It was a cool autumn day, and the leaves were starting to change color giving the forest a bright orange color. The only sounds that could be heard was the wind rustling the leaves save for the sound of a young girl snoring.

The source of the snoring could be found in a small village that bordered the forest. Specifically in the general store of the village was the young girl sleeping on the counter; her blue hair was covering her face. As the young girl slept a middle aged hyena walked up behind her and poked the back of her neck.

"Faylon wake up." the man said as he poked the girl's scaly neck. The blue scales were soft to the touch as it they were reptilian scales.

The young girl moved slightly as she was poked. "Give me a few more minutes..." She said laying her head into her arms. Faylon's tail swayed slightly from the dream she was having.

The hyena growled softly, and then reached towards Faylon's head. He grabbed at the two small horns on her head. "Faylon Tor!! Wake up now or you're fired!!!" He yelled tugging at her horns

Faylon whined softly as her horns were tugged upon. "Alright I'm up Hivis." she said grabbing at his arms and pulled them off of her hirms. "I'm sorry for falling asleep, but I had a rough night..." she said yawning softly.

Hivis sighed and then shook his head. "Regardless I can't have you sleeping on the job," he said sitting down next to Faylon. "But since this was tour first time doing it I'll let it slice you silly dragon."

Faylon blinked. "Really?" she then hugged Hivis. "Thank you. You're the best." She said nuzzling his fur.

Hivis smiled and hugged back. He then looked out the window and noticed the sun was starting to set. "Faylon I'll take the rest of your shift." he said patting the dragon's head. "Go home and get some rest."

Faylon yawned and got up. "Thanks. I promise I'll do better tomorrow." She said as she hopped over the counter, and walked out the door. Little did Faylon know that day wouldn't be coming.

It was a few minutes later when Faylon got home, and opened the door. "I'm home mom!" she said as he closed the door. Faylon walked towards the Kitchen. "What are you cooking?"

Faylon's mother looked behind her and smiled at her daughter. "I'm cooking a few steaks." She said giving Faylon a quick hug before going back to her cooking. "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes."

Faylon nodded and walked out of the kitchen into the living room. She then laid down on the floor, and folded her wings upon her self as she closed her eyes to sleep.

It was a few minutes later when Faylon's mother went to wake her up. "Dinner is ready." she said softly shaking Faylon's shoulder.

Faylon yawned as she woke up. "Ok mom." she said as she got up. She then walked into the dinning room and sat down. Faylon then began to eat her steak. "Mmm the steaks are good/" She said taking another bite.

The dragoness' mother smiled. "Good. I was afraid I wasn't going to cook the meat right since I never cooked moose before. So how was your day?"

Faylon blushed and looked down. "It was good.... Although I did fall asleep at work today." she said another bite of her steak.

Faylon's mother sighed. "I see, but anyway at least your day was good." She said as she started to eat her steak.

It was about an hour later when they finished dinner. Faylon got up from the table. "I'm going to bed." She said with a yawn. She then gave her mother a hug, and then walked out of the dinning room to her room.

Faylon walked into her room and quickly walked to bed, she soon went to sleep; she was too tired to take off the small dress she wore to work.

It was a few hours later when Faylon awoke to the scent of burning wood. She got out of bed and went to investigate the scent.

As she walked out of her room she was fully awoken by the sight if her house on fire. A loud gasp escaped Faylon's mouth as she started to run towards the front door.

Faylon panted as she got out of her house. She looked around, and saw that people were being dragged out of their houses by various snakes clad in leather armor. Once everyone in a house was taken out the houses were set a blaze.

It was then that a large python walked up to Faylon, and looked at her with a wicked grin. "Sso there wass ssomeone elsse in there." He said as he started to raise his club. "You're coming wi-" His sentence was interrupted by a sharp pain in his back.

The snaked turned around to see who shot him; as he turned around the young dragoness could see a crossbow bolt sticking out of the snake's back. "Who shot me?" The snake asked with a hiss as he looked around, and saw a hyena.

"Me." said Hivis as he shot another bolt at the snake. The bolt hit the snake square in the head causing his death. It then fell to the ground with a thud. Hivis then walked over to Faylon and looked at her. "Are you alright?"

Faylon nodded. "Where is my mother?" she asked sounding scared.

A saddened sigh came out of Hivis' mouth. "She worked hard at convincing them no one else was the house, but never them to set it on fire. They knocked your mother unconscious, and dragged her off..."

A loud gasp escaped the young dragoness' mouth. "We must find her!!" she yelled as she started to walk past Hivis.

"No. We need to get out of here, and find a safe refuge." Hivis said as he grabbed at Faylon's shoulder. His ears suddenly twitched. "Faylon get down!" he said as he pushed the dragoness to the side. Soon after doing this Hivis fell to the ground.

Faylon landed on the ground with a moderately loud thud. "Oomph, what was that for?" she asked looking at Hivis, and then gasped as she saw two needles sticking out of the side of his beck. She then crawled backwards from Hivis' body, and bumped into a pair of legs. Looking up she started to scream as she saw a reptilian smile. She then blacked out as she was hit by the club the snake had in his hand. The snake then dragged Faylon towards a large wagon.

It was many hours later when Faylon was awakened by the light of the sun. With a loud groan she opened her eyes; her head was throbbing where she was hit. She looked around, and noticed she wasn't the only one on the wagon. "Where am I?"

A young canine looked at Faylon. "If you hadn't guessed. We are on a wagon." He said adjusting his posture. "You were the last one put on here."

Faylon looked down, and almost gasped as she saw her dress was ripped revealing a few tufts of fur on her body. "Did they?"

The young canine shook his head. "No they didn't. They ripped your dress, and nothing more." he said with a slight twitch of his ears. "My name is Zeeck. I'm an Ornate wolf." He said re-looking at Faylon. "I thought dragons didn't have fur."

Faylon sighed. "My name is Faylon Tor, and yes normally we don't have fur, but I'm only part dragon. The other part of me is canid of some sort." She said looking down.

Zeeck nodded. "I see. So what made you hard for them to catch?" He asked scratching his head.

"I did nothing. A friend of mine protected me..." She said as a few tears started to form on her eyes.

Zeeck shook his head. "You don't have to tell it is hard for you." He said with a sigh.

A few days later Faylon, Zeeck, and the rest of the captives were taken to their destination. It was a large keep surrounded by a large forest. As they were taken out of the wagon Faylon was grabbed by a large cobra. "Our leader wantss you." It said as it dragged her off.

"You know I can walk." she said as she regained her balance. Faylon was taken to a large room that was lavishly decorated. There was a tall staircase that had a carpet that was an indigo color, and on each side of the stair case were marble pillars that were encircled by golden snakes. "Bring her up!" said a loud and strong voice.

The dragoness was pushed up the stairs. Once she was on the top stair she saw the source of the voice. It was a large snake sitting on a throne made of black onyx. "Hello. My name iss Darraka." He said while petting a panther that was sitting next to him. The snake then reached into a bowl and lifted a small rodent about the size of a guinea pig and tossed it to the panther.

Faylon gasped as she saw the panther catch the rodent in its mouth and ate it whole. Darraka laughed. "Don't worry Ripperin is a good kitty when she is fed." he said scratching behind Ripperin's ears; a soft purr could be heard from the panther as her ear was scratched. Darraka then grabbed another rodent and opened his mouth to eat it; the inside of his mouth was black like some of his scales indication him as a black mamba.

"You're disgusting!" Faylon yelled at Darraka as she saw him eat the rodent. The large snake then got up and walked towards Faylon. "You think I'm disgusting? Ha! Unlike those men who captured you I will treat you with respect." He said getting his face close to Faylon's. The young dragoness spat at Darraka and smiled at the sizzling sound that soon followed.

The snake hissed out of pain as the dragoness' caustic saliva burnt his face. "You just blew your chance at a pain free life!" He said as he slapped Faylon across the face. Darraka then looked at Ripperin. "She is yours Ripperin." He said with an evil grin.

Ripperin got up and swished her tail. "Good. I needed a new toy. Since my last one died." she said as she walked towards Faylon.

The dragoness blinked as she saw that the panther walked not on four legs, but on six legs. She gasped as she felt something brush against her thigh. Faylon looked down and squirmed as she saw two tentacles sticking out of Ripperin's back. "What are you?"

The panther laughed. "I am just a little kitty." she said before biting down in Faylon's leg and off a piece of flesh. "Hmmm you're a little chewy, but I'll get used to it." Ripperin said before stabbing Faylon through the gut and then threw her to the ground.

Faylon gasped for air as she landed on the ground. Her vision was fading quickly, but she could clearly make out the panther. "Get a healer! I want this toy to last a while." Ripperin said wit ha laugh as Faylon passed out.

It was a few days later when Faylon awoke to pain in her gut. With a groan she sat up, and looked around the room. She was in a dark room with a bared door. The dragoness gasped as she saw a pair of golden colored eyes, and tried crawling backward as those eyes began to move closer.

"Don't move you might reopen your wounds." said the panther that walked towards Faylon; this panther was the same as Ripperin, but looked quite emaciated. "Get away!" Faylon yelled at the feline. The panther sighed. "It seems she has gotten to you..." he said as he laid down. "Look I mean you no harm."

Faylon looked at the feline oddly. "Her? You mean that panther that Darraka has?" she asked placing a hand on her leg where it was bit.

The feline nodded. "Yes. Ripperin... My sister." the panther said looking at Faylon. "My name is Jedit."

Faylon sighted. "My name is Faylon Tor, and I'm sorry for my reaction to seeing you." she said extending her hand out to pet Jedit.

The panther moved towards the hand and nuzzled it. "We're called Displacer beasts by most people." he said looking at Faylon's eyes. "We need out of this place."

A sigh escaped Faylon's mouth as she petted Jedit. "Well I could Dissolve the bars on the door and then be able to open it," she said as she got up and walked towards the door. Once at the door she spat on the bars. "This will take a while."

It was then that a large boa came to Faylon's cell, and opened it. "The kitty wants her toy." said the snake; by the tone of its voice it was female. The female boa then grabbed the dragoness by the arm.

Faylon was taken to a large room that had multiple piles of bones in it, and resting herself on the largest pile was Ripperin. With a wicked smile the panther got up and hopped off of the bones. "It's a good thing you came.." She said as she walked around Faylon. "I was getting lonely." Ripperin then nipped at the dragoness' leg.

Faylon moved her leg. "Stop that.." she said looking at the panther.

Ripperin purred softly and then used one of her tentacles to push Faylon to the ground. She then towards to front of the dragon. "I'm going to make sure you remember this moment..." said the panther as she moved her head towards the dragoness' hand bit at her ring finger.

Faylon winced as felt the feline's teeth cut into her finger. She then gasped as she heard the painful snap as her finger was bitten off.

The panther purred as she moved Faylon's finger around in her mouth, and then spat it out. "Mmm. Your blood is better than most." she said as she licked her lips.

The dragoness tried to crawl away from the panther, but then started to cry softly as she felt Ripperin pounce her

"Tsk tsk. I can't have you running... well in this case crawl away before I'm done." said Ripperin as she wrapped her tentacles around Faylon's neck and started to squeeze tightly.

Faylon squirmed under the weight of the panther as it wrapped its tentacles around her neck. She grabbed at the tentacles to try and loosen the grip around her throat. A few seconds later Faylon gasped loudly as the tentacles grip loosened allowing her to breath.

Ripperin smirked and then started to scratch at Faylon's back; her claws tore easily into the dragoness' soft scales. The panther purred feeling blood well up around her claws.

Faylon squirmed from pain as her back was cut into by the panther's claws. A loud groan escaped her mouth as she squirmed. Her vision faded as she started to black out from the pain

A few hours later Faylon awoke feeling something rough move along her back. It was Jedit who was licking at the claw marks on Faylon's back. She then groaned as she tried to get up. "How long have I been out?" She asked looking at the male panther.

"I don't know... probably a few hours." said the panther. A loud yawn escaped Jedit's mouth as he laid down and curled upon him self. "I haven't slept since they took you." he said as he closed his eyes.

The dragoness nodded. "I see." she said as she laid back down. She crawled towards Jedit and laid her had on him. Faylon then closed her eyes to sleep.

It had been a few days since the last time Faylon was on call to be Ripperin's "chew toy". in the mean time Faylon's dress was replaced with a simple cloth shirt and a pair of pants that appeared to be made of leather.

"Is the bar corroded enough to be broken?" Asked Jedit as he looked at the door. Jedit's body had improved over the last few days thanks to Faylon feeding him part of her food. He was no longer emaciated looking, but was still a bit unhealthy.

Faylon shrugged. "Soon." she said in a sigh as she heard the door to her cell open.

"Darraka wants you" said the snake at the door. The snake then grabbed Faylon by the collar, and dragged her out. The dragoness rose to her feet and walked with the snake that dragged her. As she walked past the door she tapped the door frame with her tail.

The dragoness was led back to Darraka's throne room. There had bee a few changes to the room for example it was significantly brighter and warmer in the room. Here she iss." said the snake as it pushed Faylon onto the stairs.

Darraka got up, and walked down to Faylon. The snake picked the dragoness up by the collar of her shirt. "Ripperin iss bored with you. Do you know why?"

Faylon shook her head as she looked at Darraka's face. It had a scar where she had spat on it. "I don't know why..."

Darracka hissed and spat on Faylon's face. "She claims you pass out too early, and that bores her so she wantss you dead." The black mamba said as he dragged Faylon to the top of the stairs.

Meanwhile in his cell. Jedit was staring at the corroded bar. "It's ready." he said as he wrapped his tentacle round the bar, and tugged on it till it broke. Once it was broken he moved his tentacle through the gap, and released the latch causing the door to open slightly.

A wandering guard saw Jedit escape. "Hey get ba-" The guard's sentence was interrupted as the panther pounced him. The guard struggled under Jedit's weight, but stopped as the panther bit down on the snake's throat killing it quickly. The panther then began to run towards Darraka's throne room.

Darraka grabbed at a sword that was on his waist and unsheathed it. The blade was curved a little making it a scimitar, but the blade of it was a dark blue indicating it was made of a rare metal.

"I'm going to kill you slowly." said Darraka with a grin as he saw Ripperin enter the room. He then slashed at Faylon's arms.

Faylon screamed in pain as blood began to well up in the cut to her arm. She then spat at Darraka's sword arm, and then thumped her tail on the ground as the familiar hiss came.

The hiss of Darraka's flesh dissolving was over shot by Darraka's own hiss of pain. He then kicked the dragoness down the stairs. "Tie her up!!" Darraka yelled at the guards.

Faylon rolled down the stairs resulting in slight bruising of her limbs. She grunted a little as the guards lifted her up to be tied. Faylon was brought onto her knees, and then had her hands tied to her ankles so she couldn't bend over.

Darraka shook his arm in a vain attempt to relieve the pain. He then started to walk towards the tied up dragoness.

On his way to the throne room Jedit passed by a cell, and then walked back as he heard someone. "Hey you." called the voice. "You heading to where Faylon was taken?

Jedit's ears twitched and moved towards the cell door. He hopped up and looked through the bars and saw that the voice came from a canine.

"Yes I am, but how do you know her?" He asked looking at the captive canine. "I was on the same wagon as her while being brought here. He said getting up and walking to the door. The darkness of the cell kept many of his facial features hidden. "My name is Zeeck."

The panther nodded. "She mentioned you slightly." he said unlatching the cell door

Zeeck blinked "She did?" He asked walking out of his cell. Zeeck had been tortured in his stay seeing as his body was moderately scared. "Lets get going." he said walking past Jedit to where Faylon was taken to.

As Darraka moved towards Faylon, Ripperin followed close by. "I think I'll kill you quickly since I'm getting tired of you." He said as she unsheathed another sword.

Faylon squirmed as she saw the second sword get unsheathed. "Great. I'm dead." She thought to her self. The dragoness then turned her head as she heard the door slam open.

As the door opened Jedit ran in and tackled Darraka. The force of the impact caused Darraka's blue sword to fall out of his hand. The snake struggled under the weight of the panther. "Get off of me!" He said just before he threw the panther off of himself.

Faylon blinked as she saw Jedit run in. she then squirmed as she felt someone's hands at her bound limbs. "Quite squirming Faylon." Said the person. Faylon stopped and looked behind her and saw it was Zeeck. Zeeck saw that Darraka had gotten free of Jedit. "I'm sorry, but I cant untie you yet. I have to deal with him." he said letting go of Faylon; the rope was loosened, but was tight enough to keep her limbs bound. The wild dog then ran to the sword Darraka dropped.

Jedit landed on the ground with a groan, and then got up. He saw that the guards were walking towards Faylon. "they'll kill her." He thought to himself, and ran towards them. Jedit then pounced one of them, and bit down on its neck killing it quickly. With a loud growl he looked at the other guard; who got the message, and promptly ran off.

Zeeck picked up the sword, and mentally noted that it was rather light for its size. He then looked at Darraka as he got up. "You're mine." he said as she charged at the snake. Darraka looked at Zeeck and then raised his blade to block what ever attack the wild dog would make. Zeeck slashed at Darraka's chest which was blocked by the blade; he then kicked at Darraka's leg to trip him.

Faylon tried to scoot away from the fighting, but fell on her side. It was at this time Jedit ran towards his sister and growled at her. Ripperin purred a little at the growl. "Oh? Does the softy want to fight?" she asked teasingly at her brother. Jedit then whipped a tentacle at Ripperin.

One of Ripperin's tentacles met Jedit's mid way, and kept it still. Jedit whipped his second tentacle at his sister, and it was intercepted. Ripperin then began to try and throw her brother. Jedit still a bit weaker than his sister was easily thrown into a wall.

Darraka fell from the kick and landed on his back. Zeeck then slashed at Darraka again. The snaked rolled out of the way, and slashed at Zeeck's leg. The wild dog fell to his knees as his calf got a long gash from the blade. Zeeck then stabbed his sword into Darraka's leg; as the stab was made the blade of the sword began to glow softly.

Darraka hissed in pain, and the kicked Zeeck across the room with his other leg. He grabbed the sword that was in his leg and tried to remove it, but it wouldn't budge. The sword wasn't just stuck, it was frozen in Darraka's leg. "what the hell is with this sword!" yelled Darraka as his body was slowly being frozen. The Snake limped towards Zeeck as the ice continued to spread over his body.

The wild dog tried to crawl away from the snake, but could only muster the strength to turn onto his back, and watch as Darraka' came closer.

Darraka hissed as he stood over Zeeck; the ice had spread up his body, and was starting to encase his other leg, and chest seeing as his breath was visible from the hiss. "Die!!" Yelled Darraka as he swung the sword towards Zeeck, but the blade never connected.

Zeeck Sighed out of relief as the blade hung frozen in mid swing as the snake was frozen up to his arms causing his heart to freeze killing him in seconds. The wild dog crawled towards Darraka, and pulled out he blue sword. He then got up with a loud grunt as the cut to his leg bled, but slowly stopped as the blood began to coagulate.

Jedit was still being thrown into the wall causing a few ribs and a limb to break. Ripperin purred as she heard her brother's bones break. The purring suddenly stopped followed by the sound of Jedit falling to the ground.

The wild dog managed to limp to Ripperin, and beheaded her. The headless body of the panther fell over and continue to spill blood out on to the ground.

Faylon sighed as she watched Ripperin die. "Um guys could you untie me?" she asked squirming a little. Zeeck smirked, and limped over to Faylon and began to untie her.

Jedit tired getting up, but his broken limbs wouldn't let him so he laid on the ground, and coughed dup a little blood. Zeeck looked at Jedit and sighed. He then stopped untying the knot, and cut it with the sword. "I don't think our friend there is going to make it." he said pointing at Jedit.

Faylon got up, and quickly ran to Jedit despite the pain in her limbs from being bound. She then sat down next to him, and softly petted him. "I'm sorry this happened. "she said quietly.

The panther purred slightly; which caused him to cough up some more blood. "It's alright... You're safe right?" He asked with a fain sway of his tail.

The dragoness nodded. "Yes I am." she said as a few tears started to form on her eyes.

Zeeck limped over to Faylon. "We should get going." He said putting his hand on the dragoness' shoulder.

Faylon nodded and sighed. "Yeah..." she said crying as Jedit stopped breathing. "How are we going to leave?" she asked helping Zeeck to the door. The wild dog shrugged, and then grabbed at the door to open it.

As they opened the door they were confronted by a snake with reddish scales. The snake flicked his tongue and looked at Faylon and Zeeck. "You killed Darraka?" He asked tilting his head.

Both the dragoness, and wild dog nodded. "Yes, and we will leave." Faylon said in a stern voice.

The snake nodded. "Alright, but your friend's leg needs help." he said pilling out some gauze from a pouch on his waist. "You're lucky I know how to dress wounds."

Faylon blinked, and then showed the snake Zeeck's leg. "We kill your leader and you're helping us? Normally we would be attacked or something." she said looking at the snake.

The snaked shrugged, and began to dress the wound. He poured a tiny bit of alcohol to clean the wound; which caused Zeeck to whine softly. "He may have united us, but not everyone like his methods." he said as he used the gauze to remove some of the blood and alcohol. He then began to stitch the wound closed.

The dragoness nodded. "I see, so what will happen now?" she asked tilting her head.

"I don't know." the snake said putting the gauze away, and stood up. "We will either get a new leader, or divide back into our individual tribes." he said motioning them to follow.

Faylon and Zeeck followed the snake to a large wagon. "Where will we go?" asked the wild dog as he looked at the wagon.

The snake grinned. "There is a city a few days to the north of here." he said hooking a pair of horses to the wagon. "There is enough food to last the journey." he said walking off.

Faylon helped Zeeck into the wagon, and then looked at the snake. "Why exactly are you helping us?" she asked tilting her head.

The snake stopped in his tracks. "You killed Darraka, and Ripperin. By doing so you have prevented the deaths of a lot of innocent people." he said as he resumed walking.

The dragoness nodded slightly, and then got into the wagon. Zeeck then grabbed the reins, and commanded the horses to begin moving.

A few hours later they began to move the wagon off of the path into a small clearing. Faylon got off, and then took the horses off to tie them to a tree. With the horses tied up she walked back to help Zeeck out of the wagon. "only a few days until your leg is fixed." she said with a smile.

Zeeck smirked, and sat down. "We will need a fire. I can start it if you can get some wood." he said grabbing some rocks, and arranged them in to a circle.

"Alright." Said the dragoness as she got up, and took the blue bladed sword. Faylon then went into the woods.

Zeeck grabbed a few trigs and dried grass, and put them in the rock ring. He then grabbed two rocks, and tried to start a fire with them.

A couple of minutes later Faylon returned to the camp site. "I found some wood." She said showing Zeeck the small pie of tree branches.

The ornate wolf looked at Faylon. "Good I just got the fire started." he said pointing at the pile of twigs that were burning.

Faylon nodded and walked towards Zeeck. "I'll get us some food." She said walking to the wagon, and a few minutes later she came back with some dried meat, and two blankets.

After she came back Faylon sat down next to Zeeck. "I take it you were tortured?" she asked looking Zeeck over.

Zeeck nodded. "Yes I was, but it was simple repeated stabbings." he said grabbing a piece of meant and bit into it.

Faylon nodded. "I see." she said taking a bite out of her dried meat.

A few minutes later they had finished their dinner, and began to get ready for sleep. Faylon looked at Zeeck. "What do you expect for the future?" she asked putting a branch into the fire.

"I don't know, but the future certainly be better than what we have just went through." said Zeeck as he laid down.

The dragoness nodded. "Yeah..." she said laying down next to Zeeck. Faylon then began to closer her eyes. "I'm going to bed."

Zeeck nodded and began to close his eyes also." Night Faylon." he said in a yawn.

Many hours later a small owl flew onto the branch of a near by tree, and looked down to see the camp site. As it looked it spied upon the dragoness the wild dog sleeping in each other embrace.
