Dillobot

Some age regression reality shifting with Kit and my Naomi, here as a helpful dillobot bringing out various clothes for the day, but the older they get the younger Kit seems to get... ^^

"Morning, Naomi," said Kit the roocoon to his helper-bot, a shiny stylised armadillo girl slightly shorter than him, with antennae ears and a soft hum and whirr as she moved. "Really glad it's the end of the week."

"Morning! Can't fault a Friday," she said, looking up from her cleaning. "I'll have the rest of the house tidy when you're done, and your work clothes are out and ready."

Kit looked, and sure enough they were: short-sleeved shirt, formal trousers. Fairly usual. "Mm, thanks Naomi. You know though, I might change it up, something less stuffy today."

The 'dillobot smiled, and left her current task to begin rooting through one of the clothing drawers, until she held up a casual T-shirt with pictures of otters and minks drifting in water. "I mean, this one was nice and I haven't seen it for a while."

"Ooh, I've still got that? No, I haven't worn that for ages," grinned Kit, feeling a bit nostalgic, holding up the shirt and looking into the drawer.

"Mm! There's a few you used to wear all the time but you don't know. I can have a look if you want to keep getting ready?"

Kit put on the shirt. It felt warm and familiar, and he was fairly sure he hadn't worn this since college. Or high school? It seemed snug at first, but now it was just right. Yawning, scratching between ears, he lifted up the jeans Naomi had set out, with their buttons where his tail would need to go.

Hmm, hadn't these been more formal a moment ago? Kit was looking for a more casual day, but surely someone at work would...

Work? Today was classes, work was tomorrow morning, helping out at the store. Kit blushed, and looked around at his more colourful room with the posters, and the raccoon bedspread, and his timetable. Yeah, classes. The college roo felt a bit silly, thoughts all over the place.

Naomi came through, shiny bot in her cardigan, and set down a couple more clothes. "Some casual stuff you used to wear a lot," she said, peeking at him. "Mm, see, it's a nice shirt. Let's see what else I can find."

Kit felt a little flustered, indeed his helpful bot had pulled out some clothes he used to wear a lot, but it was all things he wore at school. Shorts, cartoon shirts, goggles and bandana, more bright colours, greens and blues and whites. "Oh, Noom, it's a nice idea, but I'd look silly at, at..."

School? The roo was distracted from cartoons, but no, that was a high school timetable on the wall and time was ticking on. He'd be late soon, and he still needed to have breakfast. On went the jeans, even if they didn't seem big enough, they were fine in the end. Buttoned up. Kit was feeling very confused, like maybe he hadn't quite woken up today, was he still dreaming?

Naomi looked down at him. The dillobot seemed to have a bit more colour too, with velvety felt and clothes, made her look a bit like some of the toys in Kit's room; plushies, figurines, some of the Pokémon toys there, lots of Eevee stuff. "Oh, plenty for me to do when you're at school," she grinned. "Want to look at any more clothes? Here, let me help."

The school-age roo couldn't stop blushing, "W-wait, something isn't right, I could have sworn..."

"Aww, well, don't swear. Kind of a grown-up thing, that. So you're happy with your Eevee shirt and shorts, but I think your green outdoors jacket would be good, and the goggles-"

"Hey, Noom, I- I can do this," mumbled Kit. "I've been dressing myself for, for, umm..."

The roo seemed very small all of a sudden. Naomi was taller, and his room was pretty big, though it was the same as it always was; toys in boxes, posters and pictures, a little chalk mark on the wall for his height. Kit could even see the 10 year mark... until it disappeared, leaving just the 9, and 8, and all those younger ages. He was nine, or eight, yeah, eight; and Noomi was his big, cuddly dillobot, who also looked after him. Not just felted, but a living plushie, and Kit felt like hugs so he jumped over and gave hugs. It had been a busy morning already.

"Mmm, hihi sweetie. You satisfied with clothes yet? Definitely looks a bit old on you, but I think it works."

"N-Noom, I dunno, something weird is going on..."

"Oh? If you're not feeling well, maybe stay home, you're looking kinda red," smiled the dillobot, before lifting Kit up.

Oooh.

It was nice up here. Really cosy in Noom's arms as she fussed, took temperature, it didn't seem to be that bad. The little roo snuggled in close and felt a lot better, tail wiggling. Jeans turned to shortalls, rolled up at the leg and clicking in place around shoulders. There was rustling and crinkling around his waist, leaving him suitably padded. Perhaps there could be daycare later, but he'd be okay with his dilloplush for a while longer.

"Hmm. Brekkist," mumbled Kit.

"Good idea. I think we're done with clothes for now, kiddo," smiled his Naomi plushbot. "Gonna make pancakes, and there's banana, and honey..."

Something about the way he was being doted on made the roo blush. Being a kid was fun. Of course, wasn't that how he'd always been?
