#18 of Syngeneia Kathairein

You like dark fantasy, dragons, adventure and a bit of romance?

You want to see the work of a professional video game writer?

You find AI's interesting?

This story of mine has all of that! Syngeneia Kathairein puts you in the shoes of Entropion, a purple dragon tasked to ''make the world right again''. (although he is a jackass in this prequel intro!) The view is set in first person view from Entropion's POV. This story is inspired by warcraft, forgotten realms, spyro the dragon and dragon age, among other things. AIdungeon's makeup is a bit messy, but > arrows denote saying or doing something. Part of the story is AI generated, please keep that in mind.

> You say "Koriza, do you have any ideas? " Koriza says you should knock the ice monsters in the geysers while she dampens their violent randomness. The two of you begin your task, and immediately the constructs notice you, and begin to attack. One of them grabs Koriza and is about to throw her into a geyser when she quickly uses fire magic to bend the super-heated stream. She loses control and the both of you are rapidly killed by blue hot fire. Good thing this is dreamscape. Soon you find yourself back in Catharsion's throne room. He likes fun of you "you know you only had to complete one training room? Just like you did with the light training" Koriza gnashes her fangs in frustration, but she bears it as she respects Catharsion immensely. > You say "We did really good then didn't we? I wonder if the room we failed was like master difficulty?" Catharsion nods. "I am surpri- Impressed! You two work together really well and progressed amazingly. " Catharsion opens a vortex in the floor to take you to consciousness of the world. "Wow.... " Koriza gasps as she looks in the vortex. "I have never seen such a thing!" You nod "I know right? Stuff will get weird!" You and Koriza hold claws and look into each others eyes and smile as you step in the portal. You arrive as pure energy in the consciousness of the world once again, for you it is a known experience with the consciousness balls and strands. For Koriza this is new, all senses melding together and seeing colors she wouldn't see in the normal world. "This place is... Beautiful..." She says in awe as you take her around the consciousness to show her how things work, and shielding her from the information overload using your own mental fortitude. You lead yourself and Koriza's energy stream to your consciousness which is strongly connected to one nearby. "See Koriza? That is your consciousness. Going in them if dangerous when unsure. We need to deduce where our target is" you inform her. > You look for a thinly connected strand to your consciousness leading to 7 tightly knit consciousnesses. You look for a consciousness with 7 tightly knit connections to it.

You find a nearly invisible thread that leads to one of the tightly knit consciousnesses. "This must be the 7 thrones..." > You say "Hey, Koriza? See that very dull one connected to all the thrones? That is a dead consciousness. That must be the priest whom trained the thrones millennia ago!" Koriza nods. "It is... It is faint and barely even there, but I can sense it." She squints as she concentrates on the consciousness orb to enter it. Koriza is good at this. A spiritual talent. You and Koriza go to the matte orb and enter this consciousness. However, it is so heavily damaged and fragmented due time and possible reincarnations of the soul. You notice 7 strands connected to it. "Koriza, I think we have to pin down the missing thrones manually" you telepathically tell her energy. You find the missing 3 thrones by trial and error. Their energy is very busy and strained but the 3 are close to each other "Good, we got the info we need. You sure you want to meet the prime evil, Apocalion?" You communicate to Koriza's energy. "Yes... I'll be ready..." She answers back, her voice filled with doubt and fear. You prepare yourself for the final task. You remember the location of the consciousnesses and you begin to follow them to their owner. Apocalion's consciousness is the largest one. The darkest one... you fly towards it and pull Koriza with you. Soon you are in a ruined temple floating in a dark void. you and Koriza regained your normal forms. > You say "Remember he can't harm us as he is still imprisoned in the Bloedholte silo. Stuff will get scary though!" As on Que, a colossal dragon looms over your position. He is blacker than thought possible. A primordial darkness draining all hope from whomever lays their eyes on it. A single purple dragon eye looks at you and the other is an eye socket sprouting a waterfall of blood. You remain silence and keep Koriza close. Apocalion's visage emits sound without moving his maw. "Oh? Back so soon Entropion? You disappoint me. Dark Siphon could've made you like me. A GOD! You could've drained Disarria, everyone! That is what you are, what our power is for!" You know better than to emotionally react to the god of sadism. Koriza doesn't. She snaps at Apocalion "he is NOTHING like you! He is my dream prince! We are catalysts to each others worldviews!" Apocalion responds with demented laughter. "I will destroy you. shatter your worldview. crush your pathetic dreams! 'Cause I am smarter, you're just a martyr. now let me hear you scream!." Apocalion sings to frighten Koriza as many evil, occult styled eyes spawn in the room and stare at her. Koriza covers, you can't help as Apocalion mentally tortures her as any emotional investment will worsen this for her. Apocalion continues his sadistic mockery and sings "Cry all you want, kid! I'll just enjoy it. making you twist and squirm! I took your life's file. I'll make you watch while Everything you love burns!" The temple crumbles under Koriza's feet. Falling in the darkness endlessly as Apocalion sings his psychotic song. As Koriza slams on a perfect dark ground, multiple surfaces light up, showing the scene where Korisana is getting violated while younger Koriza watches. Apocalion continues with glee. "Listen, they're shrieking. What little weaklings! Dance to my puppet strings! I'll use their power this final hour Service to their new king!" Apocalion laughs maniacally as Koriza whimpers and cries. "Am I too vicious? Oh, how delicious! Let's try another game! The rules are simple. it's kill or be killed! fight back or you'll be maimed! " you feel for Koriza, but you may not interfere as she is clawing around her pointlessly. Apocalion shows vistas of his ideal world. A hellscape of pain. He keeps singing while Koriza is chained in place by chains of shadow, forced to watch. "Clipping at the seams of your hopes and dreams! unstitch the tapestry! There's no "bigger story". only the glory of my calamity. I've got the power, The world I'll devour, Then make it all anew! Endless destruction, That is my function, And it's all thanks to you!" Soon after that,a hole emitting light opens and you and Koriza get sucked in. Apocalion seems sad he can't torture you two.

"What is this? You broke from my hold! Impossible! I'll gain back control. I am you god!" You can't hear him finish his song but you love that fact. Soon your and Koriza float around in a soothing area of pure light. The Singularity, a white dodecahedron that talks bu emitting magic energy from the runes on its faces greets you once more. It emits waves of light and shoots a ray to Koriza. Although removing trauma is impossible without mind erasure, the Singularity have Koriza the gift of no longer reliving her trauma involuntarily. However, it's effects will always linger. Koriza seems relaxed. The horrors of her past seem distant now! The Singularity continues. It informs you that there are indeed 8 dragon species, not 7. You and the thrones are in grave danger. The Singularity infuses you with the fabricated memory of where Deimodo is! It then tells you to make haste and restore Ietros! Soon you and Koriza wake up in your bed. > You say "Oof. That was a trip... we'll talk on our way to Deimodo. As the Singularity said, we must go as soon as possible! Eat and drink a bit and we shall depart." Koriza nods and you do the same. You eat a bit of mystery meat and drink a bit of milk. You feel ready to go. "I'm ready! Let's go!" You exclaim. "Hold on there! I have to talk with you first." You nod. "What is it?" "Well, I'm coming with you of course, but I want you to promise me something." > You say "Depends, be quick about it. This dread of impending doom is not helping my mental state. " "Yeah, that's fair. Okay, I want you to promise me that no matter what happens, you'll never give up. No matter how hopeless it seems, you won't give in. You'll keep fighting to the bitter end." You laugh. "That's a pretty tall order, but if it helps motivate you for some reason then sure. I promise I won't give up." Koriza nods and replies "Thanks. Now let's go!" You and Koriza are en route to the instructed location. You turn to her as you got some time to talk "you are my wife and my muse Koriza. You give me strength... about that.... was Apocalion as horrible as you expected?" You ask her. Her sister killed herself after all... she had to relive the moment. Koriza sighs > You say "That is another reason we cannot give up, but you already know that. Uh... did you just notice that? As if we are being watched..." Koriza nods "Yeah, I noticed it too. It's like a voice in my head... watching us..." You mutter to yourself "I thought the singularity said it was watching over us... it always does that though. I don't feel anything malicious, probably just a bird" Koriza agrees. Soon you see a a rocky hill ending in a cliff with Deimodo and a few diamond dragon soldiers around a giant but bizarre device. It looks like a purple metallic pentagonal pillar horizontally held up by a sturdy leg. A magenta crystal sticks from the front and cyan lines run over the pillar. You spot 3 dodecahedron cages where the 3 last thrones must be at. The cages are connected to the device, embedded on the back of the pillar. > You say "Uh oh.... he is using the thrones to charge his magical weird cannon thingy isn't he? " Koriza nods "Yeah, that's what it looks like...." You reply "Well, better think of something fast then..." Not quick enough. The cannon fires to the distance, in the direction of the shadow schism! The sky turns purple as a blaring blast makes the sky roar and the ground shake! Soon the ray hits the region in the distance and a faraway explosion can be seen. You look at Koriza and gasp. "Just.... wow...." you just saw a super-weapon fire. Destruction you didn't deem possible until now... > You say "Did you just see that? Deimodo just became death. Destroyer of worlds! " Koriza replies "Yeah. I saw it. Just wow....." You ask "So, what are we going to do about it?" Koriza replies "We're gonna kill him and everyone working on it!" You nod, as you begin heading towards the device through the foliage.

The guards rapidly began working on dismantling the weapon for transport. You and Koriza want to attack before they can get away. The weird feeling of being watched flares up again. > You say "Koriza, can we keep the plan simple? You keep the guards off of me as I engage Deimodo. With your new flame magic and military expertise this should be easy for you right?" Koriza replies "I don't see why not. I mean, I should be able to protect myself from the guards. I'll probably be fine, you just need to be careful with Deimodo." You nod and head out towards the immediate vicinity. You head around the foliage and see a lone guard watching over the liquor. The device looks of a totally otherworldly design. You slither up to him and put your hand over his mouth. As you advance to Deimodo Koriza starts a ruckus with her fire magic to keep the guards off of you. > You say "Deimodo! It is over for you and the theocracy! The EFPL and Korizan fleets will easily end your insurgency. Why do you stand against me and the 7 thrones?!" Deimodo looks at you growling. "Entropion! I should've known! Enemy of Ietros! I took care about your shadow schism mess! This is how you wage war! The thrones were too weak to se-" you interrupt the giant white dragon by throwing a mud ball in his face. "Whatever dip-tater, less monologue and more fighting!" He looks shocked that you interrupted him. He replies "Mud ball? How primitive. I'll make sure your bones are ground to a pulp and used for fertilizer!" He rushes at you with a roar. He swings his claw at your head, you manage to block it in time. You punch him in the jaw with your other hand, causing some damage. He attempts to bite your head off, but you leap out of the way. You hear Eleos' voice in your head as she telepathically contacts you. "Enty, he is a very formidable opponent, but do not kill him! It is against the holy plan" > You attack Deimodo with a ice shard spell. You cast a spell and some of the water in the air comes together in the form of a shard of ice. You shoot it at his wing joint causing him to lose flight capability. He falls to the ground with a thud. "Not so high and mighty now are you!" He gets up and roars, he swings his tail at you. Deimodo grits his teeth "it's clear you got talent. Too bad you are on the wrong side!" Deimodo uses his racial breath ability, which are psychoactive sounds for a white dragon. His roar makes your vision go blurry as you feel intense, unnatural panic set in. > You focus on your light magic to form a protective shield and shut out the hostile sound. You focus your mind and a protective barrier appears in front of you.

The roar does nothing to you. You cast a spell and summon a gust of negative energy, hitting him dead on. You continue with more offensive spells while he charges at you. He tries to defend and grab you but you outmaneuver him. You could go in for the kill! > You harness all your hatred to cast the deadly bleeders curse. Sanquinolentia! When you line up your claws to make the gesture, Eleos pushes your arm away so it misses! She must've been following you! Eleos reminds you that Deimodo is not to be killed! Koriza, who meanwhile did a number on the guards joins in. "Yeah Eleos what is this?!" Eleos sighs as she walks over to the weapon with the 3 dodecahedron cages with the 3 thrones inside. Eleos flies up to one of the cages. "I am the aspect of mercy... but, look..." Eleos activates one of the devices and it rapidly sucks in Deimodo! You gasp. "Wait, if that one was empty... Deimodo is the throne of justice isn't he?! That empty cage was a misdirection of his?" "Diligence, Themis is justice. I'm sorry, but I had to intervene. You are still a bit feisty with your dark powers, Entropion." Eleos is not angry with you, at all. Koriza raises a good point "why did Deimodo carry an empty cage? To recapture you?" Eleos sighs and nods. She explains how Deimodo lost his way long ago. A capture is needed until he can be reformed. > You say "It's Apocalion's unrelenting hatred that made Deimodo break, wasn't it? " "Yes, and that is why I am mercy. Apocalion's hatred was so powerful he nearly destroyed the world. You think you hate Deimodo, but you don't even hold a candle to Apocalion's hatred." You are still angry with Deimodo, but it mirrors what you saw Malediction doing to you, Koriza and Disarria.
