"Holy hell... just how long have I been going through this place now?" Lassiah sighed, taking a moment to compose herself as she rested up against the nearest wall. The 28-year-old Raen White Mage had been exploring the Copperbell Mines for what felt like a small eternity, trying to figure out just where she was meant to be heading to next in her quest to clear the dungeon. Most people would travel in a group of at least four people to take on a challenge like this, but she felt confident enough in her own skills that she was sure that she could handle it on her own. Granted, she did try to make it easier for herself by battling the monsters one-on-one, but the way some of them were grouped together, she had to take a few risks now and then.

"I'm barely halfway through?" She took a look at her map, letting out an exasperated moan. "Damn it, I honestly thought I was further in by this point!" She placed the map back in her bag, taking a look around her. It didn't help that it felt like she'd been walking in circles for the longest time, but knowing she hadn't even made it towards the second boss was a bit of a blow. "Next time I go to any place with 'Mine' in its name, I'm going with a group, seriously...!" She mumbled.

After a few more minutes to think about where to go next, she moved on into the next room, a large area filled with dynamite switches, a few Bombs, and what appeared to be a large, slime-like creature. To her surprise, however, she saw that it was already in the process of attacking someone else, and it looked like they were struggling with it.

"Can't you just die already?!" The stranger yelled, the Ichorous Ire taking all that was being thrown at it.

"Wait..." Lassiah looked on for a moment, as if analysing what to do. One of the bomb monsters looked like it could go critical at any second. "Draw it to the Bomb that's about to explode!" She called out, getting the stranger's attention. Not wasting any time, they bolted towards the creature, the slime giving chase as they drew it towards the volatile monster's explosive radius. Sure enough, the explosion caused by the critter was enough to kill the slime... or at least, split it into smaller parts. Thankfully they were able to repeat the process to finish it off fairly quickly.

"H...heh... if I knew that thing's weakness was explosions, I would have tossed a few explosive spells its way - I honestly thought I had to kill those Bomb things as well! Thank you for the help, friend!" The stranger chuckled.

"I'm guessing this is your first time here as well?" Lassiah asked, approaching the stranger. "We could team up if you want, it'd help everything go faster!" She extended a hand.

"You know, I think I'd like that - it'd be nice to find my way out of this damn mine!" They responded, grasping Lassiah's hand in their own. Their own, scaly, taloned hand.

"...what..."

"Let me guess... you don't have a race of sentient bird folk here, do you?" They responded, disposing of the robes they were wearing. Lassiah's jaw almost hit the floor when she saw herself standing face to face with a tall, anthropomorphic raven lady.

Lassiah's initial response would have been to tell her about the Ixal and Vanu Vanu, but words were temporarily failing her right now. The former were thin, bird-like monsters whilst the latter were stocky, avian beasts, and this one didn't fit either description. "Errr..."

"Heh, and I thought in a world that isn't my own, people would be more used to seeing creatures like me!" She stepped closer, taking a look over Lassiah. "Although, I don't think I've ever seen a human with horns and scales in my world... are you a human?"

"I... I'm a Raen..." She managed to mutter.

"A Raen, huh?" The raven responded - the name did sound familiar, but she couldn't quite place a talon on it. "I'm sure it'll come to me eventually... anyway, what brings you down here?"

"I'm trying to find my way through this place so I can defeat the boss monster in here - I'm sure they're holding onto something I'm trying to look for to continue on my quest!"

"A quest, you say?" She eyed up Lassiah's garb. "I'm guessing that'd make you something like a Warrior of Light, then?"

"Exactly! How do you know?"

It then clicked in her mind - the realm that she was in now was one that, in her world, was simply an online video game, one she had spent a few idle nights playing between potion making and other fun activities. She wanted to say, but at the same time, she feared that she'd make the poor girl's brain try to divide by zero. "Errr... let's just say it's a lucky guess! A big yellow bird told me about them!"

"You can talk to chocobos? That's amazing!" She beamed. "I mean, then again, you ARE a bird, I guess it's only natural you can understand their kwehs and all!"

"Yeah, let's leave it at that for now." She said. "Anyway, I'm Shade!"

"I'm Lassiah!"

"So how long have you been stuck in these mines for, Lassiah?"

"I'd say it's been between one and two hours, it's starting to get a bit annoying trying to find my way back on the right track!"

"You didn't think to go with a group?" Shade replied.

"I guess I should have, yeah..." She muttered. "Anyway, do you think you'd be willing to join up with me? Being a white mage, my offensive skills are kinda limited, and having someone on hand who can do damaging magic would be a big plus... actually, what kind of magic can you do?"

"Primarily black magic, but I can summon a few familiars to help out as well~" Shade trilled.

"Really, you can use two classes at the same time? That's awesome! I can only use one set of skills at a time based on the job crystal that I'm using, hence why I'm a white mage."

Shade was no stranger to that - in the bit that she played, she was alternating between a summoner and a dancer, and trying to make sure both classes had all the best gear at different levels wasn't an easy task.

"So all that you're able to do is limited to a crystal that you have equipped?" She thought for a moment. "Have you considered trying another class?"

"It's crossed my mind a couple of times, but I feel like that for now, I'm probably better off sticking as a class that can heal large parties and everything."

"Well... I might have something that could help you out if you want to try something more physical!" She reached into the satchel she had around her waist, pulling out a small item. "I believe this is one of those job crystals, one that should give you the abilities of a Dragoon!"

"A Dragoon? Me?" She couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of herself leaping around with a giant lance, raining pain on anyone who got in her way. It'd probably make soloing dungeons more trivial as well!

"It's yours if you want it!" She extended her hand, the crystal resting in her palm.

"Eh... why not?" Lassiah giggled, taking it carefully from Shade's claws. "Wait, won't I need to have actual Dragoon gear and weapons beforehand?"

"If that's the case, I'm sure I'll be able to magic you up some decent gear!"

"Oh? Think you can make some good gear?" She asked slyly.

"I don't think I can make it anything above your current level, but I'm sure I can get something sorted out for you~" Shade responded with an even slyer smirk.

"Well, here goes nothing!" Lassiah removed her current job crystal, putting it away in her bag as she inserted the crystal that the raven had given her into the pendant around her neck, the stone glowing a deep blue as it clicked in, the clothing for her White Mage gear vanishing as it was stored away - she couldn't use gear that didn't match her current class, after all. She felt a rush of energy going through her, but she didn't seem to initially gain any knowledge of her new role. "... huh... I thought I would have at least gained the knowledge of my base moves..."

"Oh trust me, they'll come to you very soon, my friend..." Lassiah didn't notice Shade's beaky smirk growing wider, the magic within the crystal starting to do its job. The patches of scaly skin over Lassiah's body, a common trait of all Au Ra alongside small tails and a set of horns, were starting to grow thicker, slowly moving to cover more of her body. The new scales were a dark blue in color, which spread to the existing ones as well.

"Normally it comes to you fairly quickly! I mean sure, I wasn't expecting how to spear jump right from the off, but I thought something would happen by now!" She responded, still unaware of the spreading scales for now. They moved up her arms, the muscles expanding ever so slightly, her middle fingers merging together as the scales encased them, sharp claws sprouting from her fingertips.

"Just give it a moment, and I'm sure you'll notice something!" She continued to tease Lassiah - although it didn't happen too often, it was always fun to see humans - or Raen, in this case - appear seemingly oblivious to the start of their transformations.

"I just hope it's soon, I can't really go through these mines as a Dragoon if I don't even have any Dragoon abilities or gear!" The scales continued spreading, thick, armoured growths growing out from her upper arms and around her neck. "I'm starting to think that you're having me o-ooohh..." A groan left her mouth as she felt a sudden pressure in her chest.

"Are you saying that I'm not a trustworthy bird?" Shade stepped closer, the markings on her body glowing softly. She watched Lassiah's breasts swell in size, her modest bust growing to virtually triple what they were moments beforehand, thick, plated scutes forming along her front, though her nipples were still visible through them, a dark shade of blue in contrast of the gunmetal silver of the scutes.

"Aaahh... what..." She brought her hands to feel them, and then immediately noticed the now-clawed fingers. "What in the seven hells?" She gasped, the scales and scutes working their way down lower. "How is this even happening?"

"It's probably the job crystal I gave you - I thought it was for a Dragoon class, but it seems more that it's for a DRAGON class~" She giggled.

"D-dragon?!" She gasped, her tail growing longer and thicker, the scales and scutes working their way over it as it grew into a proper tail befitting what she was becoming, not some small semi-vestigial thing that looked vaguely draconic.

"And not just any dragon, either!" She watched Lassiah's tail sway about, the scales working their way down her legs, the muscles growing as they were covered. "Since this is for a job class, I kinda figured 'go big or go home', and who bigger when it comes to dragons than Bahamut?"

"B-BAHAMUT?!" She blurted out in shock - this had to be some kind of joke, right? This friendly-looking raven couldn't seriously be turning her into the mindless Dreadwyrm that brought about the end of the Seventh Umbral Era, was she? "You CAN'T turn me into the hellish, feral beast that tried to destroy our world!"

"Normally most people tend to be quite happy that I'm turning them into big, powerful beasts..." Shade stepped closer, looking up at the growing Lassiah. "As for 'hellish' and 'feral', that's not really my thing... ok, hellish sometimes if I'm in a monstrous mood, and I'm fine with feral as long as they've still capable of speech and thought, but I can assure you, what you're becoming ISN'T the dragon that escaped from imprisonment in Dalamud... hell, you don't even look a thing LIKE that Bahamut!"

"THAT Bahamut... how many are there?" She lurched forwards, her feet cramping up as the changes hit them, all pressure shifting to her tiptoes as they in turn splayed out and stretched longer, the middle toes merging whilst the big toe relocated towards her heels, long, deadly curving talons growing from them, the soles of her feet roughening up.

"Hrm... I'd say at the very least 16, give or take a few!" She cawed, Lassiah's body mostly draconic at this point. "You're kind of a special case, though~" She added, a burning heat filling Lassiah's loins.

"Ahh... hrrrhhh..." She gasped, her lips growing moist from the sudden rush of arousal. She was about to say something in regards to how there could possibly be that many different Bahamuts when she noticed something starting to poke free from above her scaly pussy. "Wha... what's going on now..." She growled, looking down as she saw what appeared to be a scaly set of balls growing from out of a new genital slit, followed up by a large, imposing spear jutting outwards, growing by the second. The head pushed into a spiky point, the base gaining a thick, fleshy knot, hir new cock glistening with need.

"Bahamut is always depicted as a male dragon. I was almost tempted to make it so that you would have turned fully male, but it's always fun to see a herm dragoness every now and then!"

"Hrrhhh... herrrrmm..." Shi moaned, hir cock throbbing lustfully, hir eyes glazing over as shi looked at Shade. Shi arched hir back, feeling a pair of bumps pressing against it, slowly growing bigger and bigger before bursting free, a pair of great, scaly wings erupting outwards, the fingers on each limb lined with webbing that appeared red on the front and blue on the back, the top of the wings tipped with a trio of giant talons, the middle one raptor-like in appearance.

"Yup. Plus it's safe to say those new needs are probably getting to your head, right?" She grasped hir cock in her talons, placing her beak around the head, taking it into her mouth. "We better get your thoughts back to battling rather than fucking so we can continue through this dungeon~" She finished, muffled by hir girthy dick.

"Hrhrh...rrruhrarrgghhhh!!" Shi hissed, hir neck clicking and popping as it grew longer and thicker, carrying hir head from hir shoulders, hir shaft dribbling as shi thrusted into Shade's grasp. Hir hair fell away from hir head, hir horns becoming longer and sharper, slightly repositioning themselves as hir ears shrank away into tiny holes on the sides of hir head.

"That's it, I knew you'd grow to love this quickly!" Hir head repositioned slightly to better rest on hir longer neck, hir jaws thrusting forwards to allow room for hir growing teeth, vicious, serrated fangs growing free through hir gums as hir existing teeth quickly shifted to match what was growing in. Smoke rose from hir nostrils, hir nose sinking into hir upper jaw, hir mouth now fully formed into a draconic muzzle. Hir eyes moved to the sides of hir head, the pupils pulling into slits as an emerald green colour filled them.

"Rrrggghh... I.. I feel so strong..." Shi huffed, thrusting faster into Shade's beak. "I... I..."

"Don't hold back, my dear, let it all flow out!" The raven chirped, hungrily sucking on the dragon's cock. She could feel it spasm within her beak, any further stimulation threatening to push hir over the edge. Sporting a devious smirk, hir taloned toes stroked against Lassiah's scaly vagina, sending hir into overdrive.

"Rrrgghhh... fuuuuckkkk fucccccckkk FUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Shi roared at the top of hir lungs, causing the cavern to shake violently as the dragon came, hir cock pulsing as shi fired off into Shade's beak, the avian mage struggling to take it all in before pulling away, getting a blast of cum to her face.

"RRRRAHRAARRRRRHRHRHHHH....hrhrhr...hrhrraarhhh..." Shi huffed, slumping forwards as hir thoughts cleared up. "Ooooohh... that... that was wild..." Shi sighed, looking down at Shade, watching her wipe the seed away from her face.

"You're telling me~" She laughed, licking the excess mess from her beak. "Still, you took it in your stride after some initial hesitation!"

"H...heh..." Shi blushed, rubbing the back of hir head. "This new form of mine's gonna take a bit of getting used to..." Shi stood up, taking a look over hirself. "But what if I wanted to go back to being a white mage, can I just..." She reached up to feel her pendant, but quickly noticed that it wasn't there. "Wait, where'd it go?"

"It's inside of you now - I mean why would you wanna go back to being a hu- I mean, Raen, when you can be a big, strong dragon instead?"

"I... I guess that makes sense..." Shi ran hir hand along hir much larger breasts, glancing down at hir cock, which shi saw had retreated back into the new slit, along with hir balls. "There's a lot to lose from going back, I suppose!"

"Exactly!" Shade beamed. "And you're in a dungeon as well, I'm sure you'll be able to blast through the rest of this without much of an issue now!"

As she said that, the two creatures heard growling and snarling coming their way, a hoard of monsters descending upon them.

"Looks like they heard your orgasmic roar, dear Lassiah!" Shade chirped, watching as they moved in closer. "Wanna try out one of your new moves?" She gestured towards a bridge that led out of the current chamber - it'd probably be a good idea for them to be halfway into the next room before letting loose on everything coming their way.

"Yeah, I think I could give it a try!" Shi flew back towards the bridge, energy charging up in hir muzzle as an attack naturally came to mind. "Take THIS!" Shi roared, firing off a Mega Flare, several blasts shooting from hir muzzle as they crashed into the middle of the room, striking the monsters. It seemed to do the job, killing the charging beasts. At the same time, however, it also resulted in blasting out the floor, the bridge that they were standing on collapsing as a result.

"Ooooh bollocks..." Lassiah was able to mutter before gravity kicked in, hirself and Shade falling down into the freshly created chasm. The space of the area and the falling debris made trying to fly upwards impossible, but by some small stroke of luck, the two landed in a stream that just so fortuitously flowed beneath them, the two creatures being gently carried away by it. "So much for trying to clear the dungeon!"

"Sweetie, with what you just did, I don't think ANYONE's going to be able to clear that any time soon!" Shade laughed as she let the stream take her wherever it was taking them, daylight eventually shining through as they were ejected out into a clearing that was filled with rich, sprawling greenery and flowers, as well as a myriad of creatures who were startled by the sudden appearance of Shade and Lassiah, a resting flock of chocobo kwehing loudly as they looked at the beasts.

"Bleh!" Lassiah gasped, spitting out a mouthful of water. "Wow, where did we wash up?"

"Somewhere peaceful, thankfully!" Shade smiled, stepping out of the water and onto dry land. "I'm just glad we don't have to deal with any more monsters anytime soon!" She grasped Lassiah's hand, pulling hir out of the stream.

"Yeah, that's true... though I wonder how much experience I got for blasting those monsters?" Lassiah pondered.

"That was a low-level trash mob, I don't think they're gonna give you much of any use. That and you're technically max level as it is! How much more experience does a god need?"

"Oh right..." Shi blushed - this whole 'being Bahamut, or some different version of him' thing was going to take a bit of getting used to, and shi could only hope that no other Warriors of Light would try to turn their weapons on hir.

"You'll get used to it soon enough, don't worry!" She nudged hir side. "Besides, we've got some peace and quiet now, so I'd be curious to learn all about you... well, what you were before all this, if you were inclined to tell me about that!"

"Hrm... I guess it's kind of a moot point now, but I'm sure I'd be able to tell you a small bit about my past and all!"

"Hey, Shade!" a voice called out to her. "I heard all the commotion coming from the Copperbell Mines, are you ok?"

"Oh I'm fine, Amatsu, it was just a little encounter with a new friend of mine... which kinda led to us collapsing the place!"

Lassiah turned to look at Shade's friend, and had shi had not turned into a giant dragon beforehand, shi'd be shocked at the sight of what appeared to be a semi-anthropomorphic chocobo, one with a human-esque torso resting upon the body of a feral horsebird.

"That's..."

"Another friend of mine - he was a human originally before I worked my magic on him, now he's one of my best breeding chocobo, as well as a skilled adventurer. He always comes along with me when I'm visiting other realms!"

"So you're not from this world?" The penny seemed to finally drop, and suddenly the whole thing about sixteen other Bahamuts made a HELL of a lot more sense.

"Oh no, myself and Amatsu are just passing visitors in this realm. I took a wrong turn looking for some items and ended up lost in that damn mine, I'd probably still be in there if it wasn't for your intervention with that slime monster!"

"Heh, well I'm glad to have been in the right place at the right time..." Shi blushed. "But what now... does that mean you'll be going back to your realm soon?"

"Yes, but not until I'm done gathering stuff. What can be a few days in this realm might only be a few hours back where I'm from, so I've got time to kill!" She smiled. "So when we're all done resting up and exchanging tales here, why don't ya show me where you normally hang out? I'm sure I'll be able to explain everything to your friends and allies!"

"I'd like that." The dragoness smiled warmly to hir new friends, using a controlled burst of fire from hir maw to ignite an old campfire that had been left largely intact by some previous adventurer. The three creatures gathered around it, talking among themselves and exchanging stories and experiences well into the night, departing when the moon was high in the sky. Lassiah quickly adapted to hir new wings, and was surprised to see that the chocobotaur was also capable of flight, Shade taking it in turns to ride atop him as well as fly beside him.

Shi didn't quite know what to expect just yet, but shi wasn't going to complain - shi felt like shi could take on any challenge that dared to rear its ugly head, Ascian or Empire.
