Poor Maki the fox, running through the forest, being chased by a ravenous predator. This is one of those story ideas I might like to expand on when vore month is done. There is something gratifying about being eaten by a hungry, almost feral creature who just wants you for food.

And I got this done early this time! HURRAH~!

Maki couldn't stop running. Every breath felt like fire in his throat and his legs screamed in pain. He still couldn't stop. The fox weaved in and out of the trees. He burst through bushes and splashed through puddles, leaving a trail of chaos in his midst.

And when he heard the beast's growl again, he could only run faster.

There was no losing the beast in the bush. Not only was the trail Maki left behind him a clear indicator of where he went, his white and orange fur reflected the moonlight like a beacon. It was only a matter of time before the beast caught up.

He had to get back to the village. He had to get back to safety. Alone he couldn't take it on, but with the community, they would be able to ward it off. Maki just had to get there first.

The sound of the beasts footsteps where getting ever louder, ever nearer. Thud. Thud! THUD! Each massive step shook the ground and rattled the very core of the forest. Each step made Maki's heart throb harder.

He could see the village lights in the distance. He was nearly there, he just needed to hold on for a few more minutes.

A roar pierced the night. A savage, beastial cry of triumph. The werewolf burst through the trees behind him and slammed Maki down on the ground. The fox gasped as breath was forced out of his lungs. He squirmed against that mighty weight that pinned him to the underbrush. The paw didn't budge, it was like moving a mountain. The beast's ravenous growling got closer and closer. It's muzzle came up next to Maki's face. Hot, rancid breath washed over him right before a slobbery tongue slurped slowly across his own muzzle. Maki shivered at the touch. He hoped the resulting grumble was the werewolf discovering how disgusting he tasted.

The ground suddenly fell away from Maki when the werewolf lifted him into the air. He was being held quite easily in one massive paw. The werewolf was massive, more three times Maki's size. He had heavy, bulky shoulders, and a thick coat of sleek, brown and grey fur. Even in such a position, the fox noted the fat, fluffy sheath and heavy balls that hung between the werewolf's digigrade legs. What he noticed more clearly, though, was the bright yellow eyes that stared at him, and that heavy, wet tongue that slurped over his lips. The swipe lifted the werewolf's upper lip a bit and revealed the dual rows of sharp, yellowing teeth. A stream of drool was falling, unnoticed by the monster, to the ground.

"Y-you're a werewolf, right? That means you're a person sometimes, right? C-can you hear me?" Maki kicked in the air, trying to dislodge himself. That grip held true and there wasn't even an inkling of give. There was a glimmer of hope for the young fox, though. A spark of intelligence was in those eyes. The werewolf seemed to be listening to what he was saying.

"P-put me down, please! You don't want to do this!" Maki begged.

"Hungryyyyy..." The werewolf replied in a deep, bone shaking voice. It sounded like a pile of rusted chains being dragged through a quarry. It was deep, rattly, and rough.

"I-I can get you food! Just put me down, we'll walk to the village, there's mutton, and sheep, and beef," Maki listed off all th animals, which seemed to make the werewolf drool more.

"Hungryyyy..." His hand lowered the fox slightly as he contemplated the menu options.

"Yeah, just put me down, we'll walk to the village, wait until daylight, and-" Maki yelped when the werewolf's grip tightened and lifted him back up.

"Hungryyyy... nooooooow..."

"W-wait, but I can help you! W-We can find a cure!" Maki shouted as he kicked and pulled at those massive claws.

"Help... feeeeeeeeeed... meeeeeeee..." The werewolf grumbled. With a swipe of his other claw, the werewolf sliced through Maki's clothes. Most of them fell to the ground as a pile of scraps. A chill wind brushed his naked body before the blistering heat of the werewolf's breath warmed him.

Maki was lifted into the air high above the werewolf's widening maw. Ropes of thick drool broke off between those teeth and dropped into the black abyss of that moonlit cavern. The werewolf tilted his prey and lowered his feet and tail into that maw. Instinctively, Maki's tail whipped out of those jaws, and he tried to stand using those slobber-soaked teeth as platforms. They were slippery, though, and he couldn't get a foot hold. One foot ended up stepping into the beast's massive tongue, and found some purchase there, but his other foot dropped right into the beast's gullet, and a swallow sealed it's fate.

As the werewolf tasted his fox-prey, a happy, satiated rumble purred through his chest. The beast relaxed his throat for a moment, giving Maki a small ray of hope he could pull out. Then the beast dropped him. Maki's heart plummeted and that gaping maw came up to meet him. It took the werewolf all of three gulps, and two snaps of his jaws to swallow his meal down. A bulge slid down the werewolf's throat, disappearing briefly beneath his chest, and then re-appeared to distend that cream-furred gut.

"BHUOOOORPH!" The werewolf belched. Tufts of fox fur flew out of his mouth and onto the forest ground. With his hunger sated and his meal still squirming, the werewolf disappeared into the forest shadows, to await the next full moon.
