Unnerve didn't speak for a moment and walked over to the window and looked overhead at the city, remembering what had happened years ago.

Giving a big sigh, Unnerve began to recount the story of how it all started.

"The suspect is a zoroark, I repeat, a zoroark, do not take chances and chase down anybody escaping the scene" Radio dispatch told them.

"He's currently not transformed, the owner claims he had just hit the zoroark with a move and broke his illusion. The zoroark seems to be having trouble with the backdoor so you may be able to catch him, just be wary if you see a different pokemorph, they may have transformed into something else entirely" Radio dispatch warned him.

"I copy, don't let anybody in the vicinity escape, got it" Unnerve said as he and Kai parked near the convenience store and got out of the car, ready to deal with the robber.

"Alright Unnerve, go check on the alley beside the convenience store, we can't afford to let this scum get away. I'll check the back of the store and try to corner him while I can, while you try to find the backdoor of the store and prevent his escape, do you understand?" Chief Kai asked him.

"I copy, going now" Unnerve ran to the side while Kai went to the front door of the store.

"... That's something I'm not comfortable telling you. What you do need to know is that the Illusionist needs to be captured, and that is the only way that justice will ever prevail in my eyes. It's what chief Kai would have wanted" Unnerve told him.

"... The hungry zoroark who stole the soup, are he and the illusionist one and the same?" Gabu asked him.

Unnerve grew even angrier, going towards Gabu's desk and slamming his fists on it, causing Gabu to get startled even more.

"It was a mistake, a mistake to even show any kind of weakness to that... That villain... And he fucking took advantage of me for it. I never felt so betrayed, and I promised myself I won't ever trust any kind of criminal no matter the offense! And that includes anyone who conspires with them! I will hunt down every last criminal if it's the last thing I do! Especially that zoroark! I will right the wrong I've done in the past!" Unnerve yelled at Gabu, venting to him about everything that happened in his past.

Gabu was a bit frightened, he had never seen Unnerve this angry in all his time being his partner.

Gabu nods in agreement, not wanting to start a fight with him.

"Maybe we should hold off on talking about the Illusionist for now, we should be directing our energy to finding him" Gabu suggested to Unnerve.

This seemed to satisfy the chief, and went back to his desk, looking at the monitors again and checking to see if any of the other officers were acting suspicious.

Gabu would occasionally look at Unnerve slyly but the chief would always look serious the whole time, not changing his expression.

Gabu fumbled for the piece of paper on his desk, but decided to put it back inside his pockets, not wanting Unnerve to see it and know where Vern was hiding in.

So instead, Gabu opened his drawer, looked at the picture of both of him and Vern, before smiling and continuing to work.

SnipeS, Kain,Nocturne, and Vern had listened in on the whole conversation and were discussing what to do next.

"Yeah, he might just be waiting until he knows where Nocturne is so he could tell Unnerve and arrest him?" SnipeS asked Vern.

"... I don't know, but I'll try my best to turn him to our side in time" Vern said, who was unsure about this.

"Maybe we should tie him up after we get him all alone then?" Kain suggested.

"No, we can't risk losing his trust. You two will try to be quiet, only Vern can interfere when I meet him. We can't risk losing his trust, and Vern here is going to help me with that. We can't risk Gabu feeling antagonized upon knowing you two are with us, you will show up when Gabu has changed his mind about helping Unnerve" Nocturne ordered them.

The three nodded, and headed to the coordinates where they promised to meet with Gabu, uncertain if he will go to the designated meeting place or not.

Night had come as Gabu stared at the night sky, looking up at the stars and thinking whether or not Vern was staring at them too. He sighed and thought he should pack things up, he'll find out soon enough after he meets Vern tonight and finally understand what the Illusionist's intentions were.

As he picked his things up from his desk, he looked at Unnerve who was still staring at the monitors, he hadn't moved since he first looked at the camera after Unnerve told him his story.

"Unnerve, aren't you going to rest? You're going to lose your vision if you don't stop looking at those cameras" Gabu warned him, Unnerve's eyes seem tired, but carried hatred within them from what Gabu could see.

"It's my job to make sure everyone is doing theirs, you have a problem with that?" Unnerve asked him.

Gabu sighed, knowing there was no arguing with him about this.

"No I don't. I'll be going back home now. I'll see you tomorrow, I'll be needing some rest" Gabu said, leaving Unnerve in the room, who didn't so much as glance at Gabu when he left but responded with a grunt as he took his leave.

As Gabu got inside the car, he immediately took the piece of paper that Vern had given him earlier and followed the coordinates to the location.

Gabu had doubts about that and looked at the two, trying to theorize if they were somehow brainwashed by him.

"This is true? No lies at all?" Gabu asked them.

"Yes, we weren't forced to, he gave us a choice instead. I thought Kain had been captured, so when I came to rescue him, it turned out Kain was fine. Nocturne then gave me a choice whether I should stay or not, and I chose it after he convinced me to join him" SnipeS told Gabu.

This was unlike the SnipeS he knew, under normal circumstances he would never join a villain like him.

"And why would you two join him?" Gabu asked them, finding it hard to believe and wanting to know the reason.

"Because Nocturne would give me and SnipeS the kind of society we want, one where we weren't shunned for our own sexuality. The police would be getting in our way if we were going to change what was and isn't normal, so we're going to take them down if we want to live in a perfect world just like Nocturne promised us. "I was sent there to look at the layout of the station because we're going to raid the police station soon. I looked for any weaknesses and precautions that we could exploit, needless to say that we now know the station top to bottom. As for your office, I bugged both you and Unnerve's desks, along with the phones you carry" SnipeS revealed to Gabu.

With this revelation, Gabu turned to Nocturne, his emotions were a mess, they were a mixture of rage, stupidity, and confusion.
