So, I decided to rework my Wildecest story and turn it into one rich with plot and build up. Nick and Judy are much younger, but Nick is still older than Judy, in order to make this thing work. It will have some minor horror stuff in it (I'll work that out somehow) and will contain incest. Don't like, don't read.

Now, without further ado, enjoy the small prologue I wrote up. Self-edited by yours truly and with the help of Grammarly.

Nick and Judy have saved the city. Now that Bellwether is behind bars, it's time for everyone to relax and move on with their day. But that wasn't the case for Nick Wilde. He has so much to do in preparation for his police training at the ZPA (Zootopia Police Academy). Then he has a brilliant idea. What if he were to recruit another fox? Namely his own mother? What shenanigans can a mother and her son get into as cops? A lot of things, actually. Including some fundamental sketchy topics and delusional Bellwether supporters who seek to carry out and finish the work she started.

Rated MA for language, violence, innuendo, scary scenes, and other unsuitable stuff for children.

Allison Wilde was a woman of many things. A divorcee, a hard-working individual in the sprawling city of Zootopia, an outcast to society, and a single mother. Being a vixen, in a world where predators were seen as monsters and a ticking time bomb, she never received the best treatment from other mammals, be they predators of prey. And as a mother, Allison had a duty to perform. But even at that, she felt like she failed, not only herself but her son as well.

Ever since that fateful night, when Nick had his optimistic view of the harsh world around him shattered, Allison could sense him drifting away from her. The rift between them only grew as Nick entered his teenage years. From seemingly harmless scams to downright illegal marketing - although, she had to admit that the popsicle bit was kind of ingenious in a way.

And then, when he left her and avoided her for nearly ten years, Allison's resolve broke, and she became a recluse to society. She avoided her friends, quit her job, and withdrew into her own personal world of grief and shame. Allison never left the house for several years, save for her job as a waitress and grocery shopping. She barely managed to get by, even when she received envelopes full of cash, which were earnings she knew were not obtained honestly.

Life appeared bleak and grey for Allison Wilde. She had lost her son, quit her job as a telephone line worker, and was literally scraping the bottom of the pan for enough money to live off of. The vixen occasionally entertained the idea of...letting go...before shoving the thought to the side with self-disgust.

Then, the anti-predator movement started and began spreading like wildfire. Allison ignored the news in general, as she had no fancy of listening to gossip. But when she heard that predators, large and small, had first started to disappear with no explanation, she grew concerned - worried that her little Nicky might be one of them. As more civil unrest settled onto the prey population of Zootopia, Allison knew she had to do something before she became a victim of extreme prejudice.

And then, everything just... stopped suddenly. Two months after the protests had started, they were silenced, and peace was relatively restored. It was later revealed that the missing predators and the 'attacks' were part of a plot by former Mayor Bellwether to spark an anti-predator uprising and stir fear into the hearts of the prey population. It almost worked, but she was foiled by the world's first bunny cop and--

"Nicky?"

Allison Wilde fell from the couch and crawled towards the television when she saw the tod appear on the screen. Tall, handsome, and with a sarcastic aura permeating from how he stood and walked, Nick Wilde looked radically different from the young kit and broken teenager Allison knew ten years ago. He was... grown up . Nick supported the rabbit cop with an arm wrapped around her shoulder as she limped down the stairs before being lifted onto a gurney. After the bunny was shipped to the nearest hospital, the reporter covering the event approached and interviewed him.

When he spoke, his voice was calm and collected, a far cry from how snarky he was the last time Allison saw him. It also captivated the matronly vixen and sent shivers down her spine. At the time, she didn't think anything of it. Only one thought filled her mind as she broke down into tears of joy:

Her little boy, her sweet Nicky,_ had saved the city_ .

Two days later...

Knock-knock-knock!

Allison looked up from her book and at the door to her apartment. She frowned, as she wasn't expecting anyone to come to her home. Perhaps it was one of her old friends here to surprise her or something. Whatever the case, and whoever it was, Allison had to answer the door. With a sigh, she closed her book, set it down on the coffee table, got up from the couch, and walked to the door. After undoing the many padlocks - she was a bit 'overprepared' during the protests - she opened the door and was in for a shock.

Standing before her was Nicholas P. Wilde.

"Hey, mom," he said, smiling widely. His eyes, however, betrayed his true emotions. They were glazed with unshed tears, no doubt from the sight of his mother, whom he hadn't seen in a long time. Allison returned the sentiment, a sob escaping from her throat. Allison tackled the tod into the opposite wall and cried into his shirt, catching him off-guard.

With mother and son finally reunited, the two foxes spent the rest of the week catching up with one another.

As she listened to her son's hilarious - if somewhat harrowing - adventure with Judy (the bunny cop), Allison felt a smile creep along her muzzle, and a warmth spread throughout her body. It was a sensation she hadn't experienced since the day she gave birth to Nick, and it made her feel happy, happier than ever before. Life couldn't get any better than this.

Then he surprised her, in the form of a yellow slip of paper: an application to the ZPD. She was surprised, ecstatic even. Then her celebratory spirits faded, and her smile fell.

There were two slips of paper.

At first, she thought he'd grabbed two by mistake. Then she saw that one had his name on it; it was completely filled out to the finest detail. As for the other application...

_Name: Allison Wilde. _

Age: 37

Sex: F

Species: Red Fox (Vulpes Vulpes)

Current occupation: Waitress

She looked up at him with disbelief in her eyes, while Nick stared at her with a massive grin. "It'll pay more than that job at the diner, mom," he reasoned. And as much as she wanted to decline and say that police work wasn't for someone like her, Allison wasn't one to back down from a challenge such as this.

Before becoming pregnant with Nick in high school, she had plans to become a cop, the first fox cop. Then that wolf came along and knocked her up, throwing a wrench into her future plans. But she couldn't have asked for a better blessing than her son, Nick. Even if it meant she had to delay or not achieve her dreams, Allison would give Nick the best life possible. In a way, that worked out for the better. And now, here she was, sitting in front of her son with two applications on the coffee table, debating with herself on whether or not she should pursue her dreams once more.

Let's just say that her decision wasn't that hard to make.

The next day, the two of them walked into Precinct One and turned in the forms to the bubbly cheetah known as Clawhauser. If they were to be accepted, the two foxes had a month to prepare for the strenuous activities and challenges they'd face at the academy. But at least Nick and Allison would have each other's backs, no matter what happens...
