Home Sweet Farm Chapter 10 What had she done to him, she had him and now she lost him in under a week she was no good friends. She was determined to get him back so the next morning after eating breakfast she left the girls behind and headed for his house. Her heart was shattered but she wanted to try and mend his back as best she could. The last thing he said to her still haunted her though "Remember that any bond we had before is gone now". As she got near his house she could hear music playing and people were gathered around his garage. She pushed through the crowd. Daitaro and Kevin were both singing and playing music. Daitaro had the guitar while Kevin had the drums and bongos. She was about to speak when Daitaro started sing. "I am so alike you, In so many ways. I know I'm just a copy, That carries on the stain." Then Kevin. " But, We make the same mistakes. Cause, We are one in the same. But, We leave behind the stain. That cannot separate." She could see him in the back with his eyes closed playing the drums as best he could. She never knew he could play them of course she didn't know much about him. Then they both sang together. " All that lies in me, All that dies in me. How can I live without you? All that lies in me, All that dies in me. How can I live without you?" She could feel her heart trembling as she heard them sing. The song might have been sung by Ill Nino but these two made it so much more powerful. As they sang Daitaro saw her in the crowd and gestured her to move off to the side. As they reached the climax she heard Kevins voice sing away at the song. "Do you think of me? Do you dream of me? I always dream about you. Do you think of me? Do you dream of me? I always dream about you." He was hitting on the drums as hard as he could and when the song came to a close they broke in half. All the people surrounding the stage cheered as they got up and bowed. For the first time since she was there Kevin opened his eyes and saw her, but it wasn't his normal happy glare it was more of sadness and anger. After all the kids departed Daitaro jumped down from the stage. "Did you need anything?" he asked. She shook her head. "I want to see Kevin." He looked at her with a strange look. "That's probably not such a good idea he's pretty beat up, I can't imagine what he's going to be like after we move." Move? She had never heard about them moving. "When?" "Tomorrow." She looked down at the ground for a second then back up. "Please let me talk to him." He could see that she really wanted to speak to him and badly. "Ok but be careful he's pretty fragile now." She nodded and walked off into the house. There were boxes everywhere around the house and it was almost completely empty. She hear footsteps upstairs so she walked up and saw a sign on the first door saying "Kevin's Room". She peaked in and saw him putting away all his stuff that he had not taken to the farm. He must have known she was there because the first thing she heard was. "Go away." She walked into his blank room and stood by the door. "Please don't be mad." she pleaded. "And why should I not be, I am going to lose my home." "I heard." He turned around and faced her. "Okinawa I've lived here my whole life and now it's gone." "Why are you move?" "I don't know something about my dad getting a job up north in Japan." he said as he put more stuff into the boxes. Once he was finished he turned back towards her. "Did you know that I wanted to live with you and the others hm? Did you think that I just wanted a job at the farm just to do work? No I did it so I could have a home of my own. So I wouldn't have to leave." He picked up the last box and walked out of the room without even looking at her. That was it he wasn't ever coming back. There bond was really gone.
