Appearance: A black and white furred fox with gold eyes, with a lithe yet muscular body. Usually wears a white/grey turtle neck with a black duster on top and pair of jeans or khakis.

Personality: Calm, cunning, kind and mature with a slightly playful side. But mocking and hostile to those he doesn't like. Usually quiet when he first meets someone new. He also have a fatherly side to him. But he rarely shows it. Mostly because he sees no reason to sometimes. Only letting it surface when he's talking to young children. Or those who seeks advice from him.

Bio/History:

Early Years

Born around 1705, he lived with his parents for the first three decades of his life. Learning everything they taught him. He left his home to wander the world. While he wished to grow stronger, he wasn't able to hunt for souls in the ways of old. While traveling the world for 107 years, he was working his brain on how to hunt.

Founding Black Fox

He witnesses the start of Detective units in London. After carefully studying them for awhile. A brilliant idea came to mind. So he started to study Law and later establish a Private Investigator agency during 1875, The Black Fox. Using his supernatural senses and abilities to his advantage. The Black Fox PI quickly became a favorite amongst the populace. As the number of jobs and demands increases for Black Fox. Rutherford's plan was set into motion.

As he commissioned an office to be build in the center of the populace. He perfected the contract spell he has been developing. As his office was finally built, he immediately let the populace know that he was hiring. Many tried their luck but only a select few were hired. The young Nogitsune only wanted the best and devoted in his agency. As his new employees get ready for their first day on the job. They all signed the usual contracts that are needed in this line of work.

Little did they know that they had sold their souls to their boss, quite literally. For when an employee has either passed away from old age or gets KIA on the job. Their souls would be transported to Rutherford, via a complex spell he has weaved. In which he'll devour them to grow stronger as a demon.

[Adept Spell Weaver] as the name suggests, Rutherford is adept at weaving spells. Though not as powerful as he wants to be. As he is still a rather young Nogitsune.

[Three Tailed] as the name suggests, Rutherford has devoured enough souls to gain three tails.

Others: Rutherford is an avid bookworm. Though playful and kind to those he knows and cherish. He outwardly mocks and jests those he doesn't like. The Black Fox PI agency is still operating to this day, with several branches across the world. A painting of Rutherford is kept in every known branch of Black Fox agency. A way his employees honor him for his hard work on starting Black Fox. As he has faked his death, to avoid suspension. The current year he is in, is the early 2000s.

While no romantic feelings blossomed between them. They still truly loved one another platonically throughout their marriage. She was already pregnant before she met Rutherford.

Rutherford met Lilian as a client during 1882. Just 2 years after the, newly built, original headquarters of the Black Fox agency had started it's business. Rutherford personally decided to work on her case. They kept their relationship purely professional while he worked on her case.

Though that changed after he found out about her pregnancy during his investigation. He asked her who the father was cautiously. To which Lilian replied with a stern, "He is not the father I want my children to have." Rutherford respectfully dropped the topic afterwards. He then quickly offered to find her a resident in a safe neighborhood, after the case was solved. While hesitant at first, Lilian took the offer after a few days of thinking. Once he found a resident to his liking. He helped Lilian move to it. Coming over to check on her every now and then.

Through a chain of events, Lilian found out about what Rutherford truly was. She was very shocked at first. As anyone would be after finding out that supernatural beings do exist. Her shock wears off quickly afterwards. Before she immediately started to barrage the Nogitsune with questions.

A few months after the event. Lilian caught Rutherford pacing around the neighborhood. So she invited him over to ask what was bothering him. While he was unsure at first, Rutherford told her that he was trying to think of ways to hide his identity more. They conversed for a few more hours before Rutherford decided to take his leave. Leaving Lilian with her thoughts. The very next day, her neighbors, a kind elderly couple, came over to ask what the nature of her relationship was with Rutherford. Jokingly asking her if they were seeing each other. A flushed Lilian told them that they weren't. And she immediately thought back on the conversation later when they left.

She realized that, yes, the two of them looked like they were seeing each other in a way. Rutherford, while rather busy most of the time, still came to check on her every now and then. They did, indeed, looked like they were seeing each other from an outsider's perceptive. And everyone had heard of who Rutherford was in one way or another. She could only guess the amount of rumors surrounding them now. After mulling over a few things, she had an idea.

During the next time Rutherford was checking on her. She was due to give birth in a month or two. She suggested that they should pretend that they were dating over some tea. Poor Rutherford inhaled his tea in shock when she did. Asking her why she said that unexpectedly after he managed to quell his coughs down. She explained her plan to him. Since many already assumes they were seeing each other. They wouldn't question them too much. On the chance that they did start to date one another seriously. Rutherford mulls over her plan afterwards. Before telling her that he didn't want to intrude in her life anymore than he has. Which she replied that she was grateful for everything he has done for her. And that she wanted to return the favor. Rutherford told her to give him a few days to think about it. And days later, he agreed to try out her plan.
