#3 of Air gear: cold wind (book 2)
Once home Tsume saw buccha on the sofa eating 10 packs of ramen noodles as he was laughing at comedy shows
"Welcome back tsume did you enjoy your walk?"
"Sure it was exciting, I'm going to bed for a bit"
She said that she headed to her bedroom and close the door when she got into bed and closed her eyes for a bit she heard her door open but didn't open her eyes when she felt a hand on her forehead making her eyes open slightly
"You don't seem to have a fever, are you sure you're okay?"
"No need to worry big guy I know how to fight this"
"All right just don't hesitate to call me if you're feeling really bad"
buccha said as he left the room allowing her to get some sleep. A couple of hours later cousin got tsume up to eat something and also got a name text message from a friend of hers that she couldn't believe came here to see her, the message told her to meet him at the park and so she did after getting dressed and heading to the door she saw buccha passed out on the sofa snoring. Once at the park tsume put on her Att's and started to ride around on the ramps, some of the kids there knew who she was as they wanted to ride with her as other asked for her autograph, She was having fun teaching the little ones and saw the older ones show off. Until someone came up to her
"Hey, long time no see tsume "
Tsume looked to see and was surprised to see her old friend Ryuichi, a boy with orange hair pulled into a ponytail and blue eyes, dressed in a white shirt with a white and blue Jacket. Black pants and white sneakers
"Hey, Ryuichi how are you ...here?"
She said surprised as he chuckled.
"I have my ways."
He said. Tsume and Ryuichi were friends during high school until they started dating but that fell apart within 4 months because of some jealous girls that didn't want them together. Tsume and Ryuichi were alone sitting on a bench
"It's been a long time since I've seen you"
She said as he nodded
"I'm sorry for what happened back in high school"
"It's ok I'm over it, so what have you been up to?"
She asked as he looked up at her
"The same as you, in Kyoto I'm known everywhere and I know that your big as well here in Japan"
"I try not to be"
Tsume said with a laugh
"I saw you and another person tied during your match"
He said as tsume hated being reminded about that but she couldn't hide it. So she told him everything
"Wanna race?"
"What?"
"You heard me, let go, show me what you can do. If you win, I'll give you something"
He said as he stood up, tsume looked at him for a while before agreeing. The two of them started off together and raced off down the busy streets ignoring the car horns and cars flying down the highway. Tsume couldn't believe Ryuichi was so fast, it was hard for her to even keep up she had to dodge cars and try not to get hit from the speed they were going it wasn't something tsume to. Time seems to slow Ryuichi down for tsume as she could hear her heart beating with every breath she took only for her to feel her heart jolt as everything went dark
Ryuichi POV)
Ryuichi was getting closer to the end of the highway, he looked back to see if tsume was still behind him only to see she was wasn't. He looked around a couple of times and started to skate backward calling for her but before he could say her name fully something past him. A gust of cold wind brushed next to him making his eyes widen when he was able to catch a glimpse of what it was and saw it was tsume. She zipped past him and out of sight, He was shocked at what he saw and tried to catch up as he felt something was wrong, using the wind for boots he flue down the road as well seeing tsume up ahead not stopping.
"Tsume!!!"
He called but she didn't respond, he pushed himself more to ride next to her and saw her eyes were glazed over as she was just looking forward. He reached out to her but missed when a car horn was heard making him moved away. He had to think fast and so when he times it right he and tsume exit off of the highway as he knocked into her hard enough that they both went into a river that was closing in on them. Ryuichi helped tsume out of the water and checked to see if she was ok. He couldn't believe what happened nor could he explained it.
