does also bring to question regarding how they tell history. If a person's true name has power, when history is being written do they write down that person's real name or the fake name they go around telling everyone about? With that thought in mind he sets off to the history section just to see how they name their historical figures.
