As the sun rose on a beautiful forest, the animals woke up to feel something different in the air. They all felt it and were telling one another about it.

"Do you feel that? Do you think...no, it couldn't be"

They all felt the energy in the air, knowing it must only mean one thing... New life has been born into this world. Following this energy, then ended up at the clearing where a Deer they all knew and loved was laying down next to a small form. They knew her as *Mother* as she was just that to everyone in the forest. The small form was laying down next to her looking all peaceful, with various spots on him/her, they couldn't tell yet, but he/she looked like a he.. They all thought this over.

"Could this be true? Is a new doe really laying next to her or are we just imagining?"

They came to one conclusion, and that was that she had successfully mated with her husband. They were all so amazed at the site that they forgot to say *Congratulations!* And that soon dawned on them. That word could be heard around the group, the Mother looking all flustered and flushed, feeling so proud.. She recollected on her mating with the Father a few weeks before, and she remembers him telling her that if they had a son, he want's his/her name to be Bambi.

A group of rabbits bounced onto the wonderful scene, with the Mother rabbit following close behind. They too, looked onto the wonderful scene, while Bambi slept soundly next to her, unaware he was being watched by so many animals around him, as he dreamed of a wonderful life ahead of him, if Man did not interfere. A small rabbit by the name of Thumper hopped ahead of the pack, being fixated so much on Bambi (his name which he has not yet learned) that he couldn't feel his Mother's eyes on him. He got so close to Bambi that he could feel his breath on his small nose as he slept.

"Thumper!"

He winced at the call of his name, and turned around slowly, looking at his mother.

"Yes, Mama?"

"You had better watch yourself, don't wake him up!"

He nodded slowly, then turned back around, sniffed Bambi's nostril, giggled, then hopped back to his Mother and the rest of his family. As the animals watched some more, he suddenly began to stir, and the Mother smiled as he slowly opened his eyes and looked up at her, smiling. Then he suddenly became aware of all the animals around him watching. His eyes became bigger, and he became scared.

*What's going on here?*

*Who are these people and why are they watching me?*

Is the thoughts that went on in his young brain. Thumper watched him wake up and took this to his advantage. He hopped back over to him and stared at him. He stared back, afraid and shy. Mr Owl in the tree leaned down and went

"Hoo Hoo!"

While he chuckled, which made him scared again, and he nuzzled into his Mother's belly, behind sticking out. All the animals laughed, while the Mother smiled, knowing they meant no harm.

"It's all right Bambi, no need to be afraid"

The sound of his Mother's comforting voice made his insides stop quivering, and he relaxed some, but still had his face buried in his Mother's belly. He suddenly had a yearning to stand up and look at everybody, and he did just that. Unburying his face from his Mother's belly, he tried to stand up, not used to his body yet. First he used his muscles to try and get his left back leg up, then the right. He was all quivery. Then he tried his front legs. He managed to stand up on all fours, all quivery like, but he fell again, embarrassed as he got a face full of forest floor.

"Why can't I stand up?"

"This is hard!"

"Let me try again, and hope they will stop laughing at me!"

He used his muscles once again to try and stand up. He did a bit better this time, but he was feeling unusually tired. Of course, his body failed on him again, and he once again got a faceful of forest floor.

"Ah poo!"

"This is embarrassing!"

But all his body wanted to do was sleep, as was evident by the big yawn he made that minute. The animals noticed and thought it was high time they left Mother and her little doe alone. But of course Mr Owl had to be big mouthed and told them all to shoo.

"I think it's high time we leave now."

"Go on!"

"Shoo!"

He went around the trees, shooing the birds away, even though they were leaving already. A little chipmunk wasn't paying any attention to him however, he was too amazed at the sight of a new doe in the forest, his little tail wagging. Suddenly seeing a big owl face and eye out of the corner of his, he jumped a bit, and ran back into his tree. Mr Owl left as well, leaving Mother with her new Son alone. But, Thumper ran back into the scene, watching Bambi yawn and go to sleep. His voice called out suddenly , making Bambi stir a bit, but he was too sleepy to wake back up.

"Wotcha gonna call him?"

Mother smiled.

"I think I shall call him...Bambi"

"Bambi...sounds nice!"

He then hopped off, joining the rest of his family as they went back home. The forest then became quiet, leaving Bambi to sleep in peace. His Mother heard his stomach growling, knowing he must be hungry after all this excitement, so she laid on her side, so he could access her teats easily. He happily obliged, getting close to that area, and sleepily suckling on one of her teats, warm milk flowing into his maw and down his throat, making him even more sleepy. He soon fell asleep, his body reacting as normal to the milk he drank earlier, and he peed while he slept, making a small puddle beneath him. It soon absorbed into the ground though. His Mother soon fell asleep too, but she first gave her adorable son a small lap on his head-fur, making him smile. She giggles as she watches him pee while he sleeps, enjoying the feeling of him drinking her milk, as she dozes off.

The sun rose once again on the two sleeping does, and boy were they happy! The Mother was happy that she had given life to such a beautiful young doe, and Bambi was happy to be alive! Even though he was curious about everything. He even asked her what that slit and pink hole was under her tail, which made her chuckle. She kindly explained it though, although she didn't think he fully understood. He got distracted by a butterfly while she was explaining, which made her smile, showing how curious he is about everything. But no matter, he would find out soon enough. She looks down on her beautiful little son, still sleeping soundly beside her, her having been the first one to wake up. She laps his head-fur, nuzzling him softly, unsure on whether or not to let him sleep some more, or to wake him up now, as she wanted to make this a very happy day for him. She decided to let him rest, and for herself to get some more rest as well.

Flames engulfed everything around him. His Mother didn't seem to be nearby, but he could sense her presence. Running around, he tried to escape the fire, but it was no use. He couldn't see his Mother anywhere. He called out for her, but his voice only came out as a squeak. Heart hammering, he ran around in circles, unsure what to do, while trees collapsed around him. He felt so helpless, so alone...and afraid. In total fear, he peed all over the ground. Pretty soon, the fallen trees had made a circle around him. The fire felt so hot...almost touching him. Burning up, he panted. The fire...so hot... Before he knew it, he, himself, was on fire. His screams only seemed to be in his mind. He tried calling for his Mother again, but to no avail. He fell to the ground, looking up at the sky. The sky suddenly began turning in a circle, and all he could feel was himself on fire. Then suddenly......

Jolting upright, he saw only fur in his vision, making his heart hammer more. But then he realized...it was his Mother's fur. It had only been a bad dream. Looking around, he saw the forest was just fine. No fire, no burning and collapsing trees. Everything was just fine.

'Oh, Mother!' He cried out happily, not realizing she was asleep. He nuzzled her, licking at her fur.

Hearing a faraway voice, she looked around the open field. It sounded like Bambi.

'Bambi?' She called out, unsure if she really heard him or not. Walking around the field, she brushed through the tall grass, feeling a somewhat ominous presence near her. She knew what this feeling was, and she began fearing for Bambi's life

Running through the grass, she tried helplessly to find Bambi.

A sudden gunshot rang through the air, making her wince and jump. 'No! Bambi!' Her own heart hammering, she frantically ran through the grass, almost tumbling. For the first time since she was a little faun, she peed on the ground in fear. Tripping over her own legs, she fell face first into the tall grass, completely concealed from normal view. But she felt the presence get closer..and closer. Another gunshot, this time right next to her ear. She felt something penetrate her side, and she knew it was all over. But all she could think about was her son.

Hearing footsteps running away, she was left there, bleeding profusely. Looking up at the sky, everything began to spin....

Gasping as she jolted upright, she looked around, seeing she was in a cove of trees, safe, and not in an open field where she was before.

'Thank goodness it was only a dream' She said to herself. Suddenly, Bambi came rushing back to her mind, and she frantically looked around with her eyes, searching for him. Her eyes rested on him right by her side, safe and sound, and awake, it seemed, as he nuzzled her side and was licking at her fur. She cried out in joy in seeing her son safe.

"Oh Bambi! You're safe!" She didn't know if she should tell him she had a bad dream or not, but he soon told her differently. "Oh Mama, I had a bad dream! I was...on fire, and I was all alone, and, the trees were falling all around me"

"Whoa son, slow down. It was just a dream"

She comforted him, nuzzling him and licking his maw. She then told him about her dream, and his eyes got big. 'Oh Mama! Don't leave me!' Tears were running down his cheeks. She lapped them away, comforting him. 'I am not going anywhere son, and..."Oh? What's this?" Sniffing the air, she smelled something, and she knew what it was. She gently moved him aside, and saw there was a big puddle on the ground. He looked at her, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. She looked at him with a sudden look that made him think she was mad at him. More tears rolled down his muzzle. He didn't want his mom to be mad at him. She looked in his eyes, sensing his fear. His eyes had a look of shock in them. 'Oh son, I'm not mad. Don't worry. Peeing is a natural process of the body, so don't be ashamed.'

She licked his maw again to show she wasn't mad. A big smile formed on his maw, and he happily licked her back, all his fear gone. The sudden need to pee again hit him, and for a minute, he felt compelled to hold it in. But, looking in his mother's eyes, her gaze relaxed him, and his bladder released. A wet fluid sound could be heard as he peed where he was laying, making another puddle underneath him, warming him. Murring a bit, he began to enjoy this new feeling he had discovered, linking it somehow with his mom. She smiled down at him as she watched him pee, seeing him really enjoying it, as he began to murr.

She also felt the need to pee, and also wanted to please him. 'Son, get behind me, where my pink hole and slit are' He knew what she was talking about, so he scooted behind her, where her *pink hole* and *slit* were, as he described them a few days earlier. She released her bladder, peeing onto the ground, smiling back at him. Getting the full view, he watched as he saw fluid come out of her slit, hitting the ground in a steady stream, releasing a most wonderful scent into the air, and making a most pleasant sound. He giggled with joy, now linking this new *peeing* game with happiness, and his mother knew so. The two of them enjoyed being with each other, their bad dreams forgotten for now.
