As the title says, this is not the sixth chapter i know some have been waiting a long time for, and I know I should probably be putting this in a journal post but...I figured this would probably be seen more than a journal entry.

First, an explanation of what's been going on in my life the past 5/6 years:

In 2014, after the god awful conclusion of Transformers Prime, my interest in the franchise as a whole pretty much evaporated. Transformers prime was my first real dive back into the franchise following the frankly horrible "Transformers: Energon" which i think nobody even talks about, hell, I was watching a livestream on twitch the other week, and a representative of Hasbro themselves even said "The less said about that [TF: Energon], the better." so that should tell you exactly how that particular trilogy is regarded, even by Hasbro, and prior to that, my only real contact with the TF franchise had been G1 era, so I pretty much skipped Beast Wars/Machines and Armada, Animated and RID. And yes, I took one look at the 2015 RID that followed Prime and immediately turned my back.

It wasn't helped by the fact that as of now, Chapter 6 of Jack's Girls is about 9000 or so words long, and I pretty much wrote myself into a corner, and just couldn't find the drive, or the inspiration, to find a good way to get myself out of it. Note to self: Never write a three-way set in a cramped public space. Lesson learned.

Another issue was that, at the time, I didn't have a proper story plot outline written, or a proper timeline for story events, so as the years passed and i slowly worked on each chapter, I quickly lost track of the story's internal 'calendar', and I quickly realized everything was becoming a mess.

Then in mid 2014, my grandmother on my mum's side passed away from cancer, and that pretty much slammed the brakes on my creative drive entirely. 14 months later, we lost my grandfather on my mum's side, that we did not see coming.

Fast forward 4 years to 2019, and I finally tried to get back into writing, this time in the Harry Potter fandom, one of the few fandoms i've actually managed to stick with over the last 15 years of my reading/writing fanfiction, over on ArchiveofOurOwn under the username Grim_T_Reaper, look for "Harry Potter and the Gift of Aphrodite". I also managed to get a girlfriend, who I will be celebrating my fifth anniversary with this December.

Over the years, I've received many questions regarding the status/fate of Jack's Girls, both here and over on Hentai-Foundry, asking me if the story was abandoned. My answer has always been "No", and I intend to try and stick to that. To that effect, I've decided to try and rewrite Jack's Girls, and maybe post it over on ArchiveOfOurOwn, where I'm posting pretty much all of my now in-progress works, as for whether or not I'll also post here and on HF, I'm not sure yet. If I do post the rewrite to a site other than here, I WILL be posting a link to it.

Also, the original author for Jack's Girls, whom I originally adopted the story from, reposted his original version (Jack's Girlfriends) over on AO3, and seemed to have been well received, I was initially hesitant to post Jack's Girls there, but I'm now considering putting the rewrite at least on there.

So, after reading all that, you may be thinking, what are my plans for the rewrite? Well, I've got two possible versions in my head, with slight variations of both:

1.1 A more cohesive, fleshed out version of the original, set during season 2, and will pretty much ignore season 3 entirely, and will start more or less the same as the original did, with Jack and Miko messing around with one of Ratchet's experiments.

1.2 Same as the first, idea, but involves Jack and Miko (and maybe Arcee) being exposed to an energy discharge from a Cybertronian device in a Con Energon Mine, that has the same effect as the Pink Energon from the first version of this story (and the original), as apposed to Jack and Miko screwing around with something they shouldn't.

2.1 Set sometime during season 2/3. The Decepticons release a nano-virus into Earth's atmosphere designed to target humans, and kill them off, but due to a mistake, only humans with the Y chromosome are affected. Jack, Raf and a handful of others are placed in stasis to avoid the plague. Fast forward a few years, and Jack and Raf are revived after being given an experimental treatment to make them immune to the virus, and soon find that they're the most valuable 'resource' on earth: As breeding stock.

2.2 Similar to the above, except, it occurs after Predicons Rising.

3 Merge two of the above options into a single story.

You may be wondering what gave me the idea for options 2.1 and 2.2, well, I recently discovered a Japanese manga (there's an English translation) called Worlds End Harem, which follows the concept of a small group of men waking up after 5 years in cryosleep, only to find out they're the last men alive in a world ruled by women, and they're now extremely valuable as breeding stock.

Actually, I've kind of already started drafting scenes for one of the #2 options, so I guess I could do a scene for each option, and depending on how you guys vote, that'll decide which one I go with.
