It looks like Sawyer is staying with us. I still don't like the idea behind it, but Donovan has assured me that he won't harm me or torment me while he's here. And to his credit, Sawyer hasn't tried anything yet. I'm always cautious of him when he walks into a room, but I'm almost always with one of the other men. Balthazaar was indeed replaced, and now the council is back at full strength with stronger, older and more insane members according to Sawyer and his information. The fact that some demi-God is playing with us and toying with wereanimals alone freaks me out, but the fact my beast's capabilities have caught his attention, freaks me out more. I have started having dream after dream, and each time I dream about this place the world swims and I end up facing that Jackal and waking up. Sawyer believes its a sign that the Jackal is watching me. It creeps me out and my sleeping pattern has gone all haywire again.
Aleksander spent three weeks having nightmare after nightmare, but it fizzled out and died in no time. His time spent in our penthouse should've been enough to frighten him off and even out of the coalition, but Aleksander has stayed with us and lives in the penthouse with us now. He's offered up the cheetah information grapevine and it seems to have confirmed the information that Sawyer handed us when he moved in. Aleksander has the odd bad dream here and there, but he seems to take solice in climbing into my bed and cuddling up with me. Whatever makes him feel better. He'd fought for me and done his best. The compassion I felt for him has grown and grown as time passed. And I think deep down I may even love him now. Its too soon to say. Maximillian was furious that once again he missed an encounter with the council. Donovan said it was because he'd endangered his lions enough, and had decided against contacting him when we'd gone to the beach to meet Balthazaar. Donovan said it was because he was going to be a father.
Maximillian has agreed to stay off the frontlines, so long as he has some input in the decisions surrounding the council. He's not one-hundred-percent crazy about the fact Sawyer's one of us now. There's him and Kane who have no time for the blue feline. Kane jumps and unsheathes his sword at every bad word that Sawyer says. I need him to tone down the anger, but Kane suffered a huge confidence crisis when he fought and lost against Sawyer, we'd healed him and then brought his tormentor home, it didn't do him any favours and he's gone back to training at a constant pace.
The penthouse has been rebuilt and even improved. Donovan, Snow and I spent one weekend painting and decorating. Aleksander joined us and it turned into a very good weekend. At one point all four of us were snuggled up in bed, sleeping and enjoying one another's company.
I'm now bound to four alphas. Donovan, Snow, Kane and Aleksander. Donovan has theorised that me being bound to a lion would bolster our strengths further, but until I find someone I'm emotionally attached to, he's cool with it being just the five of us. I asked them all if they were comfortable sharing me, and all of them are extremely laid back about the idea. Both Snow and Aleksander have even said that group sex is a turn on, so they don't mind the fact four males are sharing me.
The coalition is now made up of the wolves, lions, cheetahs and the two tigers we also house. There are still the hyenas and tigers that need to be asked into the coalition. The hyenas should be simple enough, according to Kane their alpha has heard about us and has shown great interest. But the tigers are still stubborn. From what we'd heard, Nico has gone on vacation with his immediate family. Someone else is in charge for three weeks, and both Kane and Donovan believe this may be the time to try and convince some of the tigers to join our cause. However, Sawyer believes sneaking in and stealing their tigers might piss Nico off more. The ideas are all up in the air, and for now we're going to look and focus on the hyenas more so than the tigers. We agreed to leave them til last and that's what we're going to do.
For now we have to worry about the Jackal, his council, the hyenas and our own necks. With Sawyer here, I don't doubt we'll survive a lot longer. But what happens when the Jackal is dead? So many questions, so little time.
