"Ma-what?"asked Lily. She had never heard that word before. It sounded strange and exotic.
"Ma-gic! You don't know magic?"Naraaku asked her. He had lived using magic since he was a cub, why did Lily never heard of it?
"No... I've never heard of that... How did it make bananas fly?" Lily was even more stunned about that male. He was so different from her, and now, another thing separated them even more.
"It's basic. I just solidified the air around the bananas, made it pick them off the tree and carry them here."Naraaku explained. Lily understood what he just said but...
"I understand. Scientifically it is possible but... how did YOU do it?" Incredule and attached to her world's laws she tought she could never understand what he would be about to say, but if she needed to, she would try. Naraaku turned his back at her, looking at the sea.
"I believe you should sleep now. You and me. Maybe tomorrow we can talk. It's going to be a long explanation if i talk toroughly, but i'll try to make it short.
"But... OK."Lily agreed that she should sleep"But it's still so much light outside."She replied. Even being sundown at the time, the orange sky was too lit for her. "I can't sleep before full sunset..." Naraaku turned himself back at her and gently said "Would you want me to help you sleep?" Lily blushed... what would he be thinking of doing?
"OK, try."she gently requested. The fox sat down at the banana tree where she had woken up.
"Come. Sit on my lap..."he said. Holding his arm up, offering his paw to Lily, she held it and followed it to the musculed male. Sitting on his lap, leaning on his chest, she felt safe and warm... That instant Naraaku started humming a sweet, gentle sounding song... Lily enjoyed that moment as she never did before. She didn't want to leave the man she loved... The man she loved? How could she have forgotten Rufus, her husband? Where could his body be now? At the morgue? At the graveyard, burried on top of a hill? Burned down to ashes by a priest or a vingative mob? But more importantly, what about her daughter, Mary? She was too, lying on the floor, dead, as her husband. Why did he took her with her? In a fraction of second, she tought of something completely impossible, like he had regreted it all and killed himself and Mary, but couldn't kill Lily, so he had hired someone to do it, so they wouldn't hunger if he had no job... But Naraaku's song was all she cared about, and, as some kind of "magical" song, she felt her eyelids heavy and fell to sleep...

"So, you're telling me what that "Magic" thing is now?" Lily asked Naraaku as he entered the cave, the very same cave where she found him, with two dead rabbits on each hand, the palm leaf that covered his genitals a bit off lined, revealing some of his "skin".
"I tought you were going to ask "Naraaku? are you hurt? You weren't here..." and stuff..."he replied, disappointed with her attitude.
Lily apologized, scratching the back of her neck.
"But that's OK, i'll tell you now. I'll just ask you to listen to me and avoid any kind of interruptions!"he told her, putting down the rabbits on the cave floor.
"OK, i'll shut my yap!"
"Your what?"
"Forget it! Just talk!"
"OK"he started, taking a deep breath"My people, the fox people, as you want to call them, the Kitsune, as i call them, have a very strong link between ourselves and the nature around us." He said without stopping to breathe, sitting on the floor, in front of Lily.
"From that link came this ability of nearly controlling the nature around us as we please. Not only the nature actually. The most powerful "magicians", as we call the magic users, have such great links with everything that can even induce unexpected reactions in our fellow Kitsunes." Lily drank his words like water, her nipples hardening by no known reason.
"What kind of react..." Lily began to ask, forgetting her promise of silence.
"Forcing females to reproduce without hesitating!"Naraaku said on a risp"I also think you promised to be quiet..."
"Oh! Sorry! But it must be horrible to control females like that..."
"Not only females..."Naraaku said, looking sideways, very sad...
"STILL!"He rapidly shouted, looking back up in a flash, scaring Lily."This bond with nature was mostly used to help us in daily life, but some "smarty" guys tought of using it for war..."
Lily rapidly remembered of what he said about his massive cock, that it was their main weapon, but said nothing for she promised to be quiet.
"After that day, instead of scaring off the Nezumis, we satrted killing them."
Once more Lily did not ask what the "Nezumi" were, but she would try to remember that for later.
"The name "MAGIC" come from the main elements that compose this link: "M" for "mana", the energy that flows through us; "A" for "aero", the wind force, "G" for "gea", the mother earth; "I" for "ignito", the destructive fire; "C" for "corale", the water force." Any questions?"
Lily did not know where to begin. She had understood what magic was, but at the same time she didn't. She started asking "What are the "Nezumi"?"
Naraaku looked at her with sorry eyes"They are our long date, self-proclammed enemies."
"Enemies? Why?" Lily was very sad to know that his people had to fight.
"Well, our gea is composed of two parts, divided by a sokenzan range."He explained."In case you're wondering, a "sokenzan" is a large wall of rock that was born naturally."he quicly added, seeing Lily's eyes full of questions. "They live in the stooten part of our gea. That's the darkest part of our world..." Lily's stomach grumbled. She looked at him and blushed. She was starving.
"Leave it to me! I'll cook these rabbits!"Naraaku said. "Ici!"he proclamed, and the four rabbits were floating in the air that same instant. Then he warned her: "This is not going to be pretty!"he said. "I want to see!"she told him. "OK! Zasp!"and the same moment two bits of rock lifted from the ground and skinned the rabbits with such perfection as Leon Muller, top-chef in the "Rich Paw" restaurant Lily and Rufus used to eat.
"Flarmos!"Naraaku shouted, and the floor quickly started burning, and the fire cooked the skinned rabbits that were still hovering in mid-air.
"So that's the power of magic, huh?"Lily tought to herself. "Pretty much basically."Naraaku said, and then she understood she tought that out loud.
"Still, the nezumis wanted our part of the gea, and kept attacking it! We had to fend them off!
Being so, the Kitsune council tought of a way to scare them away, for good, they tought! But they kept coming back!"Naraaku said with his face full of grief.
"What was that way?"Lily asked him, afraid of what the answer might be.
"We raped them!"Naraaku simply said.
"I knew it was something like that. That's why your cock can grow so big right?"
"Exactly! That way they pained themselves off!"Naraaku replied. The image of Narraku raping a "Nezumi" frightened Lily... But what "was" a Nezumi?
"What the hell IS a Nezumi?"Lily shouted to herself, hoping Narraku would answer.
"The Nezumis are black, filthy creatures, with tails that look like worms..."Naraaku said, moving his arms in a way he could imitate a worm wiggling."They have these teeth pointing out and fine, yucking little whiskers, and their ears are fuzzy, and the female nezumis have breasts like you!"Naraaku said, disgusted with the look of Nezumis in his mind.
"One day, the elders of my village, the nearest one to the sokenzan border, told me to scout ahead on the range. I denied and they called a magician who made me go there. I couldn't control myself until i climbed the whole sokenzan up! I looked down and saw their buildings on the dark-sided gea. Then, as i tried to run away, i slipped off and came crashing down the range." Naraaku stopped talking. He felt pain in those memories. The humiliation of being controlled, the falling... "Then, those sons of "muhrazz" just walked near me while i was nearly dying and the eldest just said..."He stopped talking once more... he turned his face at the floor and closed his eyes with as much strenght as he had. He then started crying... Just out of the blue, he thrown him self to the floor, crying... more and more...
Lily, pitiful, held him on her arms and hugged him, her head over his shoulder and his head over her shoulder...
"He... he said... that if i was going to rebel myself... they didn't... need me... anymore... *sigh*, He conjured... one of their... teleportation magics to... throw me to... the sea...
but... they didn't know... *sigh* that there was this... island... and i was... teleported...*sigh*

"And that's when i found you, right?"

They had eaten the rabbits (one of them had burned) and went out for a walk in the woods.
Lily liked when the grass caressed her feet, but Naraaku didn't. He jumped from tree to tree with such grace and stile, just like a ninja.
"Hehe! Stop that Naraaku!"Lily giggled, when he touched her hair while jumping from a banana tree to a palm tree.
"If you didn't find me, i would be dead."he said with a smile, while watching her from the top of a tree.
"You would be the second guy who would die on me..." Lily said, remembering Rufus.
"Who else died on you?" He asked, jumping off the tree to stand in front of her.
"My husband, Rufus." she said, very sad.
"What's a "husband"?"
"It's someone you choose to spend the rest of your life with."
"Oh! It's a "love-mate" then?"
"I don't know what a "love-mate is."Lily said, but most likely would be "Kitsunish" for fiancée.
"It's someone you spend your life with, and have sex with."
"OK, so it is like a love-mate!"
"How did your love-mate die?"
"I want to know that as much as you do..."
"I think i can show you... will you tell me how it was?"
Liy was astonished! How could Naraaku show her how did Rufus die?
"Yes! Yes! Show me!" Lily screamed! She held his massive arms that could break loose with a single twitch, but he just let her paws be there.
"Just let me touch your head..."Naraaku said. He really proved to be a box full of surprises.
Lily let go of his arms and he lifted his right paw at her head level. The paw just got closer and closer, and as soon as it touched Lily's forehead, she was no longer with Naraaku.
She was now on her room, looking at her bed, misteriously lit, even with no light source around. She saw herself in bed alongside with Rufus, both quietly sleeping.
Then, out of the blue, the baby inter-com sent out the alarm: Mary was crying . Rufus woke up with the sound of her daughter crying.
"Dammit. Mary! Oh well."he grunted. Switching off the inter-com, he stood up and drunkily walked off the room. Lily followed him. When she entered Mary's room she could see Rufus coming back with her to their room.
"I'm gonna take you out beauty!"he said. Lily couldn't believe her ears. He was going to "take her out"?
She followed him back to their room and silently watched Rufus sittin on the window, one leg inside the room, the other one, outside the window. He was holding mary in his lap.
"Mary, daddy just got himself a new job, he is now working to a good man who will let daddy work at home, will pay daddy lots of money, and stuff. But why am i telling this to you? You're a baby! Hehe! Silly me. I just wished Lily was up to hear the news..."
So he had a new job! Why did he kill himself? But Lily didn't care, she just knew he was going to jump sooner or later, with her baby. Lily started crying, watching that scene, she wish she could stop. Then he closed his eyes, sleepy. Lily couldn't take her eyes off him.
He then, in what looked like years to Lily, altough it was only a few seconds, he slipped off the window. The same noise that woke her up so many nights ago was haunting her again...
She was innocent, and so was Rufus. But it didn't matter now.
