I woke with a start. A loud banging noise ruptured the deep sleep I was under. I rolled and ached with the sudden pain. I'd leaned on my hand. Snow crawled off the bed and strolled aross the lounge, he opened the door slowly. I held my breath and then relaxed when I saw Eddie stroll inside the hotel room. He walked through the lounge and then looked at me on the bed. I crawled down the bed and huddled over the edge. "Something wrong, Harlan?" I winced and suddenly noticed I was aching more on my back too. Ethan had slammed me against the lounge wall, so it was to be expected.

"I need you and Snow to move out of here as soon as possible," he said.

"What's happened?" I asked, I panicked a little.

"Ethan's been spotted in the area. I'm not taking chances, but I'm assuming he's narrowed his search down, and knows where you are," Harlan explained, "He may have got the address from the policeman who he killed in your bedroom."

"That was a policeman?" I asked.

Harlan nodded. "Plain clothes police officer who was canvasing the area. He heard the windows shatter when Ethan was trashing you home. He ended up dead, and its plausible Ethan got the hotel name out of him." Harlan took a deep breath and sighed. "There is a car down in the car park. Head down there and drive, drive until I phone you. Head as far out of London as you can. There's a chance we can snatch Ethan out of the streets. But I'd rather be cautious."

"So we just drive then until you call us? Sounds like a plan. You all set?" Snow asked, looking down at me. He walked to the wardrobe and snatched a dress shirt from inside. He slipped it over his naked chest, as he walked to Harlan and took the keys he offered there. "Take my mobile number. Ethan hasn't bothered contacting me. Just in case he can follow Eben's phone signal somehow." He and Harlan traded phone numbers and whilst they talked in hushed whispers, I changed clothes. I donned a dark blue tank top and black denim jeans, pale blue and grey high-tops. The silver remained in my ear and I closed the wardrobe door. I tousled my head fur and took time to tighten the bandages around my palm.

"You all set, Eben?" Snow asked a second time. I looked up and nodded.

"I apologise, Eben. I should've seen this coming." Eddie looked apologetic, and almost sad around the corners of those pale green eyes. I considered him for a moment.

"Mistakes happen, Mr. Harlan. Your making sure Ethan doesn't harm us. Your doing a good job," I assured him.

He still held that saddened expression, and then nodded. "Head down in the elevator. The car is a 4x4 Land Rover. Head into the outer boundaries of London until I call you back."

Snow took my hand and nodded. He rushed for the hotel room door and in moments we were running down the corridor toward the elevator. He slammed his palm into the button and we waited.

"You alright?" he asked.

"Bad choice of question," I replied with a frightened smile.

"Just remember what I said last night. He won't get to you. I promise," he assured me.

I smiled and squeezed his hand. I bumped my head against his and huddled there while the doors opened wide.

The elevator sailed downward, we passed the other floors in no time and soon found the underground car park. The doors had barely opened as we stepped out onto the concrete floor. Snow spotted the Land Rover, registrations confirmed as he lead me across the quiet car park, his face determined as we neared the car. He stopped dead and gazed down the sloping car park at the enormous shutters that barred our exit.

"The exit's locked down," he murmured.

There was a loud slam that turned us both around.

Ethan!

He was standing with his back to the door we'd just entered through. He pushed from the door and grinned. His maddened blue eyes widened as he stalked toward us. He'd lost the suit jacket somewhere along the line, he tore at the sleeves until they were shredded and falling to the concrete. He yanked the shirt open and grinned. He was spattered with blood. His tail almost wagged. His grin widened as he glared at us both. Snow pushed the keys into my hand, and ordered, "Lock yourself inside!"

"I'm not leaving you out here with this freak!" I snarled back in panic.

"Eben, Eben, Eben," Ethan wagged his finger at me as he spoke. "Is that any way to speak to your big brother?" he growled.

"Get inside the car and lock the doors. He's unarmed, I'll handle him," Snow assured me. He took a step, fists clenched. My hands wrapped around his own and I pulled.

"No!"

"Eben!" he snarled down at me. He'd never looked so furious before, let alone at me. "Get in the fucking car and let me handle him!" he growled. He yanked his hand free from me.

Ethan laughed and applauded. "Such drama. You queens sure are a dramatic breed," he grinned.

"You have no fucking clue!" Snow snarled back.

"Is the white knight pissed about something? Did I bother you with something?" Ethan asked with an apologetic look that soon faded to arrogance.

"You've threatened us left, right and centre. You've made Eben bleed, and now your involving the police in your madness."

"Snow?" I looked a question at him.

"Think about it. Harlan hands us the keys to a working vehicle and orders us down here, then Ethan shows up? Something tells me Harlan is in on this. I have a feeling the car doesn't even drive."

Ethan applauded again. "Such a clever kitten!"

"Harlan's a decent guy. How'd you corrupt that one?" Snow demanded.

"It's amazing the lengths a man will go to to ensure his children don't get snatched from the school playground," Ethan growled.

"He threatened Harlan and Harlan agreed to help him for the sake of his children," I murmured.

"Can't say I blame him, but still, we're in trouble. Eben? I told you to get inside the car," Snow growled again, looking at me now with that furious determination.

"Enough talk! I want your heads rolling on the ground before sundown!" Ethan snarled. He suddenly rushed forward, manic laughter ruptured that madman's charge.

Snow snapped his attention back to the madman, and took three steps forward, he reared back his fist and swung straight. Ethan's insanity kept him running. Snow's fist connected and smashed Ethan's muzzled. Blood flew in an arc over the canine, while Snow continued his onslaught. He took a step forward and thrust his elbow into Ethan's chest. There was a cracking noise. A rib or two had snapped. Snow balled up Ethan's head fur in one hand and with a full turn he launched the man across the ground, Ethan skidded and rolled until he slammed against the bonnet of another car. The alarm sounded in a blair of noise. Ethan remained motionless for a moment and then a small, almost desperate sound echoed around us. He slammed a paw unto the dented bonnet of the car he'd hit and dragged himself up. Snow frowned and stalked toward him. I was startled. I had had no idea Snow was this dominant. I watched as Snow grabbed Ethan by the head fur again.

"You've done nothing but torment us, Black! And I've had enough!" he snarled as he wrapped a hand around the man's throat and lifted him.

Ethan spluttered blood and glared down at the feline holding him up. "You think you can save him from me? Your pathetic!" he spat.

"I'm pathetic? Have you looked in the mirror?" Snow demanded. He launched Ethan again, the wolf smashed across another bonnet, a loud alarm blared while the canine fell from the bonnet and slumped upon the floor. He cackled, he spluttered blood and choked on his own insane laughter. Snow growled and took a step toward the bruised, bloodied and battered wolf. Several things happened at once, Snow took one more step, those furious blue eyes growing intense with his own actions. There was a flash of steel and a loud bark of laughter from the wolf, his eyes went manic, as a loud bang ruptured the sound of laughter.

Snow staggered for a moment and padded backwards. Blood spattered the concrete underneath him as he gazed down at his abdomen. A red stain widened and looked stark against the tank top he'd worn. He staggered again. I stared at him. This wasn't happening! There was no way this was happening!

I screamed, "Snow!" as the hulking lover collapsed onto his backside and then fell backwards, blood began to pool underneath him as he looked to the side and looked at me. His hand stretched out, a desperate last reach, as his eyes darkened. I scrambled from beside the Land Rover and rushed to him. I was almost there when a black blurred form slammed me and we rolled in a heap across the concrete. I struggled and focused on what was bleeding on the car park floor. "Snow? Snow, answer me!" tears welled and spilled down like hot ravines down my face as a hand pushed me back and pinned me. Ethan stradled me, his manic eyes glaring down at me. He let his madness take him as I screamed and sobbed for the man I loved.

"He's dying, Eben. The one you love is dying. How does it fucking feel?" Ethan hissed.

"Snow! No! Snow answer me, please!"

"Look at me!" Ethan growled, he raised his gunhand again, and aimed for the bleeding man. He fired once more. Snow's form shook with the dull thud of another bullet wound. This one sank into his thigh. He'd been so quiet. He just gazed at me, those bright blue eyes were darkening, glossing over. I was losing him! I looked up at Ethan. I hated him. I fucking hated this wolf. "Much better! You feel that, Eben! Its hatred. Hatred and such loneliness. I've lived with that for years while you lived here with that white knight of yours!" he growled.

"Your a fucking madman!" I screamed, "I'll kill you!"

"That's right! You want me dead? Would you watch me bleed to death if I shot myself?" he touched the barrel of his gun to his temple and grinned, "Do you want that?"

"Get the fuck off me!" I screamed. I lunged at him. We rolled backwards. The gun skittered across the floor while we rolled. I pinned him and swung my arm back. I smashed a fist into the side of his muzzle. He laughed as he moved with each blow. "You fucking tormented me! You fucking ruined the life I had!" I screamed. I grabbed his head in both hands and smashed my own forehead against his own. Blood spattered between us, the man collapsed back as his eyes glaised. He was losing consciousness, but still laughing, still relishing in the madness he'd envoked. I looked across the ground and found the gun. Did it still have ammo? I stood up and stalked over before crouching to take the weapon in hand. I had brushed a fingertip to the smooth, metallic weapon, when Ethan lifted me and slammed me against the bonnet of another car. I cried out from the impact and looked up at that wild, insane wolf that had once been my brother.

"I need you to understand the pain, Eben! I need you to understand the pain I suffered when they died!" Ethan growled.

"I wasn't to blame, Ethan! I never did anything!"

"You turned into a fucking queer. It made them divide. You ripped them apart because of the people you sleep with!"

"I didn't kill mom! And I didn't kill dad!" I snarled back at him.

"If you hadn't become a fucking queer then they wouldn't have argued, and divided! Mom would have died and dad would have still lived on! He'd have recovered from her death and got on with life. But your being there sent him over the edge!" he wrapped a hand around my throat. "I'll do what dad wanted in the end! I'll fucking kill you!"

"Then fucking do it!" I screamed in his face. His hand squeezed and my breath was stolen from me as I was pressed back against the bonnet. I clawed his forearms and his face, while he glared down at me. The manic glare would be the last thing I saw. I glared back at him, my vision blurred. I was still weak from the severe blood loss. He slammed my wounded hand down and pinned it to the bonnet, he put pressure on the bandage, his grin widened as he watched blood stain the white bandages.

"I'll make you bleed and cry and fall into the depths of Hell!" Ethan screamed as he leaned into and growled from inches away.

There was a sudden movement behind him. A tall, muscular frame slammed a hand against his chest and hauled him off of me. His claws scraped my neck and hand as he was pushed back. Snow staggered with him, and held the wolf close. Ethan grinned and looked as astounded as I was. "You fucking survived?" he growled.

Snow never spoke. He held Ethan close and then a gunshot ruptured the quiet again. Ethan staggered against him, he shuddered as blood spilled and spattered the ground underneath him. He looked up at Snow and opened his mouth to speak, his grin collapsed as he welled with pain and blood. Snow pulled the trigger again and again and again until it clicked empty. He never looked down at the man hunched over his ruined abdomen, he just held him and fired empty round again and again. When he was satisfied he released Ethan, who staggered back and collapsed in a heap, blood pooled under him. Snow staggered backward and then slumped back against the bonnet. I slid down and crouched beside him. He had pressed a hand to his wounds and looked up at me with heavy-lidded eyes. "Told you," he breathed.

"Told me what?" I stammered.

"I told you I'd...kill him..." he replied. He winced and his hands began dropping from his wounds. I pressed my hands in place.

"Snow? Snow? Snow, I need you to put pressure on the wounds while I go get help! Please!" I demanded.

The feline looked up at me, his eyes half closed. He never spoke, he just raised his hands and pressed them weakly against his abdomen and thigh.

"Thank you." I kissed his cheek and gave him one more look. I stood up and rushed across the car park. I glanced at the bleeding form that had been my brother. His eyes had rolled into the back of his head.

The man was dead. Now all I needed to do was make sure another man did not die!
