Trissie yawned as he awoke. The last time Pop had let him out, he let him out as a Dalmatian puppy, on all fours like his Master, and he hated to admit it, but he was getting used to it. He padded along very easily, and it felt nice to have the mind of a child again. He murmured, looking around at the red lands, then yeeped as he felt something poke at his back. He turned over, and saw Project. "H-hey!"

"Hello Tristan." The featureless pup said emotionlessly.

The pup looked nervous. In the last few days, Project had been spreading, and Trissie was getting very worried. "W-what do you want...?"

"That you keep your word." The featureless face seemed to bore into the dal's mind.

"I don't know if that's for the best, Project... Pop's certain to notice if all his denizens become extensions of you." The pup rolled to his feet and stood, slowly backing away.

"They aren't extensions of me, they are me, yet they are individual..." Project calmly stood, face following the pup. "Would you like to learn more..?" The muzzle split, oozing black goo.

Trissie yelped, and ran. He turned and ran out into the city, as fast as his little legs would take him. The pup went block after block dodging traffic and pedestrian alike, starting to feel exhausted. He ran into something black and squealed, flailing and trying to get away.

"Hey there, puppy... what're you afraid of?" When Trissie looked up he realized the pup he had run into had eyes, nose, mouth... and was very handsome... "There we go. I'm not so scary, am I?"

Trissie shook his head, blushing a little, before he realized that the black shep had wings, and they were holding him, every bit as nicely as Pop's did. "Oohh... Who're you...?"

"I'm Mael." The black shep smiled warmly, "And you are?"

Trissie blushed, "I'm Tristan, but recently everyone calls me Trissie."

"Cute." Mael chuckled, "Just like you. Now, what's got you all scared?"

"well, uh..." Trissie looked around worriedly. "You won't tell Pop?"

"Pop...? That your father?" Mael asked kindly.

Trissie blushed, "No, he's my master, he owns this city... but you promise?" He looked up at the canine he'd never seen before a little pleadingly.

"Well, if I ever have the privilege of meeting Pop, I certainly won't tell him what you don't want him to know..." He chuckled, stroking over the dal he had snuggled in his wings.

Slowly, Trissie nodded, "I'm scared of my fellow pet, Project..."

Mael raised a brow inquisitively. "Oh?"

The puppy nodded again, "Yeah... He... well... spreads. I think he's a collective or something. He turns normal critters into copies of himself, but I think they're a bit more than copies. They know things that another Project experienced... but they also seem to do things differently from each other... It's weird, and scary, and Project keeps spreading..."

"Shh... I'll protect you, puppy." Mael said softly, kissing the pup gently, before he lifted the dal up onto his back with his wings, keeping him snugly wrapped as he padded along, wagging "Just relax, you can stay at my place tonight, until those Projects aren't looking for you anymore, then-"

"P-Project!" Trissie interrupted, pointing.

The black shep followed the pointing paw with his blue-green eyes, "Oh, that's a Project...? Reminds me of something that happened back where I'm from, years ago, but they didn't call themselves that."

Trissie blinked, "R-really? Where are you from...?"

"A far-away place. I'm not sure how I got here myself..." Mael's belly rumbled down below the snugly held Dal, "Now relax, I've got you, Trissie."

"What're you gonna do?" The pup asked, still worried, trying to hold on even though he was held tight in wings.

"I'm gonna try something out... If I'm right, you won't have to fear Projects anymore..." Mael said calmly, and pounced Project out of nowhere, licking his lips audibly, "OOhhh.... So you are the same... bet you taste as good."

"W-what?" The Project panicked, and gaped its maw, oozing, trying to defend itself.

Mael leaned down and lapped up some of the goo, taking a nice slow swallow, grinning, "Oh yes... You do taste as good. Did you feel that? You're gonna feel it with your whole body soon..."

Project shivered, "But... Critters can't do that..."

"I'm not just any Critter." The black shep grinned, "I am the Maelstrom, protector of the weak, righter of wrongs... and these days, devourer of Project." He grinned, extending his tongue out long and slick, wrapping it around Project and pulling firmly.

Project whimpered, struggling, but he couldn't resist this new material. It seemed to fuse to the featureless being, absorbing him even as it pulled him into the gaping abyss of similarly shiney blackness...

Mael wagged happily as he gulped around Project, pulling more and more of the pup into him, feeling Project starting to come apart and flow into his insides, just as he expected. The more he had inside the easier the swallowing went, until with a final ulp, the black shep completed his meal... with not even a bulge in his belly to show for it. "It's alright, puppy, he's gone now."

"Y-you sure, Mael...?" Trissie looked around worriedly.

Mael belched thickly, "I'm sure." He chuckled and padded up into a nearby building, up the stairs effortlessly with the weight of Tris on his back, happily wagging.

Trissie blushed deeply, and just rested his head between the bigger pup's shoulderblades as he walked, relaxing.

Soon the black shep arrived at the apartment he had been renting since he arrived in this strange place, and slipped through the black door with Trissie still on him.

The pup gasped and moaned as he pressed through the black material while still on top of Mael, looking around. The whole apartment had been converted to the shep's own black material, "Oh wow..."

"You probably need some rest..." The caring older canine set Trissie down into a soft black dog bed, and perked, as he saw that the pup had grown aroused from his presence. "Or maybe not..."

Trissie perked, looked down, and blushed deeply.

Mael slid around Trissie and eased the smaller pup into his embrace, spooning behind him and letting his own swollen sheath rub against the pup's rump. "Just relax, Trissie."

The smaller canine nodded softly, blushing as one of those wings draped over him, "Oohh... Okay Mael..." He soon felt the pointed slick tip of a canine member pressing under his tail and panted softly, trying to relax like a good puppy.

The black shepherd groaned softly as he pressed in, "Oohh... nice snug puppy." He smiled, licking over one of the spotted pup's ears slowly, happily working his hips, going slow and easy, not wanting to be rough with this cute puppy in his grasp. He gradually sped up though as he felt Trissie getting used to it, holding him close as he bounced off the pup's rump over and over.

Trissie grasped at the soft lining of the dog bed as the thrusts got harder and faster, "Oohhh...." He panted and started pressing his hindquarters back into it, feeling the start of the older pup's knot teasing his tailring. He whined needily, pleasure flooding his mind more and more as the mounting continued.

That knot swelled with every thrust, Mael groaning as he felt it starting to pop in and out of the snug passage each time his hips met the pup's own. His wing molded to the pup he held close, panting and thrusting faster, feeling his peak rising within him.

The puppy's own shaft ground into the slick stretchy wing as it held him in place, panting heavily as his ring was repeatedly stretched, his mind falling back to baser instincts, possibly put there by Pop when he made him a pup. Instincts that told him that he needed to get tied on a knot. He whimpered and pressed his hips back each time he felt the swelling knot pop in and out, feeling it get harder with each repetition.

The knot got harder and harder to push through, before with one last pop, it stuck, and wouldn't come out, continuing to swell. Trissie clenched down, crying out and starting to paint the inside of the dark wing with his climax, blushing deeply.

Mael groaned as his knot locked in and was clenched down on so firmly, yipping and wrapping his muzzle around the back of Trissie's neck holding on tight as he started to gush hot seed into the puppy shot after shot flowing and flowing.

Trissie groaned, feeling his tummy start to stretch from the sheer volume the dark shepherd was unleashing into him, feeling over his belly with a paw as he fell into afterglow after his own peak, although the rushing torrent was still going behind him, wave after wave.

Finally Maelstrom released his muzzle from the pup's neck, his own climax over, and nosed at the dal still tied on his shaft, "That's a good puppy... Wish I could keep you, but I know someone else owns you. I'll have to meet him sometime, if he's as wonderful as you."

Trissie murmured and let out a little belch, black glossy ooze leaking out of his muzzle. He blushed softly and lapped it up, gulping.

Mael chuckled and hugged Trissie gently with his legs and wings, not hard enough to squeeze any more ooze out of him, though, "Oh, just think of it, your spots will be extra black in the morning."

"Thank you Mael..." He murmured, gently flexing around the very immobile knot happily, "And thank you for taking care of me before..."

"It's nothing, sweet pup. I'm sure your master would love to know you're safe." He smiled, stroking the dal's cheek gently.

"I... I think Pop's away... sometimes he goes off somewhere else, and I have no idea where he went..." Trissie said softly, thinking back. "Sometimes he mentions a sister, but then he's forgotten when I bring it up, though other times he talks about other planets..." the puppy was starting to sound a little loopy, likely exhausted from the day he had had.

Mael gently stroked and cooed to Trissie, "Just relax, puppy... get some sleep, it's not like I could stop watching over you any time soon." He wiggled his tied shaft for emphasis and held the puppy closer, once again, but silently now, wishing this puppy was his own.

Trissie nodded and rested his head on the soft dark material of the bed, made from the same stuff Mael was made from, so comfortable, wrapped in the blackness, looking at first to be like the Projects, but it all felt different, safe.

The black shep smiled and settled down himself, dimming the lights as Trissie fell asleep, snugly held in his protective grip, far away from anything that could hurt him.

**************************

The next morning, Trissie awoke to the feeling of arms and wings still snugly around him, though sometime in the night the knotted shaft had finally gone down and retreated back into its sheathy home. The puppy felt safe like this, but he knew he had to go check if Pop had returned home. He didn't know if Pop could feel where he was when he was in this dark apartment, or even if Pop knew it existed. The dal pup yawned and stretched, perking as he found he was bigger than the night before, patting his flat tummy and looking around. He perked as he saw refrigerator magnets. "Perfect!"

**************************

Mael yawwwned and rolled over, then blinked and looked around. There was no sign of Trissie. After a cursory self-examination to make sure his body hadn't decided it wanted the puppy for itself during the night, he noticed his refrigerator magnets were laid out on the floor next to the bed. Trissie had left a note: "Dear Mael, I must away to see if Pop has returned. I loved last night, and hope to see you again soon. Trissie."

The black shep sighed softly, then perked his ear. He heard a very familiar voice yelp outside. He got up and rushed through his door, down the stairs in a glide of wings, and out the front door of the building. There were Projects everywhere.

Trissie had started running, towards where none of the projects had come from, towards the edge of town, where the ground slowly ceased being red and turned to hard, unforgiving earth, a desert.

Mael yipped, "Trissie No! Not that way!" His yell seemed to alert all the Projects to his attention, though only half of them did anything about it, the other half giving chase after Trissie.

The projects surrounded Maelstrom and linked with each other, forming a continuous ring of ooze that started to contract inward towards the pup. Every inch inward it got, the ring got taller, and soon it would be very hard, if not impossible for the winged pup to get aloft.

But Mael didn't seem to care about his own safety. He even let the Project goo engulf him. He moaned softly, enjoying the sensation of Project all over his body, touching him everywhere, seeping into his every orifice, and felt a gentle tug as the united Project tried to take him. Grinning, Maelstrom pulled back. Hard.

From the outside, one would see an amorphous mass of black slowly suck in and down into the shape of a pup laying on the ground, who got up and shook off his wings, taken all of it into himself like a sponge, not even growing an inch.

He licked his lips and ran after the other pack of Project, only hoping that he could get to Trissie before they ran too far.

**************************

Trissie panted hard, the hot sand feeling so wrong on his round paws, everything so gritty and harsh beyond the boundaries of Pop's city, running for his individuality as the pack of Project chased after him. The puppy whimpered and had to keep going, regretting not waking up Mael, or asking him to come with him when he left less than an hour ago.

It felt like he had been running forever, when he saw something different up ahead. At first he thought it was a mirage. He had heard of mirages, light bouncing off of heat, and it definitely was hot out here. He was worried he was going to start melting, feeling how soft and malleable his feet were each time they smushed into the unforgiving earth beneath him. But Mirages weren't supposed to actually get closer to you, like this was.

He was getting closer, it was definitely there, and it looked like Silver, and in the distance, silver buildings; a whole silver city! He desperately hoped that he had not gone mad, and yelped as he felt something brush against his tail. He ran harder, whimpering, knowing his body was about to give out.

His paws met silver. He shuddered and collapsed, sliding along the silver ground, so slick. It was such a shock to go from the harsh unforgiving wasteland to the purity of silver. He moaned and weakly looked back.

Project had stopped. They stood at the edge of the silver, and then one by one, Project turned and walked off back towards Pop's City.

Trissie sprawled. The silver, although under the same sun as the desert, felt cool, so perfectly calming and almost erotic to the dal. He whimpered as he lied there, something about it enticing and new. It was different than the other silver he had felt, back in Pop's city.

He panted softly, and blinked up at a chrome whippet looking down at him. "Hi... uh... where am I?"

"You're in Echo's territory, pup." The whippet's voice was smooth, and his breath smelt a little odd...

Trissie murmured, having trouble keeping his eyes open as he started feeling a little loopy.

"I'm Nos." The whippet said softly, leaning down in close, "Just relax and listen to my voice, inhale my breath, be a good puppy and sleep..."

Trissie whimpered and blacked out, unable to take it anymore.

Nos hummed to himself, grinning, before he noticed the Dalmatian puppy had a collar. He checked it and his eyes widened. He had been about to eat the pup himself, but at this news, he knew he'd better report this. He hefted the puppy, holding him by his neck scruff in his maw, the whippet raced towards Echo's Tower...

**************************

Mael arrived at the border of Echo's lands in time to see a whippet running off with the puppy, towards the interior. "Trissie.... I... I have to tell Pop..." He turned and ran back to the Red City, in hopes of finding the puppy's master.
