Give a Man a Fish Sandwich

Pure, golden afternoon sunlight flooded across the city. It was a warm, cozy, sleepy sort of day. The tightly packed buildings all had their HVAC systems working in full force. Trains rattled and chattered along their tracks but the streets were largely empty with no one wanting to go out in the heat. Cicadas chirped and buzzed in their steady, never-ending song. Everything seemed to glitter and shine in the bright haze. It was the perfect day to take the scenic route.

Worn rubber tread gripped the gritty slabs of cement leading away from the heart of the city, taking the meandering path along the tributaries and canals, dotted by cement structures that controlled the aqueduct flood gates. Rhys had taken off his jacket and tied it around his waist and his dark gray tanktop did nothing to hide his well tanned shoulders and bare arms covered with constellations of dark freckles. They peeked out from the holes in the knees of his pants and speckled their way up across his neck, cheeks and nose. His rusty reddish brown hair was pulled back into a short ponytail, matching the red glass pendant hanging from a cord around his neck.

There had been a time when Rhys had been embarrassed by his freckles, but he'd come to embrace what made him different. There was no mistaking him for anyone else, after all. Still, there was something relaxing about being away from the center of town, taking his time getting back. Friday was over, summer was approaching, and it felt like he had all the time in the world. Rhys's backpack was hanging a little heavy on his back. In addition to his textbooks, he'd stopped at a fast food place on the way home, stocking up on some junk food to embrace the weekend in style.

While the young man usually didn't mind the heat, he looked down the path at the shadow of a footbridge running over the canal with a bit of relief. As Rhys stepped out of the light, he could feel the temperature drop several degrees. His freckled skin was nearly glowing with the warmth. A small smile crossed the young man's grin as he recalled his parents warning him not to go out in the sun because it would only make his freckles darker. Somehow the fact that it was taboo only made him want it all the more.

In that moment, something slithered through the humid summer air until it reached Rhys' ears: a small, dry sound, like the rustling of dead leaves, apparently coming from under the bridge. "P-please..." the weak, low whisper begged. "Help..." Rhys froze for a moment, eyes widening. Fight, flight and panic bubbled up inside of him as he tried to grasp what was going on. Going from feeling alone to being confronted with someone in crisis was jarring to say the least, but eventually his eyes narrowed in on the source of the voice.

Someone was, indeed, lying on the ground, immobile except for his lips, mouthing words amid a short but impossibly bushy and dense beard that looked like it had carefully been bleached blonde. Despite his facial hair, the man under the bridge had a somewhat boyish, cute quality in his face, even if his eyes were shut in a pained expression. His skin was a smooth, pleasant shade of brown, his scruffy dark hair had frosted tips, and his body - only covered in a skimpy sleeveless shirt and a pair of board shorts with a faded floral print - looked firm and toned. He was barefoot, and he was wearing an seashell anklet on his right leg. "S-someone..." he managed to murmur again.

"H-h-here, I've got some water, and, um, food!" Rhys said, moving over to crouch down next to the stranger. He swung his bag around and lifted open the flap, digging around until he pulled out the cold bottle of sprite, "And some soda?" he offered. Seeing the state he was in, though, Rhys elected to crack open the seal on the bottle of water and bring it to his beard rimmed lips. Rhys blushed a bit, looking at him. It was sad that anyone was in that shape, but even with his parched, dried out lips, this guy was a bit of a hunk... He had a sort of surfer's build with a beard worthy of Aquaman. His eyes still closed, the young Pacific Islander stud slowly drank the water offered to him by the selfless stranger, feeling his throat becoming less parched, and a modicum of energy flowing through his body as the cool liquid cascaded down to his stomach.

"T-thanks..." he managed to murmur, his breathing now more regular. He was wearing a very simple necklace, nothing more than a string of what looked like leather holding a big, colorful shell shaped like a scallop.

"I've got something to eat too, you look hungry." Rhys said, digging into his backpack. With a little bit more searching, he withdrew a paper wrapped parcel. He unfolded the edges back, revealing a shiny, glistening buttered brioche bun resting atop a hot, freshly fried square of pollock fish, a few spare dollops of trademarked, secretly spiced tartar sauce oozed out across the melty cheddar cheese. Even in the heat of the day, the smell was still rich, savory and fresh as it wafted over to the stranger's nose. Rhys extended it as an offering, holding it out.

Suddenly, the stranger's eyelids snapped open, revealing a pair of irises of a blue so deep and intense they almost looked like indigo. His large nostrils widened even more as he sniffed the air, not unlike a big dog looking for a treat.

"Fish..." he murmured, entranced, his eyes zeroing in on the sandwich. "P-please...?" he managed to ask, even though it was clear he was barely restraining himself. Rhys looked a bit confused given that he was already offering it, but he could hardly blame someone so clearly out of it. He nodded eagerly, extending the fish sandwich even further.

"It's yours, please eat!" Rhys said, hoping to be more clear. He hadn't even finished uttering the last syllable before a powerful hand snatched the sandwich out of his grasp. The stranger devoured the sandwich in a matter of seconds, brioche, fish and everything else. Some dollops of tartar sauce were left trapped in his thick beard, but a thick tongue emerged from his dry lips and quickly finished the job, before he let out a satisfied belch. His dark blue eyes were suddenly filled with tears.

"Best thing... I have ever eaten..." he murmured, sniffling and sobbing. Seeing how ravenously the stranger had gobbled it down had been inspiring enough, but his reaction moved Rhys even more. He anxiously dug into his pack and withdrew the other sandwich.

"Here, have another one. You seem hungry." Rhys coaxed, unwrapping the paper covering to reveal another shimmering, deliciously buttered bun. The stranger's eyes widened in desire, but he pressed a hand over his mouth and feebly shook his head.

"No. For you. Your food," he replied through his fingers, his indigo irises looking straight into Rhys' eyes. Rhys' eyes looked strained even though his lips were in a polite smile.

"I don't mind sharing, it's the right thing to do..." Rhys said, too ashamed to admit he found it oddly cute to watch this young man eat. The stranger nodded, slowly grabbing the second sandwich with cautious fingers.

"Thanks," he said in a solemn tone, before wolfing down the bun with the same voraciousness he had displayed a couple moments prior. He clearly had more energy now, because he managed to get himself up from the ground and sit. "You... saved me," he murmured, his fingers now wrapping around Rhys' hand. "I want to... repay you," he added before nodding.

"It's okay, I mean, I had extra, and it was just the right thing to do. I'm glad you're okay." Rhys smiled, blushing more as he felt the man's hand on his. Even after recovering from heat stroke or whatever was afflicting him, his grip was pretty strong. Rhys could only imagine what he'd be able to do at full strength. The stranger pressed his free hand on his chest, right above his shellfish pendant.

"Kaipo," he simply said with a cute smile. His canines looked microscopically longer than those of the average human, but still longer enough to be noticeable. "You?"

"Rhys. Nice to meet you, Kaipo." he said, offering his hand for a good classic shake. Kaipo, however, did something unexpected: with his firm grip, he pulled the younger, smaller boy towards him, wrapping him in a firm embrace, gently squeezing his body against his own prominent pecs.

"Rhys... good name," Kaipo said with a cheeky grin. "I like you, Rhys. You smell nice..."

"Hopefully better than sun-baked fish." he chuckled, though he looked a little more serious after a moment, "Are you out here all alone?" he asked, turning. There were no easy stairs back up to the main level, nor any roads nearby. It wasn't the sort of place he could call a taxi to. It seemed like Kaipo's only way out would be with Rhys. Kaipo nodded, his lips pursed; he looked sad - to an uncomfortable degree - all of a sudden.

"Y... yeah..." he whispered. "I am... alone. No family. No friends. Just me." Rhys looked a bit sad before he forced a smile.

"You want to come home with me? We could get you a shower or a bath, you could take a nap?" Rhys offered. He'd always been raised to do the right thing, even if it meant sacrifice... although he'd be lying if he didn't think Kaipo was cute. He had the perfect blend of boyish good looks and manly scruff. The hunky young man cocked his head, a quizzical look on his face.

"Bath?" he replied. "Together?" His tone was innocent, but he still had to let Rhys go from his embrace.

"T-Together?" Rhys asked with surprise, not sure what Kaipo had meant. Kaipo nodded again at that.

"If you like," he added, before letting go of him and getting back on his feet. He was covered in dirt and dust and his shorts were pretty grimy: he was in a dire need for a bath, for sure. "Taking baths together is good. Relaxing. Helps you create a bond."

"A bond..." Rhys whispered, looking the scruffy surfer up and down, "I'd like to... create a bond." he admitted with a blush, feeling a stirring in his underpants. Without saying anything, Kaipo unwrapped the leather string holding his pendant and fastened it around Rhys' neck, before smiling at him.

"Here. A bond, from me to you," he explained succinctly. He clearly was a man of few words. "Together?" he asked, once again. Rhys grinned at that and pulled off the red glass pendant from his own neck, slipping it on around Kaipo's neck, letting the shining shard glisten between the stranger's pectorals.

"Together." Rhys said with an odd, powerful flutter of joy in his heart.

Rhys leaned over, grasping the crystal-like geometric plastic gem that controlled the bath, tilting it up and to the left to turn it on and hot. The sound of the water rushing through the pipes in the wall was somewhat loud, but the comforting cascade of water erupting from the spigot and hitting the ceramic tub filled the bathroom. Rhys made sure it was coming out at an appropriate temperature before he padded across the green and white tiled floor, stepping back onto the hard wood floors of the living room.

The house was quiet and still, as it often was. Rhys typically had the place to himself; not just during the day while his father was at work, but oftentimes overnight as well. It was amazing how many corporate fires had to be put out with an in-person visit despite the age of internet and teleconferencing. Still, all of that abandonment somehow seemed to be shed in a different light as Rhys stood there, looking at the scruffy surfer he'd scooped up under a bridge and brought home on a whim...

Kaipo was standing in the middle of the living room, right next to Rhys's father's favorite armchair, looking at the sleeveless shirt in his hands that he had clearly just taken off, a somewhat confused stare in his blue eyes. The red glass pendant he had received from the younger boy rested comfortably in the deep crevice between his two round, toned pecs, generously covered in wiry dark hair. Right underneath, a juicy set of six packs led to a thick, black treasure trail that disappeared under the elastic band of his worn-out shorts. Once he realized Rhys was staring at him, he raised his face; his upper canines were poking ever so slightly from under his lip, making his look adorable and somewhat feral at the same time.

"Rhys!" he exclaimed with a big smile. "Everything okay?"

"Y-yeah!" Rhys said, his voice a little unusually high as he blushed again. He couldn't stop looking at Kaipo's abs, his stomach, his beautiful bearded face, "The tub will be ready in a couple of minutes, although I don't know how full I should fill it if we're... both getting in? At the same time?" he repeated, hoping he hadn't misinterpreted. Kaipo nodded; all of a sudden, he had a serious and solemn expression on his scruffy face.

"I have something to show you," he confessed. "Big secret. Hope it will not... scare you, Rhys." Rhys blinked, uncertain, but he nodded.

"I promise I'll keep it a secret." he said. At least that much he could promise, whatever it was. Kaipo nodded enthusiastically, then walked to the other boy and hugged him, resting his head on Rhys' shoulder for a moment.

"Thank you," he whispered. "I like you, Rhys. You are warm. Gentle. Like a tidal pool." Rhys grinned warmly at that, hesitantly reaching up to sink his fingers into Kaipo's shaggy hair. It felt strange and wonderful at the same time, releasing a musky, earthy smell almost like seaweed. It was an enigmatic scent that he'd never smelled on anyone else, uniquey Kaipo. It also sent a quiver through Rhys that made his nipples and his cock harden.

"I like that... Tidal pools are so cool. I mean, warm." Rhys grinned gently. Kaipo unwrapped his strong arms and stared at the other boy in the eyes, their faces inches apart.

"I feel it, Rhys. I smell it. Your desire..." he murmured in a soft voice.

"I, I mean, I..." Rhys trailed off. He'd never told anyone he was gay. Was it that obvious? Was there any point in denying it, especially when they were both here, alone, and about to take a bath together. Rhys smiled sheepishly and nodded. Kaipo nodded back, a vague grin on his lips.

"I will show you my secret. If you are not scared, maybe... we can kiss? Cuddle?" A brief pause. "More?" His deep indigo eyes were almost mesmerizing, as if they were directly connected to the open sea. "I desire you too, Rhys. You are a good soul."

"More..." Rhys whispered in wonder before nodding, "So are you Kaipo..." he murmured back. Every synapse in his brain was firing in rapid succession, trying to satisfy urges both primal and brand new.

"Yes!" Kaipo exclaimed enthusiastically, despite the fact he didn't know what Rhys had meant by that. He pressed once again a big hand on his chest. "Kaipo," he repeated, before doing the same with Rhys. "Rhys," he said. He then grabbed the other boy's fingers and gave them a gentle squeeze. "Together."

"Together." Rhys repeated, feeling a little bit anxious given the fact that Kaipo clearly had a language barrier. Was he taking advantage of the situation, of this sweet, strange man? He had to respect Kaipo and his wishes, and yet it was so exhilarating how the puzzle pieces were fitting together.

"Good," Kaipo nodded. "It's time for the bath now. I need one, for sure."

****

A slight haze of steam lifted from the bath water, the liquid seeming faintly green against the egg-shell white ceramic shell. Rhys had removed his tank top, revealing his sun-kissed, over tanned, incredibly freckled shoulders. His shirt was draped over a white wicker hamper before his shorts dropped next, leaving just his underwear. Rhys had never felt so ready and so hesitant about anything before. He looked over his shoulder over at Kaipo, almost yearning to see the parts of him he hadn't already.

The Pacific Islander hunk was carefully removing his old board shorts; he looked very concentrated as he lowered the worn elastic band, revealing an average-length uncut penis that was remarkably thick, paired with a plump, hefty-looking ball sack that hung really low. He was still wearing his anklet and the pendant that he had been gifted, but he was otherwise naked in all his scruffy glory. His blue eyes caught Rhys' gaze, and Kaipo gave the other young man a tentative, shy smile that betrayed his own nervousness.

"U-um..." he murmured, scratching his blond-tipped hair. "I..." He clearly wanted to say something, but it looked like words were failing him. Rhys swept forward, closing his eyes as he brought his lips to Kaipo's, letting them linger there for just a moment as the late afternoon sun spilled across them from a high milky window. Rhys pulled back, smiling sheepishly, feeling his heart flutter in a way that assured him he had done the right thing - at least as long as Kaipo thought so. The tip of Kaipo's tongue emerged from his mouth, licking his own lips.

"You taste good, Rhys," he said in a soft tone. "I like kissing. Perfect way to bond," he then added, before grabbing the boy's hand in his own. "If you don't hate me after I show you my secret... we can kiss more. For as long as you want, Rhys."

"I can't think of anything that would keep me from wanting to kiss you more." Rhys said, squeezing Kaipo's hand, "Do you want to tell me now, or, uh, in the tub?" he asked. Kaipo gulped, his prominent Adam's apple quivering.

"I need to show you," he said, a bit cryptically. "In the tub. Something that will happen once I am... in the water."

Rhys' mind had been working overtime trying to predict or guess what Kaipo's secret was ever since he had first mentioned it. He'd played through hypotheticals in his mind, sandwiched between fantasies of just what they could get up to together... but none of them were contingent on being in water. Without any way to parse just what he meant, Rhys finished undressing, revealing a long and lean manhood of his own before he stepped over the rim of the tub and lowered into the water. His red hair and dark freckles were a sharp but welcome contrast to the pale cream and green colors of the bathroom.

Kaipo waited until Rhys was sitting in the bathtub before following him. He hesitated for a couple seconds, his face clouded by doubts; finally, however, he set one foot inside the hot, soapy waters, then the other. A long, soft moan escaped from his lips, as tiny bubbles started fizzing against his skin, as if he had just dropped some kind of bath bomb in the tub.

"It started..." he murmured, before crouching down, his body covered in more and more bubbles as he sank into the wonder. His expression looked oddly happy, as if his worries had just evaporated. Rhys blinked. He'd never seen anything like it - or rather, he'd never seen anything like it coming from a person. It reminded him of chemistry class, of chemical reactions, of baking soda and vinegar. Kaipo was fizzing and frothing, his body obscured. It was as if he was in a hot tub and providing his own bubble jets. Rhys felt goosebumps raising on his skin as the bubbles brushed against him on his way to the surface.

"Feels good... always feels good," Kaipo whispered. Despite the curtain of bubbles, it was clear that one of his hands was wrapped around his now erect cock, and that he was jerking off with slow, languid movements. Rhys got a strange, almost drunk grin on his face as he gazed across the tub. For some reason the fizzing didn't seem as important as the fact that Rhys had brought home a hairy, handsome stranger, got him into his bathtub and now he was jacking off inches away while they touched... If it hadn't been for the spigot in the small of his back, it would have been perfect.

Rhys reached down, running his hand over his long cock as it swelled and stiffened, rising like a tent pole until he wrapped his fingers around it. He gave it a squeeze before he started to slide his hand up and down. Nothing could tear his eyes from Kaipo, though, watching his bearded face twist and tighten into expressions of pleasure.

"I need... water," Kaipo grunted, before he - for a brief moment, and without stopping his masturbation - submerged himself completely, his head and face and hair covered in tiny bubbles like the rest of his body. He remained below in the maelstrom for what seemed like just a bit too long. Once he emerged, his scruffy hair was sticking to his forehead and falling a bit over his eyes, giving him the appearance of a big, shaggy dog. As he huffed and moaned in bliss, however, something started happening: his strong nose began to darken, from brown, to dark brown, then black, gaining a glossy, rubbery and definitely inhuman sheen.

Rhys watched, dumbfounded and amazed, having a strange gut feeling that he was seeing something... special, something no one else had seen. Kaipo's nose wasn't just changing texture, it seemed to be changing shape too. The hunk panted, his mouth slightly open, showing his canine teeth arching ever so slightly as the enamel restructured and developed; his beard seemed fuller and scruffier by the moment, and started obscuring a set of lips that looked positively dark grey. Kaipo's free hand emerged from the bubbly water, as if trying to reach for Rhys: the fingers looked thicker than before, with small tufts of hair covering their knuckles, and black, hard-looking nails on their tips.

What was someone supposed to think in such a moment, watching their crush change before their very eyes? Was Rhys supposed to be afraid? Why... why was he masturbating harder and faster, the water sloshing around his hand as it went up and down, panting in a strange exhilaration. What was happening? Why couldn't he look away, let alone run? He watched Kaipo transform, mesmerized, watching every minute change. The legs brushing his under the water were distinctly fuzzy - no, furry... and they felt so good. Kaipo's weirdly-shaped hand gently closed around Rhys' free wrist.

"I... need you. Close to me," he pleaded before his mouth and the lower part of his face started extending, bones cracking as they reshaped, even though Kaipo didn't seem in pain at all. "I want you to feel... the real me, as I change." Rhys wordlessly let Kaipo guide his hand, extending it, watching. It seemed somehow like Kaipo had been wearing a mask, hiding his real self, and now Rhys was seeing it for the first time.

The scruffy, bushy, thick bleach blond beard began to expand, hair trickling and spreading up his face, rounding his eyes and crossing the bridge of his nose above where the tip had turned black and leathery. What had seemed like abundant arm hair had only gotten thicker and denser as it grew out and more strands filled in. His body was in a beautiful, strange metamorphosis and Rhys was transfixed.

The fingers wrapped around Rhys' hand were likewise still changing, a drastic and yet at the same time elegant transformation: a thick, leathery membrane appeared in the space between one finger and the next, giving the hand a webbed appearance; in the meantime, his now polished onyx nails extended just like his teeth, creating short, blunt claws that nonetheless looked as hard as steel.

"Do you... like me?" the mutating stud murmured, his deep blue eyes the only part of his body seemingly untouched by the changes.

"You're amazing... You're so handsome..." Rhys whispered, his mind straining, but as he saw coarse white whiskers pierce through the perimeter of Kaipo's beard, it all suddenly clicked. Rhys sat up taller in the tub, "You're an otter!" he said in surprise. Kaipo groaned in pleasure at Rhys' words of acceptance, as his ears began to disappear among his dense blond and dark fur.

"Do you want me?" he said in a sultry tone, his voice now half an octave lower and a bit rougher than before. He parted his legs, and despite the bubbles, it was clear some dramatic changes were taking place down there too. "You can, if you want to. All of me. Even now."

Rhys didn't know what to say... His hunk, his crush, his delightful stranger had turned into some sort of human-otter hybrid in his bathtub. He was a beast, an animal, and yet so clearly himself. More than just that, though, he was sweet and tender and gentle... and he needed Rhys. Rhys leaned in and kissed Kaipo again, nearly shivering with pleasure at the tickle his partner's bushy, wet otter beard gave him as they embraced. As Kaipo's face was slowly but surely covered in scruffy sea otter fur, his indigo irises stared deep into Rhys' eyes.

"I want to bond, Rhys. Become one with me, please." One of his hand-paws - the palms now covered in soft but strong leathery pads - wrapped around Rhys' thin and long erection, guiding it towards a rubbery, pulsating hole. "Together?"

"Together..." Rhys whispered back, his voice a bit hoarse. He slipped forward, bringing his cock towards that quivering hole as the last bubbles left Kaipo's body, revealing it was furry and wet and beautiful. Kaipo shivered, his fluffy tail caressing Rhys' buttocks, as his pucker was slowly penetrated.

"Yes..." he mumbled, eyes closed in bliss, whiskers vibrating. "I want you in me, Rhys... Deep. All of it." Rhys closed his eyes, moaning softly as he felt his cock push through that rubbery ring, finding a hotter, softer depth inside. He thrust and wriggled, working his way in inch by inch. Kaipo's webbed hand caressed his lover's cheek, before his short muzzle planted a kiss of the boy's lips, his meaty, warm tongue worming its way inside Rhys' mouth. He couldn't even remember the last time he had had sex, and he had desperately needed it for a long while.

The water in the tub sloshed and lapped at the edges, chaotically at first but soon it began to rock back and forth, forward to back in even waves. Rhys was surprised how natural it felt to fall into a rhythm to fuck Kaipo. His cock dove in deep and slipped back as he went at it more and more, kissing Kaipo with a deep seeded hunger. He reached up, grabbing onto his furry cheeks with both hands, his tongue plunging through his thick mustache, past his gray lips and into his mouth full of sharp teeth.

Kaipo wrapped his muscular arms around the slimmer teenager, leaving his throbbing, animalistic erection untouched; the pleasure he was feeling from having his prostate stimulated was more than enough for him to enjoy. Rhys was clearly an amateur, but he made up for his lack of technique with a lot of passion and energy. The otter man's webbed toes curled and uncurled rhythmically, his nails clicking against the white ceramic of the tub. Rhys moaned and murmured, wrestling Kaipo's tongue with his own, mashing his face against his lover's. He fucked harder and deeper, not caring as water sloshed over the sides of the tub. Kaipo broke the kiss, once again looking at Rhys straight in the eyes.

"I'm close, Rhys. Very close," he murmured, feeling his heavy, round balls churning. Rhys grinned at that, feeling a pang of pride. He reached down, caressing and groping Kaipo's fat balls before his fingers wrapped around his fat, blunt cock. Rhys pumped Kaipo's meat even as he churned his cock inside the otter's ass, trying to drive him over the edge, to make him cum, to complete their bonding. Kaipo groaned, his eyes rolling to the back of his head, as Rhys gave the final assault to his cock. There was no way he could resist, being touched and stimulated like that drove him to his climax almost immediately.

"I'm... coming..." he managed to whimper before his otter dick sprayed dense, pearlescent cum in the bath water. It was salty and briny, a little more water soluble than cum normally was, making the tub murkier than before. He probably pumped out half a pint of spunk, his orgasm lasting for a good minute as his cock twitched and spasmed. The entire time, Rhys worked the otter's club, milking it and feeling it quiver in his hand. As Kaipo's load eventually began to taper, Rhys lifted it up, breaching the surface of the water, letting Kaipo's sperm splatter across his freckled chest, dribbling down his stomach. In the dreamy daze of the afterglow, the otter man collected some of his own cum with trembling fingers and sucked them clean, savoring the salty, rich texture.

"Cum," he urged Rhys. "Inside of me. Make me yours." Rhys didn't need much prompting. His face betrayed the euphoria he found himself in. He was sweating despite being half submerged in water, smelling of another man's cum, cock buried deep in an otter's ass. He ground tightly, leaning forward, squeezing and rubbing Kaipo's cock against his stomach as he leaned in for another beardy kiss. As he wriggled as deeply as he could, his back arched, a moan escaped his lips and he came hard - harder than he ever had in his entire life.

Kaipo groaned as he felt his lower intestines being filled with hot teenage cum, satisfying a thirst that had plagued him even deeper than what he felt when he was lying dehydrated and hungry under that bridge. He finally had met someone who was kind and accepting and gentle, someone who had felt no fear when Kaipo had revealed to him his true self. The bond they shared was more than just physical, it was spiritual. It transcended everything, including the divide of species.

"I'm yours..." Kaipo murmured, looking at Rhys with adoring eyes. "For as long as you want. I belong to you."

"I will always keep you... and I am yours, forever, as long as you want me." Rhys whispered, kissing Kaipo again, his cock ushering forth one more partial orgasm to seal their bond.

The sound of the ocean was immense and timeless, waxing and waning while ceaselessly churning all the while. The water rushed and retreated across vast stretches of the pale tan sand. It coursed through tide pools and crashed into sharp, jagged rocks before spraying upwards in huge plumes of mist before settling down again. Bright golden light flooded the beach, penetrating the water and illuminating the vast and rich ecosystem beyond. It seemed like paradise, but Rhys found it impossible to find anything negative about anywhere he and Kaipo were together.

The days had slipped by, a blur of joy and romance. Their lips seemed constantly occupied between eating, kissing and making love. It seemed today would be no different as the two sat on a big teal picnic blanket on the sand, hand in hand, the sun baking their skin. If it got to be too much, Rhys knew they could retreat to the water and swim - among other things. Kaipo nuzzled his boyfriend's face with his soft and scruffy beard, an expression of blissful happiness on his lips and in his eyes. It was as if he couldn't be physically apart from Rhys, he needed to be able to touch him, to kiss him, to feel him near at all times.

"I love sleeping with you, at night. Your bed is so nice... so soft," he blurted out in a spacey voice, before yawning, exposing his pointed canines. "I love how warm you are, Rhys." He was wearing a pair of board shorts - a brand new one, courtesy of Rhys' father - and nothing else, except for his two usual accessories and the gold earrings hanging from his lobes. Rhys rolled over, straddling Kaipo until their grounds pressed tight, seeming to always be in some state of erection. Rhys gave Kaipo a bit of a hump.

"And I love sleeping with you. You're so nice and soft and warm..." Rhys grinned, "You've made my life more than a thousand times better." Kaipo nuzzled him back, a smile on his lips.

"My life is better now, too. Your house is nice, your dad is nice." Thanks to the mystical bond the two now shared, Rhys' father had been unusually accepting when he found out that his son was gay and that his boyfriend was a mysterious hunk who was going to live with them from now on. If anything, he had started treating Kaipo like a family member, and was completely on board with him and his son being a couple. "You are amazing, of course... my bond."

"My partner, my sexy fishy otter boy!" Rhys grinned, moaning softly as the friction between them passed another threshold and he nearly came yet again. He slowed down a little, wanting to savor it, moving to kiss, suck and nibble on Kaipo's neck, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. He slurped and murmured, leaving a faint mark before eventually pausing and pulling back. Rhys hesitated, wrestling with his thoughts for a moment, "There's still so much I don't know about you." He finally admitted. Kaipo nodded at that, his pointy canines planted in his lower lip in a cute and endearing gesture, even though his face betrayed his discomfort.

"I, um..." he murmured, his brow furrowed. "I do not know much, either. About myself, I mean." Rhys looked a little anxious at that answer himself.

"What do you remember?" he asked gently after trying to search for the words that would be the least forceful. He wanted to know more about Kaipo, but not if it was hard for him. The otter man nodded, a slow and ponderous gesture that seemed to cost him a lot of energy. When he finally spoke, his voice was firm and his indigo eyes looked as deep and calm as ever.

"I have... very few memories from my past. They are like dreams. If I try and focus on them, they just... vanish." A lone, round tear rolled down his brown cheek. He didn't look anguished, but it was clear that remembering those vague, scattered memories was still like poking at an open wound; and yet, he also looked like he needed to get certain things out of his chest, to be able to share them with someone he could trust after all that time spent alone in the world. "I remember... a small village by the sea, on an island. The people there were... all like me. Otter spirits. We live and die like humans do, but... we also have magic in us, as you know. This is why we lived by ourselves, hidden from the world."

"That sounds like a long way from washing up in the canal... I'm so glad I found you." he said softly, thinking back to how close Kaipo had been to death under that bridge. Once again, however, the canine teeth of the Pacific Islander otter boy sank in his puffy lower lips.

"Well... you know the beginning of the story, and the end. But there is more," he revealed. "When you found me, a lot of... a lot of time had passed since I was with my clan."

"That sounds lonely... even without the details." Rhys said, cuddling up against Kaipo, trying to support him. Kaipo nodded, letting out a small sniffling sound.

"What happened is... I was fishing at sea when a storm came. I was supposed to be with one of my older brothers, but I had decided to go alone. When I woke up again I was... somewhere. Not sure where. But I saw a small town with humans in it and I went there. Worked whatever work I could find. Learned English. Got these." He touched the gold rings in his ears. "Tattooist guy. Let me crash at his place for a while. Nice and caring, but..." Kaipo shook his head. "Did not want to bond."

"Couch surfing sounds like it can make for a lot of stories, but not all of them good. The earrings look good on you though." Rhys said, reaching up to brush one with his thumb, "Really brings out your eyes." A timid smile appeared on Kaipo's face, before his tongue licked the tip of Rhys' nose.

"Thank you, my dear Rhys. I'm so glad I found someone to bond with." His voice lowered until it was barely a whisper. "Do you... really like my eyes? You can have eyes like mine, if you want to."

"What do you mean? How can I have eyes like yours?" Rhys asked in surprise. His mind started to turn, taking guesses at the answer but they were each too fantastical to believe. Then again, after seeing his boyfriend fizz up like alka seltzer in the bathtub and turn into an otter boy, anything could be possible. Instead of answering immediately, Kaipo pulled Rhys closer for a kiss, his tongue caressing the inside of his boyfriend's mouth. Even when they pulled apart, Rhys was left with a hazy, dream like smile on his lips.

"We are bonded now. If you want to, I can make you like me. You will be reborn as an otter spirit," he murmured, as if it was just a fact of life. "You will still be you, but when wet... you will change, like I did."

The words hung in the air for perhaps a bit too long as Rhys had to reach back and utilize his short term memory to play back what Kaipo had said, not once but twice before it made it through the gears of his mind. Rhys' lips moved, trying to form words before he had the thoughts to support them. Finally, his eyebrows creased into a look of forced focus, trying to smash through confusion and perplexity.

"You can change my species? I can become a... otter boy, like you?" he asked, his doubt somehow surpassing the confident matter-of-factness that Kaipo had deployed. It did seem that sometimes the land dwellers were quite dense. Kaipo didn't even seem to register the fact that Rhys was incredulous, and nodded.

"I cannot do that to everyone, of course. Only with those I bond with. And you are my only bond now, so..." The young man gulped, one of his hands touching the red glass pendant hanging from his neck with nervous fingers. "You do not have to do it, of course. It is just a possibility. You will not be able to return fully human if you decide to change, though."

"Who cares about that! How long can you hold your breath underwater? How deep can you swim? Can we cuddle underwater? Will I crave fish more?" Rhys asked, suddenly exploding with the potential of it all, a grin crossing his overly freckled face as he brimmed with excitement. Kaipo just cocked his head at that, his scruffy hair brushing against his shoulder. He wasn't exactly surprised by the reaction of his boyfriend: his bond let him know immediately that the excitement he was displaying was genuine.

"How about we discover all of that together?" he whispered in Rhys' ears before licking its ridge, his pointy canines massaging the sensitive cartilage. "Do you want me to change you now, or later?"

"N-now please." Rhys whispered, pressing into Kaipo. His heart fluttered, his breath was shallow. He felt more alive than he ever had before.

"Then take off your clothes and come with me," Kaipo replied, in a gentle but commanding tone that he had rarely used. He swiftly got rid of his board shorts, revealing his sizable erection, the uncut head glistening with pearly precum. Rhys resisted the urge to ogle and drool and did as he was told. Their picnic blanket became a catch all for his clothes before Rhys' sunkissed, well tanned body trotted after Kaipo. His feet padded across the sun warmed sand toward the water line.

As soon as Kaipo jumped into the cool waves, his body started bubbling and reshaping, slowly revealing his true self. A soft moan came out of his darkening lips as he grabbed his boyfriend's hand, pulling him towards deeper waters.

"You need some of my essence inside of you while bathing in sea water," he explained succinctly as his beard slowly spread across his face. "I will make sure you enjoy every moment of the process, my love."

Rhys said nothing, merely grinning as he waded out to deeper water. While most of the beach was covered with soft yellow-white sand, there were a variety of rocky outcroppings and boulders off to the side that obscured the view of the surf. Rhys slowed a little as the water crept up higher, the waves crashing against his waist, then his stomach. He felt the silky slippery tickle of seaweed on one side.

"I love you so much Kaipo!" Rhys called out to him over the sound of the waves crashing. The transforming shapeshifter smiled back, revealing cute fangs, and kissed the younger boy on his forehead with dark grey lips. Underwater, Rhys could feel something hard and warm poking against his asshole.

"I love you too, my Rhys," the otter man said in a quiet, but confident tone. One of his strong hands grabbed one of Rhys' butt cheeks, pulling it gently so that he could penetrate his boyfriend more easily. "Are you ready?"

"I'm ready." Rhys said, turning to grab onto a rock pillar that jutted out of the water, holding it for support. The bond had clearly enhanced their physical compatibility, because it took Kaipo only one good thrust of his pelvis for his dick to pass the elastic barrier of the pucker and slide halfway inside the tight ass of his lover. Rhys clenched and unclenched, massaging the shaft inside of him, feeling fulfilled in every way.

"I have to warn you..." the otter boy panted, fur starting to cover his buff arms. "Once I change, I am very sensitive. Will not take long for me to cum. When I do, you will become like me. Is this okay?"

"Of course. Any time with you is perfect, every second can feel like an eternity. I want to be with you forever!" Rhys said, eyes clenching shut. Kaipo's breathing was already becoming irregular, his padded fingers wrapping around Rhys' sides, his furry pecs pressing against his back. Rhys pressed back into that furry body while still holding onto the rock, risking breaking free and being tumbled by the surf. He felt his body rise and fall with the waves, his boyfriend thrusting back and forth. All of life had a push and a pull.

"Once you are like me, we will be bonded for life," he whispered in his boyfriend's ear. "Even if we will bond with others in the future, you and me will always be together. I promise."

"Good, cause I don't want my buoyant boyfriend to float off with anyone else. Now do it, make me yours!" Rhys said, shivering in the cool surf while feeling so hot inside. Kaipo groaned, and his cute canines left a mark - not deep enough to draw blood or even to hurt Rhys - on the boy's freckled shoulder.

"I am... cumming..." he moaned as his otter cock throbbed, spraying pearlescent, magical spunk deep inside his bond. Rhys inhaled, filling his lungs with air, feeling the heat blossoming inside of his core. It was done. The sea was the testimony of their union, and its power was going to dramatically alter Rhys' very existence in a matter of moments. Kaipo's clawed fingers gingerly played with his boyfriend's hard nipples, and caressed the scallop pendant around his neck. "Enjoy your last moments as a human, my love..."

"I'll- I'll-" Rhys moaned before his eyes clenched shut and he threw his head back, resting it against Kaipo's shoulder, shuddering as his hard cock expelled the last of his human seed into the seawater, the globs washed away and scattered. Rhys murmured and moaned, making all manner of sounds. All around him, the seawater started to feel warmer and warmer... or rather, his ability to handle it improved. His face took on a serene expression, his rusty red hair starting to shimmer with an oily sheen.

As the salty water splashed against his face, the drops of moisture clung to the darkening shadow of stubble blossoming from his cheeks and chin, darkening as the scruff emerged from his flesh. Kaipo, his dick still firmly planted inside Rhys' ass, wrapped his furry otter boy arms around his boyfriend's midsection, resting his head against the freckled skin.

"I can feel your soul changing..." he murmured dreamily. "Does it feel good, my dearest?" Rhys closed his eyes, leaning into the embrace.

"It feels like... waking up after the best nap, well rested and with a full tummy." he whispered, the stubble branching across his upper lip. New soft fuzz sprouted across his chest, but the most interesting change had to be the tickle of thousands of tiny bubbles starting to form on his legs and feet, rising up in a confusing cloud around them both. Rhys moaned out far louder, gyrating and grinding against his boyfriend's cock.

"You love it, huh?" Kaipo, now a full sea otter man, grinned in pleasure, a sound not unlike a low purr escaping from his lips. "My dick deep inside you, your body changing, the bubbles... we can have all of this every day, for the rest of our lives."

"I love you..." Rhys whispered, "I love you so much!" he exclaimed louder, gasping and arching his back. What had started as a light fuzz across his chest and stomach slipped around his ribs, over his shoulders and spiraled down his arms. The waves were coming higher and higher, splashing over their shoulders and even their heads. Rhys' skin fizzed and bubbled as the water cascaded over it, leaving behind more and more rusty reddish-brown fuzz. His ears seemed to shift, his nose darkening. As the waves receded, he was left with wiry white whiskers poking out from his now fuzzy cheeks. Kaipo's dick, now reduced to a chubby, slipped out of the mutating boy's hole, and the bigger sea otter gently spun his boyfriend around, so that the two of them could look each other in the eyes.

"You are becoming even more beautiful, Rhys," Kaipo declared. "Becoming what you were always meant to be." Rhys merely writhed and pressed into his lover as his pit hair, chest hair and bush became fur, dominating more and more of his body. His well tanned, freckled skin disappeared beneath the rusty brown, slick fur. His face popped and crunched as his nose broadened and nostrils flared. His tongue tested newly sharpened teeth. When Rhys finally opened his eyes, the familiar arboreal green hue was drained away as an intense indigo emerged in their place, popping from where they were set in rings of a furry face.

The line between Rhys' hair and fur blurred as his new fuzz crossed his forehead and cheeks, becoming one seamless pelt with a particularly long mane behind his head. His fingers clenched and unclenched on the rock as the sensitive skin between his fingers got a bit tougher and more leathery, stretching out into webs as his nails darkened and took on faint points. Kaipo grabbed one of Rhys' stronger, sturdier paw-hands and beckoned him towards even deeper water.

"Come on, my love... take a deep breath and come with me. I want you to spray your first otter boy seed enveloped in the cold, loving embrace of the ocean," he said tantalizingly. Rhys grinned almost with a drunken appreciation at that before he took a deep breath and dipped down into the water. A spray of fizzing bubbles lifted off of the last of his human skin. His webbed feet waggled, pulling him off of Kaipo and letting him surge a little under the surface of the water. He could feel the tug of the currents, but without the crash of the waves it was certainly easier to navigate.

No words could express quite how sublime it felt to propel one's self through the water with webbed hands and feet. It was nearly perfect, although a burning, searing heat in Rhys' hindquarters alerted him to the fact that his changes weren't quite over. As he swam, his aching tailbone began pushing out. It created a wedge of fur covered flesh that steadily stretched out longer and longer, wriggling a little as it gained enough mass to act as a rudder. Rhys' whiskers twitched as he turned, glancing over his shoulder at Kaipo, not wanting to get so lost in the moment that he actually got lost.

His boyfriend, however, was right behind him, wrapping an arm around his slightly more prominent chest in a loving gesture, while also caressing Rhys' still erect otterboy cock - longer than before, now tracing more of a gentle arch - with his other hand. His indigo eyes betrayed his quiet, and yet immeasurably deep love for the young man whose life he had changed, just in exchange for a couple simple fish sandwiches. His fingers started pumping up and down, massaging the eleven incher's extremely sensitive skin.

Rhys was caught between feeling like he had plunged into a new world that needed exploring and feeling the most amazing hand job of his entire life. His cock was huge, long and sublime, aching with need. His testicles were more protected in his otter fur. He grabbed onto some seaweed with one hand to anchor himself, wrapping it around his wrist. The tide pulled them back until the seaweed grew taut and they stopped in place. Rhys reached down with his spare hand to caress Kaipo's furry, shaggy head. His tail flicked and his feet paddled as his long cock was worked. Much like Kaipo, he felt so very close to orgasm already.

As the Pacific Islander otterboy massaged one of Rhys' nipples, idly thinking about how cute they would be with some thin steel bars piercing through them, the rhythm of his intimate massage grew, hitting all the right spots - and considering how sensitive his boyfriend's huge tool was, every spot was perfectly right - with his leathery pads, bringing him closer and closer to the first climax of the rest of his life. His lips planted themselves over his lover's, tongues playfully fighting.

The two tangled and tussled beneath the water, their furry bodies rubbing and brushing, grinding and moving in sensual patterns. It wasn't quite a dance, but it was almost musical. The melody of hand movements built to crescendo and Rhys squirmed as his cock throbbed, letting out a milky haze of otter cum into the water. Several long, languid spurts erupted as he cemented his change, his new identity and his new lifestyle. They didn't need words.

They hardly needed air. Every thought and emotion could be conveyed with movement, with touch and with a look exchanged between them. The content expression on Rhys' face told Kaipo that he'd made his boyfriend very happy. Rhys grabbed onto Kaipo's underarm with one webbed hand and pulled him up until they were chest to chest and nestled along the seaweed. They slowly rose to the surface, their dark round noses breaking through the water as furry faces bobbed beneath the sun. Their furry bodies were hidden beneath, entwined in an embrace that felt more natural than being apart ever had. They were more than just bonded. They were one.

Another scorching hot day had saddled the city, making the air conditioning inside of Anderson's Grocery even more of a relief. The produce section looked like the perfect hybrid of rustic wood and architectural perfection as piles of tomatoes, avocados, and onions were offered on dais like displays. Fine mist filtered down across rich dark purple cabbages and fiery orange carrots while rainbows of peppers awaited the meals they would one day complete. Even the potatoes seemed to be in perfect condition, collected into a melange of browns, reds and even purples.

Rhys walked across the wood floor, enjoying the faint mist coming off of the vegetables. He passed the deli with its assortment of salads, meats and cheeses before coming up to the seafood section at the back corner of the store. A broad, robust smile crossed Rhys' rusty ginger bearded face as his indigo eyes scanned across the chilled metal and ice chips displaying fresh fish, shellfish and accoutrements. The tropical crab salad looked particularly appealing with the fresh pineapple adding a sweetness to the savory - but that wasn't the snack that Rhys had come to see. He looked over the counter, admiring the employee working so hard to do his duty even in the last moments of his work shift.

It was still weird to see Kaipo wearing actual clothes, but - at least when he was working - he was dressed impeccably; his uniform was probably a bit too skintight, showing all the bulging muscles underneath, and his beard didn't exactly follow the store guidelines, but the passion he put in his work was second to no one, and his ability to recognize spoiled seafood with nothing more than a quick glance and a brief sniff was almost supernatural. The compliments about freshness had been pouring in and Kaipo had earned nearly a quarter of the store's kudos' cards from the customers. The Pacific Islander cleaned his hands in the white apron that was tied around his waist, and his eyes sparkled when he recognized who was on the other side of the counter.

"Rhys!" he exclaimed, his pointy canines glistening under the cold neon lights. "Here you are!" Rhys grinned warmly, finding it oddly appealing to find Kaipo behind the counter in his uniform.

"Here I am, right on time." Rhys said with his winning smile. Kaipo's mouth widened in a surprised circle. He looked like a young kid going to an amusement park for the first time in his life.

"Right! It's the end of my shift!" The otter man had managed to adjust to the human world in the past few months much better than before, but some intricacies of modern society still escaped him, like the way people measured time. "Wait for me, I will be right back!" he added, nodding at his co-workers and then disappearing in the back of the store. Rhys passed the time waiting by drifting over to the bakery, looking at the various offers on display. It seemed Kaipo had an effect on everyone. Even the baker had gotten more creative and had made clam shaped sweet breads that glistened beneath the lights of the case. Kaipo's positivity was infectious.

A big, strong hand ruffled Rhys' hair from behind. "Hello!" Kaipo's warm, slightly rough voice purred right next of his right ear. "Was your day okay?" he then asked, solicitous as always.

"Oh yes, but it just got a lot better." Rhys said, taking Kaipo's hand and putting it squarely on his hip, "You ready?" he asked, trying not to swoon from just how lucky he was. A few of the other shoppers smiled. There was something about seeing young love that gave people hope, and Rhys had been lucky enough that the people of his beach town felt the same way when that young love involved incredibly scruffy, borderline hippy-looking eighteen year olds. Kaipo coked his head on one side, his artfully messy hair bobbing, a quizzical look on his face.

"Ready for what?" he asked. Unlike Rhys, he didn't even look at the people around them, he didn't even register their presence. His eyes, his heart, his everything was his only bond, in that very moment. There was something so marvelous and exhilarating, knowing he had chosen a person for himself.

"Ready for an amazing weekend of romance and relaxation?" Rhys asked, walking with Kaipo for the doors. They rumbled apart as they emerged, stepping into the warm summer air. Kaipo's hand wrapped around Rhys' fingers, and for a moment his indigo eyes looked down, as if he still couldn't believe that he actually had a hand to hold tight.

"Was Steve okay with our idea?" referring to Rhys' dad. "We can go kayaking to that island off the coast? Just the two of us for a weekend?"

"He offered us to get reservations for a cabin, he said 'he knows a guy who knows a guy'. I don't think I've ever seen him quite so excited, but he just loves you so much." Rhys smirked. Kaipo shrugged, a knowing grin on his lips.

"Well, I am bonded with you, and you are flesh of his flesh. The love he feels for me is different than the one you feel for me, of course, but... he is family now," he explained. "Although now I just want to, you know... spend some time with my boyfriend. In my true form."

"Well... I was thinking about that..." Rhys said softly, "I know we have plans to do the whole Kayak thing, but you just finished a long week as a human and I was thinking that maybe we... start early? Maybe with the closest body of water?" Rhys grinned, walking with Kaipo across the hot parking lot before crossing a stretch of parched grass, heading down a steep, well worn path that led down to the scenic path along the tributaries, "We could hide our stuff and just swim." Rhys whispered. Kaipo's fingers rubbed his boyfriend's palm in a subtle but sensual gesture.

"Just swimming?" he murmured back, before his tongue - for a split moment - teased the rim of Rhys' ear. "We should make love, my dearest. Under the waves, where nobody can see us..."

"Oh, believe me, I'm sure that's on the menu too." Rhys said, giving Kaipo a kiss on his beard rimmed lips before he started slipping off his shirt, revealing his hairy, freckled body to the late afternoon sun. Kaipo, as always, was very quick getting rid of his clothes, revealing his buff, furry physique and his thick, uncut erection. He smiled at his boyfriend, before leaning over for a romantic kiss.

"Thank you, Rhys. For everything... and especially for giving me those fish sandwiches that one time. I would not be here otherwise," he murmured in a sweet, almost melancholic tone. Rhys blushed before he put his arms around Kaipo's neck.

"If you give an otter a fish sandwich, he's yours for the rest of his life, right?" Rhys said with a grin despite butchering the saying, "I always want you to be well fed, content, and very happy." Rhys whispered. Kaipo brushed his cheek against the side of his boyfriend's face.

"Then I have to let you know that I have never been happier," he declared, before wrapping his hands around Rhys' fingers, pulling him gently towards the sea. "Let's go, now. I still have to teach you how to hunt like any proper otter should."

"Otters hunt? Don't they just get all their food by looking cute and being playful?" Rhys smirked, following after Kaipo. The water at the edge of the trail got fairly deep fairly fast and Kaipo started fizzing immediately as soon as his leg stepped in, doubling as the other one joined it. Rhys all but hopped in after him, coming down in front of his boyfriend so they were waist to waist, surrounded by the flurry of tiny bubbles.

"That only happened because you thought I was cute," the transforming Pacific Islander hunk said with a cheeky grin. "And now I have to teach you how to be a good otter boy, because I think you are cute. As you humans say, if you teach a man how to fish..."

"Well, I did think you were cute... But now I know you're downright handsome." Rhys said, "But now you have to teach me to fish? I thought we were going to do more than just swim." he smirked, wading deeper. Beneath the water the fur was sprouting from his legs, his toes were growing webbed, and with just a little bit of water his ass cheeks parted to make room for his otter tail filling in.

"How about a fishing competition? And the one who catches the bigger fish can top the other?" Kaipo suggested nonchalantly as his beard spread all over his face, merging with the hair and the fuzz. "That should be enough for you to give your best... unless you want me to fill that cute tailhole of yours."

"I think a competition sounds good..." Rhys grinned before he dipped down under the water and sprung back up, the fizzing revealing gur spreading across the gaps of his upper cheeks, around his eyes and across his nose as his face reshaped. He flexed his hands as they grew webs, his body completing the transition into rusty reddish brown otter-man. He grinned, bobbing up and down in the water, barely able to touch the bottom.

"Then let's go, my love," Kaipo replied, indigo eyes into indigo eyes, before he effortlessly slipped underwater, his hydrodynamic body moving right below the surface. Despite the competition, Rhys took just a moment to appreciate his boyfriend's slick furry body before he dove underneath, swimming after him. There was just one last fleeting glimpse of their otter bodies before they swam out to sea.
