Chapter Twenty Seven

"The Battle Begins"

By

Furry Sith Lord

I stood cluttered with the other species from The White Citadel's shelter as we waited for Bear to arrive and give the 'All Clear' sign so we could return home. I was one of the few that knew that Bear would not be addressing us at all tonight.

Lyon held my paw and stood behind me with his paws hugging my chest as we waited. I had been so quick to find them that I had not considered fully what BH had told me. I now realized that Bear was going to be alerted prematurely about the plan by him and he may get caught in the crossfire.

This whole thing was my plan that my father helped me flesh out so technically if something happened then it would be my fault. I didn't want any harm to come to them but it was too late for me to do anything now. When the last of us entered the shelter the sun had finished setting. The lights above us bearly illuminated the area and the crying and whimpering of frightened species was wearing me down.

I frantically looked around for my dad and Sanic hoping that seeing them would ease me but I couldn't see if they were here with us or not.

"Everyone settle down! Bear will take care of the situation, so just have faith." somebody shouted to us hoping to calm the fears of those around us. Despite the reassurance I can safely say that none of us felt better about the situation.

A couple of the females cried out in fear as what sounded like gun fire was heard. My own heart was beating rapidly because the sounds were nothing like what you hear in the movies or television. The room was steady but faint bits of dust fell from the ceiling and I made out the sounds of feet running.

"If I die, do you think Dash will remember me? Or will he find a new best friend?" Lyon asked me as he squeezed my paw tightly.

"He'll never be able to replace you! You and he are like brothers, just as we are and I can't live without you so you do not have my permission to die, understand?" I said and I thought I saw tears running down his face. I realized he hadn't cried in a very long time and it brought back memories of when we were cubs together.

"That goes double for you." Ben whispered in my ear as he hugged me tight. I heard the shout of someone trying to get the room's attention then I saw a grey set of paws lift Sanic up so that he rose above the crowd. I grabbed one of Ben's paws with my free one and we tried to make our way towards them. I knew that the paws belonged to my dad and even if I had to fight my way through we were going to be with him!

"Everyone! Everyone! May I have your attention please? I need everyone to remain calm because the WC is under attack by unknown forces but Bear is handling the situation and this should be resolved as quickly as possible." Sanic stated.

"Who are they?" one woman asked as her voice quivered with fear.

"Attention," Sanic said to quiet the room because several species began to speak at once. "We don't know at this time."

"Probably FDI! Come to kill us all then experiment on us and dump our bodies somewhere." Someone shouted and the room filled with chatter as mixed emotions of fear, panic, anger, and hatred were displayed. Sanic attempted to regain control but several of Bear's enforcers stepped forward to make their presence known. Several furs backed away as they pushed their way forward.

"Folks listen to me, the last thing we should do is panic. Everything will be alright, there is nothing to fear and we've prepared for the worst and we'll all be safe." Sanic tried to explain that but the room was so panicky that his words were lost on them.

"Dad!" Lyon shouted as he shook off my paw and ran to our dad and hugged him. Leggo grunted from the unexpected blow and he nearly dropped Sanic. I fought as Ben continued to hold me as I tried to pull Lyon away

"What's the kid's problem?" Leggo asked and he tried to shake off Lyon from his lower half.

"You must look like his adopted dad," I remarked and Lyon frowned as he faced me.

"He's not adopted, he's my real dad!" he replied firmly and Leggo looked at him then at me with confusion. I shrugged and pulled Lyon close to me and kept him from trying to return to our dad. I didn't know how to explain that he had no idea who we were because of the collar he wore. Ben made things tougher than it should be because of how strongly he was clinging to me.

"Leggo, focus! I need you." Sanic shouted as he tried to be heard over the chatter.

"Sorry," Leggo replied, then he lifted Sanic back up over his head.

Jon sat at the controls inside the van that operated the drones and he released them as soon as Lou sent him a message ordering him to do so. He had been patiently waiting here since Lou had told him to be ready to record the invasion.

So far he was watching Lou's fake B.O.T.S. army fight C.I.Z.A. and both sides seemed at a stalemate. The riot gear C.I.Z.A wore had been protecting them from the rock salt weapons of B.O.T.S. However the tranquilizer darts of C.I.Z.A. were no match for the gear B.O.T.S. had. Back and forth they futilely fought in vain.

Jon caught some suspicious movement by the agents and he narrowed in to observe that the agents were all pulling out the clips, that held the tranquilizers and putting in .50 rounds!.

"What the fuck?" Jon said and he sent the images to Lou's phone. "That's not part of the plan!"

Lou stood by watching the monitors when his phone vibrated and he saw the images and a short video Jon sent.

"What in the fuck?!" Lou exclaimed and Merik turned to look at him.

"Problem?" he asked suspiciously. Lou ignored him for a moment and quickly dialed the leader of his army.

"Execute order 69!" Lou barked.

"You mind telling me what that's about?" Merrik asked.

"My mole just sent me a warning. Your agents are switching to live ammo. What kind of rounds do they have?"

"Why would I tell you that? I've seen those markings on them and they are B.O.T.S. agents we're fighting." Merrik replied.

"What kind of rounds?!" Lou screamed at him.

"50 caliber. Not that it matters but my agents are about to wipe out those Brotherhood scum and any other resistance from The White Citadel."

"You fool! Innocent furs are out there and your about to slaughter them all!" Lou yelled. His infatuation grew as Merrik laughed at him.

"Of course I am. You didn't think I trusted you, did you? I've suspected that the whole thing was a set up and that either you and your B.O.T.S. were working with The White Citadel or you were going to use them to get your team inside. I was afraid that you were a double agent to us from the start but my plan was to use you.

Those 50 caliber bullets are powerful enough to go through concrete. The body armor, the kevlar, the riot shields will be like tissue paper. Your men will be quite dead as soon as the first shots are fired. I hope for their sake that your 69 order is their immediate surrender." Merrik removed his phone from his pocket and dialed a number. "Now," he replied, then four armed agents entered and pointed their guns at Lou.

"What did the scorpion tell the frog?" Lou said as an agent cuffed his hooves behind his back.

"Because it's in my nature," Merrik gleefully replied.

"Remember that." Lou responded as he quickly opened his eyes wide and then returned them to normal as he glared at him. The agents led Lou out to a holding van.

"Execute order 69!" blared over the radios of Lou's army. They quickly fell back and sought cover using anything they could to help hide their presents. The agents opened fired and and vehicles that the agents used as cover were shredded by the gun fire.

"Maximum Heat! They're using Maximum Heat!" One of Lou's members yelled over the radio. They continued to fall back and a couple grabbed a hold of wounded members of their team and tried to pull them to safety.

In an underground bunker below his office Bear watched numerous monitors as BH stood next to him. Bear had been watching the whole exchange as the two armies fought each other. He had been working to hack into their communication systems to find out which messages they were relaying to each other.

"So the C.I.Z.A. boys give the order to go to 'Red Station' and they switch to live ammo. Then those other guys give Order 69 and they fall back. Interesting." Bear mused.

"What do they mean by Maximum Heat?" BH asked.

"A term we used in C.I.Z.A. to mean maximum firepower. The most powerful bullet in the world is the 950 JDJ which unless you're an elephant or something packing serious weight, you'll be thrown halfway across a field... or so I'm told. Never tried one before. These guys look like they're ready to go full auto so I'm guessing maybe 50 caliber but even that might be too much. Either way we are dealing with serious customers here." Bear replied.

"Holy shit!!!" BH exclaimed as he watched the agents shoot through a car as if it was made of tin foil. "Well fuck me and knot me like a bitch, what the hell are we gonna do?" Bh whimpered.

"Relax my son. So they want to go to Red Station and Operation 69, do they... Guess we'll intervene by introducing them to my operation. Time for Operation Climate Change!" Bear flipped a switch and all around The White Citadel numerous hidden robotic arms with cameras and rifles built into them extended. They let loose a hail of gunfire that sent everyone running for cover.

"You don't fuck with a polar bear's home unless you want your world flooded." Bear mocked.

"Anyone bring any EMP grenades?" Merrik shouted over the radio.

"Negative sir, the briefing stated all they had was rock salt weapons." An agent replied.

"Fuckin' deer. So this is why this is his order 69. It's one big suck my dick as you fall into my trap." Merrik turned to an agent standing nearby. "Get his ass back here!"

Lou was led still cuffed back into the mobile unit as Merrik looked at him fuming. Lou just stood there unimpressed. Movement on the monitors caught his attention and he watched the carnage unfold.

"Enjoying your plan 69?" Merrik asked sourly.

"I wish I could take credit for that one, but it looks like Bear had us all fooled." Lou remarked as he kept his eyes fixed on the monitors.

"Got any of your brilliant ideas on how to handle this?" Merrik asked and Lou was silent as he drew closer to the monitors as he observed them.

"First you gotta uncuff me," Lou said and Merrik nodded as one of his guards removed the restraints from his hooves. "I can create an electromagnetic pulse to disable those but the size of the area and how long it's gonna take me may be the problem. I can't build one in minutes... provided we have all the parts available." Lou said.

"Are you sure 'he' can be trusted sir?" The guard asked.

"He's many things... but when it counts you can count on him to do the right thing. Besides, his guys are as trapped as our guys are. It's in his best interest to help us." Merrik remarked.

"It's gonna be dangerous but I need your men to get me the items I need. First off I need circuit boards so I need your men to collect all the digital cameras and cell phones and as many computers as they can. So I'd send a team or two to raid any electronics stores they find. Since this is a makeshift city they must have some. Now this is important! Your men need to get them here so I can work on them so I suggest nothing larger than a laptop. I mean I suppose technically you could bring an all digital washing machine or dryer but lugging it here may pose a problem. ;

I'll need tools and copper wire so I'd send a team to a hardware store. Nothing fancy, just pliers and wire strippers... batteries are definitely needed." Lou stopped thinking it over for a minute. "Insulation! I'll need paper plates and styrofoam cups. Bring those here as fast as you can!

The thing to consider Merrik is how big a pulse do you want because if I get enough materials I can knock out the whole city but we'll lose all our stuff in the process." Lou reminded Merrik as he was sending orders to his agents on the items to loot and bring to the mobile command center.

"The teams are a go!" Merrik told Lou.

"Oh and we need to keep Bear from suspecting what we are doing. Can your guys keep him engaged in the fight long enough for your agents to bring me what we need?" Lou asked.

"I'm on it." Merrik said as he gave more orders on his radio.

"Is there a way to block the EMP from hitting us?" The guard asked.

"Not without RF shielding, do we have any?" Lou asked and the guard shrugged.

"How come your 'mole' didn't warn you about this?" Merrik asked him.

"He probably didn't know a thing about it."

"What other surprises does Bear have up his sleeve?" Merrik asked.

Things had quieted slightly as we remained in the selter and several cliques had formed as different friends banded together and complained about the situation to each other. My dad and Sanic joined us as we moved to the corner of the room to get away from the others. All five of us sat on the floor and listened to see if we could hear anything.

I held Lyon as he sat between my outstretched legs leaning against my chest and I sat in the same manner against Bed as he held my arms. Sanic was perched on my dad's knee as my dad sat cross legged facing us.

I held Lyon to keep him from crying because after I had explained that our dad was collared and it removed all his memories, he was about to break down. Our dad had been watching us carefully trying to figure out Lyon's actions but he didn't find the lies I had told him to be convincing. I didn't want to set him off too because of the collar and I hoped that once it was removed he would understand why I did it.

"How long have we been here?" I heard someone ask but I wasn't sure who it was.

"Almost an hour," Sanic replied after he checked his watch.

"Are you two brothers?" Leggo asked.

"Yes," replied Lyon.

"Yes," I replied.

"No," Ben replied, then I turned to look at him.

"Sorry, Lyon and I are brothers but Ben and I are boyfriends." I clarified and I saw my dad look at Ben then look at me.

"Your name is Leggo, right? You seem familiar... have you ever had your paw tied?" Ben asked him.

"I... dunno I'm sure someone must have tied me up before." he replied.

"What he means is: Are you married?" Lyon asked, his voice carrying a hint of annoyance. I quieted him by shifting and resting my head on top of his. I was basically dominating him into submission but he just gave in and let me. I then felt Ben do the same to me and I growled slightly but since I didn't want to disturb Lyon as I felt him sagging as he was falling asleep, I allowed Ben to dom me even though we'd have words later.

"The little one's tired," my dad remarked

"Never thought about that before. I think we can make something for those that are tired to rest." Sanic replied and he bounced off of Leggo's knee ane shuffled off to get the enforcers to help him get pillows and blankets for everyone.

"Are we gonna be here all night?" Ben asked me.

"I wish I knew, I never figured that part out." I said and I saw Leggo stare at me. I looked at him in confusion wondering why he was staring. He looked away, remaining silent.

I felt Lyon's head drop as he was falling asleep and I shifted him so that he was laying against me as I held him.

"Give him to me," my dad replied as he stretched out his arms. "It'll be more comfortable for you because he's almost bigger than you are."

"Thanks," I mumbled as he took and held Lyon.

"Daddy," Lyon mumbled as Leggo made a soft murmur to quiet and relax him. Ben pulled me closer and gave me a tight squeeze.

"You're the right size for me." he said.

"Stop," I protested but didn't struggle in any way. It felt good as he held me and I started falling asleep myself when suddenly I was awakened by Sanic handig a couple of blankets to Ben and myself.

"Sorry guys, we don't have any pillows." Sanic replied softly.

"That's OK, Tyger and I will share a blanket and roll up mine to use as a pillow." Ben said. I was too tired to object and honestly the thought of laying together with him was something that I wanted.

"Funny, he always seemed like the dominant one in the relationship," Sanic remarked playfully. Ben looked at me to see if I was asleep before replying.

"He is... but in the bedroom I'm in charge." Ben stated and I snored suddenly and woke slightly as I heard myself. Guess I was tired too just like my brother is. I did give a look at Ben because I had heard him and he smiled bashfully but I ignored it and went back to sleep.

"Of course, you like to play games where you tie each other up and it's fun to watch him struggle... but when it comes down to it you both love each other so much that you don't know what you'd do without each other." Leggo said and Ben then Sanic stared at him.

"You alright Leggol?" Sanic asked.

"I thought I was remembering something but now it's gone again... Sorry." he replied.

"You like to tie species up and watch them struggle?" Ben asked.

"I dunno... My head... Hurts. I feel like I'm missing something but can't remember what. Like when you go outside from your house and you realize that you've forgotten to put on pants." Leggo said.

"What?!" Both Ben and Sanic replied.

"Leggo? You've done that?" Sanic asked.

"I dunno... I might have."

"Geeze I haven't gone out of the house in only my fur since I was a cub. Got a good beating for it too." Ben remarked.

"Well now he never said in his fur, I'm sure you were wearing underwear...Right?" Sanic said to Ben then after quickly thinking about it he asked Leggo.

"I remember being outside in my fur and there were other species around me. Then this faceless bird lady was yelling at me. Two small cubs were there and one was crying for some reason and...... Sorry, what were we talking about again?" Leggo asked as his memory was erased again.

"It's OK Leggo, it wasn't important anyway." Sanic said as he forced a smile.

The agents brought the items requested having looted everything they could get their hands on. Lou was arguing to himself as he rushed trying to built the EMP device. He was still being watched by the guard assigned to him but he was keeping his distance.

Nerrik walked over to the guard as Lou was swearing at the device he was building.

"How's he doing?" Merrik asked and the guard shrugged.

"Alright, alright." Lou said as he stood and dusted himself off.

"How ya doing old man?" Merrik mocked Lou then Lou glared at him.

"OK I'm ready and I made a few portable devices to give to the teams as back ups. They have a very limited range so they'll have to get real close. This main one should take out all electronics in the city so if you have any last minute messages to send then now's the time.

Another thing is that the power generator of the city will go out, which means no lights... nothing. If any of your guys has infrared goggles they better get out before this hits or they'll be blind." Lou replied as he was texting on his phone.

"What's that? A warning to Bear and your friends?" The guard asked.

"Hardly, Here see for yourself." Lou replied as he showed his phone to them.

LOU: ,

Hey honey, won't be getting home tonight. Start dinner without me, because I don't want our kids starving to death. Last thing we need is them running amok in the neighborhood.

"See," Lou responded as they read the text message. He hoped that they wouldn't figure that it was encoded to fool C.I.Z.A. when he was actually telling Jon to recall the drones before the EMP fried them and they'd be crashing.

"I thought you liked boys?" Merrik replied.

"Of course I do! I'm married to one but I have a 'pretend wife' that's a female because certain... functions require that I appear to be married to a female and her kids in order to do business. A corporate image I must sometimes display. Now I had plans to visit and check on them until I received a certain call... last minute." Lou lied as he convincingly gave them a smug look. The truth was he had never bothered with the whole corporate image and he didn't care who knew that he was only interested in males... well to be honest he was only interested in one particular male.

"Enough of this! Just fire that thing up!" Merrik ordered.

"...OK." Lou replied as he flipped a lightswitch that was used as a power button for the device. It started right up and sent out a shockwave in all directions...
