Home Sweet Farm Chapter 11 Later that day at around nine twenty two Katie, Jessica, and Sarah all departed to the bank to cash in the check Kevin had so willingly given him. Sarah still blamed Katie for him leaving but she was a little nicer. Jessica dealt with it like an adult, but Katie still felt horrible. All he had wanted was a home of his own and she took that away from him. Not only did she take away his home but his friends as well. She was in thought when she got up to the bank register. "Hello can I help you?" the lady asked. She looked up and nodded. "We need to cash this in." she said handing her the check. She seemed to recognize who it was from. "Kevin gave you this?" she asked. "Yeah. How did you know?" "I'm his cousin Rachel and you must be Katie. He's always talking about you, how you got him a job and how you gave him a home so he wouldn't have to move." She managed to smile at her to cover up what had really happen. "Heh yeah." Rachel went to the back and pulled out the right amount of money that was on the check. When she came back she handed her a envelope with the nine hundred and ninety dollars in it. "Thank you." Katie said. She was about to turn around when the guy behind her stuck something to her back. "Don't you dare move or scream or you die right now." he said. She wanted to scream but then he took his hand and placed it over her mouth. Kevin was walking down the street remember some good times he had. He passed by the farm but didn't bother looking at it since it was composed of both good and bad memories. He walked all the way down the street when he heard sirens going off behind him. Police cars zoomed right by him, it looked like they were headed into the city. "Well it's better than this." he said running towards the city. He almost lost the car a couple of times but he could see where they were headed, right towards the bank. He stood behind the yellow tape they had around the scene. Inside he could see a man but the officers were blocking the rest. "Officer what going on?" he asked. One of the officers turned around. "A hostage situation." The guy in the army jacket that was holding people hostage then screamed out something. "Bring me Kevin Kamoni or ill start shooting!" he yelled. Kevin froze but it wasn't from him calling his name it was the fact that Katie, Jessica, and Sarah along with Rachel were all tied up inside. He stopped to think for a seconds. They had broken his heart, they kicked him out, and they didn't believe him when he said he didn't sign those papers but they did give him a home for a few days and did give him work. He struggled with the decision he would make until he came to one. He ran under the tape and stood right in front of the door. "Hey kid get out of there!" one of the officers yelled. He lifted his arm up then busted through the glass with is chained fist. He them ran through the open window and stopped when he got half way in. "So you really came hm?" Katie, Jessica, and Sarah all looked up when they heard the glass shatter and they saw Kevin in his heroic grace. "He's really come to save us." thought Katie. But then another thought rushed through her head. "No. He's just here to save the others he doesn't care about us." Kevin didn't know why but he had no fear when he fought before but now fear had taken over. As he watched then man walked over to Sarah and took out a knife and held it to her throat. He could hear her whimpers of despair as he saw her. "Get away from her!" he yelled. The man smiled and moved his knife to Katie. "What about her can I kill her?" he said rubbing the knife lightly against her throat. "Get away from all of them!" The man withdrew the knife and slid it back into its holder. Katie still had no hope that he would help them she just looked down at the ground. "And why shouldn't I what do they matter to you anyways." he said with a grin. He balled up his fist and gritted his teeth. "Everything!"
