#2 of The Sins We Carry

Part 2 of The Sins We Carry.

In this chapter, Rex confronts Solrent about what happened in the cave. With Solrent not being upfront nor sincere about the events, Rex's anger gets the better of him. Rex encounters a mysterious foe who is secretly compromising the team. Solrent encounters a figure who helps guide him in the right direction. Will Solrent be able to salvage his relationship with Rex, or will this be the end of it all.

The Sins We Carry

Entry 2: Fury

From where we last left off, Solrent and Rex were tasked by guildmaster Faladiel to defeat someone named Darshan, the Mad King. In order to get to him, 7 gemstones guarded by Darshan's 7 guardians have to be defeated. Solrent and Rex were able to meet the first of the guardians, Rubrum, and eventually defeated him in combat. However, hidden secrets began to blossom within our two party members.

After returning from defeating Rubrum, Solrent and Rex made it back to the guild. Upon entering the doors, Faladiel greeted our heroes, but drew concern the moment he saw Rex being carried by Solrent. Solrent smiled at Faladiel, showing the gemstone in his possession and asked if they could be left alone for a while so that Rex can recover. Understanding their predicament, Faladiel assisted the two into their rooms and left a note of Do Not Disturb.

A few days later...

Solrent looked over at his partner, seeing him sleep peacefully in his bed. Solrent contemplated wanting to wake up his partner, but knew that Rex went through so much with just Rubrum, and even saw a side of himself that he is a bit embarrassed about. However, he knew that he had to tell Rex the truth, to tell him how he really feels. Just as he was about to call Rex's name, he saw his partner shuffle a little, before Rex slowly rose from his slumber.

Yawning and rubbing his sides, Rex blinked his eyes and stared at Solrent, trying to focus on the big dragon in front of him. Rex then started to look around the room, seeing the familiarity of their lodging slowly coming to him. "Hey...Solrent...are we back in the guild?"

"Yeah, we are. And good to see you." Solrent went over to his partner and gave him a big hug, which Rex happily reciprocated. "I was so worried about you, you slept for days and I did not know what to do. You must be hungry right? Here, I made this for you," Solrent said as he handed Rex a plate of a small piece of steak.

Rex took the plate and happily ate the steak, feeling the juiciness of the meat slowly web away the fatigue. "Mmm, this is actually quite good Sol. Did you practice a bit more cooking while I was asleep?" Solrent shyly looked down at his feet, twiddling his clawed fingers. "I'll take that as a yes then, but I honestly truly appreciate it. Anyway, so like, what happened after we fought with Rubrum? I am still a bit surprised our plan somehow worked."

"Where do I start then...Oh ok, so I remember fighting Rubrum and it was a tough battle because that dick just constantly jumped around and dodged every attempt I had at stabbing him."

"Yeah, I remember that. Some bards are good at fighting with swords, other's with magics, or those who just have fancy footwork and can just easily move about."

"That is right, so he kept dodging everything. But his words though, he kept saying stuff and I had this weird, fuzzy feeling in the back of my head that constantly kept pounding at me. It did not help that the music he kept on playing with his keytar kept amplifying that pain."

Rex shook his head in disgust. "I should have known better. He was doing his enthralling performance, a unique skill from his college. I did not think much of it because it just looked like a regular bardic performance to me. I'm sorry about that Solrent," Rex said as he started to tear up.

Solrent walked over to the bed and counseled Rex, wiping away his tears. "It's alright Rex. We did not know anything about Rubrum. It was a new enemy for us all entirely. But hey, at least we have an idea of what we may be up against with his brothers."

Rex stared at the ground in shame, "That is true...but do continue Solrent."

"Ok, so next I remember falling to my knees and..." Solrent awkwardly stopped talking. Rex looked up at him with concern, his eyes narrowed, anticipating what Solrent would say next. "Some stuff happened and you broke the spell by casting your countercharm on me. And luckily, right before I was about to swipe you with my claws. Then we defeated Rubrum and I managed to take his stone and here we are," Solrent finished as he took out the stone and showed it to Rex, glowing brightly red. The stone pulsed in Solrent's grip, that fuzzy feeling slowly invading him, but Solrent just shook it off.

"So we have to collect these things then, may I?" Rex asked as Solrent nodded and handed the stone to him. Holding it up to the sky, Rex examined it, seeing it nothing more than just a bright, red gemstone. "It looks pretty, but at least that is one in the bag, here." Rex tossed the stone back to Solrent, which he pocketed on his person. "However, back to your story, you seemed to have skipped a huge part. Care to tell me why?" Rex crossed his arms and legs, an aura started to emanate from Rex, an aura of anger.

Solrent looked about the room nervously, knowing he cannot escape from this line of questioning and said, "Umm, you sure you want to know?"

Tapping his clawed finger against his arm and his foot on the creaky floorboard, Rex responded, "I'm not getting any younger. And don't even think about leaving anything out or lying to me, don't make me cast Zone of Truth."

Acknowledging the seriousness of Rex, Solrent used his hands in a pushing motion to help calm Rex down, "There there, Rex. Calm down. Ok, so...how do I put this..."

"Just....tell me...a straightforward...answer...Solrent." The aura of anger around Rex started to manifest a bit more.

Solrent knew the severity of the situation, since Rex rarely called him by his full name. "Ok, Ok, just chill Rex. So-," as Solrent gave off one big sigh. "He made me do some stuff that of course looked bad. I was coerced into facefucking your brains out. And after that, he made me fuck you like no tomorrow, eventually cumming inside of you..." Solrent looked away from Rex, unable to maintain eye contact.

"And...do you feel sorry about it?"

"Of course I do man, I did not want it to happen that way."

"That way? What do you mean by that way?"

"Umm...I mean...it just felt...like not the way...I would want it..."

"Do you feel regret, like disgusted at all that you fucked me?"

"Yeah it was disgusting, you looked like you were in pain, and I did not enjoy it."

The aura of anger, the aura of fury, could be felt by anyone in the room, especially Solrent. "Uh huh...but did the thought of fucking me, ever come across your mind?"

Closing his eyes and taking one deep breath, "Honestly Rex." Solrent placed his hand on Rex's shoulder. "How it occurred I did not like, but yes, the thought came across my mind. It's because I lo..."

Rex immediately swept away Solrent's hand from his shoulder and yelled, "YOU FUCKER! How could you even think THAT! I can't believe you did this, you're DISGUSTING!"

"Calm down Rex, you are going to make a scene."

"NOT LIKE YOU ALREADY DID! GOD! I...UGH!" Rex started pacing around the room, kicking any object insight towards the wall. "We are just adventurers questing together. Look, I know you are gay and so am I, but this is NOT the time for that."

"I know, I know Rex. Look I'm sorry that it happened like it did, if I could rewrite history, I would."

"Did you enjoy it?"

"Excuse me?"

"I said...did you enjoy it? When you were being controlled and fucking me. I know how that performance works. You still can see what is happening in front of you, you just cannot control your body. So, I'll say it again.. DID...YOU...ENJOY...IT?"

"I mean...it's not like..."

The overwhelming aura of anger blew the door to their room wide open as Rex wailed, "I JUST ABOUT HAD IT! YOU DO NOT RESPECT OUR RELATIONSHIP, DO YOU!? ALL YOU THINK ABOUT IS FINDING A WAY TO STICK YOUR DICK IN ME!"

"Please Rex, calm down, the others..."

"I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE OTHERS. FUCK THEM ALL, I BET YOU WOULD LIKE THAT WOULDN'T YOU? I'M JUST...LEAVE ME ALONE...!" Rex stormed out of the room, headed downstairs and bolted out the front door.

Solrent just sat there in disbelief, never seeing his partner that angry before. A passing adventurer peeked into the room and asked if everything was alright. Solrent told him that this is something between him and his partner and he will take care of it. The adventurer nodded his head and went back to his own work. Solrent rose from the bed, but decided it may be best to leave Rex be, to allow him to cool off on his own.

*******************************

Wandering through town, Rex started mouthing words to himself. "I cannot believe that fucker. How could he even...Ugh. I don't know what to think right now," as Rex kicked a can on the ground into the street. "That guy has no idea of self-control. He has no idea of self-respect. And worst of all, he just thinks with his big dick of his." Rex continued to walk aimlessly, not entirely sure where he was. Filled with too much anger, Rex could care less if anyone dared to attack him.

Eventually, Rex approached a door. Looking around, he noticed no signs of life around him. Rex scanned the building, and nothing special looked on the outside, and he could barely hear any footsteps from the inside. Rex was about to leave when the door opened and a figure stood in front of him. Rex took a bit of a defensive stance as the cloaked figure approached him. "You look a little lost there, may I ask if you need some assistance?"

Rex shook his head, still on guard. "No, I'm fine. I just had an argument with a friend recently, and I needed to cool down." Rex tried to look at the figure, but the attire made it hard to see who he was talking to. The cloak covered the head entirely, almost like it was magical in a sense. All he could see were the hands and feet of the figure, clawed tips and talons, with the skin tone looking a bit orange in hue.

The figure beckoned Rex to come in. "Cool down you say? Why don't you come in here then. I can sense a bit of anger, a bit of fury in you. This is the perfect place to release all of that pent up energy."

Rex started to back away slowly, but then his legs betrayed him and stayed firm. "Uhh..it's alright..sir. I'm fine honestly, I'll just be on..."

The figure reached out and gently touched Rex on the shoulder, in which Rex flinched. "Come in, come in. I don't mean any harm to you. Just sit and talk with me, tell me what's going on. And if at any point you feel uncomfortable, you are free to go."

Rex took a deep breath, and against his better judgement, stepped inside with the figure.

Once inside, Rex surveyed the establishment. It looked pretty baron as far as he could tell. No one else was here and it felt eerily quiet. The figure gestured for Rex to sit down at the U-shaped booth, which Rex hesitantly obliged. The figure went over to the bar and asked if Rex would like anything to drink. "Just water would be fine, I'm not in the mood for alcohol right now." The figure nodded his head and poured two glasses of water before setting them on the table and sitting himself across from Rex.

"So, I can sense that you have a bit of some emotions going on right now. If you feel comfortable talking to me about it, then I am all ears Mr...Mr..."

"You can call me Rex."

"Rex...I see...that's a nice name you got there."

"And how about yours?"

"You can call me S."

"S? Like the letter?"

"Yes, that is what you can call me. But anyway, now that we got introductions out of the way, please feel free to talk about what happened. No judgment from me."

Rex nodded his head and said, "Well, to put a long story short, my partner and I recently came back from a tough quest. We are adventurers, if you cannot tell so far, and we like to do stuff and help out here and there."

The cloaked figure reached over to his glass and drank a bit of his water, placing his elbows onto the table as he continued to listen intently.

"So on that last quest, we had to go and obtain an item. And that time was guarded by something."

The cloaked figure pushed his glass aside, leaning even closer to Rex.

"And luckily, my partner and I were able to defeat him...but..."

"But what?" asked the figure as he slowly scooched on over closer to Rex.

"But my partner did some stuff that I did not approve of. Granted that he was not in control of his body, he still did not sincerely apologize for what he did."

Raising an eyebrow underneath his cloak, the figure gestured to Rex to continue on, as he practically was sitting next to Rex now.

"My partner made me...wait a sec...when did you get here?" Rex looked at the figure and saw that he was sitting next to him all of a sudden. Rex started to scoot away, but the figure gently placed his hand on top of Rex's hand. "Umm, this is a bit too close, you know."

Gently caressing Rex's arm, the figure said, "Shh...it's alright. I can sense you have a lot of emotions right now. And I did say I will help you take care of that energy. Just continue on...I know you were about to get to the serious part...the part where all of your anger is coming from..."

Taking one deep breath, Rex said, "Alright. To put it bluntly, my partner forced me to suck his cock."

"Oh? He made you do what now?"

"He made me suck his cock, you know his dick."

"I see, and I assume you did not enjoy that at all."

"Of course not, no one would if it's against their own will. He made me suck his cock and then he proceeded to fuck me in the rear."

"Whoa, that is a bit much now. He wanted to both facefuck you and fuck you from behind. What kind of partner does that?"

"I know right? And S, the worst part of it, was earlier today. We talked about it, but he nonchalantly tried to not address it. And when I caught him, he kept trying to avoid it." Rex slammed the table with his fist, the anger within him flowing around.

Smiling underneath the hood, S reached over and gently patted Rex on his thigh. "Mmm, that too would get me angry. But, if you do not mind me asking, and understand you do not have to answer, did you get any release from it? I don't want to jump the gun, but there are some signs about which gender you are attracted to."

Shaking his head, too angry to properly process S's line of questioning, Rex said, "Honestly, I do not think so. I told him to not touch me at all while I was knocked out, and from what I can tell, at least he kept his word to that. All I remember was that he fucked me so hard in my rear, that it even caused my own dick to slip out in anger as well." As Rex continued to talk with S, his own member slowly emerged and caused a bit of a stain on the crotch of his pants. S reached over and gently placed his hand on Rex's groin, which Rex immediately fidgeted and looked at S. "Hey, what do you think you are doing?"

"I told you I was here to help you. I can tell you have a lot of pent up emotions going on, and what better release then to allow me to take care of your issues. You did walk into my brothel after all, and I own this place. And lucky for you, I am a nice guy, so free of charge." S started to reach into Rex's pants and slowly fish out his cock.

In Rex's mind, he wanted to scream and attack this stranger who he just met. He had the perfect opportunity to cast magic missile on his foe, but the rage within him, that fury, told him to just sit there and relax. Let this stranger take care of him, let him release all of that rage. "Umm, ok I guess...But make it quick..."

S reached over and slowly pulled down Rex's pants, seeing Rex's cock slowly stand proud, all 6 inches of it. "Mmm, he sure looks pent up. I assume you did not get any release ever since that ordeal." S slowly grabbed onto the shaft, feeling it pulsate and spew a bit of pre onto his clawed hand.

Murring softly, Rex looked down at his own cock and then over to S, "I was knocked out for like a few days and just woke up. So I guess you can say I did not have time to take care of him. And besides, my partner made me so angry that this was the last thing I had on my mind at the time."

Snickering, S started to pump up and down the shaft, causing more soft moans from Rex. "Don't worry there Rex, let good ole S take care of this for you. Trust me, I'll be sure to give you a happy ending you deserve for today."

Rex nodded and laid back, letting S work on his dick. S continued to pump on Rex's member, using his thumb claw to gently rub the head, causing Rex to spew more pre onto S's claw. S quickly brought it to his mouth and tasted it, relishing the flavor. "Mmm, you taste pretty good there. I know I have not seen any of your kind before. But who cares what you look like, all that matters is what you taste like, and from the little sample I have here, I know you are something special."

Rex closed his eyes, trying his best to enjoy the moment. He never had another guy jack him off before, but this wonderful feeling, the expert hands of this stranger, made it all worth it for him. "You sure know what you are doing S, almost like you are an expert in this."

Pumping up and down the shaft, varying his speed to get Rex on edge, S said, "Well of course. You did walk into my establishment after all. I may be the owner but I like to personally take care of my clients too. So now shush, just focus on all that pent up anger, all that emotion, just let it flow into your dick and you know what will come next."

Rex relaxed as best as he could, his breathing shallow, concentrating on all the anger he had towards Sol, knowing that his partner, that asshole, took advantage of him.

S felt Rex's cock pulse a bit more, so he continued to pump Rex's cock, teasing the head from time to time. Rex's moaning increased and S knew it was almost time. Hearing Rex slowly groaning in pleasure, S hit the engine and jacked Rex's cock like a piston.

Rex could not hold it anymore as he gave off one big moan and his cock pulsed hard, cum shooting like a fountain up onto his stomach and all over S's hand. S continued to pump his dick, as shot after shot of his milky substance continued to paint the scene around them. After a minute has passed, Rex panted and sat in his afterglow, his vision fading off a little. He looked over to S, who gave off a slight chuckle and brought up a sample of his milk so that S could get a better taste.

"Mmm..., this is really delicious there Rex. Arguably the best one I ever tasted. I can tell that you were really pent up, since you got everything here white."

Rex scratched the back of his head and apologized. "Sorry about that S, I never knew I was so pent up."

S brought his hand in a stop sign motion. "No need to apologize. I can clean up from here. But tell me, how do you feel? Better?"

Nodding his head, Rex replied, "Yeah, I actually do. I do not feel as angry anymore, but...I still have animosity towards my partner."

"I see, well it sounds like you still have some emotions towards him. Don't worry, I'll be here. You had a lot today, so why not just head back to your lodging and meet me here tomorrow. I'll help release all of that anger, and soon you will not have that fury in you anymore. Heh..."

Rex got up from his seat and exited the booth. He looked over to S and bowed his head. "Thanks for that then S. I'll see you tomorrow then?" S gave Rex a thumbs up and Rex smiled and exited the bar, closing the door behind him.

Looking down at the mess, and continuing to sample Rex's cum, S said to himself, "Mmm...looks like my plan is setting in motion...Thanks for the head's up there...Rubrum...I'll be sure to give you your revenge on these two...heh...heh...."

Rex looked up at the sky and saw the full moon up again. He managed to navigate his way back to the guild and quickly ran up into his room. He slowly opened the door and saw his partner there lying in bed, with his back to him. Rex's eyes narrowed with anger and disgust, shaking his head before jumping into bed himself.

The next few days rinsed and repeated themselves. Rex continued to avoid having any conversation with Solrent, and disappearing at night. Solrent tried to engage in a chat with Rex, but Rex always blew him off. Solrent would stay up at night, to hopefully catch Rex tired and vulnerable to talk. However, every chance he got, Rex immediately went straight to bed and was asked to be left alone. Solrent felt defeated, felt like he was losing his partner. He started to cry, not knowing what he could do to salvage their partnership. As he gave a big sniff, he smelled a strong, musky smell coming from their room. He knew he had relieved himself, but he made sure to take a shower afterwards. Solrent continued to sniff the air, and was able to pinpoint the strong musk emanating from Rex. Showing concern for his partner, Solrent knew what he needed to ask Rex the next day. And he hopes he will be able to break that tough shell of Rex.

The next morning came sooner than Solrent thought. He quickly got out of bed and opened the blinds to allow the bright rays of the sun light up their room. Annoyed, Rex woke up and angrily stared at Solrent. "Why the fuck would you do that if you knew I was still sleeping? There is more than just YOU here, you know."

"Hey Rex, you need to calm down. Look, I know the past week has not been the best, and the past few days you have been avoiding me, but we need to talk."

"Talk? Like you are the one to talk. You couldn't even talk to me when I asked you a question. And now you want to talk? Puh-lease. You aren't even worth talking to." Rex's aura of anger started to emanate.

Sensing hostility from Rex, Solrent tried his best to peacefully talk to Rex. "I know Rex that I may not be fluent in speaking like you are, since that is your specialty and what not, but please hear me out. I noticed you coming home late every night and you continued to avoid speaking to me. But please, I am concerned for your safety. You are not built to defend yourself like I am."

"Are you fucking for real? Just because you are more physically built than I am, does not mean I am unable to take care of myself. I am perfectly fine knowing how to dodge and avoid things as much as you. Sure, I cannot take a hit as well, but if it never hits me in the first place, I have nothing to worry about."

"I'm sorry, that came out wrong. I did not mean it like that."

"See, you cannot even apologize correctly. Whatever. I feel like we are done. And I mean it. We ARE DONE! After we finish this quest, I think it is best we just split. You have no regard for me at all, and you are just saying stuff to cover your own tracks."

Shocked, Solrent replied, "What are you talking about? What do you mean we are done?"

Rex crossed his arms and tapped his foot on the floor and said, "Exactly what I mean. WE ARE DONE!"

Solrent pleaded to Rex. "Rex, you are talking in anger. This is not like you. You are better than this. You are just letting your emotions get the better of you."

Rex scoffed in disgust and walked towards the door. "Like you are the one to talk about that. My emotions? Yeah right. Just like your emotions you had when you enjoyed fucking me in that cave. Ugh!" Rex punched his fist towards the wall and had one foot out the door. "Don't bother waiting for me, you can go fuck someone else, since you enjoy that so much, dick." Rex stormed out of the room, headed downstairs, and left the guild.

Solrent sat again in disbelief, shocked and unsure of what just happened. His partner, his companion, just left him for dead in their room. Solrent looked over at Rex's bed, seeing it disheveled and in disarray. Tears started to swell in his eyes, crying at the thought of this is all over for them. Their adventures together are now hanging on a knife's edge. Solrent wiped away his tears and decided to go look for Rex, to salvage anything possible in their relationship. Solrent left the guild and started wandering around town, in hopes of finding Rex.

Solrent searched every building around town, asking passersby and merchants if they had seen his scaly friend. Unfortunately, no one has seen his friend. Disheartened but still determined, Solrent continued on his quest to find Rex. Eventually, he arrived at the town's church. Solrent knew that he cannot be sad right now in finding Rex, that he needs to calm down and think straight. Once inside the church, he sat down on one of the benches and sent a prayer, hoping someone heard him in his plea for help.

Moments later, footsteps can be heard coming towards Solrent. Solrent briefly looked up and saw a woman approaching him. She was dressed in a typical "sister" outfit, the religious habit one would say. She had simple clothes on underneath the scapular and cowl while her veil covered the top of her long, blonde hair

"My dear sir, you seem to have some troubles on your mind. May I be of service to you?"

Athena

Sacred Fist Warpriest

Human

"Oh, yes sister, I am going through some personal stuff with my emotions and my partner. I just need someone to talk to right now. I hope you can help me with this."

The sister sat down next to Solrent, placing her hand on his knee, a wave of holy aura, one that is good, flowing towards him. "Please, you may address me as Athena. I am not too much into formal stuff like my other sisters."

Solrent nodded his head, "Yes Athena, my name is Solrent. it is a pleasure to meet you."

Smiling, Athena responded, "Of course Mr. Solrent. Now, what is it you would like to discuss? There are no judgments here, so feel free to talk about anything you need. I will keep it confidential to the best of my abilities."

Solrent then explained to Athena what happened recently on his adventures in the cave with Rex. He explained the warm, fuzzy feeling he had during their fight with Rubrum. As well as the events that unfolded within the cave. With a concerned look, Athena nodded her head, and urged Solrent to continue. Solrent then described what happened after they got back from the cave. Rex was filled with anger and hatred towards him, and has been disappearing every night. Rex no longer wants to speak to him and he wants to end their party as soon as this quest is done.

"So, you say he has been disappearing every night. Is that unusual? Like, has he done this before?"

"No, he has not Athena, it started ever since we had our argument. And very recently, he has been angrier every night. I know he is mad and hurt about what happened, but this is on a whole new level, like something has overtaken his mind or something."

"It doesn't sound like any mind control or hypnosis stuff, based on what you are telling me. But, I do have a feeling I know what is going on. I have been doing some research on my own about other individuals who have been wandering around at night, only to come back dazed and eventually void of emotions."

"Don't tell me Rex is going to be like this too. I know he is very emotional right now, but I do not want a ragdoll of my partner."

"This is just a hunch, my dear Solrent, nothing to concern yourself with right now. I am not entirely sure, but I will do my best to assist you."

"Are you sure that will be okay Athena? Aren't you guys against violence and what not?"

"Well...," Athena started to say, leaning closer and whispering into Solrent's horns. "Someone here has to protect the other ladies from being injured. I was given a bit of permission to train my body in self-defense. So no need to worry about that, I can easily take care of myself."

Solrent nodded his head in understanding. "I see, I appreciate that knowledge Athena."

"No problem Solrent. But here," Athena said as she handed Solrent a smooth stone. "This is a sending stone. Just rub it when you believe you have found Rex and send me a message mentally. Be sure to describe your surroundings and I will be on my way as soon as possible."

Solrent pocketed the stone and bowed to Athena. "Thank you Athena. I do hope we can find Rex and help him. I cannot see my partner being like this. I'll be taking my leave now. Thank you again Athena." Athena bowed her head as well and waved goodbye as Solrent started to head back to the lodge.

On his way back, Solrent noticed out of the corner in his eye, a familiar figure ahead of him. Briefly hiding behind the wall, Solrent looked forward and recognized him as Rex. "Hmm..I wonder where he is going..." Solrent continued to follow Rex, seeing him navigate to a part of the town he himself is not familiar with. Eventually, he approached some decrepit buildings and stalls. Solrent scanned his surroundings, trying to understand why Rex would even go into this area. "Huh, why would Rex even come here? There's literally no one here and oh shit..." Solrent panicked, unsure of where Rex went. "Of course, I take my eyes off for one second and I lose him. Ugh. I'll just have to do this the old fashion way." Solrent examined each of the buildings carefully and stealthily, peeking to see if Rex was inside.

After some time, Solrent came upon a rather interesting building. This one seemed to be a little bit more maintained than the others and he vaguely heard some noise coming from inside. Solrent approached the door and when he turned the handle, he noticed it was locked. He walked to the side of the building, and noticed all the windows were boarded up. "Hmm...strange...why would a building not have any open windows. Sounds like a fire hazard in my opinion. Wait...is that..?" Solrent approached one of the windows and was able to peek inside. What he saw was a bit of relief, but that of worry as well. He managed to find Rex, but he noticed a stranger sitting next to him as they were chatting it up. The stranger was a bit too close for Solrent's liking, but he knew what he had to do. Solrent reached into his pocket and rubbed the stone. Athena, I found Rex. I see decrepit buildings and stalls around. One building intact. Rex inside with stranger. I am going in. Over and out. Moments later, Solrent felt a mental surge in his brain. Do not, I repeat, do not do anything rash. I am on my way. I think I know where you are. Wait for me. Over. Solrent looked back at the stone and noticed the glow inside of them was rendered dull. "Guess these things are one-time use. Better keep my eye on Rex." Solrent peaked again through the hole in the window, and his body was filled with horror and anger. He witnessed the table in front of Rex and the figure was kicked to the ground and Rex's cock in full display. The figure was sensually kissing Rex on the cheek, while his hand rubbed that shaft up and down, Rex giving off soft moans from the handjob. The figure then moved his head down to Rex's cock and engulfed it into his maw, sucking loudly, causing Rex to scream in pleasure. Disgusted, Solrent reared back and started coughing.

"What the fuck man??" Solrent said to himself as he paced back and forward. "Ok, Solrent, calm down. Rex must be under something, there is no way he would let someone suck him off like that. I have to go rescue him. I know Athena told me to wait, but I just cannot leave my partner like this. I have to go get him." Solrent walked back towards the door and positioned himself in a running motion. He took one big breath before charging towards the door, taking careful steps along the way. Right as he was about to reach the door, he reared his right foot back and slammed his three clawed foot right into the door, busting it off its hinges and knocking it to the ground. Solrent ran inside and looked straight at the two, seeing Rex in a dazed look, his eyes a bit glazed over as the figure continued to suck Rex off.

"You there, who are you and what the fuck you think you are doing to my partner?!" Solrent yelled, his hand on his spear.

The figure pulled his mouth away from Rex's cock, giving it a kiss as a strand of pre still connected his lips to the tip of Rex's head. "So you must be the famous partner I have heard about. The one who enjoyed fucking his partner in the mouth and in the rear, and not even showing any remorse for it. Not only that, you left your partner blueballed, and forced me to help Rex with his problem."

Solrent raised his spear and pointed it at the figure's head. "Get away from him you heathen. You leave my partner alone or else."

The figure chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "Tough talk coming from you. You think you can defeat me. I know all about you, Solrent. I heard it all from my brother...Rubrum.." Solrent flinched after hearing that name. "Caught a nerve I see. I know what you did to him and I will return the favor. But first, let me introduce you to myself, the name's Spessart." The figure grabbed his own shoulder and swiftly removed the cloak, revealing a rather intimidating dragonewt. Muscle upon muscle can be seen from top to bottom, with an 8 pack being in full display around his belly. His toned biceps could crush any head when he flexed while his muscled legs can easily kick a hole into any wall. He looked like the type who would spend more time at the gym than anywhere else. The dragonewt barely wore any clothes, save for a simple tunic and trousers covering his under torso.

"I killed your brother, and I won't hesitate to do the same to you, you monster."

"Oh? You're calling me a monster? Look at yourself first before saying anything about me. And besides, I am way stronger than my brother. I doubt you can handle all of my physical strength. Rubrum may have been a bit scrawny, but he was an excellent dodger. I don't do that fancy crap. I just beat the shit out of who is in front of me. Taking you on will be a piece of cake, since your partner over here is now useless."

"What did you do to him?" Solrent asked as he prepared to lunge forward at Spessart.

"That is none of your concern right now," replied Spessart. "I promised him relief, and I gave it to him. It's just that, all of his anger, his fury, his wrath, it is oh so delicious." Spessart leaned over and gave Rex another kiss, Rex's cock pulsing as he just sat there, his tongue lolling out of his mouth. "With him out of commission, you should be easy to defeat, since you won't have any support from anyone. You are going to have to fight me 1 on 1, no tricks, just raw strength. But before that...," Spessart looks back at Rex's cock, "I need to finish what I started." Spessart went back to sucking off Rex, feeling that member pulse and spew more pre into his mouth.

"I won't let you do that. Get away from him!" Rex screamed as he propelled his body forward and lunged into the direction of Spessart.

As Spessart saw Solrent charge towards him, he smiled and heard Rex give off one big moan before shooting his load straight into his maw. He sucked Rex off with such brute force, that all of Rex's milk was depleted in just two shots. Spessart quickly savored the flavor before swallowing it down, Solrent seeing the movement in Spessart throat. Just as was about to pierce Spessart's shoulder with his spear, Solrent felt magically thrown backwards, as an overwhelming aura of fury and power emanated from Spessart. Solrent fell onto his back and struggled to get up, seeing Spessart slowly rise from his seated position and smiling evilly down at him. Rex laid there in the booth, his eyes glazed over, dazed and relaxed.

"Mmm, your partner does taste very delicious. You do not know what you are missing there, Solrent. All that anger, all that rage, all for me to take. His hatred towards you right now, is all the power I need to easily defeat you and make him my own personal pet."

Solrent quickly rose to his feet, taking a defensive stance towards Spessart. "YOU MONSTER! I will kill you for that."

Spessart snickered and said, "I like to see you try. Now, come at me." Spessart taunted Solrent, using his clawed finger to beckon him.

Solrent psyched himself up and reared back before lunging towards Spessart. As his spear pointed and aimed for Spessart's shoulder, the tip pressed in, but did not pierce the skin. Solrent's momentum kept propelling him forward, the head of his spear bending slightly until his face approached Spessart's muscular chest. Smirking down at him, Spessart grabbed Solrent's throat with one hand before easily tossing him to the side. Solrent collided into a table, splitting it into two pieces as he grabbed his throat and coughed. Looking back up at Spessart, he saw him continue to smirk at him, laughing maniacally.

"Pssh, is that all you got. I barely felt a thing. And to think, my brother lost to someone like you. Pathetic, if you say so."

"Grr...I'll make you regret those words you heathen." Solrent slowly got up, holding onto his lance as support.

"Heh, my turn then," Spessart said before he charged at Solrent, readying his axe behind him before swinging with full force. Solrent managed to dodge and step to the side, but Spessart swiftly swung, hitting Solrent with the blunt side of the axe. Luckily, Solrent was able to parry the blow with his spear, but the force of the swing still knocked him back a few steps. "Mmm, I see...you are that kind of fighter. I wonder what other tricks you may have." Spessart turned his body and charged once again at Solrent.

Solrent was prepared this time, seeing Spessart charged as he felt a surge within him and dodged the next attack, using some evasive footwork to slide and jump as Spessart swung his axe down, creating a big hole in the floor of where he once stood. Panting, Solrent smiled at Spessart, showing his determination to keep on fighting. "You...think you got me...but you don't..."

Shaking his head, Spessart replied, "I know you will eventually run out of your little fancy maneuvers. You are talking to the guy who relishes the fight. Out of all my brothers, I am the strongest and I know the ins-and-outs of fighting. You will fall to me, and I'll make sure to enjoy every second of your slow death."

"Yeah...I'll be sure to enjoy yours as well," Solrent said with a bit of mockery.

Feeling enraged, Spessart roared, "RAWR! You are going to regret that." Spessart quickly rushed Solrent, swirling his axe at Solrent's head. Solrent shifted to his side, but Spessart smirked as he brought his left fist over and punched Solrent directly in his gut. Solrent grimaced, coughing saliva as the force of that punch reverberated throughout his entire body. With his fist still in Solrent's belly, Spessart grabbed him by the shoulder and slammed Solrent into the ground. The momentum caused Solrent's body to bounce before Spessart brought his strong leg up and kicked Solrent across the room, into the wall. Solrent's body fell onto the floor, coughing up blood as he squirmed on the ground.

Spessart stood firm, tilting the head of his axe onto the ground as he placed his palm on the bottom of the handle. "Heh, I told you I will make you regret it. Now get up! Fight me like a man to the death. Or else," as Spessart looked over to Rex's dazed body. "I may just forgo making him my pet and just slay him here myself. Don't want to take any chances now, since I know what you two are capable of. I'll make it easier on my other brothers, so they do not have to worry about it."

Solrent struggled mightily to pull himself onto his feet, leaning heavily on the shaft of his spear, blood dripping down his mouth as the bruises and welts around his body dulled some of his pain. Spitting up a bit of blood to his side, "Don't...you lay...a finger on him...I'm the one...you want..." Solrent tried to walk towards Spessart, but slipped and fell to his knee.

Spessart chuckled and said, "I love that fighting spirit in you. But you know this is over. Now, I was going to torture you slowly for what you did to your partner, but I am feeling a bit merciful today. I'll just end it quickly." Spessart slowly walked over to Solrent, twirling his axe before raising it with both of his hands. "Any last words?"

Solrent looked up, seeing the menacing figure of Spessart above him. He tried to bring his spear up, but his arms betrayed him. He had no strength left in him, no way to defend himself. He just closed his eyes and prepared for the worst.

"Heh, guess not. Now DIE!" Spessart exclaimed as he swung his axe down with full force. Just as he was about to make contact with Solrent's head, a figure quickly moved and jumped in front of Solrent, bringing their arms in a cross motion. The sound of metal clanking amongst one another echoed throughout the room. The figure quickly pushed their arms in a forward motion, causing Spessart to jump back while grabbing onto Solrent and jumping back as well.

"I told you, Mr. Solrent, to wait for me. And now look at you, you barely can stand on your own two feet. I am glad I made it just in time." Solrent looked at the figure above him and was happy to see a familiar face. Athena looked back at Solrent, smiling and gently rubbing his face. "You've gone and done it now haven't you. Tried to do this all by yourself, trying to play the hero. But you should know your limits too."

"I'm sorry...Athena...I just saw...Rex...and how this guy...violated him..."

"I had a feeling that's why you went in. I know your love for your partner is strong and you want to protect him. I see the good in you for that. Your trust in your partner is what keeps your bond together strong. Now, close your eyes and let me heal you real quick." Athena placed her palm on Solrent's closed eyes as she said underneath her breath, Fervor, as a flow of good energy wafted throughout Solrent's body, healing all of his wounds and filling him up with vigor. Solrent was able to stand on his own two feet and brought his spear back into his offensive stance. "There, better?"

Solrent nodded and said, "Much obliged Athena, now what to do about this guy," as Solrent pointed his spear at Spessart.

Spessart shook his fist in anger and pointed his axe at Athena, "YOU! You dare invade in my duel with this coward. Do you not honor combat?"

Athena punched her fists together, the gauntlets she wore resounded in the room. "Heh, you call that a true duel. You already fought with an advantage from the start. You absorbed all the energy from his partner, and you call that a fair fight? You fought dirty from the beginning."

Spessart sneered at Athena and said, "Bah! Preparing for battle is being smart, not playing dirty. I plan to start with advantages. It's called strategy."

Athena shook her head, but smiled. "Heh, if you even can call that a real strategy. I am surprised a barbarian like you knows anything about strategy. I thought it was just 'Me big buy, Me swing axe.'"

Enraged with more anger, Spessart spatted, "You dare mock me. You ain't nothing but a priest. I'll be sure to eliminate you after I eliminate them."

Athena shrugged her shoulders and looked over to Solrent before looking back at Spessart. "I doubt it. But I will honor your one vs one fight with Solrent. If you can somehow defeat him, I'll give you the fight you so desperately want. But first..." as Athena kneeled to the floor, and placed her hands in a prayer. "Let me even the battlefield, just a little." Athena closed her eyes and started a prayer. She uttered one phrase, one spell, Calm Emotions. The entire area around the room was filled with a wave of tranquility. Any thoughts about rage and anger felt more peaceful. Looking over at Spessart, the flow of negative energy around him started to dissipate, the feelings of rage within him dwindling as he stood inside the aura.

Feeling his power being zapped from him, Spessart screamed, "You Bitch! I will kill you for this!" Spessart then charged with all of his might towards Athena. However, Solrent quickly stepped in front of Athena and blocked the attack from Spessart. Solrent struggled to keep the blow from coming down on them, but managed to hold his ground as he looked back at Spessart and smirked. He pushed back and leaned in with his shoulder and shoved Spessart back, causing Spessart to stumble.

Spessart caught his footing and looked back at Solrent, who looked more determined than ever. "You! But how! This shouldn't be like this!"

Solrent looked back at Athena, who maintained her prayer before he stared back at Spessart, readying his spear. "Heh, I guess we are on equal grounds now, Spessart. Looks like all of your own tricks are now nullified. Your overconfidence will be your undoing, just like your brother Rubrum. Can't use any secrets now, can you?"

"Why you, I'll defeat you without those powers," Spessart said as he charged forward at Solrent.

Solrent readied his spear and parried Spessart's swing, sticking his foot out and tripping Spessart into the ground. Spessart fell flat, his body causing the boards on the floor to crack under his weight. Solrent chuckled, readying his defensive stance again as Spessart slammed his fist into the ground, trying to get enraged. However, the aura around him prevented any ability for him to draw into these powers. "Nice try there Spessart, I guess this is now more of a fair fight."

They continued fighting and exchanging blows, the sound of Solrent's spear clunking against the blade of Spessart's axe. Blow after blow, Solrent and Spessart were evenly matched. After some time, both combatants stood their ground, panting and catching their breath. "Heh...not so tough after all, Spessart."

Spessart cracked his neck and grinded his teeth, "I'm going to kill you, you little man. This is it. Time to end your pathetic life, once and for all." Spessart screamed at the sky, and charged recklessly at Solrent.

As Spessart approached him, Solrent took one deep breath and closed his eyes. He knew he had one shot, one chance to end this once and for all. The gemstone in his pocket glowed and pulsed with energy. The warm, fuzzy feeling coursed throughout his entire body, yet Solrent's judgement felt clear. He felt empowered by the stone, the feelings he had for his partner. Those strong emotions and love for Rex gave him a potential he never felt before. At the last instance, Solrent ducked as Spessart swung the axe towards his head. Solrent squatted and propelled his legs towards Spessart, lunging forward with all his might. After the dust settled, Solrent and Spessart stood meters apart, firm in their stance. Solrent gave a little grimace but turned back to look at Spessart, seeing him clutch his side and on one knee.

Solrent walked over to Spessart, stood in front of him and pointed his spear at his head. "It's over Spessart. Just admit it. I won this fight."

Spessart held onto his side, blood endlessly seeping through his fatal wound, "Bah...I can't believe it...how can you...defeat me...I had your partner's...power in me...if it wasn't...for that bitch..."

Solrent shoved the spear closer to Spessart's head and said, "Hey. Watch it. You have no right to call her that. And besides, I won because I have the support of the friends I made. Their power helped me overcome your selflessness. You may have stolen those powers from Rex, but your misuse of them proved to be your downfall."

Spessart shook his head and replied, "Heh...Don't need no life speech from you...Still, I may be leaving this world...but know that...my fury, my wrath will always follow your partner...Just like your strong feelings for your partner will never leave you...*pause*...But beware...I see another deep secret in you...be prepared to address those feelings...those jealous thoughts you might have...they too will be your reckoning..." Spessart turned over and laid sprawled on the ground, gasping for air as he looked up at Solrent and Athena who now approached them.

"That may be so Mr. Sinner, but I know Solrent, and what I can gather about Rex. They are more than prepared to defeat you and all your evil brothers. They have the capability to control their emotions and your influence on them will be rendered moot."

Spessart's body started to disintegrate just like Rubrum. He gave off one last piece of advice before disappearing from this world. "We will never leave them...you will see...my dear sister...you will see..." All that was left of Spessart was a glowing orange gemstone, a spessartine pulsing with life.

Solrent picked up the gemstone and walked over to Rex, seeing him slowly wake up from his daze. Solrent reached down and slowly picked up Rex's head, his partner's eyes being filled with life once more. "Hey there Rex, how are you feeling?"

Rex looked up and began to cry, hiding his face into Solrent's chest. "I'm sorry Solrent...I did not mean to make you go through that...I'm sorry my anger got the better of me..."

Solrent reached over and wiped away the tears in Rex's eyes and hugged him tightly. "No Rex, it is my fault. You did not deserve to go through all that. I apologize for everything I have done and did not correct. I put you through all this. It is entirely my fault and I should have come to you sooner about what happened the other day. You are the best partner I can ever ask for and I need to respect your boundaries as well."

"Oh Solrent. I have to take blame too. I was so enraged with hate towards you, I did not even think straight. Will you ever forgive me?"

"Rex...I should be begging for your forgiveness." Solrent gave another big hug before releasing his partner and handed to him the orange gemstone. "Look, we managed to defeat him. We finally got two of the seven gemstones we needed. I think it is best if you hold onto this one then."

Rex grabbed the gemstone and felt a wave of energy flow into him. Feelings of anger wafted through his body, as his eyes flashed briefly with the color orange. Rex took a deep breath, closing his eyes momentarily before opening them again, smiling up at Solrent. "Thanks Sol, I knew we could do it...or rather...you did it." Rex pocketed the gemstone.

"No no Rex, we did it. We did it together."

"He's right Rex, I would say it was a combined effort from everyone involved. By the way, my name is Athena. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Athena reached down and helped Rex onto his feet.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Athena," Rex said as he looked at Athena from top to bottom. "I am glad Sol found comfort in being able to talk to someone, especially someone of your holy status."

"Ehh, I would not say I am the most holy person you would think, but I do appreciate it. Solrent came to me with troubles in his mind, and it is my duty as a sister to help him overcome it. But now, you too look extremely tired, you guys should head back to your lodge and get some rest. I'll take over from here and write a report back to the church."

Solrent grabbed onto Rex's arm and placed it over his shoulder as they walked towards the exit. "Thanks Athena, I know both Rex and I feel very tired after all that. We may take a little bit of a break before we continue with the other 5 gemstones."

"I agree Sol, I am feeling rather apathetic after all that. We deserve some rest. Thanks again Athena, we will see you soon." Solrent and Rex then headed out the door, back towards the guild.

As they were exiting, Athena looked over at the pair but saw two dark figures following behind them. Athena observed harder and noticed the figures appearing to be dragonian like, one of the two looked awfully familiar. A red hue was surrounding Solrent while an orange one surrounded Rex. The moment their feet stepped outside the entrance and into the sunlight, the figures dissipated, lost in the bright sunlight. Athena placed her hand below her chin and thought, "I better keep an eye on those two...for their sake at least..."
