grackle perched
on large jagged stone -
keeping watch
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone
observant of the danger from the throne
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone
observant of his cautious needs alone
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone
observant of the people's deeds unknown
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone
observant of the stranger from his own
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone -
who ever knows the cautious woes of birds
when people think that nature is absurd
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone -

when birds consider futile civil plans
