After Pain

Dan and Wes have been sleeping together for a while, but after a particularly rough session, things start to go off-script.

First time posting something without just deleting it! Hope you enjoy this, and while it's definitely mature, sorry about the lack of explicit sex. Wasn't really feeling like writing smut right now. Anyway, hope you enjoy this oneshot! Took about two days to write, and was really just a practice in unrusting my gears.

Dan let out an exhausted yet satisfied moan as he rode off the last of his high, before lazily flopping over onto his back. The weasel looked over at the taller coyote he'd just emptied a week's worth of pent-up frustration into, who just continued to stare up at the ceiling.

Dan furrowed his brow, but quickly decided to just leave it -- Wes was always like this every time they decided to screw. He'd be vocal and demanding in bed, aggressively commanding Dan to fuck him harder, slap his ass more, pound him into the mattress; the works. As soon as it was over, though, he'd stare straight ahead as if contemplating what just happened before sparing Dan a few cursory words, getting dressed, and leaving his apartment.

This routine had been continuing on for around two months or so -- they'd met in a bar, gotten completely wasted, and Wes blew Dan in the bathroom before they drunkenly stumbled out into the street. Dan had lead the coyote to his apartment, only a few blocks away, clumsily trying to keep his grip on the other's hand as they trudged up the steps before the weasel practically tackled the other through his doorway and onto his bed.

Dan could barely remember what the sex had been like beyond the fact that it was damn good, but as great a fuck Wes was, it wasn't the main motivation behind his return to the same bar that same night in search of the same coyote who'd disappeared from his bed the next morning, leaving behind only rapidly fading warmth and a distinct scent.

Sex was good -- great, even. Dan liked sex. He'd been deep in the closet until his last year of high school, when he hooked up with a friend he hadn't even thought about in the last four years of college. But it wasn't like there was a shortage of guys he could potentially spend the night with. Hell, if he was really that horny, he always had hookup apps.

What Dan wanted was to recapture the warmth he'd felt deep in his chest as he laughed his ass off at Wes's shitty jokes, as he'd tried to keep his grip on the other's larger hand, and how he wrapped his arms around the coyote's waist and fallen into the best sleep he'd had in months.

He'd met Wes again, and they'd had sex again. Wes didn't stay the night this time, or any other time since then. Dan never asked, as much as he wanted to. He wasn't sure about how to approach the subject, and didn't want to come off as desperately lonely.

Though that's exactly what he was.

The weasel shook away his thoughts, instead bringing his attention back to Wes, who was wiping his own load off his matted chest. As Dan took in the sight of the other's slightly chubby body, he resisted the temptation to reach and touch him.

Real work of art, huh?

Out of the corner of his eye, though, Dan noticed a small bead of red on Wes's shoulder.

"Shit, Wes, are you bleeding?" He asked, concern apparent in his voice.

Wes was shaken from his daze as he looked up at the worried Dan, who'd crawled closer to him. Realising that there was the distinct sting of broken flesh in his shoulder, he lazily shrugged.

"Yeah, I guess. You got one mean bite on you, Danny."

Dan's mind reeled back to earlier, when Wes had demanded the weasel "fucking bite him like he meant it". Dan had come to learn very quickly that Wes liked pain, and he liked pain a lot. Their sex had gotten rougher and rougher each time they met up, but this was the first time anyone had drawn blood.

"Shit, fuck, hold on, I got a first-aid kit somewhere." Dan sprung out of bed and began digging through his bedside drawers as Wes regarded him curiously.

"Danny, it's just a bite mark. You don't have rabies or anything. Take it easy."

"I fucking made you bleed, Wes."

"I told you to. Well, not directly, but..." Wes trailed off as Dan produced a small white box, before flicking it open and pulling out the tools he'd need to treat Wes's minuscule wound.

"Danny. It's not that serious. I don't even need a freakin' bandage."

"I'll be the judge of that." For once, Dan was being firm on his stance. He knew Wes was probably right, but better safe than sorry as far as he was concerned.

And maybe he was just a little bit selfish, and wanted any excuse he could get to keep Wes around a little longer.

Wes sighed, a little frustrated, as he watched Dan dab some disinfectant onto a cotton ball. "God, do you have to go that far? That crap stings."

"Thought you liked getting hurt, Mister "Fucking raw me", or was I imagining things?"

"This isn't as hot." Wes retorted, and winced as Dan dabbed the cotton over his shoulder. The bite was deeper than he thought, but as far as he was concerned it wasn't any worse than a passionate hickey.

"Fuck...Fuck..." Dan muttered under his breath.

"Danny. It's fine. We aren't on the field."

"How did you--"

"You got that one photo in your kitchen. Track meeting one. Easy to tell which one was you."

"Ah." Dan said, before wrapping a bandage around Wes's shoulder, causing the coyote to raise his voice as his tail thumped against the bed in another display of frustration.

"Fucking Christ, Danny, people are gonna think I got mauled, not bit! Why are you freaking out over this?"

"I made you bleed."

"You're not the first guy to do that, and you won't be the last."

"You've been fucking other guys?" Dan regretted the words the moment they forced themselves out his mouth, tainted with a slight croak in his voice.

"It's not like we're dating? What, you think just because we screw around we're married now?"

"No. You can do what you want." Dan says, curtly, as he starts putting the medical supplies back in the kit.

"Then why do you care?" Wes said, raising his nose

"Are they rough with you, too?" Dan asked, causing Wes to look away.

"Yeah. More than you.'

"Why?"

"Because I like it -- Jesus, Danny, what does it matter?"

"It doesn't." Dan said, but Wes grabbed him as he tried to turn away.

"It clearly does."

"You can do what you want. It's not like we're married." Dan argued, a hint of bitterness in his voice.

"What, do you wanna be?" Wes spoke before thinking, and his words were followed with awkward silence that made both of them avert their gazes from the other.

After what felt like an eternity shoved into a minute, Dan spoke up.

"Why do you always leave when we're done?"

"...Because we're done. Don't wanna overstay my welcome." Wes said, hesitating slightly.

"Oh." Dan didn't have anything else to say, and they returned to awkward silence.

After about another minute, Wes muttered a "whatever" and began to pull up his boxers.

"Wait," Dan said, a little too loudly. "You...don't have to go."

"Maybe I should."

"You don't have to."

"Why?"

Dan let out a short growl. "What, you want me to say it? Fine. I don't want you to go, Wes."

"I'm not gonna die from a bite, Danny. You don't need to play nurse with me all night."

"It's not about that."

"You're still horny?"

"No, dumbass!" Dan's left fist smacked down on the mattress in frustration. "I want you to just...stay. We don't have to do anything!"

"It's impossible to do nothing. We're always doing something." Wes spoke, quicker than usual.

"Okay, smart aleck."

"...Sorry." Wes was at a loss -- he was expecting to get a load or two pumped into him, get dressed, and go back to his own shithole of an apartment. That's how it always went with Dan. And every other guy he'd met up with, for that matter. Some of them had asked him to stay, but he'd always said no.

He wasn't quite sure why.

"Nah. My bad." Dan said.

Eager to avoid more awkward silence, Wes figured if they were going to be quiet, they could at least be comfortable. He let his back fall onto the bed, before turning on his side and staring at the Alien poster on Dan's wall.

"Uh..."

"Do you need a command or something? You want me to stay, right? I'm staying."

Dan's tail began to gently wag on instinct without him realising it, but Wes could hear the gentle thumping as it hit the bed over and over.

Cute.

"Can...Can I, uh..."

"...Yeah." Wes didn't need to hear the full question as he felt Dan pull the blanket up over the both of them, before the weasel's arms gently wrapped themselves around his abdomen. Though Wes was taller than Dan by about four inches, standing at 6'2'', the weasel had no problem nuzzling his face into the crook of the coyote's neck.

They lay there, quiet, for what they both silently wished would feel like an eternity this time. Wes felt one of Dan's hands leave him and bit back a complaint as the weasel clumsily felt around for the light switch. He hesitated before hitting it, and then hesitated before hitting it again.

"Huh?" Wes traced an eye over to Dan. "You forget something?"

"No. Sorry. It's nothing."

"It's something."

"I'm not gonna say it."

"You are."

"Am not."

"Okay," Wes began to shuffle, pushing his upper body up. "Guess I'll g--"

"W-wait!" Dan stammered, and pulled Wes back with far more force than either of them were expecting, and the coyote crashed into his chest.

Wes didn't move, and instead looked up at Dan's face with his inquisitive amber eyes.

"...I wanted to look at you a little longer." Dan finally said, averting his gaze again.

What the fuck. Cute.

"...Huh." Wes was at a loss for words, but instead of moving away, instead kicked his legs up and moved his body up Dan's so his forehead was under his chin.

"Look all you want then, I guess?"

"I can't do that now. It's weird."

"Everything is weird when you think about it."

"Shut up."

"Make me."

"You're gonna wear my dick out."

"Use something else then."

"Like what?"

"Your mouth."

"Huh?"

"Kiss me." Wes said. Dan laughed nervously, before looking back at Wes's serious gaze and shutting his trap.

"Okay." He said, before leaning his head down awkward and meeting Wes's lips.

Neither of them were willing to break away just yet, but Wes eventually ran out of air and had to pull away.

"...That was...good." He finally said.

"Yeah. Really, uh...good."

"Real way with words there, English major."

"Okay, dropou--" Dan stopped himself before looking away. "Fuck. Sorry."

"You're not wrong." Wes said. The comment stung a little bit, but he figured it was just Dan getting a little aggressive because of his teasing. They weren't in the middle of banging, so he couldn't filter it out through biting down on one of his nipples or speeding up his thrusts.

"Still not cool of me."

"Yeah, you're pretty warm."

"You are too."

"You're warmer."

"Can we kiss again?"

"Yeah." Wes said, and that was all Dan needed before diving back in.

"Hey, watch it!" Wes winced as the weasel's face brushed against his bandage, causing the other to let out a slight chuckle.

"Thought it wasn't a big deal." He said, though concern quickly took over his face. "You're sure it's fine, right? You don't need to get it looked at or --"

"Danny, I've had my nose broken before. I keep telling you, it's fine." Wes says, before realizing that was probably the wrong mood. Instead of jumping into a series of concerned statements, Dan simply tightens his grip around Wes's waist and pulls the two of them a little closer.

"...Not in a fight, I take it." He speaks after a few minutes of the two of them lying in near silence, listening to each other's gentle breathing and the slow traffic outside. Absentmindedly, Dan began to trace his fingers up Wes's stomach to his chest where he began to gently run them through the Coyote's chest fur, drawing out a comfortable grunt.

"Remember back when we met, and my eye was kinda swollen looking?"

Dan thought back. The particular memories of that night were still somewhat hazy in his mind, but he thought he remembered seeing some slight bruising under the fur, and how Wes had winced when they kissed and he brushed his face against the area. Back then, he'd almost questioned it, but Wes cut him off and pushed him into his bed, and everything else melted away.

Wes didn't wait for him to answer. "Guy was forceful. I taunted him. Punched me."

"Wes --"

"I liked it, Danny." Wes says, rolling his eyes. "Bruises heal. It felt good in the moment."

Dan wanted to say something, but instead decided to just try and pull Wes even closer to him and squeeze him as gently as he could. The canine let out a soft sigh before shutting his eyes. Though he was trying to act cool, Wes was at a complete loss. The last time he'd even gotten close to cuddling felt like a lifetime away.

"Do you want me to punch you?" Dan finally asks, leading to a "tch" from Wes.

"No, Danny. Well, I dunno. But you'd clearly feel bad about it if you freaked out this bad over a bite."

"But if it makes you feel, like...Good..."

"You're already a good fuck, Danny." Wes says, trying to divert the topic. "You don't need to worry about getting any better just to win points from me." Though he wouldn't admit it, Wes was quickly coming to a realisation as to the situation he was in.

Dan was hugging him, playing with his chest fur, and nuzzled into the crook of his neck while asking if he could punch him. To make him feel good.

Wes swore under his breath, as Dan spoke up again.

"Yeah, but I wanna...I dunno. You make me feel good."

"Feeling's mutual." Wes said, in an attempt to be dismissive, as the weasel sighed.

Once again, they lay there in awkward silence only broken by their breathing, and the two of them were quickly growing tired of these constant pauses. Dan wanted to enjoy the moment, but he was worried about falling asleep and waking up to find his arms wrapped around empty air again, while Wes wanted to know where the hell things were supposed to be going.

"Wes, uh...Nevermind." Dan spoke up again, but cut himself off. He figured Wes would probably be gone come morning, so he should just enjoy the intimacy while he could.

"Danny." Wes rolled his eyes again. While it was true he wasn't sure how to act in this situation, a strong part of him wanted Danny to keep asking him things. Keep talking to him, keep asking if this or that was okay.

It was cute, and Wes was starting to remember what it was like to have someone care about you beyond how tight your hole was and whether they could go in bareback or not.

"Spit it out."

"...Why do you like getting hurt?" Dan finally asks, causing Wes to let out a short bark of a laugh.

"Didn't realise you were changing majors to a Psych Degree." He said, trying to lighten the mood, but when Dan didn't even let out the slightest chuckle or comment, he continued. "I dunno. Just feels good."

"I mean, what part of it feels good?" Dan responds, taking the opportunity to move one of his legs and cross it over Wes's. Wes makes no attempt to move away as he continues speaking.

"I guess...I like the way it feels like I'm theirs or something. Like, they can do what they want with me, and all I have to worry about is getting them off." Wes begins to speak without thinking, cursing himself in his head. Shut up, you idiot. Still, like a dam bursting open, words continue to flood out of his mouth.

"And I dunno. I like seeing the marks too, sometimes. You know the whole "pain is proof you're alive" deal or whatever they have in movies?"

"No." Dan's answer is curt.

"Ah. Well, it's like...the fact you bleed is proof you're alive. The fact you're in pain is proof you're, uh...feeling."

"You can live and feel without getting hurt, though." Dan speaks, his voice lower.

"Yeah, well...I dunno. You're asking me to explain something I don't get beyond it feels good. I'm not here for therapy. I'm here to get fucked. Or, well, I was." Wes says, and the words dig into Dan's chest.

"Is...that all?" He asks, but the weasel is pretty sure he already knows the answer. "If I'm holing you up, you can go, y'know." A hint of bitterness is plain in his voice.

"Do you want me to?" Wes asks.

"What do you think?" Is the response he gets, following by Dan's hand moving up from his chest to under the coyote's chin, and gently beginning to scratch it.

"Alright, okay. I get it." Another sigh from Wes as he resigns himself to his fate. His mind goes back to the first time he'd met the weasel in that bar with the shitty but cheap booze. He'd wanted to clear his head with a walk, failed, and figured he may as well numb the thoughts if he couldn't get rid of them.

He'd shown weakness was how he viewed it, letting Dan lead him to his place and then staying the night in the weasel's arms. He'd woken up first, and made a quick exit. Years of practice of slinking out made it an easy job, and he figured that was that.

Later that night, he'd gone back to the same bar. He pretended that it wasn't because he was holding onto the hope of seeing a familiar weasel again, but when he saw a familiar silhouette walk through the doors, he knew he wasn't kidding anyone. Dan walked over, awkwardly looked at him in an attempt to start a conversation before Wes raised his hand and ordered him a drink.

An hour or two later, they were screwing in Dan's bed again, and when they were done, Wes made a quick exit. Dan was left behind, and though it stung, Wes figured it was for the best. The sappy, romantic shit wasn't suited for someone like him.

As Dan began to nuzzle into his neck again, though, he figured that he could get used to this, actually. Not that he deserved it.

"Hey. Wes."

"Yeah?" Once again, Dan had spoken up. Though he wouldn't say it, Wes was thankful for him constantly breaking the silence -- as much as he wanted to enjoy it, Wes's mind would wander to all sorts of places in an attempt to process the situation to the point he just wanted to scream for his stupid fucking head to shut up.

"You're not gonna be gone in the morning, right?" Wes gulped at that.

"I mean..." He trails off. He could say he had plans, but that was a lie. He'd dropped out of college, and he didn't have any work at the autoshop he'd gotten a job at.

"Please?" That one word from Dan, and Wes realised his fate had been sealed.

"...Sure. For a kiss." Dan didn't need any convincing, and immediately twisted his body downwards, freeing Wes from his grasp. The coyote was confused for a split second as the weasel disappeared below the covers, until he felt a soft but gentle kiss on his left thigh, followed by another.

Dan trailed kisses up Wes's thigh, over his stomach and just under his neck, before stopping. He looked back up at him and smirked as Wes looked away.

"You're blushing, huh?" Dan said, but that was just a guess. His eyes followed Wes's, and right now, they were all he was focused on.

Wes responded by smacking the lightswitch hard enough to probably wake up the neighbouring room's occupant and flung himself at Dan in the dark, almost knocking the wind out of the weasel. Not missing a beat, he began to furiously kiss Dan, his tongue pushing into the other's muzzle.

Dan grabbed at the coyote's sides and pulled him closer, pressing their muzzles together as they made out. Wes found his hands exploring Dan as he was too preoccupied with clinging onto his waist. The two of them felt like teenagers again, discovering intimacy with another person for the first time.

Eventually, Wes pulled away, straddling Dan as he looked down at him. Even in the dark, he could make out the features of the weasel's slightly rounded face, the glimmering of his left earring as the light from the city outside reflected off the silver, and the awkward, toothy grin he wore. Wes panted, out of breath, before planting his hands on Dan's chest.

"You're..." He breathed. "...Hot."

"So are you." Dan responded, at a loss for words.

"And cute. So fucking cute."

"...So are you." Dan repeats again.

Wes's eyes burn as he locks his gaze with Dan's.

"So...First time you've done that." Dan says. Usually, Wes was far more passive. Apart from when he'd push Dan into bed and start grinding his still boxer-clad ass against him when he was particularly pent up, but that was always to lead into Dan taking control.

"To you, yeah." Wes said, his panting lighter but still noticeable. Wes usually let Dan do the work, always pushing him to fuck him harder as if he was taunting the weasel. Now, having stirred both his own and Dan's boners, he began to reach down and clasp the bottom of Dan's shaft.

"Wes." Dan said gently, after a short gasp. "No."

"No?" Wes asked, tilting his head.

"My dick hurts." Dan says, which wasn't a complete lie. Wes had gotten him to go for a round two already as it was, but really, he just wanted to kiss the coyote. Touch him. Feel him. Just be with him. The previous conversation had admittedly soured the prospect of more sex tonight for Dan.

Right now, he just wanted to show Wes that there was more to what Dan thought of him than just a hot piece of ass. (Though Wes was, in fact, a very hot piece of ass.)

Wes waits for Dan to say something, and his eyes slowly scan the room as he does. His and Dan's clothes lie strewn about, the coyote taking the moment to remember the fact that he didn't even bother to check what he was wearing as he'd rushed out the door, hungry for sex (Or something else), and had put on an old band t-shirt that barely fit.

Dan seemed to be a little more focused on his body that night rather than his face, and Wes swore he would have started drooling.

"It's not that I don't think you're..." Dan's trailing off snaps Wes back to reality, saving him from his wandering thoughts.

"No. I get it. I just, uh..." Wes tries to find the right words as Dan looks back up at him, before tilting his head.

"Wanted to go again, sexpest?" There's amusement in Dan's voice.

"Yeah. Don't got much else going for me, being a dropout and all."

"I said I was sorry."

"I forgave you." Wes states.

"Still hurt you. Still not okay with that." Dan retorts back.

"I like being hurt. We talked about this."

"Yeah, physically."

"Maybe I like it emotionally."

"No," Dan says, reaching a hand out towards one of Wes's still planted on his chest, and gently placing it on top of the coyote's before giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm pretty sure you don't."

The words hit their target, and before either of them realizes Dan feels a wet drop fall onto his face, before Wes's hands shoot up to cover his eyes.

"Fuck." They both breathe out in unison, and Dan is quick to rise up, wrap his arms around Wes, and pull the coyote into his chest as the canine's body begins to shake with sobs. Dan is silent, simply rubbing the other's back and squeezing him as tight as he possibly could as his chest grows wet with Wes's tears.

"Fuckin'...Danny, fuck...!" Wes struggles to find words once more as his emotions spill out. "I just...Fuck! Fuck, Danny, why!? Why do you gotta -- Fuck!" With f-bomb after f-bomb, Wes lightly punches the mattress.

Dan remains silent, but his hand moves up from Wes's back to the back of his head and begins to gently stroke it. Though Wes hadn't managed to finish the question, Danny was pretty sure he could tell what it was going to be.

"'Cause I like you." He says, simply, without any deep thought. This wasn't the time to try and dance around words or try and be flowery, or anything like that, he figured. He would just say whatever the hell came to his mind.

"I think you're cute. Hot. Both of those things. I think you're funny and smart too. Sure, I like fucking you. I'm sure everyone who's slept with you does. But I also want to, y'know. Hold your hand. Stuff like that. I was just too much of a pussy to ever say that."

"Dumbass." Wes sniffles. After a few seconds, he regains some composure. "Really? "Hold your hand?" That...That all, Danny?" He says, a wry grin on his face, but his eyes are still glistening.

"What do you think?" Dan echoes himself, as Wes begins to rise up. Dan takes the opportunity to grab the blanket and wipe at Wes's eyes. The coyote doesn't stop him.

"I think you're a dumbass." Wes says.

"Maybe." Dan shrugs gingerly. "But I'm guessing you like that."

"Heh. Maybe I do. Maybe I do." Wes says, already feeling the awkwardness begin to set in. He knows if they settle into another uncomfortably comfortable silence for the umpteenth time that night Dan will eventually break it again, but that doesn't stop him from reaching out with a hand and clasping it tightly around one of Dan's.

They hold hands in the dark in silence, looking into each other's eyes, and this time, Wes breaks the silence.

"I got issues, Danny." He says. "I dunno why I like being hit. I mean, it feels good. But I guess I don't like it that much. Every time after, when we're done and the moments over, I feel like shit."

Dan's silent as he mulls his response over, before looking up. "Even with me?"

"A little." Wes admits. "Though you're more gentle. I mean, come on. You freaked out over a bite."

"Never gonna let that go, huh, tough guy?" Dan asks, sticking out his tongue.

"Nope." Wes nods. "Anyway. After that, I never usually see the guy again. Maybe if we meet up randomly. But, what I'm saying is...I just feel like a cumdump after. Used toy. You get the idea."

He sighs. "Not with you, though. I mean, I bet you don't even notice when you do it, but you try to wrap your tail 'round mine when you're blowing your load."

Dan can feel his face burn a little warmer as he laughs. "God, fuck -- you're right. Thought I grew out of that." He remembered his first high school boyfriend, and how he hated everytime Wes tried to lock his tail with his.

Wes was cuter than him anyway, Dan figured.

"Don't." Wes says. "It's fucking adorable."

Dan laughs again, and the coyote can't help but lean in and kiss him once more.

As they break away, Wes speaks again. "I'm fucked up, Danny." A short pause. "I'm not normal."

"Yeah, I could tell." Wes lightly punches Dan's arm at that.

"I'm a pain in the ass."

"Thought that was me."

"And you say I'm the smart aleck."

Wes begins to relax, though, cracking a grin at Dan's own.

"But...seriously. I've got a lot of shit. You can tell that."

"Yeah. I know." Dan says, his voice gentle. "But what exactly are you trying to say here? I think we're past the point of trying to stall. I mean, you literally cried in my arms."

Wes wants to take another jab, say something like "You'll be crying to your mom on the phone in a second", but decides against it. There's something he needs to say; a question he needs to ask.

"Danny." Wes begins, before his eyes dart around awkwardly. Dan is patient as Wes tries and fails to put words together in an order he thinks sounds good.

Eventually, he decides: Screw it.

"Danny." He repeats. "Would it..."

"Would it be okay if I fell in love with you?"

The words are cheesy. His face burns bright with embarrassment, and he immediately groans before slamming his face down into the pillow, letting out a muffled "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck...!"

Dan, however, doesn't even let out the slightest chuckle. Instead, he falls onto his back too, and wraps his arms around Wes once more. The coyote raises his head from the pillow just in time to hear Dan start speaking.

"Yeah. I think that'd be pretty okay." He says, before starting to smile.

"'Sides, wouldn't be fair if I said no."

"Danny...?" Hope and worry mix together in Wes's voice, as he feels his heart start to beat faster.

"Come on. It should be obvious to both of us now. I don't just like you, Wes. I love you. I don't just want to fuck you. I want to hold hands, and go on dates, and, uh..."

"Fuck me again?" Wes says, and they both laugh.

"Yeah. Sure." And with that, Dan pulls Wes closer to him one more time, and the two of them lie there, their bodies entangled.

"I'll be here in the morning." Wes yawns, and Dan nuzzles his head back into the other's neck.

"You better be. Because if you don't, I know where to find you."

"Oh? And then what?"

"And then..." Dan trails off as his tail slides over Wes's, and slowly begins to wrap around it.

"I'm gonna take you out to a nice dinner. Or something. I'll figure it out."

Wes's tail meets Dan's, and offers no resistance.

"You're giving me more incentive to fuck off."

"If you don't," Dan says, "I'll kiss you when I wake up."

"Sap." Wes retorts, as he grabs one of Dan's hands and pulls it to his chest, firmly planting it there. "It's a deal, then."

Even in the darkness, even though they'd both already came hours ago, the two of them lie together and bask in their shared afterglow.
