#5 of Poke U

In this entry, Rex and Nocturne head off to Archery class with Instructor SnipeS. Then, Rex meets up with Heart for Day 1 of Chemistry class with Professor Sol. However, something is going on at Poke U. What is the mystery surrounding Floor 7?

Poke U: A Lesson Learned

"Hey Heart, you up yet?"

"..."

"Heart?" Rex, still lying in his bed, turned over to his side, but did not see a Tyrantrum anywhere in sight. Oh, I guess he must have left already to head to practice. Rex looked over at his phone, the time displayed 7:00 AM, as he gave off a low yawn before lifting up his body. He stretched a little bit, wiggling his arms and legs as he slowly descended upon his bunk ladder. Meanwhile, the door to his room swung open as a Tyrantrum wearing nothing but a towel walked in.

Rex looked over at his roommate, seeing a well chiseled upper body, firm muscles along the arms and legs. A towel wrapped the lower half, hiding anything suspicious behind it. Rex blushed a little, staring a little bit too long as thoughts ran across his head. He heard a chuckle, snapping him back to reality as Heart shook his head and slowly grabbed his clothes from his closet. As quickly as Heart dropped the towel, the boxers were neatly worn and secured on his body.

"Hey Rex, my eyes are up here."

Embarrassed, Rex quickly turned around in shame. "I'm sorry Heart. I didn't mean to."

Heart walked up and gently pat Rex on his shoulder. "It's alright. We are all men here anyway. Just don't stare for too long, or else you will be giving off some unwanted signals."

Rex placed his hands on his face, covering it as he felt ashamed for what happened.

Heart looked over at Rex with concern, unsure of what he should say next. "Umm...Rex? Is there something you may want to talk about? Like, is there anything bothering you. We're roommates and I don't judge anyone. Just talk to me if it's something I said or did that bothered you."

Rex turned his head and looked up at Heart, seeing those sharp fangs smiling down at him in a sincere way. "It's...nothing Heart...I mean...I am just...not sure about...myself right now..."

Heart let out a big sigh. "Is it about what Professor Leo did to you? We can bring that up with Nocturne and the school if you feel very uncomfortable."

Rex's eyes widened, seeing how he dodged a certain bullet, but was now loaded with this other question. "Oh, him? Yea...I guess you can say that. I'll talk to Nocturne about it. I am positive we will see him soon. He's going to follow me and complain about my luck all the way to archery class...heh."

Heart smiled. "True, you are a rather lucky Pokémon, aren't you Rex? Anyway, I am going to get ready for practice. You should get ready for your classes as well." He began to pack his laptop into his backpack. "We have chemistry with Professor Sol later this morning, so I hope you read up on the syllabus and whatnot. Otherwise, you might fall asleep again and I bet the professor will do something to you," said Heart teasingly with his tongue sticking out.

Rex picked up a pillow and threw it at Heart, who easily caught it. "Shut up Heart. Haha. Just go enjoy your football practice. I'll see you later at chemistry class."

*knock knock*

Both Heart and Rex looked at the door, before Heart slowly walked over and peered through the peephole, seeing a Zoroark in sweats standing outside, his hands in the sweatshirt's pockets.

Heart looked back at Rex. "Oh, it's Nocturne."

"Hmm...I wonder what he wants?" Rex asked inquisitively.

Heart chuckled, "I bet to kidnap you so that you lose your spot. Or maybe, to impersonate you with his species abilities and inform Instructor SnipeS you are dropping his class."

Rex slanted his eyes, rearing back to throw something else he could find at Heart, but Heart opened the door and in stepped Nocturne, dashing past him quickly to get to Rex.

"Rex, where are you? Oh, there you are. Still in bed? Perfect, that means I will take your spot then." Nocturne rubbed his hands together before using his ability and transforming himself into a perfect replica of Rex. "I will finally get into that archery class that I've wanted since last year."

Rex stared at a body double of himself, all of the features identical. Rex took another pillow near him and chugged it at "Other Rex". At the moment of impact, "Other Rex" turned back into Nocturne, as he briefly rubbed his side, a little bit of pain from the impact of the pillow.

"Hey, no throwing stuff at your RA Rex!" Nocturne waved his sharp, red claw at him.

Heart let out another chuckle while Rex smirked. "To be honest Nocturne, you did a pretty good job of impersonating me. I think you would be able to pass off as me no problem. But, now I am wondering, wouldn't your power be a bit of a problem come testing time?"

Nocturne jumped onto Heart's bed, sitting perfectly on the edge as he dangled his feet, swinging them back and forward. "If you don't mind, Heart?"

Heart shook his head. "As long as you don't make a mess. I like my sheets perfectly tucked in. But I'll catch you two later. See ya." Heart waved as he left through the door, closing it behind him.

"Thanks Heart. Anyway, to answer your question Rex, for anyone who identifies themselves as a Zoroark or a Ditto." Nocturne showed Rex a wristband on his left arm. "We all have to wear this at all times. All of the professors and instructors at our school have a sensor that detects these things. And, if at any point we were to remove them, that will send a signal to the administrative office. I know a lot of my kind have strong feelings about this, but we understand the intent behind it. And besides, I only impersonate people I like anyway." Nocturne smiled at Rex.

Rex nodded his head in agreement, but his eyes kept staring at Nocturne's feet. The soft foot with the three sharp, red claws attached to it. Rex couldn't take his eyes off of it, until he heard another sound from the owner.

"Rex? You ok there pal? You look like you are staring off into space."

Rex shook his head, his eyes met with Nocturne's confused ones. "Oh, sorry. I was just spacing out. Anyway, I see. I guess the school has a way to prevent cheating."

Nocturne nodded his head. "That is right. Here at Poke U, they take cheating into a serious manner, almost to the point of expulsion. But, no one would dare do that. Getting into Poke U was a pain, as you already know. So why would you give it all up?"

"True, that is true Nocturne." Rex paused a for a moment, to a curious looking Nocturne staring back at him. "I have another question though Nocturne, if you don't mind me asking."

Nocturne jumped to the floor, looking up at Rex. "Go ahead and shoot."

"It's about Professor Leo, the Psychology professor."

"Oh...this guy, right?" Nocturne clapped his hands together, before turning into a Latios, although not exactly the same as Leo. Still, the red eyes that Rex saw in "Other Leo" stuck to his mind. "Yea, I didn't take his class yet, been pushing off this as much as I can. I would rather take his sister's version of it instead. But what about him Rex?"

"What do you exactly know about him?"

The Latios placed a claw to his chin, hovering in place. "Well, I do not know much more then he hates students who do not pay attention in class. He's a bit of a mysterious fellow. I know that the dorm we are living in now was named after him and his sister. And they were very successful in their careers. Both of them really loved Poke U, and wanted to come back here and teach."

"I see. Well, he just asked me to come see him once a week in his office. He kept talking about wanting to learn more about my species and making sure I feel comfortable at Poke U."

"That's pretty nice of him then. I know our professors here really want to know their students. And seeing how you are indeed a unique species yourself, he must have taken a liking to you. But..." Nocturne transformed back into his regular self and looked at his phone, seeing how the time is already 7:30 AM. "...We should get going Rex, don't want to be late to archery class and lose your spot. We can talk more along the way."

Rex nodded his head and jumped out of bed, grabbing his backpack and started heading towards the door. "Yea, let's head out Nocturne. I do hope you get lucky and get a spot."

Nocturne placed his paw on Rex's back. "Let me just absorb some of yours then, that is how it works, right?"

Rex shook his head and rolled his eyes, smiling at Nocturne before they both left his room and headed towards the archery field.

On their way, Rex talked to Nocturne about his first day of class. He explained about the Bayleef he bumped into and that they all live on the same floor. He even informed Nocturne how they shared Professor Leo's class together. Nocturne smiled, good to see that one of his residents enjoying his time so far at Poke U. However, Nocturne drew more concern when Rex relayed what Professor Leo did to Rex's mind. Nocturne suggested he could bring it up to the Dean, but Rex brushed him off. Soon, they arrived in the open field, seeing nothing more than a single loan target on the field. A bunch of other Pokémon crowded the field around them, all in hopes of getting into the class. Not too long, they all witnessed a nicely dressed Inteleon waltz his way to the crowd.

Rex turned to Nocturne and bumped him on his side. "Hey Nocturne, is that him?"

Nocturne looked over to where Rex was gesturing. "Oh, that is Instructor SnipeS in the flesh. It's so cool to actually meet a Pokelympic Champion. I really want to get into his class."

"I am sure you will, I mean, first spot on the waitlist is almost a sure in, right?"

"Ehh, I hope so. But you never know. Let's see what he has to say."

The Inteleon walked towards the crowded students, his attention focused on the target some yards away. He brought out his index finger and pointed at it, before a jet stream of water released from his finger and hit the bullseye perfectly. He smiled before blowing air at his finger and looked back at the crowd of students, cheering and applauding him. The Inteleon bowed, enjoying the glory before he addressed them in a strong, British accent.

"Bloody hell, I do amaze myself at times. Anyway, welcome to archery class everyone. I am Instructor SnipeS and I will be your coach to learning the ways of the bow and arrow. Now, my little show earlier is something my species is known to do, but I know you all will be able to use the them with no problem." SnipeS scanned the crowd, looking for a particular species. "Hmm, I don't see any Decidueyes in the crowd. But doesn't matter, you all have the potential to be somewhat decent shooters after this semester. However, let's get the annoying logistics out of the way. I am late for tea time."

SnipeS brought out a clipboard and started to read off names. As he was going down the list, Rex heard moans from the crowd, knowing that the chances for people to add the class on the spot was dwindling down. Everyone who signed up for the class was present, all raising their hands or paws in the air rather noticeably. When SnipeS got to the 24th and final spot, he called out, "Rex...Rex Owens?"

"Here Instructor!" Rex waved his hands frantically in the air.

SnipeS looked over at the unique dinosaur, eyeing him up and down. "Never seen a species like you before. But this is Poke U after all. Blimey, they take about anyone who has potential." SnipeS checked Rex's name off the list. "Hmm, I guess that calls for everyone. Sorry that we cannot accept everyone, I hope to see you all next semester."

A wave of disappointment washed through the crowd, as the majority of the Pokémon that hoped to get into the class received the bad news. Rex looked over to Nocturne, who looked like he was about to tear up and cry in distress. However, Nocturne brought his arm up and wiped them, smiling at Rex. "Well, I tried. I am happy you got in Rex, I really am. I guess I am not lucky as you. UGH!" Nocturne screamed into the sky, waving his arms in distress. In a few seconds, he brought them down and sulked. "It's alright, I can hopefully get lucky next time." Nocturne slowly started to walk away before he heard a name call out.

"Nocturne. Is there a Nocturne here?" SnipeS leered his eyes, trying to spot any Pokémon that would luckily raise his hand.

Nocturne immediately jumped, waving his hands in the air. "I'm Nocturne, Instructor SnipeS. That's me."

"Ahh. Well it's your lucky day. I usually only take 24 students per semester, but it looks like I can take just one more, and you were number one on the waitlist. So, congrats." SnipeS checked off Nocturne's name on his list before turning around and gathering some of his archery equipment and placing them on the ground.

Nocturne immediately turned to Rex and hugged him tightly. "Oh Arceus, I got in Rex! I can't believe it! I swear, I should hang out with you more often."

Rex smiled, patting Nocturne gently on the back. "I'm happy for you Nocturne. I guess we can share a class together, even if it's just archery class."

Nocturne nodded his head. "Of course! I can't wait to tell Heart. I am sure he would love to hear this. I wonder what luck you will bring him."

"Ehh, I don't know honestly. I think it's more fate then luck."

Nocturne slanted his eyes. "Sure, tell yourself that lucky boy."

Rex rolled his eyes, but turned his attention to Instructor SnipeS. He had set up a bow and nocked the arrow to the string. Everyone around him was silent as SnipeS stared intently at the target in front of him. All of a sudden, he released the string and the arrow flew straight towards the target, hitting the bullseye dead center. He smirked before turning to his students and bowed. "This, I hope you all will get the chance to do at the end of the semester. With no wind right now, it's a bit easier to shoot, but hey, expect the unexpected. I might also make it rain and have it harder for you guys to shoot. For now though...hmm..." SnipeS looked at the rest of his students before his gaze fell onto Rex. "You there, blue dinosaur...Mr. Rex."

A bit surprised, Rex nervously raised his hand in the air. "Umm...yes Instructor SnipeS?"

SnipeS gestured him to walk towards him with his hand. "Please, come here real quick mate."

Rex walked over and stood next to the Inteleon, with Nocturne standing near the rest of the crowd. "Before I end class today, I want you to give it a try. See where you start now and see where you end up."

"But Instructor, I never used a bow and arrow before. I honestly have no idea what to do."

"It's alright, just nock the arrow to the string and pull back. Once you feel it tense enough with force, let go and see where the arrow will fly." SnipeS handed the bow and one arrow to Rex.

Rex nervously accepted the equipment, nocking the arrow like he was told. He saw the nock of the arrow, the little divot where the string would be placed. Once he positioned it properly, he pulled back and felt the tension in the string. SnipeS smiled, nodding his head as Rex stared at the target. It looked to be miles away, and no way was he going to hit anything. Rex took a big gulp as he tried his best to aim at the target. He closed his eyes and let the arrow fly, causing his body to stumble and fall on the ground. He heard giggles in the crowd, embarrassed at what he just did. However, he heard a gasp as the arrow landed right next to SnipeS, hitting that bullseye.

SnipeS, both shocked and amazed, smiled at Rex and gave a slow clap. "My my, not the most conventional pose, but it gets the job done. Hopefully, we can work on your form, so that you look more graceful and less like a wanker. Anyway, I will clean up here. Everyone, I will see you all in two days. Be prepared to learn how to string your bow, since I won't be doing it for all of you. Class is dismissed."

Nocturne rushed over to Rex, clapping his hands. "Wow! Just plain wow. This luck of yours, I just don't know how to describe it."

Rex shrugged his shoulders. "Nocturne, please, stop talking about my luck. I think things happen for a reason. Anyway, I need to head to Chemistry class. What do you have next?"

"Hmm, I have music theory with Professor Tox, the Toxtricity. He's a cool guy and knows a lot about music. If you are curious, I recommend you give his class a try. My class is in the building next to yours, so we can walk over there together."

"Sure Nocturne, sounds like a plan." Rex and Nocturne then headed off to their next classes, leaving the open field behind them.

As the two made their way to their destination, they talked about how much fun Archery class was going to be. Nocturne would not stop referencing the amount of luck Rex has. Rex, shy about hearing all of these praises, hid his face every time Nocturne would say something that went his way. However, Nocturne was very lighthearted about it and reassured Rex that it was with all good intentions. Eventually, they arrived to their next classes and departed, saying to each other that they will meet again soon for lunch. Waiting outside the hallway was Heart, talking with a rather burly looking Haxorus. He wore the same sweatshirt that Heart wore as a football player. Rex managed to see a name on the back, and it said "Unnerve". Heart saw Rex and waved to him, the Haxorus also looking at Rex. Rex swore he saw a smirk from that axe dragon as he was being observed by him. Before Rex could approach to talk with him, the Haxorus patted Heart on the back before waving goodbye himself.

"Hey there Heart, who was that Haxorus that was just here?"

Heart smiled. "Oh him? He's our star quarterback, Axel. His nickname is Unnerve, since he does not fall under pressure as easily. Nothing can get him nervous while he's on the field. Anyway, you'll see him later. We all have biology class together and I would like to introduce you to him."

Rex blushed a little, a bit nervous about meeting so many new Pokémon already. "You really don't have to Heart. I mean, he's one of your friends and teammates right? I don't want to be a bother."

Heart grabbed onto Rex's shoulder. "It's no big deal, really. Axel even told me he would like to meet you as well. Even though he's really popular and all the girls want him, he's a down-to-earth guy like me too. And besides, none of the girls are going to get him anyway, heh. Anyway, we should head inside before it's too late."

Rex nodded his head. "Oh yea, let's go Heart." Both Heart and Rex entered the classroom, starting their first day of Chemistry class together.

As they both entered the lecture hall, Rex felt déjà vu all over him. It looked like a carbon copy of Professor Leo's class. Rows upon rows of tight chairs all jammed pack together, with desk space being considered real estate. Heart and Rex walked up the aisle before they found a few seats dead center to viewing the stage below. Even for a big guy like Heart, he sat comfortably in his desk. They both brought out there laptops, opening the course syllabus and waited for Professor Solrent to show up. Rex turned his head to Heart and asked, "Hey Heart, have you heard anything about Professor Sol?"

Heart shook his head. "Unfortunately, I do not know much. Even with the upperclassman from the team, not many of them took his class. I heard a lot actually avoided him, but they did not tell me why."

Disheartened, Rex slumped into his chair. "Oh...I see...That's not good."

Heart gently patted Rex on his shoulder. "Cheer up Rex, I am sure they just don't have much of an interest in the science field as we do. I am sure they are trying to find those easy A's. I relish the challenge, just like I do every game."

"Thanks Heart. I wish I had the same outlook as you. You are always so positive and reassuring."

"Hey, what can I say? I try my best. Anyway, I think Professor Sol is here." Heart pointed down to the center stage as the entire class started to get quieter.

A Charizard in a white lab coat slowly walked onto the stage. He wore a red, plaid button-up with a white undershirt and blue jeans. As with most Pokémon at the school, they all elected to not wear any sort of coverings for their feet. He had on simple frames and green eyes as he turned his head towards the class. Somehow though, his wings protruded from the lab coat, as they were fully extended, showing off his cream colored in the membranes. Rex thought to himself, I always wondered how those with wings wore clothes. I guess those tailors have to work hard time for our wing-folk brethren. And also, for a Charizard, Professor Sol doesn't have the typical green-like wings. I guess it must be a genetic mutation or something.

The Charizard placed his headset on, walked to the whiteboard and wrote, Professor Solrent Castor, before clicking a button on his headset. "Okay you rowdy bunch, listen up." The entire class grew silent as the Charizard scanned the entire class, looking for any sleepers. "I better not find anyone taking a snooze, or I will personally go up there and wake you up myself. Hmph." Rex immediately sat up on his seat, his eyes wide open as he heard a soft chuckle to his side. "You will all call me by Professor Sol, and this is chemistry class. Now, if you think this is going to be easy, then you might as well drop out now. I have no patience for anyone who does not take it seriously." The crowd started to stir in their seats, some murmurs being passed around. Professor Sol immediately blew a puff of fire into the air, causing everyone to look at him and silence to fall again. "I didn't ask for you to talk to each other about wanting to drop my class or not, you can decide after today if you are brave enough to handle me."

Rex sat nervously in his chair, his hands trembling as he listened to Professor Sol lecture him and the rest of his class. He turned to his side and was shocked to see Heart sitting so peacefully, as if nothing in the world can disturb him. "Psst, hey Heart, how are you so calm after all that?"

Heart smiled, that infectious warmth flowing into Rex. "Ehh, I am just used to being yelled at and stuff like that. This is just class, like any other we have so far. I think he is just trying to be intimidating to weed out the faint of heart. We should be fine Rex."

"If you say so Heart. Man, I am glad you are here with me, I think I would have immediately dropped the class. I don't do so well under pressure."

"Hmm...then when we head into Biology class, I honestly think you and Axel should talk to each other. Maybe he can help you with that."

Rex blushed, remembering that hunky Haxorus he saw earlier. "Oh...sure...yea..."

As Rex turned his head back, both him and Heart were face to face with a Charizard in front of them. Professor Sol squatted, using the backrest of the chairs in the row below them as grips for his feet. With a sense of arrogance, he said, "So, class. We have two Chatty Kathys here. They would rather talk about their personal feelings for this class then pay attention with me on the syllabus."

The entire class turned their heads to the two, as Rex nervously stood still, not used to having this much of the spotlight on him. In the corner of his eyes, Heart just sat there, the same relaxed smile in his face.

"So, decide between the two of you who wants to apologize to me and the rest of the class for wasting our time. Hmm?"

Heart was about to raise his hand until Rex blurted out, "We are sorry Professor Sol. It's entirely my fault. Heart was just helping me because I have some issues with my anxiety. Please, don't punish him for this, he was just trying to help me." Rex looked over at Heart, his expression changed to a concerned one.

Professor Sol smirked as he said, "Well, I accept your pathetic apology, but I expect you to come talk to me after class, you hear?" Rex nodded his head, still embarrassed at being called out. "Good, now back to the task at hand." Professor Sol then glided his way back to center stage, standing back on his two feet as he turned to the class. "Without any more distractions, this is what you should expect..."

Rex slumped in his chair, a few tears dripping down his face as he has never been so scared in his life before. He had his fair share of seeing tough Pokémon, but he feels Professor Sol to be an entirely different level. He felt a gentle rub on his shoulder as he looked to his side. Heart frowned, his eyes saying I'm sorry for that to him. Rex slowly nodded his head, trying his best to not get caught anymore as they both listened to Professor Sol talk about the expectations of his course.

...

"Ok, this wraps up for today." Professor Sol started pacing back and forward between the two ends of the stage. "If you want to drop the class, I won't hold it against you. But for those daring enough to stay, I promise you will be prepared for anything after this. Class is dismissed...Except for that one blue dinosaur, don't think I have not forgotten about you." Professor Sol looked up at Rex's direction, grinning rather sinisterly at him.

Rex gulped, trying to hide his face in shame as Heart stared intently at Professor Sol. He then turned his head to Rex and said, "Hey, don't let him get to you. If you want, I can bring this up with Nocturne. I am sure we can address the Head of the Science department and the Dean about this. This is not right; teachers should not embarrass the students like this. This isn't elementary school."

Rex shook his head. "No, it's fine Heart. I don't want you to get in trouble for what I did. I should be fine. I'll meet you back at our room. Nocturne said he will be waiting for us back there since he wants to join us for lunch."

"Alright Rex, you can have your private chat with Professor Sol. I won't ask what you two will talk about unless you want to share it with me. I'll be waiting for you outside, okay? I'm not going to let a teacher do this to you, okay? Just text me as when you are done with him, so that I know you are safe." Heart placed his backpack on himself as he started headed towards the exit door.

"Yes Heart, I'll text you when I am done. I'll be fine." Rex packed his belongings and walked down the aisle, towards the center stage. They both waved goodbye to each other temporarily, as Heart continued to stare intently at Professor Sol, who just smiled sarcastically back at him. Heart shook his head and exited out the room. Eventually, Rex reached the stage and walked over to Professor Sol, only those two remaining in the classroom. Upon closer inspection, Rex noticed that Professor Sol had a bit of a belly too him, but the button-up hid it well. He stared at the green eyes, as he felt his heart was about to explode.

Professor Sol crossed his arms, as he gently tapped the ground with his foot. "Never seen your kind before, care to give me a name there?"

Rex cleared his throat, a gulp of his saliva slithering down this esophagus. "My name is Rex Owens, professor."

Professor Sol placed one of his clawed fingers to his chin, gently tapping it in rhythm with his foot. "Rex...alright. And I have not seen your species before. You don't look like that Tyrantrum you sat next to, not even a shiny variant of him either."

"No professor. My family is of a rather rare breed. Not much is known about us."

"I see. Well, we aren't here to talk about where you come from, but rather, why you decided to disturb my class."

Rex bowed his head in apology. "I'm sorry about that professor. I am new to this college experience entirely. I am still adjusting to life here at Poke U. Heart is my roommate and he was just trying to calm myself down so that I don't have a panic attack or something like that."

Professor Sol smiled. "Heh, I see. Well I guess you have a good roommate then. But that doesn't change the fact you had to disturb my class. If you needed to take a step outside, I wouldn't have stopped you. Of course, I would ask if everything is okay afterwards for walking out."

Rex's shoulders dropped in defeat. "Oh...so I would have been in trouble no matter what."

"Hmph. Yea, true. But at least that would have been different. Anyway..." Professor Sol started eyeing Rex from top to his bottom, observing him rather intently. Rex briefly looked up, seeing those intense green stare at him. Rex avoided eye contact as much as he could, letting Professor Sol continue his task. "...out of curiosity, you don't happen to stay in Rong, do you?"

A bit shocked, Rex nodded his head. "Umm...yes I do professor. 7th floor to be exact."

Professor Sol smiled grew bigger after hearing that answer. "Heh, interesting."

"Excuse me professor?" Rex tilted his head in confusion, unsure of Professor Sol's remark.

"What they say about floor 7 of Rong. They call it the potential floor. Everyone who stayed in that building on that floor, the rumors were that they all became successful in their careers, just like yours truly." Professor Sol emphasized the last few words, pointing to himself. "Most of us, like Professor Leo and Professor Kain, we all came from that same floor. Heck, even our gold medalist SnipeS at one point stayed on that floor."

Rex's jaw dropped, hearing those all too familiar names at least once before. "I see professor, than I assume you think I have potential then."

Professor Sol placed his hand on Rex's shoulder. "We will see. Like I said earlier, if you can survive my class, you can survive anything. Now, I know your dinosaur friend is waiting for you, so I will see you in two days. I need to prepare myself for next class." Professor Sol smiled before walking off behind stage. Rex looked down and noticed that Professor Sol was picking up his feet a bit higher than normal, showing off the cream colored circle on his foot with three sharp white claws to boot. Rex couldn't keep his eyes off of them until he heard a door close, the professor no longer in sight. Rex shook his head and immediately ran up the stairs, texting Heart that he had just finished his meeting. On his way up, Rex thought to himself, What is it with all my professors wanting to speak to me individually. First was Professor Leo and now with Professor Sol. Even I had a moment with Instructor SnipeS. Ugh, now I am afraid of Professor Kain. Also, who knew they all lived in the same floor in the same building. Something is afoot here in building Rong...afoot....afoot...a foot...wait, why am I thinking that, especially with Professor Sol's?!?
