#1 of When I Learned the Truth

This is my first story in a long time, I may be a bit rusty, and I sure can use some critque. This is also my first love story, there will be yiff in it, but in later chapters. Warning, if you're not 18 (or 21 in some countries) don't read this! You've been warned.

It was the middle of April, so rain showers were quite common. My alarm clock had woken me up to another rain storm, thankfully this time there was no thunder or lightning. My name is Jack Acer. I'm a 17 year old light brown wolf who just woke up on another regular day of school, but something told me today was going to be different.

I stepped into my bathroom, which was conveniently connected to my bedroom. The tiles on the floor and the on the bathroom wall was a beautiful turquoise and aqua color while the rest of the wall was just white. The floor was also decorated with a crescent moon rug so my feet wouldn't get cold. I turned towards the mirror in the bathroom with the black and green marbled sink attached to it and saw a slender bodied wolf staring back at me with eyes that matched the tiles of the bathroom and blonde hair that reached down to about my shoulders.

I walked into the shower, I didn't need to shed any clothes, I slept nude anyway. I turned the warm water on, but yipped a bit as cold water came shooting out. It wasn't until I turned the water on I noticed someone was in the other shower. "Come on Jett!" I yelled and banged on the wall behind me. He was obvious ignoring me; younger brothers are such a pain. The water finally warmed up and I washed my fur out. I reached for the shampoo that smelled like bananas, "Today, I'm going to ask her out." I would talk about her, but I want it to be a surprise. She's in my history class; it was my least favorite class, that is, until she transferred into my class.

I didn't notice I had my eyes closed and my penis came out of its home. It was a good length for a wolf my age, at about 8 inches. I fought against it and turned the cold water on to get rid of it. I stepped out of the shower and grabbed my blue-green towel, drying myself off. I decided against blow drying my fur out, it would more than likely get wet with the storm outside anyway. I picked out a pair of blue cargo shorts, some random boxers (I didn't bother looking at which ones I put on) and a light blue muscle shirt then headed downstairs for breakfast.

As I entered the kitchen, my little brother Jett was sitting at the table. He was only two years younger than me, but he seemed to get more girls than I did. He was just two inches shorter, with me standing at 6'5". He had jett black hair, which is how he got his nickname (His actual name was John). He styled his hair after he saw a picture of Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series. I noticed he was wearing tight black jeans and a t-shirt with a wolf howling at the moon, something he use to do when he was a pup and I still constantly teased him about that.

I opened my mouth to speak about his howling, when he put his finger up and growled "Don't even speak about it." I chuckled slightly, it was the one thing that he always hated about himself when he was young, he even denies it even happened. I looked around and it seemed that mom and dad had gone off to work. I looked to Jett. "You could've made breakfast for us, but no, now we have to go to school." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my backpack, him following suit.

I headed for the garage and walked over to my car, Jett following close behind me. I turned around and he gave me the puppy dog look. "Jett, it may still work on mom and dad, but the puppy dog looks effect has left me. Go ride the bus." He was still looking at me with it. I gave him one more minute before finally caving in. "Fine, but tomorrow there'd better be breakfast." His tail couldn't have wagged as he practically ran to the side door of my blue Mercedes. I rolled my eyes and got into the driver's seat. The school wasn't that far, but I did want to keep dry. I drove up to Cynthia Hyde High School, or as everyone called it, Hyde High. The school was named after a pure white wolf who gave her life for this country like some schools in America. As soon as I parked in the junior section of the school parking lot, Jett ran out of the car and into the school building. Huh, I thought, he must have seen one of his friends or saw one of his exes just coming off the bus.

I grabbed my backpack and my umbrella and got out of the car and at that moment, I saw her, Samantha Hyde, or Sammie as her friends called her. She was the great-grand daughter of, yep, you guessed it, Cynthia Hyde, and she's the principle's daughter. She's a black wolf with long red hair that reached the base of her tail with a blonde streak that ran from her right eye to the tip of her hair. She had purple markings around her wrists and ankles as well as a purple circle on her forehead. People asked if she was part umbreon and she would either answer yes or no, no one was really sure. She was wearing a red skirt today with red boots and purple fingerless gloves up to her elbows. Her shirt was a purple and red swirl that had no sleeves and was decorated with a gold heart necklace. It was rumored to have a picture of her last boyfriend. It was a sort of note to her that said "Avoid this man."

She was talking with her friends, no good; I can't ask her when she's surrounded by her friends. I'll talk to her after class, which is when she was normally alone; none of her friends were in our class. The worst, or maybe the best, thing was that the class is at the end of the day. Suddenly, the day seemed brighter than any other rainy day.

The classes seemed to go on longer than normal, maybe it was the nerves talking to me, giving me time to think things over. What if she says no? Well, it would be the worst thing. No, the worst thing would be if she thought I was one of her exes and spray me with pepper spray. No, I take that back, she would tell her dad I flirted with her and he would have me expelled. Ok, I'm over reacting, and I must have been day dreaming and thinking of the possible outcomes because when I came out of my trance, my best friend Chance was sitting across from me in the cafeteria. "Dude, you ok Jack?" I shook my head and just looked into his green eyes. He usually wore a baseball hat backwards, but since this was school, it wasn't allowed so his brown hair was showing on his golden fur. The golden retriever wore a black muscled shirt and, I was assuming, blue shorts. It was his favorite outfit. He came out to me a while back and I've always been cool with it, he's been my best friend since we were pups, I wasn't going to throw that away because of his sexuality.

"Sorry Chance, just thinking about-"

"Sammie?" He asked, "You've been saying her name over and over again. Are you finally going to ask her out or what?"

I nodded. "I'm going to ask her out after history." Chance chuckled slightly. "What?"

"You've got history next dude."

I nearly fell out of my seat, I was so shocked and I looked at the clock. "Oh dear God! I'm going to be late!" I ran out of the cafeteria, but I heard Chance yelling "But you've got ten minutes left Jack!" I chose to ignore him and dashed down the hallways, the teachers yelled at me to slow down. I ignored them, like they were going to find me out of the 50 wolf students here. The door to the classroom was still closed as I could see it, but what I didn't expect to see there was Sammie. She was writing in, what looked like, a journal. I approached her, feeling myself starting to get nervous. I then decided against it and began to walk back, and then I heard her angelic voice. "Jack?" I stopped in place and turned around. She must have saw how nervous I looked, she as giggling.

"Um, h-hi Sammie." Great, I sound like an idiot.

"You don't have to be nervous around me Jack, but it is cute." She giggled again. Wait, was she interested in me? I had frozen up, I mentally kicked myself. Move stupid, or say something! I must've walked like a robot, she was giggling again. I sat next to her and took a deep breath, I calmed down.

"So, what were you writing about?" Oh crap, my voice got high! I'm not good around this girl, no matter how calm I was, my body found some way to show I was nervous. She giggled again; she does have a cute laugh.

"Yes." I looked at her like I was lost, then she nodded her head at me, then it clicked.

"Oh, so, you'll go out with me?" She nodded and held my hand. My heart fluttered as she held my hand. "God, I must seem like such an idiot to you." I said as I looked down from her. She cupped her hand under my chin and she kissed my cheek.

"Come over after school, I want to get to know you better." I was thinking that this was another hint, but, I think she was being serious. Man, she is one confusing girl. Just then, the bell rang and the door to my history class opened and students came running out, happy that class as over. She looked at me and kissed my cheek again as she got up and walked into the deserted classroom. I followed closely behind her.

After what had occurred, history seemed to go by fast, maybe it was the fact we had a substitute teacher who didn't care what the hell we did. She turned off the lights and popped in a movie, it was the last Indiana Jones movie. I wasn't paying attention to the movie, mostly because I got Sammie in my lap, she was such a tease, and she ended up rubbing my chest and constantly gave me pecks my cheeks. Thank God no one noticed.

Once the final bell rung, she grabbed my hand and took me to the junior parking lot. I had saw Jett along the way and told him to take the bus home. He looked at me funny; I guess he couldn't believe I got Sammie. She saw my car and got into the passenger seat, almost taking me in with her. I got into the driver's seat and she started giving me directions to her house. I parked the car on the street; I didn't want her dad having to park there. Their house wasn't any different from any other suburban home. It was a two story house painted green on the roof while the paneling was white. She grabbed my hand again; my heart feeling like it was soaring, and led me into her house.

We sped past the living room, went up the stairs, and sepd down the hallway, not even giving me a chance to see them. She just opened the door to her room and walked into it with me. I was having a mixed feeling of emotions, scared, nervous, happy, and a little bit surprised. Was she nervous too? I sat down on her bed next to her and looked around the room. The walls were painted purple while her carpeting was red. There was a desk with a laptop sitting across from her bed and a bookshelf filled with varies journals and her school books. She looked at me. "I would like to get to know you better Jackson." God, I hate it when woman use a guy's full name, it means they were serious. "So, why don't we play a game of 20 questions? I ask you a question, you answer, and then you ask one and I'll answer. Deal?" She really wanted to know more about me, and she meant it. I just nodded and she was waiting. I guess I was going to go first.

"Are you really part umbreon? No weaseling out of it." She didn't say anything. She just nodded.

"My mom was a shiny purple umbreon who fell in love with my dad who's a wolf as you're well aware of. She told me their parents didn't agree of the marriage, but they got married and had me, they have never regretted it. She passed away a few years ago, that's why I throw people off of my species. My turn: How many girls has your brother dated?"

Um, wow, she didn't just want to know about me, she wanted to know about my whole family. I began counting the number of girls off my hand. "I think he's dated...nine?" She nodded.

"My friend dated him, he really hurt her feelings." Oh, so Courtney was her friend. I'd better watch out for her if I do anything to upset Sammie, not like I would though.

It was my turn again. "Whose picture is inside your locket now?" She looked hurt, maybe I should've avoided that question, but she answered anyway.

"No one right now, I just got over Kevin." Kevin was the high school quarterback. All the girls wanted a lion like him, and apparently so did Sammie. "Um..." It looked like she was thinking hard. "Ok, I think I'm done with playing 20 questions." I looked at her weirdly; we didn't even get to her second question. "Why don't we tell each other our biggest secret, we need to trust each other, right?"

My eyes couldn't have gotten any wider. It looked like she wanted me to go first, again. I was so nervous, I didn't know what was safe to reveal to her. She took my paw and kissed my cheek. "Why don't you tell me your sexual orientation?" What?! How could she ask me that? Wasn't it obvious I was straight? I was going to date her. Well, it was true I didn't really know, I just considered myself straight, never really experimented.

So I answered, "I guess I'm bi curious, now, what's your big secret?" She responded with lifting her shirt up. Oh God, I knew she was flat chested, but I didn't know she had an hourglass figure. I must've been drooling as she cleaned off my mouth a bit. She held my cheek and leaned in, wanting to whisper something in my ear.

"I'm a boy."
