Luka-

Ashryn met with her council for two days before finally deciding on a plan of action. Luka stayed away as she did this. Knowing good well her plan would be flawless and hold tight to the way normal Keeps operated. She had other things to worry about alongside freeing his people.

Luka would sit and wait outside her war room daily. Borgan handled the Betas as well as readying the Guru for battle. They had quite a few who were already battled hardened and more than willing to show the newer Guru the ropes. Luka was restless and pent up. He wanted to just run out and save everyone but he knew that would never work. Softly he prayed to their goddess for any help she could give.

The door opened beside him and Ashryn stepped out with Thea beside her.

"There you are."

She smiled seeing him. Her eyes looked tired Luka noticed. He stood and greeted her with a kiss.

"Awaiting."

"Good we are finished. Thea is going to grab your father then we can begin."

Luka nodded watching Thea wander down the hall. Ashryn caught his attention by quickly grabbing his hand.

"Draug...I greatly appreciate your reserve here."

"This is your Keep M'lady."

He smiled to her.

"I know your plan will keep this place in mind as well as freeing my people. I trust you."

"Good. Come on inside."

Luka followed Ashryn inside and settled around the round table with her council. They all murmured between themselves. Luka sat with Ashryn then asked.

"Am I going?"

"Of course. You are the Alpha. You must."

She gave him a kind smile then said.

"Would be rude of me to keep you here while your people run about. I know you haven't stretched your legs in a long time."

She knew him so well. It made his heart sing.

"I am ready."

"We all know that. We trust in you...I trust in you."

Thea returned with Borgan and Luka's Betas in tow. Luka greeted them and then settled to listen to Ashryn. She stood from her chair and started.

"Crystal Keep has gone against our trading agreement and it has been found that Lycans are being held against their will. As well it seems many Keeps in our area have secretly been acquiring Lycans. This Keep stands for equality and will continue to aid those who are lost."

She looked to Luka.

"The council grants free passage to all our Keeps and as many Guru as you need to free everyone you can."

Luka was stunned and his face must have read it. Borgan cleared his throat and it made Luka speak.

"Everyone?"

"Yes, everyone. I want to expand on this Keep's foundation. This is a free area for Lycans and goddess help anyone who thinks differently. All the Keeps Alpha. Can you do this?"

Luka pinned his ears back and let out a growl.

"Yes my Queen."

"Take as many Guru as you need but don't forget to keep these walls safe. You have two months to free as many as you can. After that return here and we will see how well we have done. I don't want senseless violence. If you can convince the Kings to release the Lycans do so."

Ashryn looked over to Borgan who let out a soft growl as she spoke.

"If they refuse, free them by force. I don't want any innocents killed in this only those who try and stop you. Do the both of you understand?"

"Yes M'lady."

Borgan answered with a bow of his head. She turned to Luka who met her eyes.

"Of course M'lady."

"Good. Three days to prepare then take your leave. Any questions?"

"None. Outstanding plan as always."

Borgan assured her. Luka nodded and stood beside her.

"Agreed. I can begin preparations today."

"Alright, everyone is dismissed. Luka-Borgan join me outside."

Luka stood and followed his father out of the room. Ashryn turned to them and sighed softly.

"I will miss you both..."

Borgan smiled at her.

"Fear not, we both will return to you. Could you imagine the beating I would get from Ansel if I did not bring back her pup?"

Luka watched Ashryn smile and laugh.

"True, she is scary when she is mad at you. The night before you and the Guru leave I want to hold a dinner in all the Lycan's honor. Would you spread the word for me Borgan?"

He took a bow and chuckled.

"Of course. I'm off to inform everyone to what is happening."

Luka watched Borgan leave then turned back to Ashryn. She looked better now, not as tired.

"This is a good plan...not what I expected but still."

"I am behind it."

Luka promised moving towards her.

"I am just upset I will be away from you for so long."

Ashryn hugged into his body and kissed his chest.

"Just means I will have to treat you extra special when you return to me."

"I think I can deal with that. I did have a question."

"Anything Draug."

"This dinner you are holding for us.."

Luka let out a deep growl and gently nudged her into a wall.

"We will be expected to stay the whole night or do I get to say good bye to you like a mate should?"

Ashryn bit her lip, her hazy eyes gazing up at him.

"Don't you worry. I will be sure to spend as much time as I can tied to you that night."

"Good."

Ashryn-

The day before the Guru would leave Ashryn was busy with Thea out in the Guru grounds. She was finalizing the health checks for the Lycans Luka had hand-picked to follow him. As the day drew closer and closer to its end Ashryn started feeling more and more nervous. Not quite second guessing herself more fearful Luka would not return to her. She knew he was strong and his will power unmatched but still, she worried.

"M'lady?"

Thea called for a second time. Ashryn blinked at her then sighed heavily.

"Forgive me Thea. My mind is running as fast as sunlight."

"Don't you worry about your strapping King M'lady. He is powerful and an Alpha."

Thea said with a smile.

"Besides I will bless you two tonight and you'll see this will go off without a hitch. This will put your Keep on a global scale. Soon everyone will know there are others who are willing to fight for Lycan's lives. Humans and Elves alike."

"Your blessings are always something I enjoy. Thank you Thea. For a great many things. You have been a part of this Keep for as long as I can remember."

"I remember you running the halls of this castle bare footed and wild. Your father chasing after you with your slippers."

Thea smiled and closed her paws together.

"You're sweet pictures you would send me. You were such a fun child and I never had any of my own so I just doted on you."

"Yes you did."

Ashryn laughed.

"Well I look forward to your blessing tonight."

"Me too."

Ashryn went to find Luka just before their dinner. He was busy with his Betas when she found him. Giving last minute pointers on how to watch over the Keep while he was gone. Such a kind Alpha.

"Draug..."

He turned and smiled when he noticed her.

"Hello M'lady. I was just looking for you."

Ashryn came over and slid her hand into his paw.

"I was doing the same. Are you finished doing your rounds?"

Luka looked to his Betas then said.

"Yes, there isn't anything else I can tell you that you already don't know. Be safe while I am gone."

"Of course Alpha. We all await your return."

Ashryn watched them bow then head off towards the mess-hall. She turned back to Luka and wrapped herself up in his arms. She felt him chuckle and rub her back.

"Almost time for our blessing then we can escape to our room for the rest of the night."

"I cannot wait to be alone with you...I won't get to feel your fur for two months..."

Ashryn's hands gripped his fur tight as she pressed close to him.

"Hear your voice...promise me you will come back to me in one piece."

His furry arms tightened around her as he rumbled with a growl.

"I promise."

Ashryn embraced him for what seemed like hours, until she heard Thea speak behind them.

"You two are so cute together."

She clapped her paws together laughing.

"Goddess must have spent extra time making the two of you. And so in love."

Ashryn felt her cheeks flush as she pulled away from Luka.

"Don't make me all flustered Thea."

"Especially you M'lady. I remember you being this high and now you are off with boys."

"Thea..."

Ashryn sighed. Thea just laughed and came over to them.

"I want you two to know that I pray every single night to the goddess in your honor. I keep her updated on the both of you. I think she'd like to know how her star pupils are getting along down here. Ashryn, you being and heir and all."

"Well I appreciate the report cards."

Ashryn looked to Luka then said.

"You haven't told her I let him kiss me did you?"

Thea roared with laughter with Luka. He rested a paw on her shoulder as she said.

"The goddess is old and we kissed way before we were mates...I want a good report card."

Thea wiped her eyes of tears then came over and hugged Ashryn tightly.

"All my prayers have been to make your life better. In any way possible. Whether it be a rainbow when you are sad, or a clear night to easy your stress. Easy sleep when you are tired."

Ashryn hugged her back and buried her face in the old fur she knew from childhood.

"Having you here makes everything better."

Thea patted her back then moved away.

"Alright enough of this. I'm getting all emotional..."

She wiped her eyes then turned to Luka.

"And as for you, I may not have known you as long as Ashryn but you are just as much in my care as she is. You are something special Luka...goddess has plans for you."

Luka smiled to her and held out his paw.

"Thank you Thea. I look forwards to knowing you as long as Ash does."

"You are welcome. Now, I'm off to gather my things for the blessing. Meet you in the hall in a few moments majesties."

Ashryn watched Thea leave then turned back to Luka. He smiled down at her and put his paws on her hips.

"I love you Ashryn. I will make you proud by the number of Lycans I return to you."

"No, you will make me proud by returning to me. Don't you dare leave me to rule this Keep alone."

"Never. We will rule side by side for the rest of time."

Luka growled.

"I swear it."

"So reassuring Draug."

Ashryn sighed taking his paws.

"Thank you. We do this together, for the betterment of your race."

"Yes...together."

Luka-

Luka felt strangely after Thea's blessing. It was a normal every day goddess blessing of hope but for some reason this one felt different. His blood sang in his veins, his senses seemed to peak higher than usual, and his urge for his mate seemed to stir deeper than usual.

He sat through most of the dinner with Ashryn but grew tired of being around other people quickly. It was unlike him but he just chalked it up to emotions for the day ahead. He retired to their room happily. Ashryn had barely moved into the room when he was on her. Wrapping her up in his arms he growled next to her ear.

"I've been waiting nicely."

"Yes you have."

Ashryn smiled and playfully pulled away from him. She sat on the end of the bed and gazed over at him. Her eyes seemed more wild tonight, a spark that ignited his flame.

"You seem different...are you alright?"

He nodded and came over to stand in front of her.

"I am ready to serve you M'lady."

"I'd rather you be ready for something else right now."

Her words weighted by lust. Her eyes dancing up his body to his. Luka's body ached for her now. He knew his loin cloth was not hiding anything anymore. This strange feeling starting to grow on him, he ran his paw through Ashryn's hair.

"Oh? And what would that be?"

"Breeding with me."

Ashryn lulled her head back with his paw, making his claws tug at her hair.

"I want to be knotted to you all night long Draug. Make me remember you for the entire time you are gone."

Luka purred and moved to run his tongue the length of her open neck.

"I will make you leak until my return just to pump more into you."

Ashryn let out a mournful groan. Her hand moving to beneath his loin cloth to stroke him.

"That sounds wonderful..."

Ashryn pushed away from him and laid out in bed. Luka growled and crawled into bed with her. Letting out one of his best sounding mating calls he watched her entire body shiver. Her mouth parted slightly as he leaned in to kiss her.

"I do feel strangely. In a good way though. Thea must have slipped some aphrodisiac into my drink."

Ashryn giggled wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Good, maybe it will keep us knotted for a longer time."

Luka chuckled and helped her undress beneath him. She made sure to brush against him as her pants came off her body. He let out a groan and leaned in to kiss her harshly. Ashryn responded instantly wrapping his fur in her fingers.

"Let the knot out early I see."

She mumbled against him. Luka slipped his thick tongue into her mouth making her moan his name. He trailed his tongue down her neck to between her breasts. Lapping up her scent like an animal.

"Have to perform at my best tonight."

Ashryn clutched him tightly as his tongue wrapped around her sensitive nipple.

"Make a mess with me tonight Draug. Breed me. Mark my scent with yours."

Luka nipped at her skin moving his paws behind her knees.

"You want to be filled?"

Ashryn groaned as she helped him move her into position.

"Yes, so badly. Call to me again."

Luka dipped into her moist hole effortlessly. His entire body rumbled with a low mating call. Ashryn's body shuttered around him as he sank into her. Luka groaned out another call to her, his knees planted in the bed beneath them.

"This feels different."

Ashryn whispered to him.

"Stronger somehow. Every time you call...I feel it."

Luka rocked in and out of her body, his fur already starting to mat in her juices. Even she felt different tonight, excitingly different.

"Fly with me Ash. We both will remember this night until my return."

Ashryn hugged him tightly as he ran his paw over her body.

"I love you Luka...and before you I hadn't known what love was."

"I love you too Ash. Praise the goddess I found you and can show you what love is."

Ashryn-

The first few weeks with Luka gone was manageable for Ashryn. She tended to the Keep and even opened a few new trade routes with smaller villages. Kiara and Arnold stayed with her most of the time. Helping her mind not wander too much. But by week three Ashryn's heart began to ache. Her bed too large, her nights cold and lonely. Even falling sick for a few days.

Ashryn awoke one morning, her stomach all twisted up, and she called for Thea.

"I swear Luka leaves and everything just falls apart."

Ashryn mumbled. Thea laughed and settled next to her bed.

"Oh hush M'lady. The Keep is doing wonderfully. Now let's tend to you. Not often you are sick."

"Last time was when me and Luka got into your sweet logs before they had fermented enough."

Ashryn replied with a laugh. Thea laid Ashryn back and pulled her shirt up a bit.

"I do remember that. I warned you it would upset stomachs. Now, how are you feeling?"

"Just nauseous and a bit crampy. I wonder if this is what my mother used to speak about. The call of nature she would call it."

Ashryn was sort of looking forward to that when Luka was around. Thea finished her exam then looked to Ashryn. She smiled back at her and asked.

"I swear I did not get into your logs again Thea."

"Ashryn...my dear...you are...pregnant."

Ashryn's jaw dropped and she just stared at Thea. She stared back her own mouth slightly agape.

"And from the looks of it...it's twins..."

"No...no way. We cannot breed and...and even if we could they never...never last long enough to notice..."

"Ashryn...I've been doing this for eons..."

Thea gently laid her paw over Ashryn's flat stomach and gave her a warm smile.

"You are going to be the proud mother of twins..."

Ashryn shook her head and sat right up in bed.

"No, we can't breed. Don't get my hopes up like this Thea. If I am I will lose them like others have lost Halflings before."

"Ash...Ash..."

Thea called her name softly and Ashryn met her eyes. She smiled again and moved to hold her hand.

"You are past the void stage already. There are two tiny little heart beats inside you and would I ever tease you like this?"

Ashryn let her tears fall as she moved to hug Thea.

"Stop...this is not funny."

"No it is not."

Thea laughed holding her tightly.

"Twins, my-my Ashryn...I would have never thought I would live to see your children."

Ashryn sobbed into Thea's fur, her hand mindlessly moving to her stomach. Pregnant...with Luka's babies...this was a dream. It must be. She had prayed for this day once or twice in their time together. Never had she thought this would ever happen.

"Oh Thea...I just can't believe this. How?"

"I may have prayed extra hard for you recently."

Thea replied moving to gaze at her.

"And my blessing before Luka's departure may have had something to do with it."

"Thea!"

Ashryn cried but smiled at her.

"Did you try and get me pregnant?!"

"Not with any ill intent mind you. I didn't think it would work."

Thea laughed and picked up her bag.

"Here. These are herbs that will help curb the nausea and soreness. Take them whenever it gets to be too much. Drink lots of water and rest. No more sparring with the Guru."

"How long?"

"Well..."

Thea handed over the herbs then settled back into her seat.

"I don't know much about Elf and Lycan offspring. Only lore told by my Elders. I go off Lycan offspring mostly. Two months of gestation then birth. I'm told Lycan birth is a breeze because of the healing powers they have. At most an hour of labor then you have this little puppy...or puppies in your case I'm guessing."

Ashryn suddenly felt nervous and touched her stomach again.

"Are...are they okay?"

"Everything feels normal to me, and I have overseen many Lycan births."

"This is real...isn't it?"

"Goddess be praised, yes it is."

Thea gave her another warm smile and then said.

"They should be here just around the same time Luka returns. Boy are you going to have such a surprise for him."

Ashryn laughed tears welling in her eyes again.

"Oh goddess...he doesn't know. What if he..."

"Don't you start that."

Thea scolded her.

"Luka will make it back and see his children and you are going to have to make him suffer for missing the entire process. He is up all night with them, not you."

Ashryn laughed again wiping her eyes.

"Yes, you are right. Oh Thea...I am so glad you are here with me through this. I do not know what I would do without you."

"I am glad as well. Seeing you patter along these halls was wonderful. Being able to watch your babies do the same is joyous."

Ashryn was completely beside herself. Praying nightly to thank her goddess for this gift she felt amazing. As each day went by she knew Thea's words were true. Her belly soon showed a little bump and the smallest movements she could feel if she laid still just right. Thea told her they would grow fast but within two weeks she looked like a six month pregnant Elf. Everyone within her Keep applauded her and sent gifts to the castle for her babies. Ansel stopped by daily to help Ashryn with anything she needed. Bending had become difficult as well as cleaning so Ashryn appreciated the help. Thea gave her every single baby toy she had left over from the school as well as a larger crib donated to the school specifically for twins.

Ashryn busied herself making up a corner of their room for her babies. The crib laid beneath a hand painted mobile. Each moon phase was lit up with shiny paper and crinkled when you touched it. Ashryn carefully under the watchful eye of Ansel set up blankets and soft toys for their first night in their own crib. For a month they would be at Ashryn's side, then after weening they were able to sleep alone.

Ashryn just finished lying out blankets when Ansel came over to her side.

"How do you feel darling?"

Ashryn smiled and looked to her.

"Good today. Yesterday I was so sore."

"That's great to hear. Little ones quiet?"

"For now."

Ashryn petted her growing belly and gazed down.

"I'm sure they will wake soon and dance all across my bladder."

Ansel laughed and patted her back.

"I hear that. Luka must have hugged mine when I was carrying him. I was peeing every ten minutes it felt like. I'm going to make us some tea. Why don't you sit and relax for a while."

Ashryn nodded and went to settle at her window. She gazed out over her lands and felt a slight ping of loneliness. Her fingers danced over her stomach as she let out of a soft sigh. She missed her Lycan horribly. It had been a month and a half already and the amount of Lycans that flooded her gates had jumped way up. Knowing her Draug was at least partly successful made her feel better but under that was the loneliness. Some nights she would lay in bed and rub her belly happy as could be. Telling stories of her prideful mate. Others, she would clutch her stomach and hopelessly sob into her pillow. Praying to the goddess her mate comes home safe and sound to see what they had made together.

"Ash?"

She looked up as Ansel came over with her tea.

"Talk to me hon."

"I just miss him."

Ashryn sighed taking her cup.

"I know it's for the greater good but I cannot help but be selfish and want him all to myself."

Ansel sat beside her and smiled.

"He will return and he will be so happy to see what you two have made together."

Ashryn looked down to her growing stomach and smiled.

"Twins...what a surprise...I never dreamed this could happen. Thank the goddess."

"I'm excited for grandpups."

Ansel said smartly with a laugh.

"Luka's puppyhood was such a long time ago and I miss it."

"Why don't you and Borgan breed again?"

Ashryn asked. She gave a soft sigh then replied.

"He was hurt right after we had Luka and his sister. Our owners castrated him so he can't sire children."

She gave a soft snort into her cup then laughed.

"He still likes to try like we can breed but it's useless. Even more so then you and Luka, or so we thought. But anyways Luka and Lydia were my only two children and they both are perfect in my eyes."

"I don't hear you speak of her often...or of your time before here."

Ansel rubbed her cup between her paws nervously. He eyes turning to gaze out the window.

"It...it was a difficult time. My poor Lydia was taken from us then me and Borgan were separated for a time. Our owners sold me off once Lydia died. I was just too upset to be of any use."

Ashryn reached out and squeezed her knee.

"I'm sorry..."

Ansel shook her head then gave her a smile.

"It's alright. I found my mate and came here then soon my son found us. And now after finding my family...it grows to include you and your pups. Our lives were very different a few years ago but I would do anything to be where I am today."

Ashryn gave a small laugh.

"With an overly emotional Elf?"

Ansel smiled and touched Ashryn's face.

"With my son's life mate and mother of my grandbabies."

"Thank you Ansel..."

"You're welcome hon."

Ashryn's time drew closer and closer and the weight of Luka's absence was heavy on her soul. Thea had told her to expect them any day for the last week now. The two babies growing inside her were heavy now and rambunctious. Absolutely took after their father. She laid in bed one morning gazing longingly out the window while Thea gave her a check over.

"Have you given any thoughts to names?"

Thea asked after a few moments of silence. Ashryn sighed as she shook her head slowly.

"I want Luka to help me."

"Alright dear. How about genders? Any guesses?"

"One of each. Seems his family is prone to that."

"Wonderful. One to be an Alpha and one to be of royalty."

Thea said with a smile. Ashryn looked to her and watched her smile fade.

"Oh Ash...it won't be long now. He is due back any day now. Just like you are. Excited yet?"

"What if they are all I have left of him...?"

Ashryn held back her tears covering her face in her hands.

"What if he's lying somewhere in a ditch utterly destroyed whispering my name on his last breath?"

"Ashryn! Enough."

Thea snapped. Ashryn stopped short and stared over at her. Thea let out a soft but oddly kind growl and then said.

"All this what if thinking is bad for those babies. You have seen how many Lycans have shown up since he left. It is obvious he is doing his job and saving his people."

Ashryn lifted her shirt and ran her nails down her large belly. Deep inside she could feel them both wriggling around, happy as could be. It made her smile, if her babies were this strong, their father must be as well.

"I just miss him so much."

Thea sighed and stood to make tea.

"I know...as do I."

Ashryn sat with Thea and drank tea for a while. Going over everything she needed to do for the millionth time. Ashryn knew more about the Lycan birthing process now than she ever did in all her years on this planet.

Slipping into sleep she was shaken awake by a knock at the door. Thea instantly stood and Ashryn watched her grow protective.

"Who is it?"

The door opened slowly and Ashryn almost cried. Borgan stood there with Ansel at his side. He smiled when he saw her and said.

"So it is true."

"Oh Borgan! I am so glad you've returned! Are you hurt?"

He came over and sat gently down on the edge of her bed.

"Few cuts and bruises but I am fine. Looks like you've put on a bit of weight..."

Ashryn blushed as she pushed herself up to sit, with some good effort.

"Ass...did you just get back?"

"Yes, I was in charge of the front most travel party. Luka is a mere hour behind me."

Borgan reached out slowly and held her hand.

"Kiara told me when I arrived to come straight to your side. I see why now."

Ansel smiled and nudged him.

"Come now, let her rest. Luka will keep her up for hours once he's back."

Borgan leaned over and gently kissed Ashryn's forehead.

"Peace to you little one."

Thea showed them out and Ashryn laid in bed awaiting her Lycan's return. Happy once again.

Ashryn slipped in and out of sleep. She was worn out now and felt heavy. She jumped awake when she heard the door open. Sitting up with a grunt she called.

"Draug?"

Luka came into the room and lit up her world with his handsome smile.

"Ash..."

She hopped out of bed and watched his face fall. She smiled and raised her shirt.

"Surprise Draug..."

"Ash..."

He came over and touched her belly. As soon as his fur touched her skin she sighed out a breath of relief. He was home...

"I...I don't know what to say."

He stared at her, utterly lost. Ashryn smiled and moved into his arms.

"How about hello, I've missed you."

He seemed to hug her more gently now, accommodating for her belly.

"I've missed you..."

"I've missed you too...were you successful?"

"Yes."

He pulled away but stood closer to her, his big paw resting on her stomach.

"More than half just gave up my people. Once they saw the small army I had it was not a difficult choice. Four times we had to use force and it only took hand to hand to make them change their minds."

"That's wonderful Luka! And you should see our numbers now. Well into the hundreds!"

Ashryn squeaked with excitement and held his paw.

"So many families brought back together. I knew this plan would work."

"I never doubted you M'lady."

Luka rumbled, his soft muzzle pushing into her neck. Ashryn smiled and let her eyes close.

"Goddess I've missed you so. You can ask the burning question now."

"How did this happen?"

She laughed and pushed away from him.

"I asked you to breed me and you did."

Luka studied her, still confused.

"But...we...we cannot breed. And that was not the first time I had locked with you."

Ashryn ran her hands over her stomach and smiled over at him.

"The goddess has blessed us...thanks a lot to Thea I believe. Twins Luka. We are having twins."

He was still stunned as he stepped closer to feel her. His big paw felt wonderful on her belly. So soothing. She sighed heavily running her hand through his fur.

"I think this is a one-time thing so don't worry. We can lock together again after this."

Luka's head nudged closer to her letting out a soft whimper.

"I love you Ash...I could not be more happy. We are going to bring beautiful puppies into this world."

Ashryn moved into his arms and made him pick her up.

"Yes but until then you have some comforting to make up. I suffered two months with these wriggling beasts inside me and you have not been here to fetch me tea or pick up the thing I drop on the floor for the sixth time in one day."

Luka chuckled and held her against his chest.

"I am ready and willing to do anything you want or desire M'lady."

"I desire to lay with you and let you feel our little ones kick and fuss."

"That is easily done. Have you thought of names?"

"No Draug."

She smiled at him and touched his muzzle.

"I wanted to wait for you. It killed me to set up the crib without you but Ansel made me. Now that you are home you are not allowed to leave again for a while."

"Deal."

Luka awoke the next morning to Ashryn cuddling up to his side. He could feel her well rounded belly press into him. He smiled and turned into her. He had missed sleeping beside her so much.

"Good morning M'lady."

She moved his paw to her stomach then kissed his nose.

"Morning Draug. I don't like how big this bed is without you beside me."

Luka smiled and opened his eyes to gaze upon her. She looked beautiful in the morning light. His black paw looked humorous over her expanded belly. He felt small movements within her and his smile grew. Never thinking he would ever sire children this feeling was beyond him. Ashryn stretched out her limbs then settled her hand on his face to rub his jowls.

"I missed you so much. I am ready to get our life back on track, enough of this crap."

"Back on track? M'lady our lives are about to be thrown off track but I have never been so excited."

He watched her smile and her beautiful green eyes sparkled up at him.

"Me too. When Thea told me...I nearly lost it. I thought I was sick. Surprise."

Luka caressed her face, leaning in to gently kiss her.

"Wonderful surprise. I did feel different the night I left. I think I may have known."

"Thea helped. We must name her godmother. I feel the goddess would strike us down if not."

Luka laughed and nuzzled closer to her.

"Of course. She will help shape them like she shaped you."

Ashryn let out a laugh into his chest and said.

"Hopefully they turn out more like me. We both know you have issues."

Luka pulled away to smile at her.

"You take care of me well."

"I do. I think I can handle your spawn just as well."

She stretched again then moved to sit up. Luka smiled watching her struggle a bit.

"You look good heavy with pups."

Ashryn's cheeks turned red which just made him smile more.

"Shame we didn't have this happen during my mating season. Our pups will be a bit late."

"Makes sense. Like you said, this world will struggle to contain our babies."

Ashryn said with a smile. Luka ran his paw down her belly, gazing at her. She looked just so beautiful and so perfect weighed down with his children.

Ashryn rolled her eyes laying back into the pillows. Luka chuckled and leaned over pecked her cheek.

"I just worry. You know me by now. Although since you said it is fine, lay still my Queen. I will ease this ache for you."

Ashryn's sly smile crossed her face as he moved to lay between her thighs.

"Thea says it is good for me. Helps move things along and I cannot wait till they are here. I am tired of being this big. I miss sparring with my Guru, I miss walking like a normal person, but most of all I miss riding you."

Luka laughed and gazing lovingly up to her.

"You make my heart sing Ash. I love you so much, and don't worry after our pups are here we can go back to our normal. For now we can do what we can."

The day finally came for Ashryn to give birth to her babies. Thea and Ansel sat by her side for the whole forty five minutes it took to deliver. Ashryn was in shock how easy it was. Hearing horror stories her whole life about how bad giving birth was or how people had almost died from it. She counted her blessings and gave birth to two beautiful puppies. Lycan babies were born like this and grew into their human forms later in life. One boy and one girl. Ashryn was overjoyed. The boy was all black and the girl a pure white. Such tiny little things it was hard to imagine how she was so big at one point. Thea blessed the children then ushered Ansel out to leave the new family be.

Ashryn laid in bed with her babies curled up beside her. Luka stood a few feet away just watching. She smiled over at him and patted the bed beside her.

"Come see your pups Draug...it's alright."

He looked nervous but came over and settled beside her.

"T-they are so small..."

"I know!"

Ashryn laughed and gently petted her babies.

"Hard to believe I was so big. We need to name them."

"A future Alpha and a Queen."

Luka mused staring down at them.

"My son..."

Ashryn leaned over and kissed his muzzle.

"My daughter."

"That is fair."

He chuckled. Ashryn picked up the tiny black boy and pulled Luka's paw out.

"Name him."

Luka looked worried as he cupped his big paws around the tiny puppy.

"Ash...I...I don't."

"Relax. I know animal side and all that. Just trust me and follow your mate's lead."

He relaxed and pulled his son to his chest. Ashryn picked up her daughter and kissed her soft tiny belly.

"Oh you are adorable. We did great work Draug."

Luka nodded and smiled at her.

"Yes we did. Heir to my Alpha position and a future ruler of this Keep. Their names must be something of legend."

"Her name is Lyra. Future Queen of Lyonhall Keep."

Ashryn held up her baby and let Luka kiss her tiny head.

"Hello Lyra."

"What about him?"

Luka looked back down. The tiny black pup laid curled up to his furry chest. Sleeping peacefully. She watched him give a small laugh then say.

"His name is Alduin. Future Alpha of all the Lycans in Lyonhall Keep."

"Good choice Draug. You look wonderful with a pup in your arms."

He reached out slowly and asked.

"Can I hold her too?"

Ashryn smiled and happily handed over his daughter.

"You don't have to ask me. They are just as much yours as mine. We made them together."

Luka cradled the tiny pups against him as he moved to sit closer to her. Ashryn petted his fur as he sniffed them both.

"I love you Luka...and now I know for sure what true love is."

His beautiful golden eyes rose to meet hers and he smiled his wonderful smile. Teeth and all.

"I love you too Ash and I will continue to for the rest of time."

It had been a week now since Luka had met his children for the first time. Thea gave them both a clean bill of health and were actually a bit heavy for their ages. Gaining more and more weight every day within three weeks their eyes had opened. Ashryn bawled her eyes out when it finally happened. As the pups grew it was more and more clear that they were half Elf. Their ears longer than normal Lycans and both of them were green eyed, just like Ashryn.

Borgan and Luka built another room onto their master bedroom to use and nursey until the pups were old enough for their own rooms. Ashryn was grateful, trying to tame a horny Lycan was difficult with pups crying out at all hours of the night.

A final count of all the new Lycans had arrived and Ashryn was busy setting logs and writing history with the council. While she attended to the Keep Luka would care for and cradle the pups. He adored his children and loved being the one they clung to. Now that their eyes were open they were much more adventurous. Crawling all over Luka's shoulders and head he was in love. Completely toned out on what Ashryn was doing he played with them.

"Luka?"

He snapped back to life and looked over to Ashryn.

"Lyra made me do it. She started it."

Ashryn smiled at him then said.

"You have a good point. She is quiet a firecracker, but I need your attention for a few moments."

Luka finished up with Ashryn about an hour later. The pups asleep in his arms he followed her towards their bedroom. Luka nudged his snout into Ashryn's neck making her squeal and jump away.

"Luka! You know I hate that!"

He chuckled and kissed her cheek.

"Yes I know. Just wanted to hear you squeal."

Ashryn rolled her eyes and pushed their door open.

"Put the pups down before you go getting all growly."

Luka went into the nursery and tucked the pups into their crib. He kissed them each on their heads then slowly exited the room. As he clicked the door shut he heard Ashryn flop into bed.

"So how are our numbers doing?"

He turned and found her stark naked laid out on the bed. She gave him a sly smile then said.

"Good but I am not interested in talking about that now."

He watched as she braced her heels on the edge of the bed, bearing all for him to see.

"I am more interested in you."

Luka let out a soft growl and pulled his loin cloth off.

"Oh? What brought this on?"

Ashryn ran her fingers between her folds staring him in the eyes.

"Seeing you carry our pups. Nothing is more attractive than a man caring for his young."

Luka joked with a smile. Ashryn laughed and turned to crawl into bed.

"No, not at all. You feel strange?"

She knelt up in bed and smiled over at him.

"The pups will be asleep for a while and you aren't due out to the Guru grounds until after lunch. Why don't you come over here and let me ride you until you knot me?"

Luka's tongue lapped out of his teeth as he crawled into bed with her.

"I have missed that..."

She pushed him down to his back and landed atop his body. A wild look in her eyes.
