Dr. Hetrick looked at his wristwatch. 7:49. He sighed a long sigh, closing his eyes and removing his glasses.

It had been a long day at the Kenosha Family Medical Center. Not many patients, which meant slow. It was only a family doctor's office, after all.

"Dr.?" his ferret assistant walked in with a manilla folder held in both hands.

"I have the results from the autopsies on those two kids," he said, holding the folder out for the doctor to take.

"Thanks, Kevin. Why don't you take the rest of the evening off? Things don't look like they're going to speed up tonight," the doctor replied, putting his glasses back on.

"Really? Thank you, sir," This was the only thing he had left to, read the paperwork from the autopsy on the two kids that had come in a few days earlier.

Two adolescent males. Alexander Totman, red fox, aged at 16 years. No outstanding medical records. Second, Jason Noonan, gray wolf, aged at 18 years. No outstanding medical records. The two were found dead in the home of Maryanne Totman, mother to Alexander Totman, ex-wife to Donald Totman. Both subjects were naked when found, Alexander laying on top of Jason with a knife in hand, blood stains on the fur of both subjects and the couch upon which they were laying. The two presumably had either fallen asleep or had committed a double suicide after engaging in intercourse.

The younger one was simple. Deep cut on the left wrist, knife in the hand when the bodies were found. Ultimate cause of death: blood loss. This kid had committed suicide. Poor guy.

The double suicide was out of the question, however.

The older one had taken a little longer. Blood tests came out negative to any diseases or gaseous exposures. He had a bit of marijuana in him from several weeks ago and some more recent alcohol, but that could hardly have killed him. No signs of physical violence were found on the body and no asphyxiation or anything like that. There was no obvious cause of death and the body was in a healthy condition.

The only explanation was that there was no explanation. "SUDS," the doctor said to himself. The kid had just unexplainably died in his sleep.

The doctor again removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. He spun about in his chair and stood up, walking toward the door. He would send the information to the forces that be to then send the information to all four parents.

"Poor kids," Dr. Hetrick thought to himself.

"Wonder if the parents knew they were gay," the doctor thought, reminiscing to his closeted adolescence. He flicked off the light and grabbed his coat.
