Nate, an anthro Whitetail Deer is bored senseless during one of the endless lectures at college. He is academically gifted, possessed of a sharp and insightful mind - so he finds this class particularly boring. Regrettably, his partner is not so gifted - having fallen behind on his grades, he's got to catch up or risk being kicked out of college. Will the wandering thoughts of the Whitetail lead to the young Colt's undoing?

Once again dear readers, I'll put forth a little excerpt of a new tale, see if people are interested in it or not, please don't hestitate to tell me if you think it has potential - or is a waste of time - I present...

Nathaniel, or Nate, as he preffered, was bored to tears. Sitting in the college lecture hall, he idly clicked his pen again and again, until a young stallion sitting next to him stared at him.

"Click that once more, and I'll shove it so far up your tail, every time you open your muzzle, you'll click..."

Nate's eyes crinkled and a smile spread across his lips. "Oh James, you promise?"

Reaching out, the stallion closed his fingers over the smaller Whitetail's muzzle and held it shut, peering at him from behind heavy brows.

"I'm trying to concentrate..."

Making muffled murmuring sounds, the young Buck only grinned and crinkled his eyes again mischieviously.

"Keep it up Nate, you won't like what'll happen..." James whispered, his hold tightening.

Released by James, Nate smirked and winked at the stallion before he sighed and leaned back in the uncomfortable chair.

"I'm so bored!" Nate whined softly. "I'd rather be studying biology - equine biology at that..."

With a snort, the stallion glared at him again. "One more word, and I'll not give you a private lesson..."

Nate's eyes widened before he clapped both paws to his muzzle and stiffled his giggles.

"I'm serious..." Came the grunt from the stallion.

Nate stared wide eyed, then his muzzle fell open as his paws slapped the desk before him. "You _are_serious..."

"Yes, Nate, I am - I'm falling behind in my courses, and you know what'll happen if I don't buckle down and get serious! They'll terminate my scholarship and I'll be out - you want that?"

Flattening his ears, Nate quivered and looked downcast. "No..."

Feeling bad, Jake reached out and pet Nate on the shoulder. "Its okay, just... please, let me concentrate...I need to pass this course..."

Nate crossed his arms on the desk then rested his chin on them, looking downcast and dejected.
