A Colorful Month

Part 3

For Taiko

By Draconicon

Getting the police to believe the story that Sizemograph had been coerced into 'villainy' again took a while, and getting the big guy to work with him in actually confirming the story - he didn't want to rat out the Baron, and no surprise there, considering the boar's sheer power - was the main problem there. Sizemograph was more willing to go back to jail for a few months than spill the beans on some stranger that had forced him into it. The fact that it was unbelievable wasn't a problem (that happened in Novus Ager on the regular, the unbelievable) but more the fact that it was a risk of having the boar come back.

But, eventually, they were able to put across a story that there was someone better not disturbed out there that had ordered Sizemograph into this. The T-Rex was taken off for questioning, while Nor was allowed to leave and go about his business. He waved the T-Rex away, and then started running. After all, he had an appointment to get to.

Leaping from building to building across the city, he eventually made it to the train station that they'd agreed to meet at. Shore Guardian, as promised, was waiting just outside the building, leaning against it and reading something on his phone. As soon as Nor touched down from a nearby building, he looked up with a small chuckle.

"Hey, man. Something come up?" Shore Guardian asked.

"Kinda. Nothing serious, though."

"Hope not. Would hate to see you inconvenienced, dude."

Nor smiled despite himself. He'd noticed it last time, and he noticed it again now. There was just something that was...well, not carefree, but something like it about Shore Guardian. Something like a 'surfer dude' attitude that was almost contagious to those around him.

Didn't help that the orca was dressed like that, too. The big guy stood about as tall as him, maybe slightly taller, and his costume was open in the chest almost like a Hawaiian shirt might have been. It showed off powerful pecs, and was tighter than a wetsuit might have been, particularly in certain areas. Nor tried not to look at those; he had enough naughty villains running around the city that looking at his guest that way was just going to start messing with his head.

"Shall we?" he asked, gesturing towards the city.

"Heh, you're the guide. You tell me."

"Uh, right."

"Unless you want me to take charge?"

"...You know, let's go with the flow."

"And by flow, do you mean the train?" Shore Guardian asked, pointing over his shoulder.

"You know what? Yeah. Let's do that."

Besides, it'd be a better way to show off the city. Considering the raised trains tended to be connected to very odd stations, it was a good way to get from place to place and show the new guy how the city looked from a raised viewpoint. Better than trying to show him how to get from one place to another from the ground, for sure.

And if the city happened to change? Well, he could point that out, too. Shore Guardian was still new enough that he'd notice the change before those that lived in the city, and it would be nice to travel with someone that still noticed that.

They walked into the station, the orca's sandals slap-slapping in the background, his muscles all but rolling beneath that wetsuit of a costume. Nor did his best not to pay too much attention to that, but...

Well...

I swear, he looks familiar...

There was something about Shore Guardian that wasn't just relaxing, but something almost familiar about him. He felt like someone that he had seen before, like someone that he had gotten to know way back when. The mule didn't know what it was, but it was enough to make him almost giddy around him.

And again, it didn't help that the orca bought both their tickets, taking charge in an almost dad-like way. He went with it, not wanting to stir anything up at that point, but he still made a mental note about it.

As they got on the train, Nor noticed three things. The first was that they had gotten tickets for one of the nicer trains that ran through Novus Ager, namely one that was used for speed and luxury rather than just for the casual transportation. He had only used it once, so it was rather striking to board that while so casually dressed.

The second was that the tickets were for a private room in the middle of the train. Shore Guardian took them there and shut the door, getting comfortable and leaning against the windowsill, and Nor did his best to do the same.

The third was that Shore Guardian had pulled his costume down to his waist, showing off his upper body, and Nor's cheeks burned as he got a perfect view of a rather hot orca in front of him. He covered his cheeks, looking out the window, but it was impossible to completely cut the buff cetacean from his view.

"Heh, too much?" Shore Guardian asked.

"Not used to someone stripping down on duty."

"Eh, it's the costume. Doesn't breathe that well. I'm used to doing the super-stuff in the water, and naked, too."

The image of all those muscles combined with the idea of a big, fat cock swinging between the orca's legs, and he could just imagine the underwater wrestling that would go on with some of those sea-based shenanigans. His own cock started to stir at the idea, and he groaned.

"You're not like the other heroes, I have to admit."

"Kinda stuffy?"

"A little."

"Well, I guess I can see that. Tradition and all. But everyone needs some stress relief."

"I guess."

"No, seriously, kid. They do."

"I'm not a kid," he muttered.

"No, no, you're not. You're a man. Good-looking one, too, though I think you hear that a lot."

"...Mostly from the bad guys, admittedly."

"Well, they've got the right idea there." Shore Guardian smiled. "But look. Take it from someone that's been around for a while. If you don't do something to keep your stress down, you start doing some real stupid stuff. Why do you think I'm so relaxed?"

"...You know, I've been asking myself that question all day."

"Heh. How about we put the tour of the city on hold, and I take you somewhere to show off how I relax, huh?"

"Does that relaxing involve..."

He gestured at the orca's undressed state, trying to keep his professionalism, and really not sure how well he was succeeding. Shore Guardian chuckled.

"Kinda. You don't have to do anything, but it's a little thing of mine. Hey, maybe I can teach you something, too."

"Well..."

"Just saying. It's an option, friend."

Nor knew that the whole idea of being the guide to someone new was to show them the city and help them get used to working in Novus Ager. He was supposed to be the guide that kept them on the straight and narrow, too, considering the number of villains that were keen on turning new supers to the bad side, and how easy it would be for someone with stronger powers to be tempted to do something against the rules in the name of good.

At the same time, temptation beckoned, and it was beckoning stronger than usual. The mule chuckled, half-nervously, half-eagerly.

"You know what? Why not? Lead the way."

"Heh, you got it, Nor."

The luxury train took them to the downtown part of Novus Ager, though not one that Nor had been to before. The orca led the way down the street once they left the station, and it took the mule some time to realize that they were getting closer and closer to the more 'adult' part of town. He looked at some of the signs that were just starting to turn on, at the neon lights that ran through the shapes of naked men and women, and he groaned.

"We're not going to a strip club, are we?"

"Well, if we were, is that a bad thing?"

"I thought you were going to show me how to relax?"

"Heh, I am. Nor, you gotta relax. You're wound too tight."

"I'm on duty."

"Yeah, yeah, I know."

"Then let's get out of here."

"Hey, you're on-duty looking after me, right? Let me get my thirty minutes in, and then we can go back to touring the city. Promise."

"..."

"Just thirty minutes. It'll be fine. And I'll make sure that it's special for you."

"That's not as reassuring as you think."

"It's better than the alternative though, right?"

"..."

Why do you have to be so confident?

There was something about the orca being so very sure of himself in that moment that made it hard to actually turn him down. There was a confidence there, a cockiness that was just short of being annoying. He stood with one hand on his hips, the other on the door to the closest club, and he had a smile on his face that was half reassuring-dad, half-mischievous friend. The mule groaned, rubbing his forehead.

"Fine, fine. Just thirty minutes, though."

Shore Guardian's smile broadened, and he turned to step inside. Nor followed that muscular, well-rounded ass, and he found himself wondering why he felt the urge to stare at it so much. He shook his head; Shore Guardian had been very forthcoming with his powers, and he had made it quite clear that he only had super-strength and endurance. To greater degrees than Nor did, admittedly, but just that. There was nothing there that could mess with his head.

It was a strip club, alright, but it was a fairly classy one. The catwalks led down to well-polished poles, the floors were clean, and while there were cages for other strippers that could be lowered from the ceiling, they were padded and soft-looking rather than the harsh BDSM cages that he had seen before. He was surprised there was no smoke smell, either; usually these gentlemen's clubs tended to reek of that, or of other drugs.

No sooner had they stepped inside than Shore Guardian shucked off his costume the rest of the way. Nor barely caught it as it was thrown to him, and the orca dragged himself up to the nearest stripper pole. The mule's eyes went wide as he had a great deal of ass to look at, not to mention a little bit of back-sac to see as well, before Shore Guardian wrapped his leg around one of the poles.

"You might want to take a seat," the orca said. "Thirty minutes is a while to just stand."

"...You...you..."

"Yeah?"

"Did you, um...Did you ever star in a...porno?"

Nor couldn't believe he was asking that. It was impossible, completely impossible, but now that he saw the orca in the buff, he couldn't help but compare him to this one model that he had seen growing up. Not that he'd been renting porn movies left and right or anything, but there was the fact that they were available, and as the internet got more and more of them, so did the people that used it.

And there had always been this one orca, this one guy that took it and gave it. He'd been a big-balled, big-shouldered, very caring sort of guy, always making you feel like you were there with him. He had this...presence, and while there was a little more age to Shore Guardian than the orca had had, there was this...gravitas that matched completely.

The orca chuckled.

"Yeah, a few."

"...Oh, god."

"You were a fan, I'm guessing?"

"I...might still be."

"Hey, that's great. You wanna join me?"

"What, here?"

"I'm friends with the owner. He'll understand."

"But...but..."

"Do you see anyone else in the audience right now, Nor?"

That was true, he realized. There was nobody else in the club besides the two of them. They could just dance a bit, showing off, and it wouldn't actually be a problem. He looked back at the door, realized that there would be nobody coming into a strip club for at least another three hours. He looked back at Shore Guardian, saw the orca offering him a hand.

"Come on. Live a little with me."

"...No teasing?"

"None. Besides, you need to relax a bit. Show off with me."

"...Just this once."

Nor stripped off the jock from earlier, as well as the rest of his costume that he'd picked up on the way to meeting the orca. He was soon naked, his cock dropping and then stiffening, and he blushed as he let himself be pulled up on the catwalk. Before he could go to another pole, Shore Guardian pulled him close. Their cocks brushed against each other, and Nor gasped as they were chest to chest with the cool metal between their pecs.

"Now, move like me..."

"That's gonna be a bit hard."

"Don't worry. Hand on my hip."

Nor nodded, putting his left hand on the orca's hip, and felt the older man do the same to him. Their other hands gripped the pole, reaching high, his hand just a little below the orca's thicker digits.

"Now, around..."

They started turning, and he shivered at the feeling of cool metal against his chest and cock, but more than that, of the smooth flesh of the big, almost 'daddy' orca against him. They were both muscular, and he could feel the tension of muscle against his body, and he felt almost like he had way back when, back when he watched those videos and imagined what it might be like to experience that.

Why do I feel like...like...

It was almost like all the experience that he'd had with all the villains of the city had melted away, almost like he was back to being a virgin again around Shore Guardian. He didn't know what it was, why he felt like this, but it was...intense, to put it mildly. Intense, and great.

He panted as he started to roll his hips, following the guidance of the bigger guy. They rolled their cocks together, ground against the pole, came close to kissing more than once. It was a very intimate sort of double-pole dance, and it was working out his muscles to keep up with the orca, too. They were sliding, grinding, bumping, pressing together with great pressure.

Their hands had shifted position, too. Not just at the hip, but rubbing against each other's asses. Nor gasped as they both ended up touching each other's holes at the same time, but just as he was half-bracing himself against being penetrated and wondering whether he should pull back, Shore Guardian stopped. The orca panted softly, stepping back, his black and white skin covered in a sheen of sweat.

"And that's our half hour."

"...What?"

"Heh, time goes quick, doesn't it?"

"No way. There's no way that that - holy crap..."

And so it was. They had spent the last half-hour pole-dancing with each other, moving so slowly and intimately, and yet at the same time, he had worked up a hell of a sweat. He had barely realized that the time had passed, nor had he realized just how hard he had gotten through the whole thing. He blushed as he felt how stiff his cock was, how much it throbbed between his legs, and how much he wanted to get back to the dancing.

It didn't help that he knew that Choin would understand. They had a very open relationship, and he knew that the panda had his own side pleasures. They just always came back to each other, rather than going out and about. This didn't feel like that; he wasn't 'in love' here. But he was...infatuated, in a way that he had never entirely been with someone else.

Shore Guardian hopped down, and for the first time in some time, Nor felt a bit of cock-thought, wondering what it would be like to ram his cock past those white and black cheeks, to feel that pucker squeezing around his shaft. He slapped himself, shaking his head.

"Wow..."

"Heh, you dance well. You have much experience?"

"Only when controlled by someone else."

"Maybe that's how you like it."

"That's probably just projection."

"You mean wishful thinking?"

"Yeah...yeah, that's probably more accurate."

"Though, wishful on whose part?"

Nor didn't want to answer that. Shaking his head, he pulled his jock back on, then pulled the rest of his outfit over it. The shoulder-to-thigh bodysuit was modeled after his own patterns, and it made it a little less obvious that he wasn't actually as costumed as most people thought. He cracked his neck from side to side, shaking his head.

The orca must have picked up on how he was feeling, because Shore Guardian didn't tease any further. Instead, he just patted the mule on the arm.

"Sorry if I went overboard."

"No, no, it's...it's fine."

"Nah. But it will be."

"..."

"You're a hot guy, Nor. That means you're going to be getting attention from everyone. I expect that. Pretty sure you do, too."

"I'm not that hot."

"Yeah, look in the mirror sometime and tell yourself that."

"...Are you trying to be a therapist or a hero?" Nor asked, chuckling slightly awkwardly.

"Maybe both?"

"Heh..."

"Tell you what. How about you head home, and I'll wait 'til tomorrow for my real tour, huh?"

"...You sure you're okay with that?"

"I think it's better for both of us that way."

"Okay. Thanks."

"No problem, kid."

"I'm not..."

He was going to say that he wasn't a kid, but compared to Shore Guardian, he kind of felt like one. Not in a weak way, but almost like that sort of guy that needed the care and guidance that the orca had to give. He rubbed the back of his head, turning away.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"Sure. Take care. And remember."

"Hmm?"

"You're awesome."

Just like last time, he started smiling again, though there was something in addition to the warm feeling in his heart as he walked away this time. He didn't know what it was, but he knew that it was going to be something he would have to figure out. It was one thing to be pushed by the villains of the city, zonked into sexy times, but...but this almost felt like some kind of seduction, and he didn't know how to handle that.

#

He went back to Choin that night. Normally, he would have gone back to his own apartment after a day on the job, but he felt like he needed to be with the panda and re-establish a few things. The mule opened the door to the apartment to find his boyfriend on the couch, writing things down and making phone calls. He waited quietly while the bear worked through whatever he was doing.

"So tomorrow, four o'clock? Yeah, that's doable. And on the pier? Yeah...yeah, that'll work. Okay, thanks, bye."

Click. The phone got tossed across the couch, and the panda shook his head.

"Suspicious little dick..."

"Another business meeting?"

"Something like that. Though this guy kinda feels like he wants to put me in the drink afterward."

"Just be careful about that, okay? We're not hurting for money right now."

"I know, I know."

He knew that Choin would push, anyway. The occasional goofball liked to make sure that they were both as comfortable as possible, and he knew that meant that he would keep putting himself in risky situations.

Of course, as Nor, he wasn't able to do much to help him. Choin seemed to conduct all his business off of the patrol paths that Nor had, so there was seldom a chance for the two of them to cross paths while the panda was doing his business. He heard about it later, sometimes picked Choin up from the doctor bruised and a bit better, but always with the panda wearing some shit-eating grin from having gotten what he wanted.

He didn't know what he would do if Choin ever took it too far, but he hoped that never happened. He loved the goofball.

Sitting down beside his boyfriend, he looked at the TV. It was a documentary on gold jewelry, of all things, and he cocked his head to the side.

"This is new."

"Ah, well, sometimes a little history is good for you."

"I didn't know you were interested in history."

"I'm interested in a lot of things. Why do you think we keep downloading those kink files?" Choin teased.

"Oh, don't start that..."

"Come on. You know you love it."

And just like that, he was blushing again, rubbing the back of his head. Choin leaned in, nuzzling his neck, and soon they were cuddling. They changed the channel, shifting over to some of the comedy shows for the night. That was always Choin's first choice of stuff that they could watch together, with Nor getting a drama after that - one of the more gentle ones that was almost a soap rather than the serious cop-show dramas - and then they'd just have it as background noise as they went about their night.

That was how it always went, and this was no exception. He smiled as the jokes came rolling from the boob tube, and he leaned his head back, enjoying the feeling of being able to lean on his panda's chest. Choin stroked his cheek gently, and he just let himself savor the feeling of being together.

This is good. This is right.

And so it was.

Nor did not sleep so easily as Choin did that night. The panda dropped off quickly after some quick intimacy together - just some mutual touching and a bit of oral, neither of them having that much energy to go for more - but the mule stayed up, staring at the ceiling of their shared bedroom.

It wasn't his feelings on Shore Guardian that kept him up, though he was sure that he was going to have to deal with that at some point. Instead, it was the thought of what the Baron had done to him and around him. The boar had come out of nowhere, and while it had ended better than he expected, he still didn't know what the boar had actually wanted from him.

He said it was because LiL was throwing a fit about me...but why would that make him want to come here?

Curiosity only worked as an excuse up to a point. After that, it was just another bunch of nonsense. So why would someone with that much power come to Novus Ager and then focus on him, specifically? Hell, why would they start recruiting villains and former villains to come around and start making trouble for him? Why would they want to watch the show, and why would they step in when something was getting out of hand?

Nothing about this makes sense...

Despite that, he knew that he wasn't going to get any rest until he found some kind of resolution to the issue. He rolled his head back against his pillow, shaking his head a few times.

The more he thought about it, the more that he regretted getting tangled up with the Man in Red in his plans and the multi-world stuff that had come out of it. He knew that it had already existed before the whole plot came out, but the fact that he was stuck with that knowledge now didn't make him any happier. It meant that he was aware of bigger things than just his world, just his Novus Ager, and that meant that he was forced to deal with that.

The fact that he'd been introduced to a class of criminals that made everyone in the city look like small-fries didn't make him feel better. He knew that they were not necessarily interested in his city, but now that he had interfered with LiL, or...well, as they called him over there, the Lord in Lavender, they apparently had set their sights on him. As a protector of the city, he was happy to fight for the safety of the people living in the city with him, but fighting against those that could just end the fight without even trying didn't make him feel particularly confident.

What do they actually want?

He sighed, rolling over to face away from Choin. He closed his eyes, hoping for sleep to come.

Instead, something fell on him. It was light, gentle, almost like a blanket, but it tickled his cheek more than it should have. He groaned, opening his eyes.

It was a moth, of all things. And that wouldn't have been that bad, except that the moth was as large as his face. He went completely still, staring at it. It fluttered its wings, faceted eyes staring down at him, and then it fluttered to a nearby wall. He kept staring at it, and realized that the wings themselves had a pattern on them. One that formed an arrow, and it pointed at the window outside.

...This is nuts. You don't want to look now...you really don't want to look...

Except...he had to. That was part of being a hero. You did what you had to do, for the sake of others.

Sliding out of bed and grabbing a pair of pants, Nor forced himself to his civilian form. Brown fur, slightly shorter, and all that. He walked to the window and looked down, and there was only one thing worth seeing.

She was a mare, dressed in a shimmering black merger of a vest-style blouse and a working skirt. She was surrounded by more of the white moths that looked exactly like the one on his wall, her fur as black as her clothes save for two white spots around her eyes. And she looked right up at him, despite the fact that he was standing in darkness and she was standing under a streetlight.

She gestured at him, curling a finger. Nor bit his lip, looking down at Choin, and then back across the street. The woman did it again.

Oh boy...

There was little choice in the matter. Whoever this was, she knew that he was there, and if the moth was part of her powers, then she already knew that he had seen her. That meant that delaying would probably mean a more personal visit. The only question was whether she had already figured out that Nor and Denith were the same person, and -

Fuck.

He shook his head, getting dressed the rest of the way. He looked out again, and she made the curling finger gesture a third time. He opened the window slightly, holding up a finger as if to say 'one minute', and then hurried out of the bedroom. Choin didn't wake up. Not surprising, considering that he was such a deep sleeper, but it didn't make him feel better hustling out in the dead of night.

Running down through the apartment building as fast as his hooves could carry him, he soon reached street level. The mare was right across from him, now. Her head was cocked to the side, and her face was unreadable.

"Hello?" he called.

"..."

"What are you doing here? Why were you staring at me?"

"..."

"Who are you?"

She shook her head, and this time, her summoning gesture was more than just a finger curling. She used her whole hand. The moths fluttered into the air -

And then she was there, or - no, he was where she was. He had moved without moving, almost like the buildings in Novus Ager did when they were shifted around. He stumbled, and she caught him with a grip almost too strong to be believed.

"What - how -"

"Nor." This close, he could see her smile. It was gentle, but no less scary for that. "Perhaps it would be better for us to talk off the streets."

"You're - you're one of them, aren't you? Part of the Council?"

"Yes. I am."

Well, there was no doubting her color. The mouse was the Man in Red, the boar had been the Baron in Purple, LiL was the Lord in Lavender. She was wrapped all in black, so that obviously played into things, but he knew nothing else.

"Who are you?"

"The Basilissa in Black. But as others call the Baron 'Battery' and the Man in Red 'Loophole,' I have another name."

"And...what is it?"

"Murder, my dear."

"..."

Nor's eyes almost fell out of their sockets as they went wider than ever. He thought that the Man in Red was supposed to be filtering out the worst of the Council coming to visit him, and yet, here was Murder, of all people. Murder! And the Basilissa? He vaguely recalled that as being the title of a woman that had ruled the old Byzantine Empire, but that was all that he knew. She must have held considerable power among the criminals for a title like that.

But that was all that he was able to process before her moths wrapped around them again, and they disappeared.

The End
