The Ship
"He conjured this storm up to stop us from finding him!" cried the helmsman over the waves that crashed loudly against the ship.
"Don't be superstitious, Peters. We will find him."
The captain of this ship was a coyote with a muzzle scarred with claw marks in such a way that he appeared to have a permanent sneer on the right side of his muzzle. He was a mean old bastard, very determined and fearless. Some of his crew believed him to be insane or obsessed.
He only referred to their quarry as 'The Ship' and nothing more. Rumors had sprouted about the ship's captain being possessed by a demon and that's what had caused the captain, who was once held in high esteem by the entire fleet and country of Prowen, to become a rogue. His leavings were often gruesome and all who gave chase stopped upon their first encounters with his victims.
"We will find him. We will kill him. He will suffer!"
The captain forced his crew to yell and chant and sing that phrase over and over, again and again to make them more vicious. It worked with most of them. Despite his obsessions and his demeanor, the Captain had inspired his crew. They wanted retribution.
