#9 of Syngeneia Kathairein

You like dark fantasy, dragons, adventure and a bit of romance?

You want to see the work of a professional video game writer?

You find AI's interesting?

This story of mine has all of that! Syngeneia Kathairein puts you in the shoes of Entropion, a purple dragon tasked to ''make the world right again''. (although he is a jackass in this prequel intro!) The view is set in first person view from Entropion's POV. This story is inspired by warcraft, forgotten realms, spyro the dragon and dragon age, among other things. AIdungeon's makeup is a bit messy, but > arrows denote saying or doing something. Part of the story is AI generated, please keep that in mind.

Abysmalia is obviously underweight so his greed angers you. You are about to snap at him again, but stop yourself when you see Abysmalia's reaction. She briefly smiles at you. You see her scales are dry and cracked in some places, she probably needs water too. You fetch a bucket and push it to Redsamuru "go find the lady some water if you want to be so chivalrous" you sneer at Redsamuru. He gives you a dirty look then leaves. You ask Abysmalia if this awful city has anything edible for you to fetch for her. She tells you no, but thanks you for offering. Apparently she hasn't eaten anything in a week, You tell her your own story about how you survived after the fall of Bloedholte. You tell her you survived the wild, you know how to scrap food. You grab a basket and head outside, alone. You look close in dark holes of this shanty town, you know mushrooms should be close. You find some in a pile of dung. You also find some in a pile of rotten vegetables. You know what you are doing, you fly up higher and look for edible plants growing on the shacks. You find some badly growing plants in a shack with a tarp for a roof. You come back with three types of plants and some mushrooms and Abysmalia is genuinely grateful. You spend the night talking to her, telling her about the various places you visited and the people you met as she tells you about herself. Like you she was orphaned, she was less lucky as she has no siblings. Redsamuru is cranky, complaining Abysmalia didn't even give him a blowjob for the water he brought her. You chuckle "well that would be a nice gift for you" you joke. He swears at you and leaves to find somewhere to sleep. "Hey Abysmalia, you're a girl so you can answer this. Do you find Redsamuru's fedora to be good looking?" You ask, snickering at how retarded it looks. "His hat? I'm not really attracted to him." She answers. You're relieved, she isn't going to fall in love with your butt-headed partner. Butt-headed That reminds you of Endaklion, he always cursed at you if you did something stupid, it was a bit of a running gag. You miss Endak like crazy now. You fall asleep and have happy dreams for once in awhile. The next day you scavenge the city to add more food to Abysmalia's pantry. Redsamuru snorts "m'lady, when are we going to meet the resistance?!" You agree with Redsamuru.

Abysmalia tells you about the sprawling ancient catacombs under the city. Without directions you will surely get lost and die, but she knows the way to the resistance headquarters. The three of you set off, going deep into the earth. It is quite dark, and you curse the loss of your lantern. You're a little worried that the tunnel might collapse in this old city, but it seems pretty solid. Eventually you find a campfire. A large figure holds a sword, keeping watch. A smaller figure sits by the fire. "Halt! Who are you?" You stand near a light source to make your purple scales more visible "Entropion, one of the purple dragons" you say. Redsamuru says how you are with Abysmalia. The guard nods. "Come on through." You walk past them, into a large city of tents and shacks cobbled together from various materials. The guard calls back to you "Say, what is the Overlord up to?" You shrug and keep walking. You arrive at a larger building, clearly quite new compared to the ancient stone buildings you've been walking through. A figure with their back turned to you is stubbing out a cigarette on the door. You introduce yourself by name and both your titles: fiancee of princess Koriza and the title you are born with, being a purple dragon. He turns around. He is a young human with wild hair and a scruffy beard, dressed in the tattered remains of formal wear: great coat, cravat and shiny shoes all covered in mud and dirt. You recognize the Greatcoat immediately: it's the symbol of the royal military. This man once held great power and respect. Now he is a disheveled wreck, eyes red and bloodshot, posture that of a person broken by grief. Redsamuru misbehaves by asking the man if he had a long night of carnal pleasure. You facepalm. You attempt to be respectful and sympathetic towards the man. He stopped stubbing out his cigarette and looks at you, grief stricken. "Please, if you must make jokes, make them about me." You remain silent. "I have no right to be angry. I have lost everything. My wife, my son, my daughters, my friends, my..." He struggles to choke back tears. "Everyone I ever loved or cared about are all dead. I am alone." You remain silent, you don't know what to say to that. Redsamuru says how he should just kill himself to be done with it. "Why are you still alive?" You ask. "There's nothing keeping me alive. I am alone. I have nothing to live for, but I have nothing left to die for either." He looks at you both and says "You two are soldiers, you understand duty right?" You both nod. "Duty is the only thing keeping me alive. The thought that I must live to protect the royal family." You ask if he means the Korizan royals. He says he means the entire family, including you. He gives you a piercing look. "You will be the last of the line." You say that your mate, princess Koriza, is still alive. In fact you helped her kill the evil black dragon king Malediction. Abysmalia confirms your claim. Redsamuru grows bored and asks when you will be doing something. Abysmalia sighs at Redsamuru's manners and you explain how Redsamuru's messing with the lay stone got you teleported to Pezenstad. You say "now we need to wait 2 weeks until it recharges, but meanwhile we want to help you out and take the fight to the black dragon despotate ruling this city" You weigh your options. Redsamuru whined like a child "send us on a mission damn it" You get on your hands and knees and bow before him, mocking his behavior. "Apologies my king, I meant no disrespect." This shuts him up. You go on to explain that you don't have time for games, you need to gather allies to help overthrow the Black Dragon Hold. Abysmalia tells you to take the explosives disguised as fruit. You and Redsamuru are to commit an act of terrorism on the black dragon military! "You want us to blow up the black guard?" "No, no...I want you two to plant bombs that look like fruit and let THEM eat them. Then when they're done "enjoying themselves", kaboom!" This sounds like a good idea. Redsamuru says he has a plan. He explains how the city likely operates and speculates which area is the best to disrupt. He makes sense and knows what he is talking about.

You feel inclined to trust him. "Well I'm glad you finally found a job you like, let's go." Redsamuru shows the way and you walk through the slums. It smells like rotting garbage. You're disgusted by the sights of poverty in this city. You saw A LOT in Korizan, but not like this. The destitute are begging for food and children are fighting with each other. You ask Redsamuru which area you are headed to bomb. Redsamuru tells you that this is an old Korizan city, and those got sewers. They are obviously disused as Pezenstad has messy open sewers now. You walk down into the filth. You see everything from feces to rotten food to dead bodies being broken down into mud. It's a sickening stench of course, but nothing compared to what you will do today... You are still wondering if this is a good idea. You ask Redsamuru where the old sewer entrance would be. He points in the direction of an old boring brick wall, you punch a hole through it and enter. After 10 minutes of walking straight, you have to walk down some stairs into the sewer itself. It's dark but not too dark to see. As you walk through the disgusting water and mud, you just know you're going to be dirty when doing this mission. If you get out of it alive that is... It takes about a half hour to reach the sewers. Redsamuru and you start planting the bombs. They should bring down the entire city block above when sewer collapses. He hands you one. It's about the size of a melon and heavy. "What am I supposed to do with this?" You say. He yells at you for your incompetence and says you're supposed to be helping! You better not screw this up! You proceed to put them in various spots along the walkway. When you finish, you and Redsamuru leave as quick as possible. An explosion occurs, shaking the very ground you're on. A giant hole forms, destroying a city block worth of buildings. This includes multiple barracks! You see the carnage happening in front of you from where you're perched in a muddy puddle on top of a small mound. You see hundreds of black dragon soldiers dying. You see their bodies being blown to bits, blood going everywhere, and limbs ending bodies. You even see a few soldiers flying through the air! You jump in excitement. Though this ends quickly when a large piece of rubble almost crushes you to death. You and Redsamuru quickly return to Abysmalia's home. Abysmalia shows you a wide grin and says "I could hear the mayhem from here" Abysmalia continues and tells you she has something to show you. You return to the catacombs headquarters. Wounded soldiers are being attended to and their cries of agony echo throughout this place. You then get led into a special room. It is filled to the brim with corpses, all sizes and species! Abysmalia confesses she Is a necromantic witch. Redsamuru whispers to you "she crazy man" You just smile and nod, you don't want to be on this woman's bad side. She shows you a large black leather bound book. "This is the book of the dead" she says. "I keep records of everyone who dies fighting the Empire." She flips through a few pages and shows you some of the handwriting inside. "This was my sister" She says while pointing to an elegant sketch and some writing next to it. You ask her why she shows you this. Abysmalia intends to teach you necromancy! After the incident with the curse of wounds and Disarria you are wary of dark powers. "I was like you once" she says "I thought dark powers were to be feared. That was the old days, we are in a new age now, an age where necromancy can bring WORLD PEACE" You are skeptical but you will still learn from this powerful teacher. You ask Abysmalia if she knows about the curse of wounds, or, its power word name: Sanguinolentia. "Yes, I do" she says "that power word has been passed down for centuries within a powerful order of blood magicians. I'm not surprised a vampire knows it. I'm not surprised you know it either, since you seem to associate with vampires and undead creatures quite a bit". She is a little surprised though that you managed to survive using it. She takes out a small notebook and starts writing something in it. "I will remember that trick, thanks" "Is Sanguinolentia a difficult spell to use?"

You continue. "It's very difficult to cast for most. The words must be spoken perfectly and with the right amount of emotion and will. The symbols must be drawn with the right amount of focus and will. Most fail at one part or another. Even if the spell is cast perfectly, not many can handle the power of the words themselves." Abysmalia has faith in you and passes you a dead mouse. She says "purple dragons got talent! This should come naturally but try to raise this mouse from the dead" You raise the mouse from the dead. "Not bad" she says "however, you must be tired, it's a hard process". Indeed, it was tiring...like everything else seems to be with magic. Not wishing to create a big fuss but wishing to get some rest you excuse yourself and retire to your tent. Tomorrow, you will learn more magic! Redsamuru looks at Abysmalia and says "if you had more penis in you from nice guys like me, you would not be this mental" you watch on, wanting to see how this disrespect will play out. "Don't test me, Redsamuru. You want to have your "penis" in something? Stick it in your own arse". The two start fighting and you retire to your tent. You sigh deeply. You miss Koriza the most. You fall asleep, alone. The next day you train more with Abysmalia on the dark arts. You learn to manipulate life force, create undead hordes, curse people and more. "Good job today" she says "I'm proud of you". You feel a warm sensation in your heart. It feels nice to make your master proud. "You will be a dark wizard of the highest order one day" she says as she leaves. You begin to feel tired and succumb to sleep... Redsamuru rudely wakes you up. "Hey shitrag! Abysmalia wants you! You angrily get up. You head over to Abysmalia's room, filled with corpses, she is happy to see you and tells her you can use the corpses to experiment. Redsamuru says he wants to experiment with Abysmalia, alone. She throws him out and says you may stay. You rearrange human limbs and body parts to make a grotesque spider like monstrosity. You focus negative energy to reanimate your hideous creation. It wakes up and immediately breaks itself in half and collapses. "Goddammit, that was the worst thing I ever saw!" Abysmalia says. "You need to practice more". Disgruntled, you leave to practice elsewhere. The next day, you try again and make a little progress. You work on it for a few days and your efforts start to pay off. Your creations walk, talk and do basic things like eat people. Abysmalia decides to flirt a bit with you, giving you a lick on your cheek and referring to you as "my budding dark lord" she tells you that soon you will destroy the city with her. You don't want to harm innocents. You also don't want to destroy the city. You want to find a nice quiet place to settle down with your one true love. But you know that you might have to do these things, so you keep practicing... Redsamuru complains to you "it is not fair, why do the ladies always flirt with you?" You tell Redsamuru that Abysmalia is a crazed dark witch and that her advances disgust you. One day you are looking through the many spell books that Abysmalia has in her lair. You find a dark spell book, covered in blood, written in an incomprehensible language. Abysmalia rushes over to you and snatches it from your hands. "No, don't touch that!" She tells you. She explains to you that it is the spell book of a long dead dark lord named Korizander, also known as the Blood mage. You tell Abysmalia you won't help her raze this city, and ask her to stop flirting with you as you find her hideous. She tells you that if you help her raze the city, then you shall have her. You are not interested. You tell her that as the purple dragon, you command her to not kill an entire community. It is not the fault of the enslaved civilians things are this way. Abysmalia hisses at you in disapproval. You remind her again you will not help her raze the city. She tells you that if you're not going to help, then get out of her lair. You and Redsamuru leave and get on the city streets, stained black once more. Redsamuru proposes the idea of ratting out Abysmalia to the guards. You are unsure as they will torture and molest her. You and Redsamuru can't come to a conclusion so you decide to ask other dragons. You ask Redsamuru if the lay stone is about done recharging. It should be almost 2 weeks now. He says it's almost ready, a few hours at most.

You and Redsamuru decide to go to a tavern to zone out for a few hours. You won't pay for your drinks as you will teleport when the lay stone is ready. You and Redsamuru have a few ales, play some games and enjoy your time. After these few hours, you notice the lay stone is ready for use again. You and Redsamuru go somewhere private and you say "Yanawa" you are back in Koriza's room! She is elated to see you and hugs you, smooching you all over. Redsamuru asks when it is his turn. Koriza ignores the gross loser. You ask Redsamuru you want to be alone with Koriza for a bit. He says sure and leaves the room. Look here, you and this red princess. You and Koriza soon make out on her bed. You lower yourself and lick her sensitive belly scar. The red dragoness loves the sensation. You continue to do so and she quivers in passion. You continue licking and eventually your tongue goes lower and lower... NSFW things happen. Koriza grabs you by the horns and pulls you onto of her, thankful of how you showed her that you indeed did miss her. You say "I missed you" she knows and did too. Koriza hugs you close and tells you that she was worried sick. Koriza hugs you close and tells you that she was worried sick. After you and your friends exchanged pleasantries, you enjoy your dinner in the dining room. You, Koriza, Disarria, Zalisi, Endaklion, Xenia, Alec and Redsamuru are all present. You ask the group if they want to know about your Pezenstad trip. The group eagerly say yes, you and Redsamuru recount your adventure. The poverty of Pezenstad, the stench, the catacombs, the bombing Redsamuru pulled off so well and of course the Necromantic black dragoness witch Abysmalia. You ask the group how they feel about necromancy. Xenia is worried but Disarria is intrigued. "I don't really know much about it, it was taught to me in school but I just didn't take to it. The dead are just dead after all. It's the beyond the dead that's fascinating." Disarria says. Xenia frowns and tells you to speak with her after dinner Alec jokes that Necromancers are just healers that arrived too late. Endaklion says that its risky magic to study. Koriza is just quiet, looking into the distance. You know she has some feelings about it. Redsamuru says he offered to fuck the crazy out of Abysmalia but that she refuses. You sarcastically say "yeah I wonder why she turned such a charmer like you down" Redsamuru hits you with a pillow and the two of you laugh Dinner ends with everything light hearted. You go to Xenia's room and meet up to her, she is worried about the dark power corrupting you. Koriza joins you, she wants to be in on this. You ask Xenia what she wants to tell you about necromancy. "Necromancy is dangerous in the wrong hands, it is a dark art that leads to the dark places in the world. It has driven many wizards mad. There is a good reason why its illegal in most places, why most necromancers are hunted down and why its study is banned." Xenia sternly warns You think on this warning. You have fallen victim to it's allure yourself. You ask Xenia how to practice it safely, as you have to practice all kinds of magic as a purple dragon. "You don't practice the art of necromancy safely. It is an art that requires caution and precision, one wrong move and you could end up dead or worse." This worries you but you are adamant in learning the dark art. "I have to, its part of being a true wizard." You reply. Koriza puts her claw on your shoulder and says "We'll be with you every step of the way" You ask Xenia if she can help you decrease the corrupting effects of necromancy. She as white dragon is light aligned which is the opposite to necromancy, maybe it could balance you out? Xenia nods. She tells you that everyone has both the dark and light inside of them. Which you feed will decide your fate. Koriza agrees. Koriza says "vengeance is not what we may do, else we become as vile as the black dragons" Koriza says. You think on your father, who was a kind king but his murder at the claws of the black dragons makes you desire vengeance. "I want to feed my desire for vengeance" You say.

Koriza looks saddened and Xenia a bit too. "Dark will be your path then" Xenia says with a frown. You say "I never felt so good, so... powerful. If it is my destiny to help the world, I would be impervious to corruption?" You say "I never felt so good, so... powerful. If it is my destiny to help the world, I would be impervious to corruption?" Xenia says "You would be able to resist the call of the dark, but necromancy is a dangerous path, you could become undead. Necromancy makes up your mind susceptible to dark whispers." You joke "That could make me more desirable" You laugh. Xenia raises an eyebrow. "I'm kidding" You say. You decide to get philosophical, and ask Xenia if darkness is stronger than the light. you say: "Oblivion was there before the light, and will always be there. The light will die out and usher in the heat death of the universe" Koriza says "You believe the light is weaker, yet you forget something. If it was not for the light, we would not exist. The light creates life, and without it, we all die." "The darkness never created anything" You say with a shrug "And without darkness we could still see" "I cannot argue against you" Koriza says. You ask Xenia what do to to keep at least your mind stable, as you don't want to lose the love of your life; Koriza. "Magical Meditation should help you, it will clear your mind" Xenia says. You ask: "what about learning light magic itself?" Xenia is not a priestess, you have to travel to the white dragon homeland. "You would have to become a white dragon initiate. They teach Light Magic there" Xenia explains. "How do I do that?" You ask. "You'd have to travel to the ancient dragon homeland to the north, there you need to find the temple of Genesion and pray to become an initiate. if the dragons accept you, they will teach you." Xenia explains. You thank her for the information. Koriza still has her input about Necromancy, after all she was uncomfortable at the dinner table but didn't want to speak out in public. You and Xenia listen to her input. "I think Necromancy is... an important tool in the realm of possibilities, but it should be heavily restricted. For one, anyone can be raised from the dead as you know, but only through a very lengthy and expensive ritual. If such power were to fall into the wrong hands, well... there be an undead apocalypse. Korizan culture puts heavy emphasis on ancestral souls and worship. It is clear why Koriza's culture made her so wary of it. You say "Don't the black dragons use the dark powers in their attempted destruction of all red dragons and Korizan itself?" Koriza replies with a "Well of course they do, but the difference is that our magic comes from life and the red dragon culture embraces life. Black dragon magic comes from death, obviously. The necromantic magic is much more powerful than most dark magic mind you, but as I said it should be heavily restricted." "But isn't it all about balance and harmony?" You ask. "It is, but if one group has too much power..." You ask Koriza if cremations are allowed in Korizan spirituality, cremations could stop necromancy pretty effectively. "Yes, its a preferred way to dispose of the dead. It is why Yanawa is not overrun by zombies" "Well I think I can get on board with this. It doesn't seem so bad." You say. You ask Xenia and Koriza if plants or even fungi can be undead. They say anything is possible with magic, but it is unlikely anything like that exists. "How about machines that are made from body parts and then reanimated with Necromancy?" You ask. "Yuck!" Koriza says. "I have never heard of such a thing, but I suppose it is possible." Xenia says. You ask Xenia and Koriza if they allow you to make such a machine from animal body parts. You had something simple in mind, like a Necromantic wheelbarrow. They say that while they do not forbid it, they certainly don't advise it. They say the dead should remain so and the process is very "icky". You decide to do it but you won't tell them. The next day you head out to the Yanawa slaughterhouse and grab a barrel of butchery waste, it will get tossed anyway. The stuff is very fresh! You head over to a carpenter's shop and ask the dwarven male if he could turn the butchery waste into a wheelbarrow. The request is certainly strange. He says he doesn't want to know what you want it for, but he will do it if you can come up with the money.

You pay him very well and he gets to work. You wait a couple days until it is ready. The wheelbarrow turns out to be a good likeness of a Necromantic creation. You find a secluded spot and park the grotesque creation. This is the moment of truth, you focus the negative energy on the wheelbarrow made from body parts. You wonder if your theory works and it will be reanimated. The dead parts come to life! It's ALIVE! The reanimated corpse of a wheelbarrow shuffles and squeaks past you. At least you assume it's a squeak, it could be the death moan of the creature. It rolls on it's wheels towards the Yanawa College. You wonder what it is doing. It goes through the front doors of the school! What is this thing doing?! You chase after the thing and yell commands for to to stop. You reach the front door, but it's too late. A dozen students and teachers lie on the ground. The wheelbarrow has stabbed them all with it's handles. You knew it was too violent to live! Koriza and Xenia arrive at the doorway after hearing the screams outside. "Well, it looks like your theory worked," Xenia says. "Everyone stay back!" Koriza yells, readying her weapon. You tell Koriza not yet, you make a final attempt to command your creation to stop. You try to use all the mental energy you have left to command the wheelbarrow. "Stop!" you say with all your might. The wheelbarrow slowly turns it's handles towards you. There is a snapping sound, and they both come flying at your head. You attempt to dodge, but you are too late. You are hit in the head and knocked unconscious instantly. You fall backwards and hit your head on the ground, knocking yourself out completely. You regain your senses in your bed, Xenia greeting you. "How do you feel?" Xenia asks. "My head hurts," you reply. "You've got a concussion. Fortunately, your thick skull was able to take most of the hit. You'll have a bump, but you'll live. How do you feel otherwise?" You get out of bed and stretch. After a moment, you feel perfectly fine. You ask Xenia what happened to the Necrotic wheelbarrow you made. She explains that Koriza was the only one quick enough to stop it. She blew it up with a firebomb. You sigh. Another failure. At least Alec can heal the injured. You ask Xenia why your creation refused to obey you. Xenia knows how fickle and treacherous dark magic is. She has a theory. "I think the dark magic of the necromantic energy in the air reacted with the aura of the natural magical elements in your body," Xenia says. "How so?" you ask. "Well, think about it. Dark magic is chaotic, destructive, negative, untrustworthy, and most importantly, it ignores intent. The dark magic overtook your intent and acted how it wanted to." You add ,"and to control it, I need it to corrupt me first or learn holy magic?" "Correct," Xenia says. "Fortunately, you have me. I will mentor you to stave off corruption, please be more careful with your experiments for now" you agree. Koriza marches in, knowing she had to kill your berserk minion you expect the worst of her temper. You say "uh, so... how bad was the wheelbarrow incident?" "It was the funniest fucking thing I've ever seen," Koriza laughs. You laugh along as Koriza explains how the wheelbarrow went berserk and her and her troops' attempts to stop it. You ask her why she isn't angry. You had no ill intent. She explains that accidents happen. Your work is important. That's the mindset needed to make progress in this world. Not victim hood A shame your sister Zal wasn't as understanding. She has no faith in you and Xenia. Koriza dismisses herself. You sigh with relief. Xenia makes a mental note to talk to Zalisi later. You joke to Xenia "alright I am making a slice of ham undead next" "Please don't," Xenia says. You smirk as you head for the kitchen and find a chicken for cooking, headless and prepared for the oven. You focus your dark energy on the chicken, and use necromancy on it. You successfully raise the chicken from the dead, headless but obedient to you. You give your minion a bread stick for a cane and command it to do a silly dance. You sing "Hello my baby, hello my honey Hello my ragtime, summertime gal Send me a kiss by wire, by wire Baby, my heart's on fire, on fire If you refuse me, honey, you lose me And you'll be left alone, oh baby Telephone, and tell me, tell me Tell me I'm your very own, oh" Satisfied with your silly necromantic creation.

You send it off to find Xenia and do the ragtime dance in front of her. She's shocked, but manages to stay calm. You're pleased she did that. She doesn't realize how her breathing quicken and her heartbeat increased when she saw the chicken zombie. She begins to laugh at the situation then heads to the kitchen to confront you. "That was fucking stupid," Xenia says "but kind of cute." You nod and say "yeah it didn't murder anyone. Yet." You have other plans for your raised zombie chickens. Xenia doesn't like violence of any kind and sees your necromancy as too dangerous and unloving. she has some interesting views on necromancy. You suppose the fact that you can turn people into mindless undead zombies and raise them from the dead any time is pretty cool however. You retire to bed and decide to bring it up later when you feel less tired. After a long day of using dark magic, you're always tired. When you head to bed, Koriza came in. She saw the dancing ragtime chicken zombie. She shakes her head and smiles at you. "This world wasn't meant for sanity." She says. You ask her jokingly if you can make a sentient cannon next, as if the wheelbarrow wasn't enough. She just looks at you like you're a madman. "Never mind, if that sentient cannon exists in this world, then I really want nothing to do with it." You both laugh and retire to bed together. The next day you resume your experiments in a vacant, locked room in the palace. You made a small town of toys you bought and carved thumb sized figurines from flesh which you reinforced with mouse bones. You made hundreds of puppets. You focus your dark power to raise the tiny zombies, your tiny town is almost done! You wave your hand and 100 little zombie toys march in formation. You made a farm with living livestock, a town hall, police station, random houses and everything needed to make it self-sustaining. You spent most of your days making sure each little zombie toy has a purpose. Some you made to farm, gather food, cook and eat the food. Some you made to clean the town, some were teachers. You smile mischievously as you head out the room your tiny town is in, you lock the metal door. You relinquish control of the tiny zombie toys so they can do what they want. You then leave to check back on them later. You wonder what other experiments you could do, you could make humans into super-soldiers. You could make a golem army. You could- Koriza is here to see you, she looks worried. You haven't seen that look before. "What's wrong?" "I need to talk to you about something. It's about your black magic experiments." Your heart drops, this isn't good. You tell her they are safely behind a locked steel door. She says that's not what she means. She says she fears your reckless, dangerous use of dark-magic. She fears one day you might not be able to control such a powerful force. "Why are you telling me this now? You've known for a while." "Because something has happened." "It is the tiny zombie town, isn't it?" You wonder. "No, that's just creepy. I can accept that. It's the fact that you've been getting strange packages for a few months." You don't remember ordering anything. You chalk it up to another thing you forgot. Koriza explains how she and the guards have been trying to keep them away from you. How they are always disguised as packages important to you or gifts. But she says their attempts always fail. You suspect Abysmalia may be responsible, you ask if they are from Pezenstad. She says no, they have no markings at all, except for a single black feather tucked inside. She says it makes her scared to know the enemy is able to get these to you, and there's no telling what they contain. You dismiss her fears and curiosity, asking why she isn't helping with the packages and trying to find out what is going on. Koriza says because they are yours, she doesn't want to go through your private things. You tell her you want the Korizan special forces on it asap. You take this very seriously. You tell her the packages could be a security risk to both of you. She agrees. You and Koriza go to check out the tiny undead town you left in the locked room. You carefully check the peephole to see what your unbound toys are up to.

You and Koriza enter the room, looking at the stiff corpses monotonously moving and groaning. They are all doing routine maintenance, cleaning, organizing and building. "It's like they are on autopilot?" Koriza says not expecting you to know what that is. "Yeah..." You agree. "But there is no mechanism. They must be controlling themselves." You smile and say "I'm glad they didn't go berserk" You tell Koriza you will let them live in their creepy toy town for now. You and Koriza head to your private room. You smile. She smiles back. You ask her if you can advance to the next step and raise a fresh corpse of a fallen human or dragon, with a soul still inside, to make truly sentient undead. Koriza feels this is too far and too much. She says she doesn't like where your necromancy is going. She feels that you have too much power and you want more. She snarls "I will not condone it, Entropion. Xenia was clear about the dangers of dark power!" You feel she has a point. You say "thank you for saying no, for protecting me against myself" you kiss her. She smiles and looks at you. "You know I'd never want to hurt you...." You both hold each other close. Every dragon has a naturally aligned breath. Disarria has ice, Zalisi has ice, Endaklion has Acid, Redsamuru has electricity and Koriza fire. You tell Koriza you wonder what your natural breath is, before purple dragon abilities come into the equation. You say you want to know because you don't know if its fire, ice, acid, electricity or something else. Knowing your type helps to know which magic is easy or hard for you to learn. Koriza hops off the bed and fetches Xenia. When they return you ask Xenia if she can scry to find out your natural breath type. She tells you that you are an ice dragon, she already knew for a while by your personality. Somewhere you know Xenia is right, you love cold and winter. You embrace these colder elements, embracing your Ice abilities. You are an ice dragon. You have a affinity for ice. You may learn to freeze things solid, and also form tough scales made of ice on your body to defend yourself. Some magic is easier for you to learn than others due to your type, however it doesn't make too much difference in the long term. You ask Xenia what personality traits of you made her come to the conclusion you are ice aligned. "Your calm and reserved nature mixed with your love of cold leads to the conclusion. You aren't exactly a pacifist, but you're not a warmonger either. You're very intelligent and have good self-control. However you have difficulties with the emotional aspects of life" Koriza nods "really complements the traits of a fire dragon like myself." You agree. Xenia says how you and Koriza are perfect as a couple. You look Koriza in the eyes and growl playfully. Your expression says it all, you love Koriza. Koriza smiles. Xenia decides to leave you two lovebirds alone, saying she needs to go and meditate. You and Koriza cuddle for hours. You tell Koriza that she completes you. Koriza says she feels the same. You feel like the luckiest being in the world. You remember you were supposed to meet with Zalisi, you hop off the bed and say "oh crap! Zalisi needed to speak to me!" Koriza pouts and says "aww...well go speak to her, but be quick about it!" You laugh and say you will. You run to Zalisi's room. Zalisi the blue dragoness meekly greets you as you make yourself comfortable. You start "you wanted to speak to me regarding my Necromancy?" Zalisi nods. "Yes, I have a few concerns. From what I know of it, it involves raising the dead, which from what I can tell is very unnatural and goes against the natural order of things. It seems particularly dangerous too. How exactly do you go about raising the dead?" You explain to her how negative energy is the antagonist to life itself, and how it can be used instead of positive energy, the life force, to make the dead reanimate and be stuck in between life and death;undeath. You explain to her how it's not perfect and there are many downsides to such an existence. You also mention that the ability to raise the dead is invaluable during battle. You mention all this to her and she seems a little scared. "Wow,you have had a busy life."

she says after you're finished with your lecture. You nod and sit closer to her. You reassuringly ask if all is fine or if she still has concerns. She does indeed have concerns. She mentions how it seems to go against nature to her, due to it's unnatural corruption of life forces and energies. She says she appreciates your lecture though and says she understands the process much better now. You tell Zalisi you will halt your Necromantic studies until you know how to harness the holy light to balance it out. You want to focus on safer elemental magic until then. Zalisi is relieved. She mentions this will help a lot with her own magic abilities. It's settled then, you will focus on the other elements until you master holy magic. You ask Zalisi if her magic is ice and water magic, she is a blue dragon and that comes to her naturally. She cannot learn any type of magic like you could, only purple dragons like yourself can. Zalisi is a little jealous of your multiple talents, but is happy you're on friendly terms now. She nods and says she is a beginner with water magic. You ask her what water magic is capable of. You say: "all I know is that it can move water" there is much more to it, and Zalisi is eager to tell you what Hydromancy and Cryomancy can do! Zalisi says:"moving water is just the beginning my brother, necromancy infuses the dead with negative energy. If infusion is done with elemental water, the target will take on elemental properties of water" You ask Zalisi if, for example, a rock is infused with water magic, will it become gelatinous or even a liquid? All at room temperature. Zalisi says that is a possibility, she is not too sure as she just begun studying water magic and without a tutor she won't get far. Zalisi sighs "water and ice magic tutors are exceedingly rare" You nod. You ask Zalisi what else can water magic do? Zalisi says the next thing you mention is turning a living organism into jello, this requires more skill than infusing a rock with water magic. "You need a lot of willpower to accomplish such a feat," Zalisi states, "so don't expect it to happen to easily." She continues "But one can potentially engulf their target in water, drowning them." You tell Zalisi that one day you will travel to the blue dragon homeland with her and the group, blues master ice magic after all. Zalisi says that won't be anytime soon, as she wants to learn more about water magic so she can teach you and the group when the time comes. You have your doubts but don't tell her. You exit her room and head to Koriza's again. You greet Koriza "hey, your purple hero is back" You enter her room and head over to her bed where you two make out for a bit. You then sit beside her as the two of you begin to talk. You tell Koriza you want to visit the purple dragon of your dream again, you want to high dose dream spectator potions to do so. Koriza says the process will be dangerous as the potions leave you limp and powerless for hours. You say it will be worth the risk to learn what the hell he wants. You take out two potions and put them into your system, one immediately takes you under. The scenery changes from the empty void to the inside of a cave. The purple dragon from your dreams is there with some sort of lizard creature, they its talking about you. You and this purple dragon didn't exactly make good first impressions last time. You hover over to the purple dragon and say "hello?" It turns to you, you then do the same. It is very large and it looks angry, specifically at you. It's large reptilian eyes glow red and an intimidating snarl appears on its face. "What the hell is this?" The Purple Dragon asks. "I don't know sir, I just woke up." You say in a panic. The Purple Dragon snarls "you called us here!" It accuses. "I most certainly did not!" You tell him you are the same purple dragon from before, and how he told you that he was the first purple dragon. The lizard creature then speaks up "we are the same purple dragon, from before, and you're in grave peril." You begin to wonder if this is real, or if this is another one of your dreams. The Lizard then asks "who were you with before you entered here?" You tell him about your lover, the red dragon princess of Korizan named Koriza.

The purple dragon recognizes Korizan, he says how it is interesting the country still exists since his death. You ask the purple dragon how long ago he died. You know it's long but not how long. The first purple scoffs at you "I am Catharsion! I sealed away Apocalion 5494 years and 12 days ago at the cost of my own life! You are a young whelp!" Catharsion is acting his pompous self again, bit you still want to know what he wants to tell you. "So what do you want to tell me?" "Apocalion is going to be freed in a few years! He is still going to be sealed but not for long. Especially now the prison is no longer fed negative energy" "And how do I fix that?" Catharsion snorts "live sacrifices would do, but that idiot girlfriend of yours killed Malediction! He was a bastard but he did his job as keeper well! He was a traitor you see, rather having all the power to himself instead freeing Apocalion! You must either sacrifice people or open a dread silo!" You ignore the fact he called Koriza idiotic, you know dread silos flood the nearby land with dark energy if opened and the energy is not contained. You also do not want to be killing people for no reason. You ask Catharsion how many purples there are alive at the moment. He tells you between 3 and 13. 13 is maximum and he knows of 3. You ask him if you are the first purple dragon of this generation he contacted. He says no, but the first one to listen to him. You ask him who the other ones were. He said that they were just as misguided as you and that they were of no use to him after their conversations, that's why he stopped contacting them. You ask him what is wrong with Disarria He shakes his head "maybe you can get through that hedonist. She sees her destiny as a game" he looks at you with a hint of pity "i may have misjudged you, you may be able to stop this. I tried to warn the first generation purples, they didn't listen and 3 more were lost to Apocalion. The second generation were too far gone. You can redeem yourself and your kind by taking the right path." You thank him for this information and tell him you will make an choice that is best for your kind and yourself. You want to know about the third purple he knows so you ask "the third purple, what is up with them?" He says "he is a young one, almost a child. He is a telepath so he might already know everything i am telling you but he doesn't realize it, yet." You ask if the other 10 of this generation are dead or Undiscovered. He says they are all undiscovered and that you need to find them because they are the future of your kind. You tell him about your plan to go to the blue dragon homeland to learn ice magic, as you still have other evil to fight. You want know if Catharsion approves. He says "I cannot tell you what to do. I can only give advice. If you want my opinion, the best thing you can do for your people is to stay alive and help the future purples find their place in this world." You say that you must go and will take his words into consideration. You tell him you will do him and the world proud as you put your chest forward. He smiles and nods. You take your leave of the dream cave and sleep like a baby. When you wake up you see Koriza's face very close up. She was watching you. You get startled. She says you looked very peaceful so she kept quiet. You thank her for watching over you and she says that she has been doing a lot of thinking. "About what?" You ask. She says " Will you go to the blue dragon's homeland?" You nod "I do want our group to travel there next. I think Korizan will manage with the heavy damage Redsamuru and I did to Pezenstad." Koriza agrees. She says "obviously I am coming with you, Zalisi will too." That means Xenia, Disarria, Endaklion, Redsamuru and Alec will stay here in Korizan. Their help is needed in the rebuilding of Yanawa. You nod and smile " Glad you'll come."

Koriza says she will also bring along some Yanawans, as they are eager to see the world, namely the rebuilding of Yanawa. You both laugh and tell them that this trip is going to be much different than rebuilding Yanawa. The rebuilding of Yanawa can wait anyway as Yanawa is currently self-sufficient. You change the subject, you ask Koriza if the purple dragon in her favorite childhood book is named Catharsion by any chance. She says " Yes, that was his name." She says. She mentions how she loved that book as a child, she still does actually. You tell her you met Catharsion in your dream, and what he told you about Apocalion's prison. She is shocked, she says " I thought he was just a fairy tale." You shake your head and tell her that in fairy tales, there is always a bit of truth. She agrees with you. You both start to pack. You tell Koriza to make sure the info about Apocalion is mailed to the relevant parties so the prison stays in good condition. She nods. You ask Koriza whether you go through or around the hostile black dragon archipelago, as it is on your route to the blue dragon homelands. She tells you that is an excellent question, and for you to pick a route. You opt for through, you justify this by stating that your allies, the Rhodium Horde, can do maintenance on your ship. You hop off the bed and wonder "hey Kor, won't your dad be sad his daughter is leaving again?" He just saw Koriza for the first time in years, after Koriza embarked on a mission to kill Malediction that spanned for said years. Koriza sighs "he understands our plight. He trusts us enough. It is our only option" You decide to head to Xenia for advice before leaving, she comes in the room first though. Xenia says "Kishijoten is not joining you, she had a panic attack when I tried to get her out her quarters" Xenia seems disappointed, after all Kishijoten promised to travel along. Xenia continues "as I told Koriza, I will be staying here. Kishijoten is currently more needy of my skills as soothsayer than you. I'm sorry, but that is my oath" you nod, disappointed but understanding.
