Chapter 4: It Came In The Night

February 28th YOE 35

7:35 PM (Chaundoon)

Friday evening at the Wild's restaurant in the central tower in World Seven...

"...And then our teacher explained how the days on Chaundoon are quite different than on Counter Earth." Kiwi said spooning his vegetable soup.

The preteen boy was enjoying a lively dinner discussion with two beastials who might as well have been his adoptive parents.

"Is it because Chaundoon rotates on its axis slower than our previous world?" A maned wolf across from the boy asked locking his eyes on a beautiful chakat who was dressed in a blue shirt on her humanoid half while her taur half was unhampered with clothing.

"Well, um yeah." The boy replied.

Kiwi was wearing an orange shirt and blue shorts that evening that sort of complemented the junior knights outfit Naka was wearing.

"And because of this slower rotation that the days on Chaundoon are twelve hours longer than on Counter Earth." The chakat female said neglecting her meal to return her gaze to the handsome knight seated across from her.

"It also has something to do with Chaundoon's two suns and three moons as well. I mean there is no winter to speak of." Kiwi said continuing the conversation. "Save for all the rain the city has been receiving lately."

"And the extra twelve hours does give us some more time." Naka said taking Song's paw in his.

"But it also hard on our twenty four hour clock system." Song replied. "It is dark when we get up. The suns are just coming out when we sit down to lunch and and are still out when we lay down to sleep."

There was a softness in her eyes that evening and Naka felt himself getting lost in them.

"Yeah, it is quite weird. Five months after moving here, I still haven't gotten used to it." The brown haired boy replied.

"We haven't noticed." The chakat and maned wolf said in unison still lost in each others eyes.

"Well Ms. Rose and Ms. Una have come up with an idea to address that."

"They are going to add twelve additional hours to our clocks." The knight said.

"Fixing the discrepancy." The council member added.

"Yeah, how did you two know?" The preteen boy asked his beastial guardians.

"The idea was brought before King Dragon. Is that a new shirt my dear?" Naka asked answering Kiwi's question and then posing one for his companion.

"He has approved the idea once we figure out what to call the additional hours. Sort of- new being a relative term. Naka do you like it?" Song said answering Kiwi and Naka.

"Hmm... Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen and eighteen o'clock... AM or PM??" Kiwi though out loud.

That did sound weird. But if not that what should they call the extra hours? Bonus time? The preteen continued to ponder the concept after his new family concluded dinner and left the restaurant.

"So how was work today?" The chakat asked taking the wolf's paw.

"The usual, the knight core is busy mediating disputes among the planet's inhabitants trying to make sure each tribe or clan lives in harmony with their neighbors."

"That is why there are so few knights patrolling the city." Kiwi said taking Naka's free paw.

"King Dragon and the colony council have seen some of that as well." The chakat said. "I think the Chado were more than willing to saddle their chosen one with that responsibility." The she beast replied.

"How is Sorren doing?" Kiwi asked as the three arrived at their home glad that the storm cloud was not raining on it.

"The weight of leadership has been a heavy burden on him and he still isn't comfortable being a ruler. Despite our reassurances." The female beastial replied.

"Phew, I am beat."

"Naka you said that you would help with my home work."

"I did?"

"You did." Kiwi said looking at the maned wolf.

"Alright head inside and set up. I will join you shortly."

And so Kiwi's surrogate father helped him with his school work for most of the evening until bedtime. Something about beasital versus human customs differences and similarities.

As they laid down for the night, Kiwi took the far right side of the bed while Song took the middle facing her boy's back which she lovingly embraced as if he were some plushie doll. Naka took the far left side which gave him the perfect view of that she taur's rear and some nasty naughty thoughts he would wait until their boy was sound asleep to execute.

Sometime during the overnight Kiwi was awakened by some peculiar sounds.

*moan*

Where did that come from?

*HHHNNG!!*

He heard that! It was coming from Song. Was she in pain?

*EEP*

No. Not in pain. The boy surmised as she hugged him tightly. Kiwi noticed that she was breathing rather raggedly and her chest fur was rather moist. Wait, she had removed her top!! She was nude! Since when? When he, Naka and Song laid down for the night they were fully clothed. Could he be mistaken? The teen rubbed the back of his head along the chakat's chest. He felt some exposed nipples and a received a moan from the she beast that was accompanied by a *UNF* *UNF* *UNF* behind her.

Carefully he glanced over his shoulder to see a wolf buried deep in the kitty cat's rear his tail was very poofy and hers was wrapped around him.

Kiwi pondered for a moment. Naka and Song did seem more lovey- dovey than usual at dinner and through out the day for that matter.

A smile formed on the boy's face as he realized that his beastial guardians' relationship had finally risen to the next level. It was about time too.

"Naka, not so loud!" Song said shushing her canid lover.

"Yes, yes, right!" The maned wolf replied. "Quieter and softer."

Kiwi felt Song hug him tighter as she was humped by her big bad wolf.

The boy felt her bosom heave, her breath get shorter and her moans become more prevalent as the mating pair reached a crescendo.

Suddenly Song's forepaws wrapped around Kiwi's legs as the chakat violently shuddered.

"UUHHH!!! UUGHH!! UGH!! OHH!!!"

Did she just cum?!

"Oh Song.... my lovely... lovely Song... errooo!!!" The wolf whimpered before he let out the cutest doggie whine Kiwi had ever heard.

Who needed sex ed with these two around!!

The two grew still in the afterglow of their mating. Naka's meat buried deep inside his lover, his head resting on her taur back. She in turn resting her head on her boy. There was a lot of love in that room tonight.

A wicked smile formed on the preteen's face as he decided to have a little fun with his guardians.

"Naka, Song. Whatcha doing?"

There was the collected shock between the cat-taur and wolf as that lone question emanated from their boy.

"Ah nothing Kiwi!" Song said quickly. The embarrassment in her tone was quite evident.

"I thought you said he was a sound sleeper!" Naka said horrified.

"Mostly." The white chakat said.

"It was kinda hard to sleep with all the ruckus you two were making." Kiwi said laying it on really thick.

"We were that loud?" The he beast asked looking up to the she beast. She was blushing.

"But..." The boy said rolling over to face the embarrassed chakat. "It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.... and long, long over due."

(Naka and Song had become lovers! YES!!!)

Kiwi hugged Song and she did the same with her forelegs and left paw. The right extended back to grasp Naka's paw.

"I guess we deserved some happiness especially after what we went through the year prior." The former leader of the nomadic colony reasoned.

*tug* *tug*

"AWK!!" Song moaned as her lover tried to pull out her love tunnel.

"Um, I think we are going to be like this for awhile." Naka said childishly.

"Naka?"

"You excite me- a lot." The big bad wolf grinned.

"Daw!!!" Kiwi teased.

"Alright to sleep with you." Song said turning over her boy. It took some adjustment but she was able to go back to sleep despite having thick wolf meat buried inside of her.

Around six in the morning Kiwi awoke to the smell of sex and his beastial guardians still tied together.

"Sorry Song, I didn't think it would last this long." The maned wolf hugging her rear apologized.

"It's her rear." The pre-teen boy said stretching as the wolf and cat looked at him. "It is rather quite lovely."

"The rest of her isn't bad either." The maned wolf admitted.

"Ahem be that as it may, we can't stay like this all day. The colony council has a meeting." The white cat beastial replied.

"I think I can help." Kiwi said. He climbed out of bed and proceeded to walk behind the white cat-taur to the maned wolf who was tied to her. He studied the mated pair for a moment before grabbing Naka's brown tail with the white tip at its base with one hand and stroking it the wrong way with his other!

"GAH!" The knight exclaimed.

But Kiwi was not done yet! He then deftly moved his hands from the wolf's tail to his backside and lewdly rubbed it as if he were some sort of perverted masseur.

*deflate*

The unwanted touch and the humiliation!! Naka felt his wolf-hood getting smaller and smaller and then.

*POP*

"Thanks." He said petting his boy. "I deserved that."

Kiwi helped the nude beastial back to his paws, that was when the two observed that Song was leaking... a lot!

Naka looked at the white spunk flowing out of his kitty cat's love tunnel and then back at Kiwi who was grinning ear to ear.

"Why don't I get something to clean that up?" The preteen said leaving the bedroom.

As the teen rummaged through great room for some cloths, he realized that that was the first work out Naka's testicles had probably received in some time hence all the jizz. That's right, he, Song, Naka had been fleeing the apocalypse before settling down here. Safety and security trumped intimacy and sex.

*tap* *tap*

Kiwi wondered in light of Song and Naka being caught. If the couple would be as um promiscuous around him again. He hoped they would. That was quite a show!!

(Could a wolf and cat-taur produce offspring? Hmm...)

*tap* *tap*

(Say what is making that noise?)

Kiwi went to the front window of their home and looked outside. He didn't see anything in the darkness of Chandoon's early morning. However something did see him. Kiwi decided to open the front door to take a look. That was a big mistake...

*WUUUUUUDDD*

Meanwhile... "My that is an awful lot." The white she cat said looking at the mess on their bed.

"Yeah, I guess it is... it has been a while." Naka said embarrassed.

"I think in the future we should use a bit more discretion."

"You mean make sure Kiwi is sound asleep and not awakened by our indiscretions?" The he wolf said to his she cat. "Say what is taking him so long?"

Song shrugged her shoulders as she left the bedroom to enter the great room as she walked away Naka admired that magnificent rearview and the white drops of his seed dripping from underneath her tail.

"NAKA!!!"

"What's wrong?" The maned wolf said running up behind her.

The two found the front door of their home wide open and their boy no where to be found.

March 1st YOE 35

6:40 AM Central Tower...

"Titanous what is taking so long?" A sabertooth tigress asked as she stepped into the shower stall.

"Oh just admiring the view." A tan and black canid beastial said eyeing the tigress lustfully as she disrobed.

"What view?"

"Why a ferocious, strong, fierce, resourceful and powerful barbarian warrior who is undressing in front of me!" The jackal smirked.

"Quit gawking and get in here." She yawned.

"Gee, some beast is tired."

"That is because Gia and myself were up half the night taking care of someone who is homesick."

"Sorry about that I was thinking about those I left behind in the Nexus Acala, Xava, Doria, Dongo, Alboa and Dom."

"You know what you were doing when you followed me here." Shira said pulling him into the shower stall. "King Dragon has ordered the space gate closed."

"Yeah, I know if ONE followed us through...."

"What we have here now would be destroyed. You just have to trust that Mr. Xava is protecting everyone you left behind in the Nexus- now come her puppy..." The tigress ordered as the two were interrupted.

"Has anyone seen Kiwi?" Song asked as she walked about the shower room.

A grey and white pony bathing with a female skunk nearby shook their heads.

"Song what's wrong?" The female barbarian asked.

"Kiwi is missing!!" The white kitty cat said running out of the shower room.

"Missing?" The tigress asked.

"It is serious." The jackal inferred.

"How so?"

"Shira, she came right here from her home without dressing and white stuff is dribbling from underneath her tail." Titanous observed.

7:00 AM Wild's Restaurant....

"Good job Pabu the place is looking spotless."

"Hue, I am a cook not a janitor!" The groundhog complained.

"Remember it is important to maintain a strict regimen of cleanliness." Mr. Wild said to his disgruntled employee.

"Even though there isn't a entity to make sure that this establishment and other like it are clean and sanitary?!" Pabu protested.

"There is just us." The man said to the groundhog. "We are ready for the morning rush dear." Hue said to his mate who was standing behind the counter.

"Arf!!" Lolly said standing at the entrance to their restaurant ready to greet the morning crowd when in walked a panicked knight.

"Naka! Good morning! How are you?" The she centaur started to say.

"Dianna, Hue, Pabu! You haven't seen Kiwi by any chance?"

"Um, no. Is something wrong?" The she beast asked the wolf.

The orange and brown colored wolf was only wearing his brown undergarments and apparently hadn't dressed- his fur was frazzled and he had a distressed look about him.

"He disappeared from our home this morning. Song and I have been looking for him everywhere!"

"He wasn't being punished at the time was he?" Pabu asked.

"He wasn't mad or upset was he?" Hue asked.

"No he gave no indication of that. I think he was taken, snatched. I found the front door of our home wide open." The maned wolf gasped.

"Oh dear!" The female centaur said approaching the maned wolf and her mate. "If he has been kidnapped we don't have a second to lose!"

7:40 AM Lilly Blossom's Spa...

"Your majesty! Duchess!" The medicine lady said greeting King Dragon and the leader of the sand folk. "Welcome to my little boutique! What can I do for you today?"

"One of your signature massages would be divine right now." The red dragon said leading in a white dragon like being into the shop.

The goat lady had to stop and admire her patrons. Sorren and Jua looked like the perfect regal couple.

"We have been stressed running our respective empires madam." The female dragon like being said.

"I have just the thing! Right this way."

Lilly Blossom guided the power couple to two matching tables in the back room. She had each lay down and then started working on Sorren kneading his shoulders. neck and back before moving downward. She noticed that there was a lot of tension everywhere around his torso, but not his waist.

"This is what you call relaxing?!" Jua asked seeing her significant other near nude being worked on.

That was when the goat massage lady moved onto her.

"Oh it is!!!" The duchess commented.

"Guaranteed to cure what ails you Jua." Sorren said trading glances with his companion.

"OOH. I must have one of these!!!" The dragoness commented before the still of the morning was shattered by a frantic chakat.

"Has anyone seen Kiwi?!"

8:02 AM Ms. Una's Classroom...

"Children if I need to have your attention for a minute." A female naga said addressing the assembled students as a female black bear stood beside her.

"Has anyone seen Kiwi this morning?" Ms. Rose said asking her and Ms. Una's students.

"No, is something wrong?" Tano asked.

"If something wasn't why would they be asking?" Nano countered.

"Uh oh." Tamuda said. "He is missing isn't he?"

"He vanished from his home two hours ago." The she bear replied to the pitbull pups. "The knight's have been searching the city for him."

"What about that rain cloud that has been selectively watering the city? Could it be responsible?" Little Corey Wild asked.

"So no one has seen Kiwi?" The naga said regaining control of the conversation.

The blank stares and head shaking from her students reaffirmed what Naka and Song had feared. They were the last to see their charge.

Within the crowd a female panda turned to her friend a chubby male wolverine. The two nodded at each other.

9:40 AM Colony Council Meeting...

"So the sand folk are in disagreement with the mud folk, a territorial dispute I believe." Shira said trying to disguise a yawn as her colleagues looked on.

"How bad is it?" Masha asked.

"It has escalated." Gia responded.

"To the point of armed fighting? If that happens we must support the sand folk they have been nothing but gracious to us. Our ruler is dating their leader." Basil replied making serious face.

"But we are supposed to remain neutral." Haem mimed to his fellow council members. "That allows us to keep the peace on this world."

"Life was so much more simpler when we were on our own hiding from empire." The blond barbarian said to the sabertooth tigress.

"Now we are on the other side, part of a new empire trying to keep the peace." The tigress said to her former subordinates as the cave bear, pitbull and monster traded glances. There was a sixth council member present but she was distracted and rightly so.

"The Chado left us with quite a mess to clean up eh Song? Song?" The ugly female pitbull conducting the meeting asked.

"Hmm? Yes, Masha." The chakat said.

"I think you should take the day off. As a mother of three myself if one of my pups went missing...."

Haem placed one of his limbs on Masha's shoulder cutting her off. The octopus monster only needed one of his numerous eyes to see that the feline was very concerned about her charge.

"Thank you everyone but I need... I need to keep busy." The chakat said.

11:50 AM Friendship Park...

"Please tell me that you have some sort of news Arugula." The mid-level knight said to the junior knight.

"Nothing as of yet. Linias, Sandu, Cole and myself have searched a third of the city." The spring hare replied to the concerned wolf.

"Please let me know the minute you find anything!" Naka pleaded.

The she ninja nodded and disappeared into thin air like she was a ghost.

"Naka, I need to speak with you." One of the meerkat technicians dressed in a grey full body jumpsuit said approaching the maned wolf.

Naka followed her to a stone one level building near the central tower. Inside the vehicle bunker was a familiar blue prototype.

"Have a seat." She ordered.

*Recognized Naka Wolf mid-level knight World Seven*

*Recognized Meena Meerkat technician*

"Overwatch display the surveillance image from early this morning." The technician ordered. "As you know we have one of the prototypes keeping watch during the overnight in case of invasion."

**Affirmative.* *

"Did you find something Meena?"

"Overwatch switch image to infrared and fast forward to time index 05:59." The she beast ordered.

*Done.*

"What am I looking at?" The former leader of the lost colony said trying to make sense of what he was seeing.

"Each red dot is a member of our colony. Here is King Dragon and Duchess Jua in the central tower. Over there is Nezera and Shakara in the infirmary. On the first floor is Hue and Dianna. To the far right is the home you share with Song and Kiwi."

*As you can see at this time index there were three of you at home. Two in the bedroom and one in the kitchen.* The automated assistant observed.

"Um, yeah we had gotten up and were starting our day." Naka blushed.

"WATCH." The meerkat ordered.

Suddenly one of the red dots moved from the home across the city, past the central tower, vehicle bunker and outside the city boundary at blinding speed. Much faster than a human could run.

"Shit!!!"

"Naka I don't think Kiwi is in the city anymore." Meena said eyeing the shocked wolf.

*Judging by the rate and speed of motion, he was taken by something.*

"WHERE?! HOW?!" Naka growled at the female meerkat.

"I... I.... don't know. Somewhere outside the city." Meena said looking downward.

*I am unable to triangulate any probable locations because this was the only image that was recorded.*

12:40 PM Knight Command...

"I will do the best I can Naka." The caracal said sympathizing from behind his desk.

"I know the majority of the core is away on missions trying to keep the calm." The maned wolf said to senior knight and as a result we have a minimal compliment to watch the city. Including you, myself and a few others."

"Exactly right." Sanda said. "Plus it is a big planet out there where do we actually start looking?"

"Song is going to check with Manderine and our allies maybe someone saw something." Naka said trying not to tear up.

"I will see what resources I can spare dismissed." Sanda replied.

As the tan wolf left the central tower he wistfully stared at the sky and the suspected sentient cloud that had been watering parts of World Seven as if it was part of a special garden.

"I don't suppose you know where he is?" The warrior asked the cloud. It didn't respond. It only moved to another section of the city and started raining there. Weird.

So Naka returned home his thoughts turned to his charge as he made his way on the stone walkway toward the front door. Was Kiwi alive? Was he alright? How did he disappear? Who took him?

As he walked inside he knelt down and scanned the various scents on the walkway, through the home's entrance and into the great room. There was his, Song's and Kiwi's mysteriously no one else.

The knight examined the floor of the great room he noticed scuff marks. There were ever so slight where Kiwi was forcibly removed from their home. He had been barefoot and shirtless at the time of his abduction.

"Kiwi...."

He had met the pre-teen around the time he and Song joined the caravan and they roamed the countryside looking to settle down after leaving World Three. They had been through so much together.

"Mr. knight?" Two young voices called out to him from the street outside.

"Milo, Panda Lee how can I help you?" The maned wolf asked standing.

"Have you had any luck finding Kiwi?" The panda girl asked the wolf composed himself.

He shook his head. "I believe he was taken by force."

"Where?" The chubby wolverine boy asked.

"Out there somewhere." The knight pointed past the city limits.

"Well maybe we can help you with that." Milo said smiling.

"How?"

"Well we were about to head home for a little bit."

"That's right you two live outside the city." Naka said to the Alien Hunters.

"With everything that has happened we decided to stick to the suburbs." Panda Lee teased.

"Actually Panda Lee still has flashbacks from the day of the fall."

"Milo!" The panda girl grumbled. "Actually he thinks our quarters on the sky ship are more comfortable than the dusty stone buildings in the city." She said leading them past the northwest boundary of the city.

The three walked for about a mile and a half through a narrow mountain pass outside of the city. It was so narrow that it would have give anyone with claustrophobia, claustrophobia and even those without it.

Panda Lee was wearing a pink shirt and blue overalls which she had hoped hid her swaying hips as she walked. They didn't.

Milo on the other paw embraced his rotund body. The white shirt he was wearing with blue tinges everywhere drew the eye to his belly and the blue shorts he was wearing.

The pass soon opened up to a micro valley with a small lake fed from a mountain stream. Around the lake was brown and green greenery.

"I know why you two live here." Then maned wolf replied it is quite beautiful.

Although the green, purple sky was a little off putting. So was the white and pink sky trails.

Not far from the lake was a small rustic looking cabin.

"This way. I think Hue and Cassia may be able to help." Panda Lee said walking through the front door.

The inside of the house was all metallic, The walls, the floors, the ceilings and the corridors.

"This is the spacecraft you and the Manassas traveled in?" The young knight concluded looking around.

The beastial children nodded. Milo and Panda Lee escorted their guest around their home. Naka observed that the interior was spacious for such a compact ship.

"This is a multipurpose room." The wolverine boy said. "When we were traveling it was used for recreation."

"Over here is our room." The black and white bear said to the wolf.

"You too are roommates. Very cozy. I can see why you like it here more than the city."

"Hue and Cassia did their best to make sure we were as comfortable as possible." Panda Lee said displaying some trinkets from their former lives on Counter Earth including pictures of Cody, Primrose, Minka and Arthur.

"And over here is Hue and Cassia's quarters. Hmm.... it won't open." Milo said as he pressed serval buttons next to the door's frame.

"Um... perhaps we should show Naka the bridge." Panda Lee said grabbing their paws and leading them away.

"Oh my." The young knight said as a door moved upward revealing the room behind it. There was a big window and two cylinder like platform with numerous circular controls around them.

The chubby wolverine boy stepped onto the one nearest the window while the panda girl stepped onto the other.

Milo started pressing a few buttons and the image on the window changed. "Now let's zoom out." The view changed to a generic picture of the planet. "And now let's see if there are life signs."

Red dots starting appearing all over the planet. Some clusters near the poles, some near the equator and some on the far reaches of the planet. The image then zoomed out showing Chaundoon's three moons and a mysterious dark one for a total of four.

"I think I am doing it wrong." Milo said pressing a few more buttons on the console. "Hey I didn't know we had four moons? I thought there were only three?"

Panda Lee pressed a button on her console. "Hue and Cassia could you come to the bridge please?"

About thirty seconds later a red tentacled eyeball and yellow tentacled eyeball entered the command center.

"Hon-hon!! Snacks!! You are back quite early." Hue said.

"And you brought company!" Cassia said.

"You two kind of sound surprised." Milo said noticing that alien couple seemed kind of unkempt like they were taken by surprise and rushed to throw something on.

"Mr and Mrs Manasass." The young knight said trying not to stare. "Nice to see you again."

"Yes this is what we look like without our disguises." The red eyeball said.

"So what is going on Hon-hon?" The yellow eyeball asked.

"One of our classmates is missing." Panda Lee replied.

"Abducted actually." Milo added. "We were trying to locate him."

"Starting point?"

"The home I share with Song." Naka said.

"That is going to be most difficult." The red eyeball said approaching the station Milo was at.

The red eyeball touched a panel right next to Milo.

The window, the stations on the bridge and all present faded away as the schematic for Chaundoon transitioned from a 2D image to a 3D image.

"See I thought you were doing it wrong." Panda Lee said as she, Milo, Naka, Hue and Cassia floated over the image.

Hue continued. "We can scan for life to determine if a planet is inhabited...."

"But looking for a specific inhabitant on the planet, that is a bit more difficult." Cassia said. "For instance where would you say Song is right now?"

"Is she in this population at the top of the planet? Or this cluster here near the equator or this other one on the far side of this world?"

"Neither." Panda Lee responded.

"Why is that Hon-hon?"

"Because we know that she is in World Seven right now."

"Exactly right."

"So without some way to narrow down the search parameters, it is like trying to find a specific grain of sand within a desert or a drop of water within a ocean." The young knight said as the 3D image disappeared and all reappeared on the bridge.

"We are most sorry." Hue an Cassia said in unison.

"Us two Naka. We thought we could be of assistance." Milo said.

A alert was placed for the beastial couple's missing child.

Naka and Song searched for their missing charge. They were aided by the Manassases and any person that had transportation even Titanous, Shira and Gia aided in the search. Hours turned into a day, then two days and then three days.

March 4th YOE 35

10:35 AM Wilderness...

"Such a unique canyon!" Minka exclaimed walking carefully behind her akita. "The diamond shaped formations on each side truly make it out to be a site to behold."

The assassin looked at both sides of the large ditch they were in and nodded before continuing forward. "It is a great place for an ambush despite being quaint."

"It has to be the diamonds. Too bad we can't take one back with us." The she monkey started to say as the two came to a dead stop. Midnight Black was fixated on a large boulder and broad tree behind it that blocked their path. The two looked out of place in the canon of diamonds.

Suddenly a very large blue monster transformed from the boulder to stare down menacingly at the cheeky monkey girl and her akita. The creature appeared to be some type of lizard, narrow eyes, angular nose, sharp claws, two tails and scales all over its body especially its back; it looked quite formidable and dangerous. Emphasis on dangerous.

"Good golden morning fine sir. I was wondering if you can help me? We are looking for a friend of ours who has gone missing." Minka asked politely moving in front of her dark canine to present a photo of a brown haired teen.

"We are wondering if you might have seen him?" The black akita said walking up behind the cheerful monkey.

The creature grit its teeth, grumbled as it sized up the trespassers in its territory. The smiley monkey girl in the yellow shirt and brown shorts and her male akita in a metal like shirt, brown pants and long black jacket that appeared to hold numerous sharp objects all at the ready. Wait! Was this the canid creature that had raided that nest of cave needles last year and wore one of them as a one piece suit?!

"WELL?!" The assassin asked breaking the creature's concentration.

A sweat drop formed right below one of the creature's horns as it quickly shook its head no and backed away as if realizing it would be most unwise to challenge this duo, especially the dark canine with the fearless look and intense stare.

"How about him?" Midnight Black said holding up a picture of a hedgehog boy.

"Mr. Akita, Arthur isn't missing; unlike Kiwi, we know where he is. We just can't figure out how to get to him or get him out of where he is."

*Naka I have located Midnight Black and Minka.* Overwatch announced.

"Yes, I see them. Are they shaking down some of the locals?!" Naka said as the blue prototype landed nearby.

The knight stepped out and approached his former colleagues.

"Golden morning to you Black, Minka. So how goes the search?" The former leader of the nomadic colony asked.

The assassin turned to stare at a short walking tree like creature who flailed its limbs and shook its head trying desperately not to enrage the akita.

"It's not." He replied.

"We have made quite a few acquaintances, but none of them has seen Kiwi." Minka volunteered.

9:58 PM Song and Naka's home...

Chaundoon's suns had finally decided to set as a white she cat met with her wolf at the home they shared.

"I have spoken with every one in the city and all our allies who helped search, please tell me you have some sort of news... any news?" Song said greeting her maned wolf.

"I am afraid not." The knight said shaking his head. "The knight core is still stretched rather thin, the forces we can spare are scouring the planet as we speak. Milo, Panda Lee and the Manassases have even joined the search."

"Theresa, Oliver, Titanous, Shira and Gia are searching as well." The she cat said.

"Communication on this world is quite primitive and we just don't have the technology to establish a viable instantaneous network." Naka said leading Song into their great room.

"Naka I am finding it hard to go on. It is like Kiwi is the air I breathe."

"I feel like I am suffocating too. The not knowing is killing me." The knight admitted embracing the chakat. As the mood in their living quarters abruptly changed. "Song what if he is never found?"

"Don't say that I love him as if he were one of my own Naka."

*WUUUUUUUUD*

The cat and wolf beastial heard the noise as they turned to see what it was, they found a brown haired preteen boy lying on the floor just beyond the front entrance of their home. His body very still.

"KIWI!" The white feline screamed.

The tan and brown canine ran over and knelt down to the human placing his paw on the boy's arm and neck. "He has a pulse but it is weak." The wolf said.

10:12 PM Infirmary...

"The boy is alive. Just dehydrated and hungry; he hasn't had anything food or water for the last several days." A pretty grey female bat said to the anxious pair.

"Can we see him?" Song asked.

"We have a lot of questions." Naka added.

The she bat lead the two back to a examination table where they found their charge resting.

"How do you feel?" The cat asked her boy.

"Glad to be home."

"What is the last thing you remember?" Naka asked noticing that Kiwi was wearing the same pants he had the day he disappeared.

"I had gone into the kitchen to fetch some things. I thought I heard a sound at the front door. I went to investigate and then... and then.... I was grabbed and whisked away."

"Did you see who took you?" Song asked.

"No. It happened so fast. Um, how long was I gone?"

"Three days." The she cat said as she tried to resist the urge to hug her boy until he had been cleared by medical.

"Do you know where you were taken?" The maned wolf said trying to gather as much information as he could.

"No."

"What did it look like?"

"It was a place of darkness, isolation, desolation and loneliness." Kiwi responded as Nezera moved over his body with a triangular scanning device. "I wanted to yell, I wanted to scream, to run away as far as I could but I couldn't move, I could barely breathe."

"How was it that you were able to escape boy?" The grey lady bat asked.

"I don't know. I think I was let go."

"More like returned. There is a faint scent about you." Nezera said sniffing.

"Can you identify it?" Song asked the female bat.

"No, I can't. How do you feel Kiwi?"

"Weak." The boy replied to the life support attendant.

"What if what was returned to us is not the REAL Kiwi?" Nezera said putting it out there.

"You mean like invasion of the body snatchers? I saw that on the hub awhile back, it was quite freaky!" The preteen said. "Wait, you mean like I am not the real me?!"

"I suppose that I should make sure that you are you." The vampire bat casually said.

"Um miss Nezera will it hurt?"

"Maybe." The vampire bat said licking her fangs. "Scared?"

Kiwi nodded as the she bat clasped each of his hands in her paws.

She then leered at the brown haired boy. "Look into my eyes."

Kiwi did as ordered. Nezera's eyes had turned bright white! He tried to blink, tried to look away but he just couldn't.

"You are under my influence boy and are incapable of lying."

"Yes master."

"Whom do you serve?"

"Serve? I serve you master and only you."

"Good answer." Naka whispered as Song shushed him.

"Tell me how you have come to know Song and Naka." The vampire bat ordered.

"I met Ms. Song while trying to buy a present for my mother."

"And Naka?"

"After the fall of the empire. He was organizing survivors into a caravan."

"Whom do you consider the most important people in your life right now?"

"Naka and Song they have become my guardians and surrogate parents. We have been through a lot together and I love them both very much. And they love each other very much I try to catch them when the do; it is very entertaining."

The wolf and cat blushed at their charge's very truthful admission.

"Just think not two years ago it was almost unheard of beastials caring about and for a human child." Nezera said releasing Kiwi from her hypnosis.

"Or a night creature becoming a healer and life support officer." The knight said to the lady vampire.

Nezera gently bit Kiwi on his right shoulder withdrawing a few drops of his blood. She used the triangular device to analyze it and compared it with the infirmary records.

"Did I pass?" The preteen boy asked.

She nodded. "That is 110% your Kiwi. Get some fluid and food in him and he will be fine."

The boy's beastial guardians nodded.

"And bathe him. He needs it. I would also recommend some stress counseling with Ms. Una considering what he has been through."

"Thank you miss Nezera!" Kiwi said standing wobbly."

"Now off with the three of you. His blood was quite delicious and I find myself craving more."

11:10 PM Naka and Song's bedroom...

"....and then the forest sprite cornered the two tree cutters." Song said reading from a book as she hugged her boy. "Please miss we just needed wood to heat our homes! One of the two retorted."

"But you cut down a quarter of my forest!!" The sprite angrily retorted.

"Well we needed a lot of wood." The second wood cutter responded. "Please have mercy!"

The sprite grit her teeth. "You two denuded my forest and as punishment you will now become part of it!" With that sprite dust fell upon the two wood cutters and they shrunk and their bodies transformed. What emerged from their clothing was no longer human but animal- a raccoon and otter to be exact. The two looked at each other, then the sprite and ran into the forest to begin their new lives.

"That was a beautiful story Song." Naka said sitting down on their bed. "But isn't Kiwi a little old for that sort of thing?"

"It worked didn't it?" The chakat asked while she picked up her sleeping boy and placed him in the center of the bed.

"He is very exhausted." The maned wolf said lying down to face the boy while the she cat crawled in behind him. "Something concerns me though."

"What's that?"

"What happened to us this past week and our boy.... I wonder if this is the start of something bad?" The knight asked. "Milo and Panda Lee have noticed that a fourth moon has appeared in the night sky. Unlike the other three, this one is dark black."

"Regardless I am not letting Kiwi out of my site ever again." The she cat said snuggling her charge from behind. "The knight core also needs to open an investigation."

"About that Song...." The maned wolf said as his love rested her boy's head to her chest, wrapped her arms around him and her taur forepaws around his legs.

March 5th YOE 35

7:10 PM Lily Blossom's Massage Parlor...

"Alright class this evening we are going to explore the sensual spectrum of our own and our partner's bodies. This is a bit more then just a erotic massage." The goat lady said as she began her workshop. "Lune, Milton and Naka I need you to lie face down on the mats. Mitsa, Melinda and Song climb onto their lower backs around their hips. Now focus on each other's gaze, each other's touch, each other's breath."

"Um, miss Blossom what is the purpose of this exercise?" A confused preteen asked the healer.

"It is to weave together the different energies of the male and female body so each can achieve a stronger deeper connection with their partner."

"So is that is why they are naked?" The preteen observed.

"Yes. And it is quite unusual for participants to bring their younglings. But I think I can make an exception. Here remove your clothing and climb on to Song's back.

As the chakat straddled her wolf's back. Kiwi straddled hers. Well, her taur back.

"Now use your palm, paw fingers, the back of your paw and move it up and down in this area. Feel each other with every inch of your bodies. Apply slight pressure between the shoulder blades they store a lot of stress. Now stroke gently along the spine."

GAAAAAH!!

AHH!!!

"THIS, THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!"

The adult males in the workshop called out as they realized how sensitive that area of the back was and how very erogenous.

ROWRR!!

Song called out as Kiwi stroked hers. The boy was still a little embarrassed that his guardians included him in their private workshop, but he was equally fascinated about what they did when he was not present and it looked like that wasn't going to change for the foreseeable future either because neither would let their charge be on his own for any length of time in case what happened decided to happen again at some point. Deep down inside Kiwi didn't have a problem with that; he liked watching Song and Naka express their love for each other and at night when he occasionally caught them REALLY expressing their love for each other.

7:35 PM (Counter Earth)

Song's Flower Emporium...

"Wow this is very impressive!!!" A brown haired preteen exclaimed as he examined a rather large florist kiosk near the city center of World Three. "Miss Song you weren't kidding when you said that your were going to give that mean old Mr. Ganus some competition!"

"Kiwi?" A beautiful white-grey chakat looked up from watering some plants in the back of her stand. She was wearing a blue shirt accented small white apron on her humanoid torso and a yellow bonnet on her head. "Yeah that prejudiced old binturong needed some beast to put him in his place. Wait, you can't be here right now! Human movement and activity has been strictly curtailed through out the empire!"

"You think that would prevent me from attending my friend's grand opening?" He said placing his hands on the counter.

The kiosk was a 20 x 20 white wooden stand with a counter in the front and many, many plants through out. It provided a unique service to its clientele especially at this time of the year.

"But any human breaking the master's curfew will be severely punished!" Song said to her evening customer.

"Let's just say that I had a special, special reason for being here."

"You mean like supporting a friend?" The chakat asked.

"That I would like to buy some flowers for my mother and father."

"Sure what is the occasion?"

"Family day. A new holiday I created to honor my parents. Besides I figured out how to be out and about and not be noticed." He said showing her a black hat-mask that covered his face. It also kind of matched the long grey jacket, mittens and boots he was wearing.

"Well that might work for a while anyway, I think I have just the thing."

Song moved toward the back of her stand to complete Kiwi's order while her friend observed. Unbeknownst to the little human, he and the chakat were being watched by another who snickered at their conversation.

Song returned to the front of her stand holding a bouquet of multicolored roses- orange, pink, lavender, yellow and red wrapped in a pink bow. "Here you are now take this and... NAKA!"

"For me? You are too kind Ms. Song. And how are you this cold winter evening? Congratulations on the grand opening by the way."

The knight was junior class rank, fairly new to Sir Wolf's wolf pack in World Three. He was dressed in a blue full length body suit with light flexible armor on his shoulders and torso complimented by a helmet, oh and he was standing right next to Kiwi! He still looked dashing though.

The was a brief pause between the two. Kiwi looked at the chakat and the brown and tan maned wolf. Both were fixating on each other. He was brought back to reality as the she cat gave him the bouquet and sent him on his way. Well tried to anyway.

"Actually it is for Kiwi here." Song said handing the roses to the masked boy.

The junior knight watched as the hooded masked citizen outstretched his arms and took hold of the bouquet. He couldn't quite make out who or what was in the jacket. But he had his suspicions. The jacket was well worn and its occupant was fully covered down to its paws.

"Thank you." Kiwi said accepting it and nodding to chakat and the wolf.

"New employee?" Naka asked Song.

"He sometimes helps me." Song said to the junior knight.

"Well nice to meet you Song's employee." He said holding out his right paw.

The boy not wanting to draw suspicion on himself extended his mitten to meet the knight's paw who took it and shook for a moment before Kiwi took his hand back. But he was a little premature because he only managed to remove his hand, the mitten stayed!

Song tried to stifle a gasp when the boy's right hand was fully exposed to the winter air.

"Hmm...." The wolf said as he looked at the hand that emerged from the mitten. Naka moved to the hood of the jacket and forcibly dropped it to examine the mask which he then removed. Underneath was a ape brown shag fur around his face, small nose, green eyes, unkempt hair. "Your glove Pee Wee."

"Um thanks and it is Kiwi." The boy said retrieving his mitten.

"So tell me Song, do you pay your helper well?" The junior knight said returning his attention to the white chakat.

The she beast nodded. "Why do you ask?"

"The lips on his false face doesn't synch correctly with his voice. Probably something wrong with the image projector he is using." The wolf said making a stoic face.

Song's eyes went wide as did Kiwi's.

"I knew pretty much the moment I cornered you. The nose knows." The junior knight said staring at the human boy he had just made. "You know homo sapiens' movements and activities are curtailed right now per order of our master um... um." The junior knight said as he tried to scan the false ape's tracking chip.

*beep* *beep*

"Oh ho ho what do we have here? A chip blocker!" The knight shot Kiwi with the clothes removal device that was built into his scanner removing his jacket, shirt and undershirt, pants, boots and underwear exposing him to the cold winter air.

As he started shivering, Naka removed what looked like a modified bandaid from his left shoulder exposing it which was then promptly scanned.

"Kiwi Goodfellow. Mother is Sparrow Goodfellow and father is Newt Goodfellow. Residents of the basement and model citizens until today." The junior knight said to the shivering naked boy.

"Naka!" Song pleaded.

"You are in quite a lot of trouble little one. Disguising yourself to look like a beastial to break curfew and then there is the tracking chip blocker you used which is highly illegal."

"Please mister knight I had a good reason!" Kiwi pleaded.

"You were trying to buy something nice for a special someone or someones am I right?"

The terrified boy nodded.

"You do know that punishment for violation of our master's order is quite severe." Naka said to the startled boy.

"How severe?" Kiwi squeaked questioned.

"For a youngster like you? Fifty lashings minimum. Then a paddling until you bottom is red and swollen. Maybe even experimentation... and then we come for your relatives." The wolf said sternly to the boy who looked like he was going to wet himself. He could smell the scent of extreme fear from the boy. "Does your overseer know that you are here?"

"Naka, I speak for the boy. He needed a present for his parents." The female chakat said retrieving Kiwi's clothing from where it had reappeared and passing it to him.

"That he couldn't find in his own area?!" The wolf asked the cat.

"Ms. Song has the best flowers in the city." The 'false ape' responded politely as he considered running.

"Please Naka..." The chakat pleaded. "Except for this transgression, he is a good boy and a model citizen."

"So model that he and his parents are named after animals? Well, it is very hard for second class citizens at the moment." He said starting to show empathy. "And will be for some time."

"Yes mister Naka...." The boy pleaded.

The junior knight considered what would happen to the boy if he took him prisoner. The master would most likely make an example of him as a message to all second class citizens.

"I will think about it, but I want to know where you got that image projector and scanner blocker; there is a black market on these things."

"You mean you want me to show you?" The brown haired boy asked. He looked at the stern looking knight and then the she cat.

"Apparently you and Ms. Song are good friends- she has decided to speak for you- which means any further transgressions on your behalf and she will be held responsible."

"Yes sir." Kiwi said lowering his head.

"If I didn't know any better- I would say that you are trying to impress your superiors, perhaps to get noticed?" Song said tipping her bonnet at the junior knight.

"Alright Mr. Goodfellow I want you to show me where you obtained your disguise. In return I will contemplate your fate."

Kiwi noted that he was not instructed to leave his roses at Song's stand. That was a good sign right?

"Alright you have me." Kiwi said holding out his wrist. Instead, the knight took his hand.

"Which way?"

"Wait! I am coming with you!" Song said removing her apron and bonnet. She quickly put on a coat and ran after the beastial knight and terrified boy.

Kiwi led the wolf and the she cat the four miles from the center of World Three to its outskirts, the basement.

"This is your neighborhood?" Song asked as she placed her paw on the boy's shoulder.

"Almost." Naka said assuredly.

"Not all of us can live like preferred citizenry." The human said to the cat beastial.

"Well this neighborhood looks nicer than what I have seen on the hub." The she cat said looking at the tired, worn red and brown looking buildings.

There didn't seem to be anyone around most likely due to the cold weather or was it the knight of Sevren following one of their residents?

"Where Mr. Goodfellow?" The maned wolf ordered.

"The orange and brown building over there with the black stairs in front." Kiwi said.

"Over here." The wolf ushered the boy and cat into a narrow alley. The trio watched as a man in his forties emerged from the building. He was wearing a green jacket with a puffy hood similar to Kiwi's. He waved at someone on the inside before looking around and proceeding down the stairs into the street.

"Looks like he is also breaking the curfew too knight." Song observed.

"And it looks like he made a purchase that would allow him to do so. Mr. Goodfellow is there something I need to know to gain entrance into that illicit establishment?" The junior knight whispered to the boy.

The preteen nodded and gestured for the knight to come nearer he then whispered something into the maned wolf's ear.

"This just might be enough to get you off of the hook Mr. Goodfellow."

"Naka shouldn't you call for assistance? That is a human establishment; you would be the only beastial in there." The white chakat warned.

"That is why Kiwi is going to loan me his image projector aren't you?"

"Yes, sure." The preteen said to the wolf.

Song and her friend watched as the junior knight engaged the projector to disguise his face and body. He left the alley, proceeded across the street and knocked on the door. When it opened he whispered the password to the shady individual who answered.

"I need assistance my image projector is not working correctly." He said as he was ushered inside.

The junior knight was out of site for a minute, then three, five, ten and then twenty.

"All this to try to catch up to his colleagues." Song said rolling her eyes.

"Catch up?" Kiwi asked.

"He has spoken to me often how he wants to move up the ranks to catch up with Biff, Looper and Dusty the other knights he works with. He can be rather overly ambitious at times."

"You like him don't you?"

"Maybe a little." The she cat said to the boy as several people exited the building Naka had entered twenty minutes ago... quickly there was a white explosion inside and then green foam leaked out of the doors, windows and any other crevices.

The little human looked at the she beastial who then returned the look of shock.

"Naka!!" The white she cat said charging toward the building.

Kiwi paused for a moment and the followed his friend. The two had to wade through this green goo that was on the floor, walls, ceiling. It covered everything.

"Junior knight Naka!!" The boy called out.

"Mrph mmm mmm!!!" Some one responded from deep within the building.

"Kiwi. I heard something." Song said placing her paw on the boy's shoulder.

He watched her ears twitch as she tried to hone in on the sound. She then grabbed him and moved toward the rear of the building where they found him plastered to the wall. His body covered in the green goo.

"He is suffocating!" The boy shouted.

Song picked and held the preteen just high enough to reach the humiliated junior knight. Where Kiwi removed enough of the sticky stuff so he could breathe.

"Naka are you alright?"

"No. They made me the minute I entered the building." He said dejected. "The disguise didn't help."

"What is all this?" Kiwi said as he tried to de-stick the embarrassed wolf down from the wall.

"Them erasing any evidence of what was here."

"And making you look like a rookie?" Song said crossing her arms.

"Yeah that too." The wolf said to the cat and human. "If you two hadn't show up when you did. I would have suffocated. Thank you both; I am in your debt."

"We will keep that in mind." The chakat said trading glances with the preteen. "But let's first have a conversation about you being too bold and too reckless."

"That will have to wait. I going to call this in." Naka said. "You two best get out of here."

"But won't you get chewed out for acting on your own?" The little human asked the wolf.

"Worse. Now you two get and Mr. Goodfellow I will be checking in on you from time to time to make sure you are obeying the rules."

"That might be a good idea Naka, you can lead by example." The she beast said.

(Thank you my friends) Naka thought to himself as he watched the chakat escort the little human home.

Biff and Looper soon arrived.

"So what happened here?" Biff asked the maned wolf.

"I was running down a lead on a illegal ring here in the basement." Naka said wiping more of the green gook off of his tarnished uniform.

"Really?" Looper asked emerging from the building holding a pad he was using to scour the property for evidence. "Looks to me that you attempted to engage without calling for assistance."

"That was very dangerous and because of your mistake those who were here erased all signs of their presence while on the way out the door." Biff said chastising him. "Nice job junior knight."

The maned wolf cast his eyes at the ground as he was berated by his superiors. He had come close to losing his life today. But it was not all bad news....

"I have something!" Looper said showing Biff the pad he was holding had detected... a name.

"Deer-feeder?! Who or what is Deer-feeder?" Biff asked looking at his colleagues.
