#2 of Thunder!

Second short continuation of this little fluff piece i'm working on due to (semi) popular demand.

Drop a fave or watch if you're enjoying this or if you just wanna make me grin.

"You're stuck," James pointed out with a deadpan tone, giving Percy's head a couple of rubs. Percy grunted a bit and tried to wiggle out, trying to snake himself out of the trap he'd wiggled into, but he was, indeed, thoroughly stuck.

James grinned back at him, humming under his breath innocently. "Y'know... you got yourself into this. Either way, I don't know why you're trying to get out, you're right where you belong, mutt."

"Ughh, lemme out, please? I'm gonna die again..." the husky whined, still trying to get out, still failing miserably. James' arm was tight around his neck, squishing him in place with no hopes of escape.

The bernese giggled, leaning down to plant a kiss in between Percy's ears. The sound of his tail could be heard thumping rhythmically against the couch's legs, his glee all too evident as he said, "I thought you wanted my attention without playing Minecraft.. and here I am offering you alternatives, giving extra rewards to my bratty pup."

"I guess I'll have to go back to consequences instead of rewards again, although I know your mind seems to think the two are... interchangeable," he huffed out, his warm breath hitting right in the middle of his husky's head, spreading out on impact and rushing all over his forehead and cheeks, mirroring the heat of Percy's blush as it filled his cheeks with its dead giveaway of guilty enjoyment-- not that Percy ever did a good job of hiding it. His whole body seemed to tense up every time James breathed onto him, muscles clenched vice-tight in embarrassed anticipation and pleasure, the smells of his lover's puppy breath and musk the only things he breathed in.

"James?" he said, shaking his head a little bit and trying to look up at the Bernese, brows furrowed in towards the base of his snout.

His partner nodded at him. That head of his had tilted to the side in a dorky headcock of inquisition.

"I just- I know you've been wanting to do this for a while, no matter how much you tease about it, and I don't want to bitch and mess it up, even if I'm enjoying your alternatives," he whined, obviously embarrassed but wanting to get that out.

James' eyes glimmered with kindness as he let the dog out, nodding a couple times. He understood what Percy was getting at and knew how good it would make his partner feel if he was grateful for that-- and it was true either way. They'd been waiting for their schedules to line up for the past few months, and this was the first time they'd had a reeeally long time together in a while. Of course, they would fall asleep curled up with each other, and if they really wanted to they probably could've stayed up for a night or two to game-- with one issue. A while back, Percy had promised that he would get good sleep, and the puppylike side of him had kept that promise since the day it had been made, taking huge pride every time he woke up refreshed and content.

Not that it was hard to sleep anymore, there wasn't much else he could do when his body was meshed tight to James' chest and lap, his master's legs wrapped around his waist and a paw draped possessively on his chest. Usually, he'd be wiped from writing or jogging and he'd have been looking forward to those warm breaths in his ear since around lunch. It was special, always.

Percy's tail wagged as he pulled himself out of James' embrace, opting to lay down with his back up against the bernese's side instead, throwing himself back into their game with renewed enthusiasm. He didn't really dislike it, of course, it was never about how well he performed in game, it was about the time spent. Well, unless it was any sort of shooter or competitive game. The few times they'd sat down to play counterstrike together, he'd taken every chance he could to prove his ability to James, going off on crazy little stints that usually ended up winning the round for their team. He was just-- good at them.

His tail wagged some more as he felt James' paw settle on his head, ruffling the fur there with a few caring pats. It really was a perfect evening for the two of them-- even if James didn't enjoy being wet, the cathartic tapping of the rain outside was especially soothing. He almost wished that they weren't spending the evening playing some dumb game when they could just be curled up in bed, watching TV or something. He thought about piping up, but he didn't want to risk making Percy think that he had done something wrong or disappointed James. Besides, this was still nice.
