Flow, a name she chose for herself after her ordeal when she was younger. She had barely escaped with her life when the V'sori came, but they did not come for her, they came for her captor. His name was Scott Lexton, a geneticist of rather odd mental stability, it was he who decided that Flow would make for a very nice testing subject and thus, kidnapped her while she was playing with other children and her mother wasn't looking. She tried to kick and scream, but his hand was firmly over her mouth, muffling her cries for help. By the time her mother realized what happened, it was too late, and Flow was gone.

During her time under Lexton's domain, she was forced to undergo various treatments, injections, and some other devices best left forgotten. Her hell was only beginning for this went on for several years, and she had never had the chance to see what he was doing to her. She had asked only once why he was doing this to her, and his only response was, "You're a hybrid..."

She had known her heritage, being half human and half Atlantean, she was very different from other children. She was born with blue skin, and this caused some distress among the other children of her school. Though very soon after, they had finally accepted her. Thus, she figured that Lexton was trying to figure out why she had blue skin. Though she quickly learned that that was not the case when he allowed her to see his work thus far.

One morning, several years after her abduction, she woke to feeling very different, she had a splitting headache and her body felt as though it was being poked and prodded with thousands of needles. Being in her water tank didn't really help matters too much. Her eyes opened to see Lexton standing before the tank, smiling very maliciously at her. She tilted her head as he pressed a small button on a pad that was attached to the side of her tank, speaking with an excited voice.

"How do you like your new body?" He asked, though she had no idea what he was talking about until she noticed a mirror behind him, giving her full view of her tank and her newly changed body.

She shrieked at what she saw, instead of a human head, she had the head of a wolf; instead of human legs, she had the legs of an animal; and instead of her skin, she saw blue fur with a tail swaying behind her. She became frantic, not even hearing his voice as Lexton was trying to calm her down. Then the unthinkable happened, behind Lexton in the far wall was a large door, she watched as it vaporized and three large shark-like creatures appeared through the smoke. They were quick to seize Lexton, and smashed the glass to her tank, spilling her out before their large feet.

She looked up horrified as the closest one reached down and grabbed her by her neck, she tried to scream but her voice wasn't passing out of her mouth. Her mind began to reel as she could feel her consciousness slipping away. It was then that Flow was truly born; as her vision dimmed, she felt an emotion that she hadn't felt before beginning to form. Giving her clairvoyance of what was happening, and filling her with an energy that she, herself couldn't fathom, she gripped the creature's arm and used that energy, it was only moments until she realized that she was on the floor again, with the creature lying on the ground next to her, dead.

She looked at the other two creatures and Lexton, then at her hands. Her eyes widened as he saw small tendrils of electricity forming between her fingers. She then understood what she had to do, and looking around for something that would help her, she noticed that the floor was still covered in water from her tank. She quickly looked up as the second creature approached her, she didn't waste any time. Placing her hands on the floor, she roared, letting that energy flow from her again.

She watched in amazement as large lines of sparkling electricity jetted from her hands and sliced across the water, finally wrapping around the two large creatures and Lexton. Their bodies twitching and convulsing as they were electrocuted, finally dropping to the floor when she lifted her hands from the wet floor, holding back the energy that she now possessed.

The bodies of her electrified foes lay without life as she stumbled through the doorway, and climbed up the stairwell. Her new legs refusing to work properly the way she remembered them to, as she made it a hole in the wall at the top of the stairs. She quietly peered out of the large hole, looking at the insides of Lexton's home. Most was shrouded in the darkness of night, though the light of the moon shown through the windows.

The place was thrashed by, what she assumed were, the shark-beasts. Using the wall, Flow was able to lift herself up and walk haphazardly to the living room. She froze in place as she saw three bodies lying on the floor; a woman and two teenagers. She assumed that they were Lexton's family and regained her composure, thinking to herself that they got what they deserved as she started moving past.

Flow finally reached the front door, and was hesitant to open it. She knew only that she had to get away before more of those creatures showed up, but something held her at bay. She shivered as a soft breeze caressed her furred body, forcing her to realize that she was still very wet, and very naked in the darkness. She looked over at the bodies, then up at a flight of stairs and grumbled to herself as her eyes looked down at the wolf paws that were once human feet. Giving up and sighing to herself, she took hold of the railing and ascended up the stairs. Though her body was getting weaker with exhaustion, her walking was getting easier by the time she reached the last step. Her objective now was to find Lexton's bathroom and find a towel to dry herself off.

At the top of the stairs was a hallway with two doors to the left and one to the right, then one at the end of the hallway. All of them had been bashed in, which gave Flow reason to move cautiously as she made her way to the last door. She peered through each door as she passed them, stepping as lightly as the wooden boards under the soft carpeting would allow. Finally reaching the last door, she made her way through Lexton's room, and into the master bathroom. She fumbled through the darkness and finally found a towel, pausing to a strange smell that began to fill her senses. She tried to follow the scent and realized that it was the scent of wet dog. She felt her face heat up as she became embarrassed, not remembering the last time she took a shower. Her eyes had finally adjusted to the night, allowing her to see what she was doing. She decided to risk more time and clean herself, setting the towel to the side and reaching over to turn on the water to the bathtub.

She was done with her shower fairly quickly and was drying herself off while moving into the main bedroom, freezing at the doorway as she saw the hunched over form of someone staring at her from the entrance to the bedroom. She quickly tied off the towel around her chest and raising her fists in challenge to the form staring at her.

The forms voice made Flow stumble backwards, "I gave you a new life, and this is how you repay me?!"

She couldn't believe it, Lexton was still alive, "I... I saw you die!"

He cackled softly, "You can't kill me... and now, I'm going to make you bleed!"

She screamed as he lunged at her, unable to call forth the energy that she once had as he tackled her, pinning her arms above her head and leaning over her, bringing his face close to hers. A wicked smile spreading across is lips as he lifted a kitchen knife in his other hand, raising it high above his head.

"Time to die...", he hissed as his arm trembled high above him. She shrieked again as his arm began to descend, bringing the knife down with it. Almost at the same time, his body arched back as he screamed in pain and dropped the knife. She looked on in horror as the light of the moon, shining through the bedroom window, reflected off of a long blade, piercing through his chest.

A masked man leaned next to Lexton's ear and said calmly, "You first..."

Flow had no idea who this person was, or why he had saved her. However, she was grateful as she watched Lexton's body slump to the side as life left him. She looked up at her masked savior and blushed slightly only being able to manage, "Thank you..."

The masked man laughed, "You shouldn't be thanking me, I've been hunting him for a while... You just happened to be here..."

"Either way, you saved my life..." She retorted.

"You could've done that yourself... If you had the brains and the guts..." He said calmly as he turned and headed towards the door, "Oh, and by the way, here..." He tossed a small card into her lap as she sat up, "Don't be late... We need all the supers we can get..."

She blinked and picked up the card, being barely able to read the words on the card, she was only able to distinguish one word: OMEGA

She looked back up to ask the man what that meant, but he had vanished. Her mind became slightly numb from the experience and not wanting to run into anymore of the shark-men or have Lexton rise back from the dead, she quickly dried herself off and rummaged through the dresser drawers. Unable to find anything that she liked, she had an idea, unscrewing a bulb from a nearby lamp, she concentrated on using her powers to light the bulb. Unfortunately, she used too much and the bulb shattered in her hand. She sighed and went looking for another bulb, after she had depleted the house of all but three light bulbs, she picked one up and tried again, this time she was able to get some light and not burn out the bulb. Once she had a suitable look, she noticed that the closet door was open. Peeking inside, she found a long black duster and matching black cowboy hat. She smiled as it reminded her of when she was younger and had a fascination of the old western films that she watched.

As Flow dawned the duster and hat, she realized that she had dawdled too long and quickly went through the house. Finding some money and Lexton's hand-held computer, she dashed out of the house, disappearing into the night...

Snapping out of her daydream, Flow looked out over Star City, the lights illuminating the sky which added to its magnificence as the clouds past over. It had been two years since that night, and she had been surviving by using her powers. She had learned quickly how to control them, and she knew that she would only get better as new challenges greeted her. She stood on the edge of the building where she had been sitting, wondering how long she had been there, when a voice spoke, "Are you ready for your next mission, Flow?"

She turned and saw the masked man that saved her life standing next to her, her voice was confident as she spoke, "I am..."

"Good... Follow me then, and get ready for a fight you won't forget..." He said as he turned and began walking away from the ledge. Flow turned to face the city once more and placed her hat on her head, thinking to herself, 'Just a little longer and we'll be a family again... I'll definitely find you...'
