Psionic Investigations Unit

Chapter 4

for DuskCypher

by Draconicon

D wasn't a bottom. He'd made that clear to every partner that he had ever had, and he'd made double-sure that everyone that had come up to him with an appreciation for his ass knew that he appreciated their attention, but they were never going to get it. The only time that he had ever bottomed was as a power bottom, giving that as a reward to someone that deserved the sort of reward that was something of a sacrifice on his part.

This wasn't anything like that, but the black cat knew that it was the only way to disrupt the Psion's attention enough for him to risk fighting back. His Nullifying abilities were not at the best when he was dealing with this kind of distraction. He'd made it work when he was rutting Polypus into the ground, but that had been as much about keeping the stallion distracted with a harsh series of thrusts as it had been using his own abilities. Having a fat cock pressed against his ass, however, and knowing where it was going, was more like being on the other end. If he didn't push back, if he didn't do something to keep the wolf off-balance, then he was the one that was going to end up corrupted, warped, lost.

Thankfully, it seemed that the wolf was just a telekinetic, which was one of the easier Psions to deal with at the lower classes. There wasn't much they could do beyond physically injuring and restraining someone, so as long as he didn't let this go on too long, he should be fine.

Mostly.

Hopefully.

The black cat gritted his teeth as he felt that slippery, oozing tip rubbing beneath his tail, grinding right between his cheeks and over his hole. The wolf's breath against the back of his neck was hot, just a bit wet, and there was a growling need to his voice that made it very clear that D was going to get it hard.

"You are...eager, I think..."

The wolf could not have been more mistaken, but the handjob that he was getting at least made his cock look like he wanted this. That was half the problem, quite honestly. His body was getting the sort of signals that was going to get what it wanted, even though he knew -

"Nnnngh..."

The tip of that shaft rubbed against his pucker again, this time sliding half an inch inside before pulling back. The stinging warmth of that heated thrust was enough to make his shaft flex, then soften slightly, sagging in the wolf's grip. His molester growled.

"Yessss...bow to your top..."

Another thrust, another grind, just enough to sink the head in with a moist pop. D shivered slightly, huffing as he felt the slight pleasure that came with the stretch this time. He could take it, he knew. It was just how embarrassing this was going to be to go through.

Just take it...just take it and make it work...

The next time that the wolf pushed forward, he pushed back, and it was just as big as he had imagined it would be. The side of him that was almost exclusively a top hated this, while the rest of him just tried to focus on the good part, the pressure on his prostate, the stretching feeling at his rim, and all the other little pleasurable things that still came from that sort of action. He growled under his breath, his pinned hands curling into fists, and he could feel his cock reversing its downwards trip already.

"Yessss, that's it...show me how much you want it..."

Oh, if you want that...

D growled under his breath, but he slowly worked his hips back and forth, fucking himself on the wolf's cock. The thick thing burned, alright, but it was slowly turning into something he was used to. The heat around his rim faded into the background compared to that regular pressure right against his prostate, making him groan again and again and again, feeling that heat building up, then slowly going down, then building up again. The thickness of that shaft played in its favor as he worked his hips back again and again, slowly feeding himself that thick cock and enjoying it.

More to the point, the feeling of taking control by being the one to do all the moving took some of the sting out of it. He wasn't being molested; he was showing the wolf how to do this properly.

In, out, in, out, and soon the wolf was starting to pant as much as the other bitches that he had enjoyed had. D smiled slightly, looking over his shoulder to see the wolf's eyes closed, the Psion enjoying his 'bitch' the way that so many others had wanted.

No hands...no pulling with his mind...

It was getting close to time to push him back, to take control again, but D knew better than to assume that he would be free to act just because there was no active work. The restraints were still there, though stretchier than they had been. He needed to push this just a bit further, ensure that the Psion didn't pull some bullshit at the last minute.

So, he shifted his riding slightly, pushing back and rolling his hips from side to side rather than just doing a straight ride. The sudden difference of the wolf's cock tip rubbing against his inner walls at that angle was rather pleasurable for him...and much more so for the canine.

The Psion gasped as D started speeding up, fucking himself back harder and harder. He gritted his teeth to keep his own moans back, keeping his attention focused on the cock in his ass and the feeling of the big guy's needs that were obviously throbbing in clear signals through that rod. He kept riding it, forcing himself back and forth, building the wolf up. He could feel the slippery slime that was already oozing from it, how much it was filling him up. Nice and slippery now, making the riding that much easier.

Forward, back, forward, back. The restraints holding him against the wall had all but dissipated now, so it wouldn't be long.

You're close...

And so was he, annoyingly. His cock throbbed, oozing pre-cum all over the wall, throbbing and spitting with his own juices. The wolf moaned, whispering something, but it was so quiet and so incoherent that D just ignored it, focusing on the various stimulation that he needed to keep an eye on. He rolled his hips back, felt the wolf jerk forward -

And the restraints disappeared.

D pulled forward, dropping down to pull off a short kick. The wolf tumbled over, cock spraying into the air and then back into his face. The feline drop-kicked him, slamming his heel into the other male's guts, and as the wolf wheezed for air, it was easy to cover his mouth and pin his throat, choking him out before he could get his concentration back for the telekinesis.

The wolf didn't stay conscious long after that. His cock remained hard, though, probably something from the lack of air, and twitched madly against his belly. D shook his head, getting back to his feet.

"Asshole," he muttered.

Ring, ring.

Ring, ring.

Ring, ring.

"And there's the other asshole," he muttered, fishing through his pants for his phone and pulling it to his ear. "Hello?"

"What's going on? Sit-rep. Now."

"Hello to you, too, Commissioner," he muttered, opening the door a crack and peering out. The horde had, for the most part, calmed down on the other side of the door. "What's the perimeter looking like?"

"Secured as we can make it, though we had to pull in some of the locals. Now, you."

"I'm dealing with it."

"Agent D, I'm asking for a sit-rep. Now."

"And I'm trying to stay alive," he muttered, pulling his pants back on and working on getting his shirt back in place. "And dealing with a time limit, thank you very much."

"A time limit for what?"

"Some sort of bomb. The Baron's planted explosives."

"And you were going to mention this when?! Where?"

"I don't know. I'm finding that out."

"Agent D, I swear to god..."

"Just shut up and let me work."

"What the hell did you just -"

Click.

He put his phone back in his pocket as the intercom switched on. The Baron's voice came with it, chuckling as it always did.

" My, my, my. It seems that our dear agent has decided to take a little break. Getting bored just running, so you needed a little railing, too?"

"Fuck. You."

" It seems that you rather enjoyed getting fucked. Perhaps you don't find so much satisfaction in your job if you have to go looking for pleasure on the job, as well."

D shook his head, putting the mink's words out of his mind. This teasing was far from the first thing that he'd heard on the manner. Dealing with Polypus the way that he had was something of a feature to some of his work. Sometimes, there were those that needed to be fucked silly. Psions were weird; sometimes they needed a beating, sometimes they presented a puzzle, and still other times, they were just...horny. And the latter ones were the weirdest of them all, considering that you could overcome them that way.

He picked up his gun when he heard a loud buzzing, slowly looking back at the checkpoint door. His eyes went wider still as he saw the lock come loose.

"...Oh, fuck me..."

" Of course, it might be prudent to remind the feline that he does have a job to do. Perhaps he should get back to it."

"You asshole..."

" I believe the chase will begin in three...two..."

"You fucking asshole!"

" One."

The barred door slid open, and the zombie horde faced him again. There was a split-second standoff between the two of them before D started running, and the zombies chased after him. He fired over his shoulder, plinking one, two, three of them before having to reload, muttering under his breath all the while.

M was having a very bad day, and she put all of the blame on her partner. If they'd been together, then she would not be in the state that she was in. She'd be with him, they'd be dealing with this horde of enemies together, and they'd already be at the Baron.

And she wouldn't have to hear of his misadventures through the intercom, either. The lioness stood in the middle of a charred pile of bodies, shaking her head with a deep growl in her throat, stained with blood and with her fur standing out from the static of all the lightning that she'd been throwing around.

Getting fucked? D, I swear...when I get my hands on you...

She wondered, briefly, if it would be possible for her to channel her lighting into some sort of electric strap-on. The idea of railing his ass and showing him what he made her feel like, the way that he had left her behind to get fucked, was more appealing than she wanted to admit.

But no, no, that was probably not on the cards for the moment. She had to get through this labyrinth of halls, dealing with all the problems that D had left behind. She understood not killing every zombie that he came across, considering his limited ammo and all that, but she was all the more convinced that it was all down to some petty desire to keep her from joining the fight at this point.

Well, she'd show him.

M walked up to the checkpoint door, resting her hand on the lock. She started to fumble with the electric signals inside when she heard something stirring behind her. The lioness looked over her shoulder, spotting red eyes further down the hallway.

Lots of them.

Well, fucking shit... She turned from the door, holding her arms out to the sides as she drew lightning from the power mains. Come on then...

#

D was running low on ammo. He didn't have any left in his pockets, or at his belt, which meant that whatever he had left in his gun was all that he had to his name. The black cat took to hiding, sliding along the shadows, making sure that he kept all the zombies as unaware of him as possible. The Baron's continued taunts, thankfully, didn't penetrate the minds of the zombies that he saw. Thankfully, the mink didn't seem to have any direct control of them, or D likely would have had a far harder time dealing with them than he did.

That didn't mean that it was easy, or quick, however. He didn't know what his time limit was for the Baron's bomb, but he could almost feel like there was a clock ticking down in the background, reminding him of what would happen if he failed to get to the criminal in time. The flood of zombies that roamed the prison would be nothing compared to what would happen to the city, and he was pretty sure that the PIU would have a pretty hard time finding the authorization to utterly nuke an entire city, no matter the justification.

Would probably do a hell of a dent to everyone's paychecks, too.

The black humor didn't last for long. He had almost reached the Central Command Room when two issues reared their heads at the same time. The first was a familiar one. Five zombies had spotted him at the last turn, and had started following him. That had happened more than once already, and he knew that he could lose them easily enough as soon as he could put a door between him and them.

The second was a little more problematic. At the last turn before the Central Command Room, he found himself face to face with a door, but one that had been welded shut. He stared at it, his eyes wide as he realized that the door had been sealed some time before this whole thing had probably started. The wall felt...hot, he realized, even now, and there was that tell-tale ripple effect, that wrinkle that came from a Psion's efforts. D gritted his teeth as he slammed his fist against the metal wall.

"You bastard..."

" Ah, yes. I see that our intrepid agent had finally caught up with me. But can he get through the door in time? Not all Psions were so willing to be idle prisoners here. One of them was very willing to help me out. And now, he's in here with me, ensuring that the door is going to stay closed."

"Fuck..."

" I believe that our agent is, in a word, fucked."

The shambling, thudding sounds of the zombies following him filled his ears, and D pulled his revolver out, popping it open and looking inside. One bullet. Just one fucking bullet.

Even if I got them all lined up perfectly...

The black cat shook his head, clicking the weapon closed and holstering it. He needed that one bullet for the Baron. Anything less might not be enough. And he was a Nullifier; hopefully, that would be enough to keep the Psionic Virus at bay, so long as he didn't get too distracted. The virus had to be weaker than the Baron as a whole. If it had weakened as it was passed from person to person, going from the Baron's Class 7 to something like a Class 4, or even a Class 5, he could withstand it.

It was his only chance, really.

The zombies shuffled around the corner, glaring at him with eyes that varied between red and white. They slowly shuffled forward, almost as if in mockery of how limited his options were. A one-way hallway, a welded door, no vents or anything else to escape into: it was a total death trap.

D set himself in as defensive a pose as he could manage, and waited.

As soon as the first shambling zombie stepped into range, he darted out with a quick kick. The toe of his metal-tipped boot hit the small of the giraffe's throat, leaving the body stumbling back, but not dead. A wolverine grabbed him by the ankle, pulling him forward, and D turned it into a jump, swinging his leg around to kick his attacker in the back of the head.

Two down, but three still standing. They converged on him, grabbing at his shoulders, his back, his arms, his neck. He could feel the reality ripples coming off them, but as long as he kept his focus, he could keep that at bay. The virus was no more than a Class 4, now, just as he had hoped. Still dangerous, but something that he could keep from being transmitted to him.

But that still relied on dealing with the zombies' massive strength.

"Nnngh!"

D groaned as a wolf zombie threw him back down the corridor, feeling like he'd been hit with one of the super-strong members of the PIU. The blow had hit him like a freight truck, coming close to breaking a rib. Might have actually done; hard to tell when he was still on the ground and nursing the wound. He groaned under his breath, lifting his head to look at the five of them still coming his way.

Shit...

He dragged himself back to his feet, trying to figure out how he was going to beat these guys. The other zombies had only died when the brain had been blown to bits, and he doubted that he could do that without his gun. He didn't have the strength to just kick a fresh head off the shoulders. Maybe if they were the more traditional zombies, that would have been possible, what with the rot and all, but these guys were still more or less fresh.

Goddammit...

D waited until the wolverine came close and lashed out with a clawed punch, seeing how deep his fingers would sink. Deep enough, deep enough to cut through the arteries that ran up the neck. On a living person, that would have been a death blow, but the zombie wasn't going to die from that. They just kept pushing forward, leaving gunk and gore behind.

Shit...shit...

Another clumsy blow caught him on the side, sending him spinning to the ground and out of breath. He coughed, gasping for air as the zombies started falling on him, grabbing him from all sides, pinning him in place. One after another threw themselves at him, dog-piling him. Some grabbed him by the head, others by the limbs, pulling at him, trying to pull him apart.

If he couldn't be one of them, then he would die. They were programmed by the virus to seek out those that weren't infected, and -

The air changed. A different tingle, a different wrinkling of reality followed as his fur started to rise up.

Oh boy.

The sudden thunderstorm that followed was like Armageddon in miniature. He was surrounded by falling lightning bolts, his fur rising up and sparking with static charge, but every zombie fared far worse than him. They were zapped straight through the skull, their heads popped with the supercharged lightning bolts, and the air stank of burned flesh and fiery fur.

He pushed their bodies off, slowly getting to his feet and rubbing his ears to get rid of the thunderous ringing that remained. He looked down at the far end of the hall, and just as expected, saw his partner waiting.

She looked quite a bit worse for wear. Her outerwear was gone, leaving her in little more than her bra, panties, and high-heels. He imagined that the zombies had managed to seize most of that. Her fur was singed, blackened in some places and torn in others. There were numerous little marks on her, none that were deadly, or bruises, or signs that she had been touched directly by the zombies, but a lot that showed that she had been ducking, diving, and doing more physical stuff than usual.

"Bad day?" he asked.

"Don't. Even. Start."

Shrugging, he nodded at the welded door behind him.

"Think that you can get through that?"

"Is that where the shit-head is?"

"I would say yes."

"No problem."

D nodded, taking the opportunity to move behind the lioness. She was sparking and arcing electricity from every strand of fur on her body, and he wondered if the zombies had taken her clothes, or if she had just burned it all off from the sheer amount of electricity that she was channeling. Either one could be the answer at this point.

She gestured at the wall, and he could hear the sound of metal grinding and tearing. It was almost enough to make him plug his ears, and they did actually fold back along the back of his head. M growled deeper in her throat, pulling her hands back towards her chest, almost like she was physically ripping the door out of the wall. Four lines of electricity arced out from her, latching onto the metal, burning through it in places as it super-heated the barely-conductive material, and then -

CLANG!

The whole thing came loose, hitting the floor. The two agents hurried through, and they were finally faced with the Baron and his minion.

The Central Control Room wasn't actually that large, no more than twenty feet by twenty feet. Consoles that had miniature screens and large ones by turns oversaw the operations of the facility. Whoever had been working here must have been long gone, because the consoles were only manned by one lynx Psion and the Baron himself.

As they stepped in, the mink slowly turned on his oversized chair, plush and lush in a way that the control facility had no reason to be. He was still dressed in his prison jumpsuit, but somehow, the mink made it look a little more elegant than it should have been. Long, lean, the villain smiled with his head cocked to the side at them.

"Ah, yes. Good. I've been expecting you."

"Are you expecting to die?" D asked.

"Oh, it's always been a risk, but I don't feel too worried about it."

"You should."

"Hmm, and so should you."

The Baron nodded at the lynx, who gestured at the floor at D's feet. The ground suddenly began heating up, signs of a fire Psion -

BOOM!

The air split with the roar of thunder, and the heat faded before the black cat needed to use his Nullifying power. All eyes went to the lioness, who was growling with her fangs completely on display.

"This is your only warning. Stay out of this, or you're going to be burnt to a crisp," she said.

"You think that you can burn fire?" the lynx asked.

"I think it's time we find out."

Dusk knew what was coming, and knew better than to stay in the firing line. Before either of them could act, he leaped sideways, throwing himself between a line of consoles. The fireballs and lightning bolts started flying a split second later, and he shook his head as he crawled close to the ground, using the various machines as cover as he wiggled his way through the room, making his way towards the main console.

Take the Baron. Take out the Baron, and the rest of this is all taken care of.

Ring, ring.

Ring, ring.

BOOM!

A fireball nearly took his head off because of the ringing phone, and he cursed the Commissioner once more. Pulling the phone out only to silence it, he kept crawling through the rapidly-crumbling aisles of computer consoles. Melted metal and shattered glass rained on either side of him, reminding him of the consequences of losing his focus.

Nullifying only worked if you were aware of what was coming at you. You couldn't maintain a field of it at all times, that wasn't how it worked. If it did, the job would be a hell of a lot easier. As it stood, you had to see it coming, and you had to project it with a will. That was why you needed focus. If D stood up and focused on keeping the fireballs at bay, he would be fine, completely sheltered from the burning heat that the lynx threw his way, but he would be vulnerable to the lightning bolts, or to anything that the Baron himself invoked. If he focused on the Baron, then the fireballs would suddenly turn as deadly as one could imagine.

No, better to stay down and hope for the best as he wiggled his way through the room.

M was not happy. But that was okay. She had a target for her anger this time, one that actually reacted to what she did to him.

The lioness leaped over the latest fireball thrown her way, lightning arcing from her back and sticking her to the ceiling for a split second as she gathered a ball of electricity in her hand. The lynx threw a chair into the air just before she released it, and the lightning arced to it rather than him.

He was intelligent, she woudl give him that. Every time that she had a big attack ready, he had something to throw that acted as a lightning rod, pulling her attack away and down from him. She could have shocked the floor, but that would have gotten D at the same time, and much as she wanted to get some revenge, that would have been too much.

She dropped to avoid another fireball, keeping one eye on the lynx and the other on the Baron. The mink hadn't moved from his control chair, which bothered her. She narrowed her eyes at him -

Fwoosh.

Only for another fireball to surge from behind. One of the fires that had started from a fireball that missed had come to life again, and it seared her all along her back. She screamed as she fell to her knees.

"Nnnngh..."

It was enough to burn her bad. She could already feel that the fur had been completely burned off, and the fabric of her clothes had been seared right into her flesh. Huffing for breath and feeling the agony that came every time that she filled her lungs, she knew that she wouldn't be able to take another blast like that.

Another tingle in the air, and she felt the fire coming again. She rolled -

"AAAAAGH!"

And screamed at the top of her lungs as she felt metal shards, glass chunks, and worse rip through her burned back in the process. She stumbled, falling on her side. The fire soared over her, but she struggled to keep moving, barely able to catch her breath through the cutting, searing agony that was all she could focus on.

As M laid in the ruins of the consoles, among the glass and the shards of metal, the lynx loomed over her. He chuckled, shaking his head as he held a fireball in his hand.

"Well, that's one of you, at least," the feline Psion said. "Won't be any trouble getting rid of the other one after you're nothing but ash."

"You...need...to take this...seriously," she said through gritted teeth.

"Seriously? How much more serious can I get?"

"Serious enough...to pay more attention...to where you are."

"Where I am? I'm standing over a dying woman."

"And...between two thick columns...of metal..."

He blinked, slowly looking from side to side. M smiled; she hadn't expected him to be so stupid as to step between two lines of consoles with her, but if he wanted to offer himself up, she wasn't going to say no.

Hope you're out of the danger zone, D...

She slapped her hand against the console by her head and let loose. The lightning that arced between the consoles would have powered over a hundred electric chairs. It was overkill...but there was no kill like overkill.

The Baron was rather...displeased at the loss of his henchman. The explosion that had rocked the other side of the Central Command Room had been enough to take down the lynx, and by some measure. Every computer on that side of the room had shattered, all but exploded from the super-charged current running through it, and the fires that burned from their fight had left the room filled with smoke. Even he could barely breathe, and he had enough skill to keep the worst of it at bay, adjusting his own biology as much as he had done to his various subjects over the course of his life. It was easy enough to create a few small viruses that ran through his body and consumed the smoke and chemicals in the air before it could affect him.

But it was the end, he supposed. He had expected better of the famed 'Detective', particularly after their last battle in Romania. Ah, that had been something glorious, but he supposed that everyone changed. Perhaps D had been too soft in the days since then. Perhaps the PIU simply hadn't improved to keep with the times.

Ah, well.

Turning from the twisted pile of metal, glass, and flames, the mink looked down at his own security console. There were still cameras pointed outside of the penitentiary, all focused on the various men and women that had come to keep it all penned up. They were lined up in a circle on all the streets leading to the prison, and all the roads leading away. He smiled to himself, imagining what they would say when they saw the zombies coming to them.

All the bombs are set to go off soon. A mere five minutes, and the city will see my power...and then, the world...

The Baron had long since looked for ways to prove the power of death. The world had always been obsessed with avoiding it, controlling it, holding it at bay. Why not allow them to see what it meant to embrace it, to know its power as their body lived and their brain died, their actions ever-after nothing more than the spread of death throughout the world until pestilent life no longer could spring forth once more?

It would be a glorious day. All it would take is one prisoner, one infected being to reach the police lines. They would hesitate, they always did. But just one would spread, and there would be no containing it.

"This time, I win," the Baron said.

"You sure about that?"

Click.

Tap.

The feeling of cold steel against the back of his head was surprisingly familiar, and the Baron flashed back to that day, years ago, when he felt the same cold metal against the back of his skull. As he slowly turned, he saw the same face that he had seen all that time ago, and smiled.

"Agent D. What a lovely surprise..."

"Hardly." The black cat held the gun right between the Baron's eyes. "One chance. Turn it off, or I finish this job right here, right now."

The Baron only smiled.

The End
