Chapter 2 is here!

"Mom I'm going to school now!" I shouted through the door while doing my final checking to see if all my stuff are here. Can't let my first day in high school go wrong now would we?

Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, well hello everyone! My name is Josh and I live in a little town called Caldeon, which is a town in the northern parts of Canada. You see, nothing exciting ever happens here (excluding the upcoming How to train your dragon convention that is about to happen 5 days from now *squee!!*) But I'm proud to say that I live in this town.

Anyway, Its my first day in High School so I can't mess this up! I reviewed my mental checklist to make sure I have everything I needed for school. Ugh school, why do we need to school anyway? I mean, sure knowledge is power but do we really need to learn all of that? I mean, for example; what is the use of learning History if your course in college will be engineering? Wouldn't that make all the history lessons useless? Ok let's not get off track here. Okay, time for the checklist:

'Well, looks like everything's here. Time for me to go to school.' I zipped my backpack shut and did a few calming breaths. The feeling of nervousness rushing through my veins as I took my first few steps towards the bus that is waiting just outside my house, the driver giving me a smile while tipping his hat, signalling me to climb aboard.

Destination? Dragon Academy Prep. 'Man, why is this school named Dragon Academy Prep anyways? It's not like I'm gonna meet an actual dragon.' I thought as I walked towards the bus.

As I finally took my first step on the stairs of the locomotive transportation, my mom came rushing towards me, panting heavily as she gave me a warm smile and finally hugged me. Blood rose to my cheeks as I was humiliated by my mom hugging me outside in public, the students in the bus giggling uncontrollably, some others awed by the affection that was given to me by my mom.

"Mom..." I whined, trying to get off her death grip, but instead of letting me go, she resumed to press on me tighter. I Just sighed and hugged her back. Don't give me that look, its not everyday you got to hug your mom in your teenage years.

My mom finally let go and wiped a few tears coming out of her eyes. "I'm so proud of you! Your growing up so fast!" She said in a proud tone. "I mean, one moment I was just changing your diapers-" that resulted in a lot of giggles and laughter coming from inside the bus....

''ha ha, MOM! not in front of everyone else please...." I pleaded, my face flushed with embarrassment.

"By the way, you forgot something." My mom gave me her cheerful smile while holding what I assume to be my family's most prized possession.

The Dragon Necklace.

Sure it's not made of gold or diamonds, but it is important to our family. And that is enough reason to make that necklace important to me. That necklace has been with my family for many generations, starting with my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, and a lot more great grandfather, who found the necklace on an expedition in the jungles of the Amazon. I know, my family has a weird history, don't judge me.

Anyway, my mother fastened my necklace on me and waved goodbye before I went in the school bus. This year's gonna be a long school year since nothing new ever happens to this town....yet.

The bus began to move to its destination as I took my seat right next to the window as I stare the moving things that we passed. There, I began to reflect all the fun stuff that I did during this summer and how should I start my whole new experience in this year's Highschool.

As the bus went on moving, I did not notice that the necklace that I had with me glowed dim, but it just disappeared right after I took a look at it when I thought it glowed. I thought it was strange that a necklace would glow just like that, but I guess that the light that reflected from the window did the trick, so I heed it no mind.

  • Scene Change -

The baby dragon that went through the portal found itself in a vast forest. Usually, when children are lost and alone in an unknown place, they would cry, but no. Not this dragon. Instead of crying his heart out, he instead giggled at the pretty butterfly that landed on his nose.

The baby dragon squinted its eyes and looked at the butterfly in its nose before sneezing. The butterfly flew a little bit away, but it landed back on the dragon's.

The baby dragon giggled and tried to blow away the butterfly again, but it would not just go away.

After several attempts sitting there blowing the butterfly away with its nose, the baby dragon didn't notice that more butterflies started appearing out of nowhere and started to land on the giggling baby dragon, who is busy playing with its tiny friend.

Oblivious to his surroundings, the baby dragon hadn't noticed that a feral wolf is looking at him with eyes filled with hunger. It growls as it stalked closer to its prey.

The butterflies that the baby dragon had been playing flew away much to the dragon's dismay. He heard growling from behind him and turned around, only for him to see the wolf. The wolf bared it's fangs as it walks closer to the baby dragon, which in return, just looked at the wolf with much curiosity than fear.

The baby dragon, now facing full body on the wolf, seems to giggle as he tried to imitate the growls of the wolf but failed, much to the wolf's confusion. The baby dragon then did something that surprised the wolf.

He inhaled a big breath of air, and then let out an ear piercing roar.

The roar was so loud it shook al the trees of forest, making all the birds flew away in terror from the terrifying roar.

The wolf, almost peed himself, looked at the dragon with fear as it run away like his life dependent on it, not knowing that the baby dragon fell to the ground and giggled with his accomplishment of his roar.

The baby dragon finally stopped giggling and looked around. It seems he was alone, and the silence starts to get to him. With that, he starts to walk in an random direction that leads to a road where he happily looked around the vast forest with such pure curiosity and innocence.

  • Scene Change -

"WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!" One of my classmates said while the driver on the bus lost its control after an ear piercing roar reverberated along the forest below us as we happen to be on the mountain road towards our destination.

"Everybody! Just calm down and do not panic---- LEDGE!!!!!" One of my classmates screamed as we followed where he pointed his index finger towards the side rails of the mountain.

"WE ARE GONNA DIE!" One of the girls of the bus said.

Everybody starts to jimmy the bus door open but to no avail. The bus driver, after seeing the ledge passed out. And me? I'm just sitting there doing nothing while my classmates are panicking---

"WHY ARE YOU SITTING THERE SO CALM?! WE ARE ABOUT TO DIE!" One of the student said as he shook me from left to right. I pushed him out of my way and just fastened my seatbelt tighter.

Almost everybody started to scream as the bus finally broke through the railings, time seems to slow down as the bust starts to fall, only for it to land quickly and starts to move slower down the mountain to the forest below.

" Oww. Wah, what just happened?" One of the student says as the bus finally stopped right after it hit a tree.

"We went off-road and fell to the forest that's what. Seriously guys, what is wrong with you?" I stated calmly as I started to unfasten my seatbelt.

"What's wrong with us?! What's wrong with you?! How come you were so calm in the situation we were going through?!" He stand up, but feel woozy after the rough tumble that we went down the mountain.

"In situations like those, what would be the good in panicking?" I stated as a matter of fact.

Almost all of the students eyes were on me as I started to get creeped out of their staring. Finally, after what seems to be a five minute staring, the girl that screamed from before pointed an accusing finger towards me.

"Are you saying that we are all idiots that we panicked when we fell off that mountain that high?!" The girl was then held back by her friends as I raised my hands towards my chest as a sign of defending myself.

"Uhh, we fell only 5 meters high...." I said confusingly.

Almost all of my classmates looked at me with neutral faces then blushed when they noticed that the fall was just small. The driver starts to regain consciousness as he looked around us confusingly.

"What happened?"

I sighed as me and an other few students get him to stand up safely and looking for any injuries. None was found whatsoever. Now the problem is, how are we gonna get to school in this particular situation?

One of the students cursed himself and we looked at him with confusion. He looked at us and showed us his phone.

"No signal. Guess we're stuck for a while here." He said bitterly.

Well that's just great. Now what?

The driver then pushed the button that opens the doors of the bus and one by one, we came out in an orderly fashion.

One of the girls approached me and looks down to the ground while mumbling something which I do not quite understand.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" I asked.

"I said I am sorry. Hmph!" She stomped her way back to a group of girls who, amazingly I might add, did a synchronized facepalm at her failed apology.

I just shook my head and decided to walk a bit into the forest. Help may arrive for half an our so I better take this opportunity and explore this place.

Of course, leaving the group and go wander by myself in a vast forest is dangerous especially if you only have your backpack and school supplies but.... I always wanted to explore the wilderness out there.

My parents couldn't afford to let me join most of the school activities like outing and camping. The only school activities that joined are those that can give me big grades. Whenever I heard some students that said they had fun camping and hanging out with friends, I kinda envy them. I mean, I do have friends but.... let's just say I am the only one that could see them.

I'm just a simple boy who wants to finish school and help my parents from their hardships so we could live a comfortable life and that is what I want. At least, that is what I think I do want. But, after thinking about it during these last few days, I want something amazing to happen. Something extraordinary that is out of the norm. I want some exciting in my life.

Of course, since I was busy having a inner monologue with myself, I didn't noticed that I tripped over something and I fell first face on the grassy ground. Good thing that it is just grass, I don't want to have a headache after this day has started.

I heard a whimper from behind me and a strange cry. It seem that whatever I trip wasn't a thing, but a living thing.

I stood up and wiped any dirt that is on my face and looked at my trip causer.

Is there a word that is a mix feeling of exciting, afraid, and possibly confusion? Cause that is what I am feeling right now.

After I rub my eyes and take a good look at who is responsible for my trip, it turns out that the one responsible is actually a white lizard with wings, in other words, a dragon.

Of course, being a boy who is always at the side of Science, I must make sure that it must be a dragon and not some kind of rare white lizard who, strangely enough has white bumps in its head which I assume it's its horns, and has wings that seems to be connected at it back. Not to mention that it's claws is totally not that kind of claws that I ever seen in a lizard, and the tail.

Ok, I am probably losing my mind right now. There is no way that this is a dragon. I mean, dragons don't exist! They are just the creations of the mind of human beings! A myth! A game character like Spyro the dragon or a movie character like Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon! There is no way that this is real! It must have been some kind of prank. Yeah! That's it! It must be! But, what kind of person would prank me by letting lose a lizard who is in a dragon costume, one that is very convincing I might add, in the middle of the forest? Come to think of it, where is everyone?

I was suddenly broke out of my inner state of mind d when the white lizard sneezed. I noticed that It was just standing there, observing me. Ok. That is totally creepy, shouldn't lizard be scared of humans?

Now that I think of it, the size of this lizard is way to big for a common lizard, and way to small for a Komodo dragon.

I looked at the lizard again, only for it to be gone. I thought that it ran away, but then I felt something heavy behind me, and a small puff of breath.

'Please don't tell me that the lizard just hitched a ride at my backpack.' I thought when I suddenly felt something nuzzling on my neck.

  • Scene Change -

The baby dragon noticed that the tall figure looked at him weirdly and the baby dragon just continued nuzzling. The creatures skin was really soft. So soft that the dragon couldn't resist nuzzling it more, much to the humans irritation.

"Look, um.... dragon? Could you please stop?" The human weakly said.

The baby dragon of course, didn't understand every word that the human said, it just nuzzled the human more to the point where the human tried to pry the baby from him and put the baby dragon to the ground.

The baby dragon gave the human the most saddest, and the most cutest pouty face that can rival this world's most cutest faces.

The human, tried to look away, but couldn't. He is to fixated at the baby dragon's trembling face, its pouty lips, and its watery eyes.

  • Scene Change -

'Why is this thing so goddamn cute?!' I tried to look away but I couldn't. The dragon's power of cuteness is too powerful for my logically induced mind. My willpower is fading and I could sense a 'daww' coming from inside me.

Just to let you know, I am a not a big fan of cute things, but there is something about this baby dragon that makes me wanna hug it, and squeeze it, and never let it go!

The baby dragon stopped it's cute pouty face, much to my relief, and instead what wobbled towards me and nuzzles my leg.

'Okay, does this dragon can get any cuter?!' I internally shouted.

The baby dragon then stand up in its hind legs and rose his from one's which I assume that it must be trying to tell me that it wants me to carry it.

Or it must be doing some weird baby dragon dances because right now, it is trying to walk in its hind legs but ended up falling into fours-- oh! It must be trying to mimick me by walking in two legs! Cute.

"Okay, c'mere little one." I gently took hold of the baby dragon in its waist, (I still couldn't believe that I am seeing a dragon, let alone hold one) and gently carry it as like I was carrying a small and cute little puppy, minus the puppy part. Its scales is unusually soft than other reptiles that I touched, its claws aren't even that sharp, just whittle tiny bwumps in its paws....

Wow, I can't believe that I just said 'whittle tiny bwumps'.

Anyway, as I gently carry the dragon with me, I noticed that the forest was unusually quiet around us. Not one sound did I hear except my breathing. Not even the crickets, the chirping of the birds, and even the squeeks of the squirrels. Okay something is definitely off.

I looked at the dragon and saw that it is playing with my necklace, it looked at it with facination and wonder as it tried to grab it clumsily with its paws.

I smiled, but kept my guard up. Something about the silence of the forest has made me uneasy, and believe me, this level of silence is what you expect in some classic forest horror movies or something close to that.

Of course, staying here would be a bad idea, and believe me, I would love to go and find my way back to the others, but how? How can I find the path that could actually lead me to them? Not to mention, should I bring this baby dragon along with me? This might cause a lot of problems for me and the baby, and that is the least of my worries.

Looking at my watch, the tow truck probably should have arrived by now. And possibly, an alternative form of transportation should have gotten the students to school already. Great.

My first day of highschool, and I am already late for it. I can't just walk 35 kilometers to school and say, 'Hey everyone, sorry I'm late, I got lost in the forest and found a baby dragon which held me against my will by using its weaponized adorableness'.

With a sigh, I hesitated whether I should abandon the baby dragon here and go find a way out of this forest. I don't wanna be held responsible when something bad happens to the baby dragon.

Wait....

"Your a baby dragon." I said, looking wide eyed at the baby dragon who stopped playing with my necklace and brought it's attention to me.

"Bwah?" It says. Damn, that is just too cute.... Focus Dangit!

"If your a baby dragon.... Then that must mean...." As if on cue, another loud roar echoed through the entire forest. It shook some of the trees and making its leave fell and a lot of it covered me. I shook the leaves off while the baby dragon just giggled at my antics. I looked at the baby dragon in horror as realization kicks in. I am holding what I assume is the baby dragon of an adult dragon. Dun dun dun. I'm dead.

'Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit!' I mentally cursed. (What? I can't curse right in front of a child, that would be wrong.)

I put the baby to the ground, the dragon looking at me in confusion. Of course, I couldn't just leave this dragon vulnerable in a forest with the possibility of predators behind. But the meer thought of getting mauled by a gigantic dragon sent shivers to my spine.

I started to walk to the opposite direction of where the roar is when I felt a tug at my jeans.

The baby dragon bit the fabric of my jeans (thankfully it didn't bit the skin). Once it noticed that I was looking at it, it let go of me and nuzzles my leg affectionately.

There are three things that is running on my mind right now. One is the rising fear of being found by the mother or father of said baby dragon, the other is the cuteness overload of the dragon that is nuzzling my leg, and the other one is the worry of how should I face my parents when they found out that I missed school in my first day and why I brought home a friendly little dragon.

Another roar echoed throughout the forest, and this one is closer than it was before. I am so screwed.

So with a heavy heart, I tricked the dragon into believing that I was playing with it by throwing a stick for it to catch. Once it is far away far away from me, with a heavy heart, I took this opportunity to run away as fast as I could. I could hear the cries of the baby dragon, but I tried to shut it off from my mind. For now, my life is on the line if I stayed with that dragon any longer.

' I need to get myself far away from here.'

I ran fast, so fast that I didn't noticed that I ran into a clearing in the forest. I looked around me and saw a small pond right in the middle of the clearing.

I took a seat at a shady spot of a tree and let out a heavy sigh. I forgot that I am an indoor person and running away from the dragon took a lot from me.

As I was relaxing at the cool shade of breeze, I saw something white and faint in the pond right in front of me. Of course it could have been my vision playing tricks on me because of fatigue, but I could've sworn that the blur somewhat resembles a dragon.

Another roar echoed through as I snapped back to reality, my adrenaline from before returning.

I heard a yelp behind me and saw the little baby dragon from before, although, it looked a bit.... Scared? Yeah, scared would be the right term for now.

It eagerly hug itself around my chest at it kept purring like a kitten nonstop.

"Why did you follow me?" I asked, although I'm pretty sure that I will not get a response from it when I noticed something in its side. Blood. I saw blood trickling in its side, the wound not to big to let out a lot of blood and when I touched it, the baby dragon yelped in pain and continued to hug me even tighter.

'What the....' Was all that I could think about when the trees right near the end of the pond suddenly went flying and out came a scary, big black dragon.

The baby dragon that is in my chest cried out in fear and hugged my chest even tighter, of course, the black dragon heard the cry and looked at me and saw that I was with the baby.

The black dragon smiled wickedly as it stalked closer to me.

"Okay little fella! Time to go! Go meet your mommy! Or daddy?" I said, really terrified. The black dragon from before starts to growl really loud as it walked closer to me and the baby.

The baby looked at me in fear and into the black dragon and it yelped. It hugged me even tighter as I struggle to stand up and tried to gain distance from the black dragon, but with what I am carrying with me and the fact that I was tired from before didn't do much.

It wasn't long until the dragon had pinned me and the baby dragon in a corner, it's red glowing eyes looked wicked as it give us a really evil looking smile. Then what happens next has made me look at the dragon with surprise.

"Give me the hatchling. Now." Was all he said with putting emphasis on the word 'now'.

Of course normally in situations like this I would happily obliged to give anything as long as it keeps me out from harm's way, but by the way that the baby dragon looked at the older one with fear and hugged my even tighter made me think twice if this is what I should do.

I hesitated for a moment when the dragon suddenly roared, it's patience seems to have gone and tried to slash us, but I managed to dodge it by doing a barrel role and ran away from it.

Of course, running was futile since the dragon can easily catch us when it can fly. A few seconds later, it trapped us in a corner again and I was really tired from carrying the baby dragon with me who started crying and hugging me tightly.

'Okay, I am starting to think that he is not your daddy.' I thought grimly as the dragon that was about to slash me with its deadly claw suddenly roared in pain.

I was confused as why the black dragon was in pain, the same can be said to the baby dragon as I saw something moving behind the dragon.

The dragon that I saw from before in the lakeside is not so blurry anymore and I could see that it has bitten the tail of the dragon.

The dragon looked behind him, his glowing red eyes filled with annoyance as he was interrupted into claiming his prize.

The white dragon let go of the tail and shouted at me. "Run! Get away from here!" Was all that he could say before the dragon tackled him to the ground and tried to bite the white dragon's head off. The white dragon tried to fight back by slashing it with its claws but it did nothing as the black dragon suddenly turns into a inky cloud of dust and envelops the white dragon.

After that, the black cloud reforms into the black dragon again, only this time, its tail was rapped around the neck of its opponent, the white dragon tried to claw itself free but the strength of the black dragon is too much for him.

I was to busy fixated on the fight that I never noticed the baby dragon left me and wobbled its way to the two dragons. When I noticed that he was gone he is already in front of the struggling white dragon with its constrictor.

"Son.... Get Away From... Here!" The white dragon what I assume to be his father (for reals this time because he protected us from death and the fact that the called that baby dragon 'son') looked at his son and then at me. I can clearly see it in his eyes that he begs me to do something, anything to get that hatchling away from danger.

'Dangit, me and my moral code....' I ran towards the baby dragon when the black dragon that was wrestling the white dragon noticed me. The black dragon then started to gather an inky black ball of energy in its maw and aims it towards the baby white dragon.

I'm pretty sure I know what will happen next if that dragon is gonna do what I think he's gonna do.

The black dragon then threw a shadow ball (not a Pokémon move!) towards the baby.

Time seemed to slowed down as the ball went towards the baby in a slow motion kind of way. I was a mere meter away from the baby, yet the fast approaching shadow ball is gaining its distance. I feel helpless. For the first time in my life, I feel like my uselessness will become the death of someone.

At least, that is what I thought, until the baby dragon suddenly glowed and then what stood between him and the incoming attack is what looks like the Pokémon move Protect. Okay, this is getting really weird. Since when has this become a Pokémon battle?

The black dragon was shocked that his attack just got shut down by a baby, nonetheless, he tried to power another attack, only for his maw to get headbutted by the white dragon's horns.

That simple attack managed to weaken the black dragon's hold on the white dragon and ran towards us. The baby dragon from before smiled - which kinda bothers me, - and suddenly started glowing.

'Oh no, please tell me it's not another Pokémon move.' I thought as I just stand on a safe distance that is not to far from the baby dragon in case something went wrong.

The white dragon from before notices it's hatchling powering up a new move and smiled. The same cannot be said to the black dragon though, as it widened its eyes and muttered something in the corner of it muzzle.

The white dragon's horns started to glow and what formed between its two horns is what I assume a glowing sphere of light.

I noticed that the baby dragon also did the same move as it's father, both father and child looked at the black dragon with determined smiles on their faces while the black dragon looked at the three of us in rage.

It roared loudly and starts to gather something in its maw. The black dragon is powering up another attack, only this time, its body started to fade and its eyes are glowing red, crimson electricity can be seen coursing throughout its body as the ball of shadow energy in its maw got tiny.

The white dragons charged attack suddenly glowed so bright that I had to cover my eyes and squint at the two. The father looked at his some and give him a nod before looking at the black dragon which by the looks of it, has almost faded.

'Oh goody! Looks like we've got a classic Kamehameha showdown? I wonder who will win?' I thought sarcastically.

The adult white dragon looked at me in the corner of its eyes. I was a bit disturbed by this when I felt a tiny headache in me and a voice in my head.

'Get to cover! Now!' The voice in my head said.

I looked at the dragon who nods at me and motions me to hide. I was totally confused on how he did it but I just told myself that it was just magic.

So I ran and hid myself behind a big rock in a safe distance where I could see the showdown.

Violent gusts of wind suddenly appeared out of nowhere and starts to surround the three dragons, the black dragon is a lot faded and too hard to be seen and that its ball of shadow is surrounded by a swirling mix of dark clouds.

The adult white dragon now glowing even brighter than ever before suddenly roared while the baby just just smiled.

At once, both sides of the fighters let loose their pent up energy.

The beams clashed into each other resulting a shockwave that almost blown me away. I tried to take a peek from my hiding spot and was surprised that the black dragon is winning.

I can see that the older white dragon seems to be tired and trying to give it his all. The hatchling is looking way fatigue.

The black dragon's body is almost gone, it became really transparent as I could see the trees through him.

'If this continues, then the black dragon might win by taking away its life.... ' I looked at the white dragon's and noticed that the baby collapsed in the ground.

'Take the hatchling! Please!' The dragon's voice echoed through my head.

"What about you?!" I shouted.

'Do not worry about me. Just get him somewhere safe!' The white dragon started to glow as its beam suddenly intensifies. It began pushing its way towards the other dragon who's tail is faded and it's spreading towards its body.

I ran quickly towards the baby dragon. There, I noticed that its bleeding has stopped but he feels so cold. I looked at the white dragon who's body starts to fade by amplifying its beam.

'It must be using its life force to charge his attack.'

I looked around me and try to find something useful that can help the white dragon but all that I can see is a few rocks and a bunch of twigs and leaves.

' Creature, listen to me. ' I heard the dragon's voice in my head. ' Do you seen that necklace my hatchling is wearing?'

I looked at the baby dragon and indeed I saw a necklace.

' Take it and come here. ' It Commanded

"What! Why?!" I shouted with worry.

' Just trust me! ' It's voice shouted in my head frantically as the dragon began to get push back by the black dragon's beam.

I looked at the baby dragon cradled in my arms and clumsily took of its necklace making the dragon woke up from its nap and looked at me with a yawn.

I gently laid the dragon in the ground while running towards the white dragon while covering my eyes with my other hand due to the strong gist of wind that is surrounding the battle.

"Now what?!" I shouted between pants. I was now beside the dragon who looked at me in the corner with its eyes but continued to held on of its beam of light.

' Let the necklace make contact with me while holding your arm out. ' It explained. I looked at the necklace which is glowing dimly and let it touch the dragon while holding out my hand.

Suddenly, I feel a strange surge within me as I feel so energetic out of nowhere.

"What did you do to?" I asked albeit, a little bit excited.

' What is your name? ' The dragon's voice asked in my head.

"Umm.... Josh. Why?" I looked at the dragon who's body is about to disappear.

'Josh, listen.' The necklace began to float towards me and somehow fused with the necklace that I am wearing.

' I am putting a lot of trust in you. ' It is blurry, but I could see a single tear roll down the dragon's cheeks.

"Wha-what are you saying?" I noticed that the dragon began to push forward whilst fading faster.

'Listen Josh, my hatchling is the only dragon of your world. Protect him from harm and take care of him.' The dragon was mere inches away from the black dragon as I stood there frozen, realising what the dragon is about to say.

'Love him as you would love a brother. ' The dragon began take hold of the black dragon's faded arm as their attack started to fuse.

I heard a cry behind me as I turn around and noticed the baby dragon running towards it father.

I tried to reach out to the baby, but it ran too fast, but luckily, his father created an invisible wall between him and his son.

The hatchling tried headbutting the wall but it was futile. After a few attempts, the baby just stared at the dragon as the voice of the father says something in my head.

' Good-bye. ' the dragon then began to glow bright as the area around as violently shook. I looked at the scene where the dragon's where, only to see a black sphere floating in mid air before it shot through the sky. Moments later, the sphere exploded, sending violent shockwaves throughout the forest and possibly the city as I ran towards the baby dragon and hugged it which is crying from the violent explosion.

A few minutes later, I looked around me and noticed that some of the trees and plants are either bent or broken and some of those landed near my head and around us.

"That was close." I looked up and gaped at what I saw. The aftermath of the explosion at the sky made it clear that there are no clouds left to be seen.

I could feel something shifting under me and I looked and saw the baby dragon looking at me with its cute eyes.

I mentally sighed. How did I got dragged into this situation? I mean, I just got forced into taking care of a baby dragon! This is not like an Eragon or How to Train your Dragon Reference! This is real life! Dangit.

I stood up and dust myself as I looked at the baby dragon who just sit there, eyeing me as if I'm gonna do something.

"What?" I asked the hatchling. The hatchling wobbled towards me and starts rubbing it's head at my leg. It began purring as I resist the urge to hug and squeeze it to death.

"Seriously, after all that just happened, you still want to cuddle me?" I asked with a smile. I gently picked up the baby dragon by its waist and cradled it in my arms. I looked around the chaotic place and started to walk in a particular direction with no destination in mind. I just wanna get out of here for goodness sake. After all what happened, I don't think I ever want to go to school.

So as I walk deeper at the forest with the baby dragon clutched in my arms, I never noticed the faint silhouette of the white dragon as it smiled at me while it vanished through thin air.

End of chapter.
