What Love Is
Love is something that is pure
something elaborate
somewhat of a cure
because love is a sickness
not to the body or mind
but to the soul, where feelings rest
locked away, deep in your chest.
you are not born with the key,
but provided a lock
and only one person can be
your expressive entity.
though we search
and scrounge
Seek and Frisk
we experiment with others
and we take the risks.
only one will be standing
only one we will chose
only one will make us
Significant twos.
and on the faithful day
when gold is bound to skin
loves fateful kiss, will break
the ground, for loves sin.
and nine months to the day
a symbol is born
to hope, love and faith.
and no reaon to mourn
Sunny days
and stormy weather
these are the principals
of trial and error.
for every one makes mistakes
and if the love is true,
then this lighting is no match
for you two.
So the years go bye
and your joy carries on
into the golden years
and your adventures are done
you look over at her
she gives you a smile
and at this moment
you know it was worth the while.
soon she is gone
she has kissed the clouds
and your left with yourself
her memory surrounds
you take a moment and think
"the world was ours
and we took it,
our love was limetless.
boundless into the universe
where our souls forever inter twined
and smiled with the endless warmth
of the sun on our backs
and the crisp breeze on our face.
we were feirce warriors
and masters of our own domain.
conquers and kings,
and love as our campaign.
she was yin and I was yang.
and now all I feel for her is pain."
Love is not one emotion, but many
Love can be happy
Love can be sad
Love can feel good
and Love can hurt bad.
But most importantly
love is just like you and I
It can multiply and flourish
or hinder and die.
