"Is this thing on?" A humanoid Vaporeon asks, standing in front of a camera in a studio-like room. The fox's large breasts made them seem female, but one could clearly see that shi was herm if they looked down. "I don't want to start talking and randomly appear in the middle of a lecture."
Shi adjusted hir bodysuit, a shimmering blue silk that covered much of hir smooth body, though it was tight enough to leave nothing to the imagination. Aside from a blue, winged-egg emblem in the center of hir chest, the only other item on hir body seemed to be a black wristband with a solid black device on it.
Behind the camera was another humanoid Pokemon, this time a Latios with green markings. He smiled as he messed with several controls on a massive table of computer equipment, trying to get them just right. His clothing was vastly different, consisting of a cloth cargo vest, shorts, goggles, and a pair of headphones around his neck.
"Not yet. If Altair or Vega would hurry up and get here, I could get this stuff working faster." He replied, tapping buttons at a blazing speed. "If our sist..."
"Altair-Sirius, now, remember?" the fox interrupted, walking to his side. "Those two joined so quickly. Then again, Alti said it seemed to be fate."
At that moment, a Dragonite morph with Garchomp markings came into the room, jumping around in some sort of dance with headphones around their head, clearly not paying much attention to where they went. Again, a pair of breasts made them seem female, but their appearance gave away their hermaphrodite nature. Shi wore a pari of black wristbands, as well as a vest and shorts like the Latios, though the lack of undershirt exposed hir upper body's assets. However, these, along with a pair of arm and leg warmers, were clearly made of sky blue latex, designed to be smooth at all times. As one looked closer, though, they could see that the dragon's limbs were also very Garchomp-like, the legs being a perfect copy, and the hands with three claw-like digits that would form a single, wide claw and thumb.
Shi finally looked around with a wide grin. "Ceti, Alphard! Mind if I crash the party?" he asked, hir voice very melodic, before spinning around and pointing at them. "Too late. Can't hear ya."
The Latios shook his head. "Altair! Enough! I know you like Kamen Rider, but seriously..."
"Later, Alphard." Ceti said, interrupting him again. "Sis, just get this equipment running so we can start the Omnivice Exhibition. Everyone else is gone, expect for us and Deneb, but he's watching Centauri's egg, so we need you to watch the camera, too."
Altair laughed and started messing with the controls hirself. "Okay. It'll just take a moment, and I'll set it so no one has to be back here. Still, I wish Sirius wasn't handling my job back home in Azuria today. Should be in tonight, though. Maybe we could hold off on doing the..." Shi paused, licking hir lips as a bit of blue liquid appeared from the corner of hir maw. "Maybe we could do the super special lessons starting tonight. I'm sure Auva and Vega would love to join, and we could torture Sulafat a bit for his latest fun."
"Not to mention Eltanin and Rigela. They've been needing something to do for a while..." Alphard continued, pausing as well. "Well, that's for later."
The Dragonite tapped two more buttons, humming to hirself as the camera came to life. "The sea is running from a thunderstom. The storm will fade and the sea is reborn... Done. Camera control is set to auto."
A few moments later, all three stood in front of the camera. Ceti was in the center, with Alphard on the right and Altair on the left, the latter having changed into a slightly more tribal outfit, still blue in colour, though keeping hir vest.
Ceti gives a bow and, smiling, starts to speak. "Welcome, everyone, to a very special event. A few people were asking about our family's Omnivice system, as we do offer to let some people get their own for recreational purposes. As a result, we'd like to give everyone an exhibition of our powers..."
"Nii-chan, stop being so formal." Altair interrupted, stepping forward. "Everyone, I hope you don't mind. We won't do too much for this little primetime event. I'm Altair, leader and founder of Team Starlight. Normally, I'm much different, though my other half is currently taking care of some important matters in our home region of Azuria, off in the Dragon Frontier."
Shi wrapped hir arms around the other two, smiling. "Lati-butt here is Alphard, and the formal one is Ceti. We're all family here, and there are many more of us. If you're old enough, and decide to stick around for the after-hours broadcast, you'll get to meet them."
Ceti shoved hir sister off camera, causing Alphard to laugh. "As I was saying," the fox continued, "we've decided to show of some of our powers because others showed interest in the technology. You may even get to see the tech that only Altair, hir other half, Sirius, and our sister Vega have access to. In Altair's case, if shi doesn't behave, you might see it used AGAINST hir."
Alphard sighed, smiling. "Apologies to Altair, but let us start by saying this..."
"We are FAIR-LY STRONG." The Dragonite yells from across the room, shortly followed by a crash and laughter as the camera pans to show hir being tickled by Ceti, who had pounced on hir sister.
Again, Alphard let out a long sigh as the camera returned to him. "As I was saying, let me start by saying this. The Omnivices aren't for everyone. Some humans don't have the capability of using them, and the extremely young won't have the needed energy or control to use them."
The Vaporeon returned to the camera, straightening out hir dress. "The devices use memory energy, along with a bit of the user's own stamina, to create the effects. In fact, the cards we use have memory energy embedded in them, acting as a blueprint."
"And to stress the importance of the mind even further," The Latios continued, taking over again, "the cards are stored in the user's mind for easy access. One can sort and search for cards, and it'll seem like a daydream."
Looking off camera with a bit of shock, he jumps to the side as something zooms by, giving a dull flash as in circles around Ceti like a boomerang, only to be caught by Altair. "And creating cards is a snap in most situations." Shi says, giggling a bit. "By meeting new species and experiening new things, cards are created automatically. They also replace equipment bags for some things, and in our case, wardrobes."
Shi shows the card to the camera. The entire thing is blue, and on one side is a picture of Ceti's silky dress, with strange symbols that clearly make up words along the bottom of the face. After a few moments, the card disappears, showing a clearly pissed Vaporeon in front of the lens while the Dragoniite continues.
"The cards only store the blueprints, though, so no living thing can be kept in them. That means living clothing, plants, animals, and so on. That said, I have been working on something for..."
Shi paused, then quickly dodged as Ceti tried to tackle hir, the fox quickly flying off camera as a thud came over the microphone. "As I was saying, I've been working on something for storing personalities. It's working so far, but I don't have much to go on as far as samples go. Not yet, anyway."
Hir Latios brother jumped on hir back with a grin, smiling into the camera. "That's my sister. Now, shall we show off a few things? Maybe start with the basics, like transformation?"
"Sure." Shi replied as Ceti walked into frame, rubbing hir head. Putting a hand behind hir, shi pulled out a pistol with a large barrel, almost like those used by the famous Lylat System's soldiers, though it also had a scythe-like blade on the barrel, as well as a slot for cards.
"This is something that only myself, Sirius and Vega can use, called a Fang Magnum. It replaces the old Beyon-Drivers that we used to have. The reason they're restricted is because they can be used like an Omnivice, but on others who may or may not have their own. For our first example, Ceti, this might tickle a bit."
Shi loaded a pair of cards into the slot on it's side and took aim at hir sister, pulling the trigger after a moment. Two energy cards flew from the weapon, impacting the Vaporeon. and absorbing into hir body.
The fox then started glowing as hir body shrank. Shi lost hir breasts and feminine features as hir skin started turning tan and growing shimmering coat of brown fur. The now male fox's neck ruffle disappeared soon after the fur appeared, transforming into a ring of long, white, fluffy fur. The head fin and spine ridge disappeared as well, and his ears became long and fox-like, while his tail changed into a massive fluff of white fur, finally ending as the herm Vaporeon became a male Eevee of child-like stature.
Ceti went on a bit of an attack run and launched at the Dragonite, though shi once again stepped to the side, allowing hir sibling to crash again. "As you can see, my sister has become a male Eevee, and while he gets used to his current form... Alphard, mind explaining what happened?"
The camera turned to the Latios, who had brought in a couple of saucer chairs. He was sitting in one, and holding a pair of cards. "Well, for that transformation, sis used two cards. First was the Eevee Form Card."
He held up a white card with a full-bodied picture of and Eevee on the face, as well as strange writing along the bottom, and this time, the card was in full view. It was about the size of a playing card, though a bit more square.
"The second card was a bit different, namely the 'Gender: Male' Effect Card." He continued, now holding up a yellow card. This one had the universal male "circle and arrow" symbol on it's face, along with the word "Male" in a font similar to the strange writing on the other cards.
He put both away and smiled as the camera zoomed in. "When combined, the cards cause whoever uses them to become what dear Ceti became, though ferals may find themselves in a feral version of the form instead."
Suddenly, it scene changes as Altair avoids a clearly angered Ceti. Pulling out hir weapon, shi changed into a sword and slid a yellow card through a slot along the blade before uttering a single word; "Henshin."
The Dragonite glowed faintly as hir body became somewhat transparent and dark. On the Eevee's next attack run, shi stood hir ground as the hir sibling when through hir. As shi laughed, Alphard spoke again.
"Ah, one feature and another card. First, the 'Type: Ghost' Effect Card. What you saw was Altair changing into a Ghost type. In this form, the user can phase out of normal existance like a ghost, as well as float. If someone attacks them with what would be a Normal or Fighting type attack, they'll go right through. Also, anyone in this form would be able to pass thorugh solid walls and objects, though you should be careful. Attempting to go thorugh certain materials, or anything high in spiritual energy, will cause you to bounce back."
"The feature shi used was the voice trigger. Something shi loves doing with any effect or transformational card is to shout 'henshin', though usually only in battle or formal situations. Anyone with an Omnivice can set triggers to delay cards."
As he spoke, Ceti tried desperately to attack his sister, regaining his senses for a bit. He brought out a black card and scanned it along his wristband, smiling. In one paw, a ball of black energy formed for a moment, then was lauched at the Dragonite. It hit with such force that shi flew backwards at least ten feet, landing on hir back.
"And that was our first Attack card, Shadow Ball." Alphard said, almost like a commentator. "They're black cards with the name of the attack on the face, as well as a nice picture of the technique itself. Altair has a nice collection of non Pokemon attacks at hir disposal, as do Sirius and our sister Vega. Altair has a rather... unique history, Sirius has all of hir cards since they're technically one being now, and Vega is close enough that shi managed to get copies of them."
Altair rose to hir feet, grinning. The effects of the Type:Ghost card faded, and hir Garchomp-like colours returned. "Want to play rough, huh? Let's see how you deal with someone from offworld."
Three cards appeared in hir hand, and shi slid them along the blade of hir sword before twirling the blade and posing, again using the voice trigger, "Henshin." Hir body glowed as hir scales became a bright sky blue. Hir body became somewhat longer and wingless as hir hands and feet became somewhat more like a Dragonite's, though with three fingers and a thumb in the former's case. Hir face became much sleeker, and the front of hir nose gained crystal, armor-like scales that ran in a line up to the bridge of hir snout. The antennae on hir head grew and hardened into horns that swept back, and long, pointed ears appeared just under them.
A mane also appeared, white in colour, and ran down to the middle of hir back. In the final changes, shi looked almost like a cross between an Eastern and Western dragon, sky blue in colour. Two triangle-shaped marks under hir eyes glowed as well.
"And now we see Altair's orginal forme." Alphard commented. "As shi said, shi isn't from our world originally, but that's for another time. However, I'm not sure what the other two cards were... Wait..."
He stopped as crystal-like plates formed on the dragoness's body, shimmering in the light. Hir arms, legs, body and head were covered, and the Latios gave a chuckle. "Seems sis decided to use hir Legecian armor. It's not easily seen, but those are crystals shaped like armored dragon scales. The other one is probably an attack card."
Sure enough, as soon as he finished, Altair's blade started glowing. Shi swung wildly at the air, flinging waves of energy at hir sibling. After several moments of this, shi stopped, and the camera looked at a now defeated Ceti, laying on the ground in a daze. The dragon slid a black card, pointing hir blade at the limp fox. A white orb flew from it and went into his body, causing him to wake up wearily.
"And that was a Final Burst card, though some might call it a finishing move, or hissatsu." Alphard continued. "The 'Fell Heart' technique, to be exact. The second was a simple curative card, probably one of hir own that I don't know the name of."
The dragoness changed back into hir hybrid Pokemon forme, and walked up to help Ceti, who once again became a herm Vaporeon. The latter seemed a bit put off by hir sister's actions, but grabbed the Dragonite's arm and pulled hir down with a smile. After whispweing something into hir ear, the two shared a grin and got up to join Alphard.
Once in the room, Altair sat on a large pink beanbag while Ceti took the other saucer chair. The Latios shook his head, continuing with the exhibition himself. "Well, since you only saw a bit of the power, and mostly what you wouldn't get if you got an Omnivice, I guess I'll have to save this show."
He stood up and pulled out a red card, showing it to the camera. On it's face was an odd tribal outfit, again with strange text. "This is an Outfit Card. With it, I can instantly have whatever clothing is stored in it put on my body, perfectly fit and all. This one, for example, is from my native region of Poketara, namely the Acserian area."
After removing his headphones and revealing a collar with a panel similar to those on his sisters' wristbands, he slid the card in front of it. His normal clothing diappeared, though a bright glow kept him decent as new cloth formed around his legs and groin, turning into a type of skirt with complex markings. As the cloth moved upwards, he gained a shirt with similar markings, a rather long necklace with an assortment of coloured feathers, and several crystal earings along his wing-like ear.
"As you can see," he continued, "it replicates everything from the time the outfit was stored. Even my peircings and jewelery were included. Vega and all of my sisters make good used of this type, as their wardrobes are rather... large and diverse. I think the only one who isn't is Altair, who even before meeting Sirius, just went around naked most of the time. Then again, shi was male at the time..."
"Enough about the past." The Dragonite interrupted. "Folks have probably already been introduced to Sirius through hir story, which explained how me met. Now, there is another type of card we can share in our... primetime show. That's the Equipment Cards."
Shi pulled out a brown card, showing the face of it to the camera. This one was blank, even lacking any sort of writing. "In the example, I'll even show you how to create a card, though you might want to keep your world's laws in mind if you ever try this. Thankfully, we make almost everything we need here."
As shi moved the card to hir beanbag chair, they began to glow, then faded, the chair disappearing after several moments. Upon bringing the card to the camera again, one could see a picture of the chair itself, along with writing underneath. "Sorry if you can't read it. I use Azurian native writing for my cards, and the others use Poketarian. It says 'bean bag chair'. If I scan it, it recalls the chair for as long as I want."
After putting it away, the dragoness turned to the camera with a sly grin. "The creation of any card is rather simple, and causes very distinct decks to be created. Basically, when you first recieve your omnivice, of the latest version, you'll get a starter deck of the basic cards, as well as some Pokemon and non-Pokemon forms. Once you put your omnivice on, it will register you as the owner. and scan your memories for certain experiences. These memories create cards. For example..."
Shi pulled out a yellow card with what looked like a symbol for conjoined twins, and writing that spelled out 'Split/Fusion'. "Each of us share cards among ourselves, and we all have special abilities. My ability to merge with another, namely Sirius, created the Split/Fusion card, which would allow others to do the same. Our sister Auva has one that turns the user into a living inflatable toy, and Vega has one that allows the user to possess another living creature and take over it's body for a while."
"There's also my own Copycat ability..." The dragonite paused, blushing. "It allows me to create cards that make an identical copy of someone else, though by ethical code, I always try to ask. I'm currently the only one who can use them, though I'm sure Sirius can as well. We're one in the same, after all."
"Another set of cards, though still unreleased, are the Location cards. Right now, only myself, Sirius and Vega can use them. Some can transport the user and those around them to other places, or even worlds. Others create a sort of holographic area around them. Think of the television show Star Trek, and their Holodeck."
"Altair... what are you talking about?" Ceti asked. "I doubt anyone even knows what your talking about..."
"That's all we're willing to share for now." Alphard said. "Come back later tonight for a special 'Adults Only' extended exhibition that will lead well into the morning. You'll meet more of our family, and I assure you, excitement won't be a problem."
Altair stood and looked into the camera, grinning grinning. "If you're interested in obtaining one, contact a member of Team Starlight. The end of the boardcast will include ways to contact us. For now, take care."
The filming shut off abruptly as Altair's grin got wider. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'll head into the lake for a bit. Ceti, might want to wash up, too. I have to ask, though, what did you mean by that little comment?"
"You know exactly what I meant." the Vaporeon replied, suddenly jumping up on hir sister's back. "I never got a chance to see much of your Legecian form. Why don't we take a swim and clean up while you show me?"
With that, the walked off to cool down in the private lake, and to prepare for their after hours special. Alphard shook his head and laughed. "As usual, I get left with the cleanup. Heh... I'll have my fun soon enough."
