Hey! so this is the first story I've written to be uploaded here. It's definitely not the best by far so any criticism or suggestions are welcome. The dark sky had not a cloud in sight; the moon's pale light providing little to no visibility to the dark streets. From there it was quite a jump up to the fire escape. he found a rock and kicked it into the air then very quickly slapping it with his tail. it flew like a bullet and upon hitting the chain that held up the escape ladder, breaking it. The ladder slid down and made a screeching sound as metal scratched metal but quickly it was over and the nickit was able to climb up. He managed to get up to one of the windows on the side and began to look for a way to open one of the many windows. Finally, he got one of the latches undone and got the window open; jumping stealthily through it he landed on a platform that oversaw the entire floor of the building. He looked around and found the door that led to one of the back rooms; the one he was looking at containing the valuable gems he was after.

The place, fortunately, lacked any serious security so he was able to get right up to the door with no issues at all. Using one of his claws he picked the lock hearing it click and allowing him to slip inside quickly. The room was dark though giving he was a nickit that wasn't much of an issue. Dark types had a level of natural night vision meaning he could easily see his objective; A medium safe filled with valuables beyond his imagination. He put his ear against it and using his tail turned the safe's lock one way, and hearing a click turned it the other way to repeat the process. After three clicks in total, he was able to open the safe and backed up. His eyes widened in shock however as he saw that the safe was empty. He stepped back in utter shock; he was certain that this was the safe that was supposed to hold the gems. He continued backing up but just before he thought about making a run for it. "THUD" he backed into something solid; actually, it was someone. The nickit looked up in horror to see a much larger and stronger midnight lycanroc, the rock-type canine sporting a massive grin whilst looking down on the fox.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" The lycanroc spoke with excitement and a small hint of lust. "Looks like a little thief trying to steal something."

Unbeknownst to the nickit, they had changed the storage location of the gems at the last minute, and now the nickit was at the full mercy of the lycanroc.
