1st story
Dancing at a rave, he looks up and sees a vixen. She is stunningly beautiful with large fennec
ears pierced delicately with purple and black studs that contrast the red fur.
Her muzzle is delicately shaped and a cunning smile plays across it as she looks back at him. Immediately
he blushes furiously against his orange fur and looks down panicking. He tries to concentrate on the
music again, looking down at his paws and concentrating on swishing his long tail. Not lasciviously mind
you, just for balance as he hops and prances to the rhythm, concentrating on the next moment break.
Steadily feeling more comfortable he glances off in the previous direction but she's disappeared.
Somewhere between the light and shadows he imagines seeing her shape against the smoke and
mirrors.
Watching the silhouette with curious intensity as it mirrors her movements against the darkness to his
own energetic vulpine cadence against the light.
He is reticent and reclusive but with a certain pride that only comes from years of feeling so very
isolated from; that he has come to imagine himself as a unicorn amongst daft equines. Or perhaps more
fittingly; a Kitsune amongst foxes. So wise that he has grown foolish, so untouched...
A paw taps him on the shoulder and he lets out a most unkitsune-like yelp, spinning around to see the
young vixen.
She is gazing at him with the most curious of intensities, but with the same playful smile across
her furred muzzle.
Shiloh found himself pondering curiously how some females were able to make innocence appear so
menacing when at last she spoke
"I'm Ti'anna" she announced elegantly, smoothing down her dress and tail in a fastidious
manner; almost cat-like.
Shiloh offering a paw pondered for a moment how beautiful she was; also making an enormous effort
not to dwell on how much of what had been initially most attractive about her was having been
shrouded in mystery.
"Certainty doesn't always have to be so drearily unromantic" she stated equivocally pinning her
ears back and narrowing her eyes at him.
What??
His pupils widened and his fur insentiently bristled. Had she read his mind?!? He stared agape and
closing his eyes tried to shake himself out of it. When they had reopened and he'd forced himself to
meet her gaze she was smiling again, if a bit more toothily now. She grabbed his paw.
"Dance with me!" She caracoled swaying against him
Gulping he followed suit, swishing his tail kinetically as he leaped into the moment at least superficially;
his thoughts still ambling on catching up
What just happened? he thought to himself, feeling her lissome form swirl and escape from
his paw in a graceful back-and-forth.
Foxes_He respired to himself. _As if there even was such a thing as a lack of feminine
mystique, and as if foxes weren't the most feminine of all species... he knew right then; with a peculiar
certainty that he would never quite understand and found an unusual comfort in it.
He smiled and caught her eye as he melted into ritual and tried to push back his fear only to feel it
throbbing in his cognizance; black then brightness, sharp like a severed finger.
Let it out like a fever He swayed against her; fluctuating and burning his fur. Matching her
steps swishing pressing his sleek pelt up against hers, two strangers in the streaming lights, two prospective lovers as
they tenderly caressed in the dark. He sank into the moment with a softened whimper; luxuriating in the
starlight bathed against their Hi-Rez fur.
The obliterating crescendo as the moon's gravity burst their every particle; crushing them back into
stardust.
