Both of them hung up the phone. Jake hurried to get ready, trying to look his best without sparking the suspicion of his parents. He walked out of his room and told his mom he was going to the movies with a friend. She said that was ok but be to back around 11.

Then they were off to the movies, they spent most of the ride in an awkward silence. Neither of them had really been on a date, let alone one with another guy before.
