Chapter 13
It was amazing how much power he could feel surging through his arms it was like the device had enhanced them not only with weapons but with pure brute force. Gerald had no idea what had just happened he had never put guns in his prototype.
"What...was that...I didn't put any cannons in the arms when I made them." he said struggling to get up.
"Heh I guess you could say it's an upgrade."
He looked down at the list again and saw another one he liked.
"Enhance." he thought.
His arms then started to turn back to normal but then they grew bigger but for some strange reason it didn't effect Kevin's ability to pick them up. He then started running as fast as he could towards Gerald who was still weak from the blast.
"Amazing I must find out what that device is."
Usually when someone punches him it wouldn't effect him but this time when Kevins fist impacted his chest it sent flying over him.
"Im..impressed that you could master my inventions like that."
He got up but this time with a grin on his face.
"Now I don't have to hold back!"
Something under his jacket started to form. It looked like some kind of armor, it was black and grey and it had the symbol for the company he works for on the front. It also covered his arms which got bigger and now he looked like a monster, a mechanical beast.
"Come on!"
They both ran at each other and when Kevin got close enough he swung but he missed and Gerald got a hit in. He punched him right under his chin and sent him backwards onto his back. Sarah knew what would happen if her device took to much of a beating. The other two looked at her and wondered what was happening.
"Sarah is something wrong?" asked Katie.
"He's to strong Kevin can't win."
They looked at her with worried faces.
"Why?"
She gulped.
"The device does enhance a persons ability to fight but only for a certain amount of time. If he still wants to win he has to use the most dangerous move I put in there."
As they watched Kevin get the snot kicked out of him they listened to her closely.
"What makes it dangerous?" asked Jessica.
"One of two things could happen. One he could walk away fine and have nothing to worry about, or two his arms could implode and cause an explosion so big it could kill him and all of us too."
They turned there heads back to him watching as Gerald continued to punch and stomp on him.
"Lets just hope he can win without it." Katie said.
Gerald kicked him across the floor then stopped and backed away.
"It looks like you really aren't that tough after all." he said with his laughter.
As he laid on the floor he spotted something on the arms called "Ultimatum".
"It's worth a shot." he said.
He got up and thrusted his elbow back a bit.
"Ultimatum."
That was the move that could kill them all if he didn't walk out ok!
"Heh a final last attempt at defeating eh."
But when he looked behind Kevin he cause something strange happening. It looked like the wind and air in the room was being sucked up into his arms through a big hole in the elbow part of his arm which was open by little flaps..
"What are you doing boy!?"
Once enough air was sucked in the flaps closed and sealed shut.
"Lets go!" he yelled running towards his uncle.
As he got closer Gerald got into his fighting position.
"You can't beat me!"
When Kevin got closer he swung but Kevin moved to the side a bit and swung his left arm to propel him forward and to keep him balanced.
"Take this Ultimatum!"
When the fist impacted he released all the compressed energy that was stored up. Gerald yelled at the top of his lungs, feeling all that energy hit his stomach was like getting hit by twenty trucks in a row. When Kevin pushed harder it sent him flying back into the wall and the armor that surrounded his body cracked and shattered. He fell to the ground with a hard thud and Kevin's device crumbled also. By pure luck he survived and was safe.
"This...isn't ever...I will make the perfect warrior and you will be my apprentice." he said pressing a button on his arm.
"This isn't over!" he yelled as his body started to fade.
He had done it even if he was injured at least he survived. He didn't care anymore he collapsed to the ground as the officers rushed in. One of them checked him to see if he was still alive.
"We need a stretcher over here quick!" he yelled.
Four guys with the stretcher ran in and picked him up. As he was being wheeled off Katie could see he was smiling and he was looking at her. It took a fight this big to bring them back together but what about the move?
