Old Friends, New Bond
Once again you all should know the drill: Don't read further if you are under 18 or 21 depending on location. I would hope that if you are underage, that you do keep the door locked so that a college roommate doesn't walk in on you as you read from this site if he is opposed to such things....not that it's ever happened of course....Anyways onwards we go! P.S. I write long, intimate, passion filled stories with of course yiffing, but it's not just raw yiffing, so don't expect that from my stories. This is my first Male/Male story, please let me know how you like it!
A young 16 year old semi muscular grey furred wolf was pedaling his way hard on his bike along the path that ultimately would lead him to his best friend's house. His cargo pants flapping loudly as he moved through the air swiftly. The young wolf was so eager to see his friend because it was the first time he had been able to see his friend in over a month due to the fact that he was away on vacation with his family visiting relatives who still lived in Africa. Taygo sped off the sidewalk and biked quickly across the street to avoid the oncoming cars that would never stop for anyone riding a bike. The 3 mile bike ride seemed to take longer than he ever recalled before as he had never been so eager to see his friend who was as loyal a companion a wolf could have, and in the world of canines, that really meant something.
The friend's name was Alikai, a lion of equal age who was starting to grow a rather large mane that showed that he was really coming of age. The lion was about the same height as Taygo but he had a more muscular build. The lion had been Taygo's best friend since elementary school and they became friends when they were both in time out for fighting over some girl they both had a crush on in fourth grade. Taygo remembered how they talked about everything that was important to a fourth grader at that time which varied from watching cartoons, to chasing a squirrel up a tree. Taygo smiled as he recalled when Alikai told him the story about how he once became a little too excited when he saw a squirrel and followed it up the tree and had to wait for his father to come home from work to lift him down.
Taygo snapped out of his reminiscing as he slid his bike to a skid as he was now waiting in the gravel driveway of his best friend's house. Alikai's sensitive ears picked up the sound of Taygo's bike skidding to a stop in his driveway and came rumbling down the stairs excitedly. Alikai slammed open the large red front door leaving it to slam all the way open ignoring the irritated call of his mother who yelled at him to not do that. Alikai came bolting out the door and with one bound of his strong hind legs; he pounced and tackled his wolf friend off his bike leaving them both to fall to the ground. The large lion began to playfully wrestle with his best friend which Taygo knew he would lose at but still gave it his all. After wrestling for a minute or two they finally pulled away and stood still before giving each other a firm brotherly hug.
"How are you doing Alikai?! How was Africa? How are your relatives?! You let one month of our summer break slip by! Why did you leave me here all alone!?" The wolf's tone couldn't have been more excited as his tail wagged rapidly from side to side. The large lion gave the wolf a pat on his back before he pulled away from the hug.
"I am doing fantastic old friend, Africa was amazingly hot, the relatives were boring, and I know that one month of our summer slipped by! There is still a tally on a random rock in Africa of me counting down the days until I would get back to see you. Does that answer all of your questions to silly puppy?" The large lion asked with a grin that showed his large pearly white teeth.
Taygo laughed and said "Of course it does. We have so much to do. We need to catch up on a month's worth of videogames, movies, and gallons of ice cream to eat!"
"Don't forget the microwavable pizza's that we always eat whenever we stay at each other's houses. My mom fully stocked the freezer in the basement so we should be set for a couple weeks." The large lion licked his chops at the thought of the pizzas that he loved so much waiting to be devoured.
Taygo chuckled and lifted his bike back up that was toppled over by all the commotion. Alikai wrapped his large muscular arm around the wolf's shoulder as they both walked back behind the medium sized, two story white house. Taygo tied his bike up to the back fence that wrapped around the backyard with the bike lock that Alikai kept there just for him.
Once the jet black shiny bike was locked securely, Taygo followed Alikai in through the back screen door which led directly into the decent sized kitchen which had been remodeled during Alikai's stay in Africa. "The new kitchen looks great! Your dad really did a wonderful job designing this kitchen."
"Why thank you Taygo!" said the large well dressed lion that walked in through the kitchen just as the wolf finished his sentence. The large lion set his briefcase down on the medium sized kitchen table. The lion took off his blazer and walked over to the wolf that may as well have been a second son to him and gave the wolf, who felt dwarfed often by the large muscular build of Alikai's father, a hug that each time pushed the wind out of Taygo's lungs. He never really minded, it just always took him a second afterwards to get the air back in his lungs.
"Is it safe to assume that you two will be eating your microwavable pizza's today?" asked the bulky lion who began removing his tie and leaving it on a chair. "It is getting to be about time to eat isn't it? Taygo, you better call your mom and ask if it's okay that you stay over for dinner." said the large lion in a stately manner.
"I already asked about dinner before I even came here because I knew I would be staying longer than just a few minutes." replied Taygo.
"Ah, very good. Well you two can go do whatever you wish guys. I have some work to do right now." said the large lion somberly, obviously he was exhausted and ready to rest but present circumstances seemed to prevent that.
Alikai nodded signaling Taygo to follow him. They walked through the kitchen grabbing some fruit out of the fruit bowl that was sitting on the wooden counter and continued towards the front of the house which led towards the stairs. The two best friends raced up the stairs into Alikai's bedroom which was a haven for teenage boys. It had everything Taygo could have dreamed of such as an incredibly expensive stereo system and a large flat screen television which was mounted up above the end of the bed. Alikai had it so that his computer, and all of his game consoles were hooked up to the large flat screen so that the picture was incredible, and the sound coming out of the stereo system made it seem like you were really there. The only way that the lion could afford all of that was thanks to his father's new job that paid rather well.
"All right pup, what are we playing today? I have all of the old classics plus a couple new games I picked up on our way back home from the airport. I have been dying to try this new Soul Caliber IV! It looks so awesome!" The lion bounded under his bed to pull a large wooden bin that was filled to the brim with video games. Alikai flipped through the games until I found the one still wrapped up in its new packaging. He used his canines to tear it out of the plastic wrap and quickly turned on the X-Box 360 game console and put in the shiny new disk. Taygo hopped up onto Alikai's very comfortable bed and leaned against the back which had several pillows packed against the back board. Once Taygo was comfy, Alikai leaped up onto the bed barely missing tackling Taygo. The large lion patted his friend on the shoulder and handed him a controller. The game whirred to life and in no time at all, they were killing each other and having a great time.
After what felt like hours of playing, they could hear their tummies rumbling for some food. "You getting hungry meow mix? My tummy is rumbling." said the grey wolf teasingly albeit in almost a weak tone trying to sound desperate.
"Yeah, I am getting pretty hungry myself. Basement?" said the lion knowing that the wolf would know exactly what he meant.
"Basement." Confirmed the wolf as he set the controller onto the bed and hopped off. The large lion followed closely behind as Taygo led the way down two flights of stairs into the carpeted basement that had a full entertainment center down there as well for the lion's parents. They headed back behind the dividing wall of the basement and walked over to the large freezer.
Alikai opened up the freezer and said to Taygo, "Let's see, we have cheese, cheese, or for some variety, cheese!"
"I'm going to have to go with the rare delicacy of the cheese then my friend!" Said the wolf as he felt his mouth salivating at the very thought of the pizza. The wolf's tail wagged back and forth so fast that it kept hitting the lion's tail which caused them both to laugh as they headed out with two pizzas each. They justified eating so much to Alikai's parents by commenting that they were growing boys.
They hurried up through the wooden staircase and marched right into the kitchen where Alikai's mother could be seen cooking some food on the stove for her and her husband. "Hello Taygo! It's so good to see you! What? Too busy to hug your second mother?" Said the rather youthful looking lioness as she gave Taygo a very warm smile. Taygo set down his pizzas by the microwave and walked over smiling to the lioness and gave her a very warm hug.
"How has your summer break been going so far? Keeping in trouble I hope!" said the mother teasing the wolf who always seemed to stay out of trouble despite him being a playful young wolf.
"It was okay, you guys took my best friend away from me for a month! It was terrible! Never do that to me again Mrs. Laris!" joked the young wolf. Taygo loved that he could talk to his best friend's parents as if they were his age. In Taygo's house things were about as equally informal and he loved it.
"Well I know how I can make it up to you, why don't you call and tell your parents that you will be staying over here for a couple days to make up for lost time." said the very sweet and loving lioness.
Taygo's eyes widened in excitement and began panting happily as his tail wagged back and forth slapping against the counter he was leaning against. The lioness mother laughed softly and returned to her cooking. Taygo whipped out his cell phone and dialed home.
"Hey mom, Mrs. Laris invited me to stay over for a couple days since I haven't seen Alikai in a month." said the young wolf eagerly.
"Hahaha, calm down Taygo, Alikai's mom already called me earlier and wanted to surprise you, your dad and I already planned to go out for a nice short vacation with your sister. You boys just have fun! Love you Taygo!" said the loving mother.
"Love you too mom!" Taygo shut his phone and eagerly bounded over to his best friend who was almost done microwaving the pizzas.
"I heard the whole conversation!" said the large lion excitedly as his sensitive feline ears twitched. The two close friends proceeded to devour their meal and returned their plates to the kitchen. Mrs. Laris waved them out of the kitchen and told them to go watch a movie and that she would bring some desert to them later once she and Alikai's father had dinner. The two best friends headed back up to Alikai's room and put in their favorite action/comedy movie and just enjoyed laughing together for the first time in what seemed like forever to the two old friends.
The movie ended and the two old friends stayed up late playing videogames after they licked clean the heaping bowls of ice cream that Alikai's mother had brought up. The two were getting tired as night had turned into very early morning. Alikai turned off his game console and curled up beneath the covers of his queen sized bed as he pulled off his shirt and pants and threw them to the side of the bed revealing the lion's rather muscular build to Taygo. Taygo gazed despite as many times he has seen his best friend without a shirt and just in his boxers. Taygo followed suit and removed his clothing down to his pair of boxers. The wolf pulled out the trundle bed that was beneath Alikai's bed after having to move the wooden box full of games to the side in order to pull it out. Taygo curled up beneath the covers that his mother had bought just for him to use over at his best friend's house since he stayed over there so frequently.
"We have a big day tomorrow old friend. We need to fill tomorrow up somehow and I have a few ideas for fun." said the large lion as he bunched up his pillows into a very large comfortable lair for his head and mane.
"I am sure we will figure out lots of to do. I am glad you're back Alikai, it was getting lonely without you..." replied the very sleepy wolf. As he let his eyes flutter to sleep he couldn't help but feel like the part of him that was missing was finally back in his life, and he was laying only a few feet away from him. Taygo shrugged it off figuring it was just him being tired and the fact that they were just really close friends. What Taygo didn't know was that Alikai was falling asleep with ease because his best friend was by his side again. Alikai and Taygo drifted off to a very sound sleep with the morning bringing more good times for the two to share.
The bright sun shined brightly into Taygo's closed eyes through the blinds that weren't completely closed. The warm rays of sun gently woke up the wolf. Taygo's eyes opened and he quickly covered his eyes with his paw to block out the sun. Taygo sat up and looked over to find that the lion was still sound asleep, Taygo shook his head back and forth commenting about him being a typical feline. Taygo rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and got up from the bed and headed out into the long hall. The wolf padded down to the bathroom and relieved himself. After washing his hands and returning back to the room he debated for a moment whether or not to wake up the sleeping lion since it was just barely ten o'clock. Taygo decided to just turn on the X-Box 360 quietly and played some single person shooter game to pass the time as it was still relatively early for a teenage lion to wake up. After playing for a couple hours he decided he let his best friend sleep long enough. He turned off the game and quietly walked over to the side of the bed. He pulled back the covers figuring that the slightly cooler air of the room would wake his friend up. The only thing the lion did was curl up a little more. Taygo just gave up with the gentle wakeup call and leaned over him and nudged the large lion awake. As Taygo was shaking the shoulder of his best friend to wake him his eyes fell and saw to his dismay a rather large morning wood tent in his best friend's boxers. Taygo quickly looked up and stared at the wall trying to forget what he just saw, however Taygo couldn't ignore the gentle tingle he felt in his own loins. The wolf cast the image out of his mind and continued nudging the large lion awake. Alikai finally woke up shaking his large mane and pulled up the covers. Alikai noticed his own predicament and hoped that the wolf didn't notice.
"Hey puppy, sorry, lions are not morning folk like you wolves." said the lion as he sat on the edge of the bed still covering himself. The lion let out a large yawn and felt confident enough to stand up after a few moments.
"I have to go use the bathroom; I'll be back in just a minute okay? Then we can go grab some breakfast." the large lion said as he headed down the hall. Taygo's mind kept jumping to the image of the tent in the lion's boxers and each time he would try to make it disappear from his mind. Thankfully his friend returned and they both headed downstairs to grab some food which for Taygo was more than welcome for both the distraction, and the emptiness that he was feeling in his stomach.
"Let's see, we have ham, eggs, and potatoes. I could cook us up a wonderful breakfast with that!" said the large lion eagerly. The lion prepared the breakfast as the two best friends conversed about Alikai's trip to Africa. At the end of the conversation Taygo was convinced that his friends' relatives were boring, but that the country was absolutely beautiful.
"Were there at least any cute lionesses there for you to check out?" asked the wolf curiously. Taygo wasn't sure what kind of answer he was hoping for.
"Meh, most of them already had mates..." said the lion, seemingly purposefully avoiding the question whether or not there were any cute lionesses regardless. Taygo picked up on it but gave it little thought. Taygo couldn't help but feel like he wished he was the only one that mattered to Alikai; he liked it being just them. The mixed feelings he was having this morning were still stuck in his mind throwing him for a loop. Alikai's thoughts came to a halt after the hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, fried ham, and hash browns were served up on plates.
"You know that skating rink is open, we haven't been there for quite a while. I heard that they remodeled the place. Let's go check it out!" said the lion through a mouthful of ham.
"Alikai! Don't talk with your mouth open, and as handsome as you boys are, put some clothes on!" said Alikai's mother as she walked through the kitchen with a laundry basket in her arms and a huge smile on her face. Taygo loved the fact that she was never actually upset and always made requests with a smile and a laugh in her voice. "Taygo, your drawer in Alikai's dresser has clean clothes. I am glad your mom insisted on leaving clothes for you two at each other's houses."
"Yes mom, and thank you!" said the two boys synonymously and laughed at their own cleverness. The two best friends cleared their plates of the meal that satisfied their stomachs and they headed on upstairs.
"Hey Taygo I'm going to shower, do you want to shower after me?" asked the lion as he began grabbing a blue towel and some fresh clothes from his dresser.
"Yeah, sure. I'm just going to hang out in here and play some X-Box 360 for a while." Replied Taygo as he hopped up onto the bed and turned on the console bringing it to life. The large lion padded out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom. Taygo began his game of killing computer players as he leaned up against the comfortable pillows on the lion's bed. Taygo played for about 20 minutes just waiting for Alikai to come out of the bathroom. Alikai came back into the room in his shirt and pants as he was drying off his large mane. The lion let his instinct to shake his mane to make him dry take over. Taygo being as close by as he was got the brunt of the wet water that the lion just shook off his body.
"I thought you could use a little sprinkle to feel how the water is." said Alikai with a booming laugh.
"It's rather cold after being out in the air for a bit!" said the wolf with a side smirk as he turned off the game console. The wolf grabbed a shirt, boxers and pants out of his drawer in Alikai's dresser and flicked the tip of Alikai's tail as he walked by him. The large lion leapt a foot into the air in shock and turned around looked at Taygo with his eyebrow raised and a smile on his face. Taygo left the room grabbing his sides from laughing so hard as he walked down to the bathroom. Taygo turned on the faucet and stood there in his boxers waiting for the jets of water to get warmed up. Taygo didn't have to wait long for the water to heat up. Taygo removed his boxers and threw them off to the side. As Taygo stood there naked he felt the tip of his sheath feel a little wet. The wolf looked down and saw some precum had come about. Taygo quickly looked away ashamed at himself. Taygo knew it was from seeing his best friend's tent in his pants this morning. The wolf hopped into the shower allowing the water to wash down over his fur. As Taygo began washing himself he couldn't help but think about why he was getting excited over his friend. Taygo thought he was straight. He had a couple girlfriends in high school, however none of them lasted more than a month. The wolf's heart started pounding at the thought he might actually be attracted to his best friend. Taygo stood in the water very still letting his thoughts be mulled over in his head. Taygo snapped out of his thoughts and set his worries aside as best as he could as he finished lathering up his body with soap. The warm water seemed to calm him as he took deep breaths trying to forget his thoughts.
Thirty minutes later the wet grey wolf hopped out of the shower and began drying his naked form. Taygo stood in front of the mirror as he gave his fur a quick brush over. As he stood there he looked at his body. It was a very average wolf's body with the exception of his calf muscles which were in good shape from bike riding frequently. Taygo finished up brushing and put on his clothes. The wolf arrived back at the room and sat on the bed as he finished brushing his head next to Alikai who was occupied watching television. The large lion reached over mid brush stroke and stole the brush from Taygo and brushed his mane. Taygo punched his best friend in the leg playfully and stood up from the bed.
"Are you ready to go roller-skating? I'm ready to go!" said the wolf eagerly.
"Yeah of course! Let's rock it!" said the lion as he turned off the television and hopped up. They walked downstairs and saw the lion's mother sitting at the kitchen table watching a program of some sort while eating some toast.
"Where are you two boys rushing off too?" asked Alikai's mother as she took a bite into her toast with a crunch.
"The skating rink, we'll be back later mom." replied Alikai.
"Oh alright, well you two have fun! Do you need some money?" asked the mother.
"We were just going to pay for it ourselves, but yeah that would be great mom! Thanks!" said the lion as he walked over to his mom who was rolling her eyes as she handed him two twenty dollar bills.
"Here you are. Buy yourselves a snack since you'll be there for a while knowing you two. Have a good time! Just be home for dinner." said the beautiful lioness as she turned around and continued watching her show while finishing her toast. The two boys headed out the backdoor to the backyard to grab their bikes since the rink was only about a mile away. Alikai grabbed his bike from the backyard and Taygo unlocked his bike from the fence. The two sped off towards the roller rink racing each other all the way there.
The two arrived at the rink within a few minutes and they locked up their bikes on the bike rack that was by the entrance to the roller rink. The roller rink looked so much better than it used to. The exterior looked like the large warehouse it always had, but it was repainted black and it had a bunch of flashy neon lights covering the building.
"They definitely worked up the place quite a bit, eh Taygo? Let's go see what's going on inside! I can't wait and see!" said the teenage lion animatedly.
"All right, let's check it out!" said Taygo as he walked up the front pavement ramp with Alikai right behind him. The two walked in through the front glass doors into the somewhat dark inside that was illuminated by neon lights, glow in the dark stickers all along the wall, and an oval of a rink that was larger than they remembered it being. The techno music boomed loudly pumping the two best friends up for an afternoon of fun. They walked up into line that had about ten people ahead of them as they took in the sights and sounds of the new skating rink.
Eventually they were at the gate and they bought two tickets for themselves and they walked down to where the small lockers were and down to the counter to rent some rollerblades. They exchanged their shoes for the rollerblades and had their rollerblades firmly on their feet within minutes. The two best friends looked at each other then nodded readily as they stood up and both agreed to show the amateurs that were meandering slowly around the rink how it was down. They sped in through the entrance and onto the smooth hard wood of the roller rink floor moving past everyone including the one staff there whose job it was to make sure things don't get out of hand.
The two whizzed around the rink for a few hours laughing whenever a little one fell, and being more than happy to skate over and assist the young offspring up and show them how to skate a little better. The two were racing along the walls of the rink with the air rushing past their ears. Taygo looked over at his best friend smiling at the rush of skating fast.
"I am getting a little hungry, you want to go get some food?" asked Alikai as he came to a halt at the large seating area that was placed in the center of the rink where the food bar was.
Taygo nodded and followed the lion into the center and they skated over to a booth and sat down on the comfy leather seats facing each other. A couple minutes later a skinny red male fox who had a white stripe marking down the left side of his face wearing his black shirt that said "staff" across it came up to the booth and took our orders for a large plate of nachos and some soda. The canine and feline friends talked about the skating rink and all of the new changes they liked until the food arrived hot at their table. The smell of the cheese, salsa, steak, and numerous other scents filled their noses making their hunger stronger.
In a matter of minute they had finished the large platter of nachos that looked like it could have fed a small army. The two paid their bill and then headed back out onto the roller rink floor for some more fun. They continued going around occasionally dancing to whatever music the DJ was playing as they dashed past all of the other skaters. Eventually they decided to try their hands at some videogames which were located along the edges of the rink.
After killing zombies, aliens, hostiles and every other manner of thing on the videogames, the two decided it would be a good time to head back as the hour was getting close to dinner time at Alikai's house. The pair skated up to the counter and gave back the rental skates and grabbed their things. Taygo ended up racing Alikai back home and beating the lion back to his house leaving them both panting when they walked in through the back door. Alikai's mother was by the stove fixing something delicious no doubt and they were not disappointed when the smell reached their noses.
"I hope you too didn't eat so much that you won't be hungry for a week, I have seen the way you two woof down those nachos that you love ordering." said the lioness as she was stirring some sort of sauce in a pot with some pasta boiling.
The two teenagers felt their stomachs were still a bit full but they had no doubt that they would be able to eat some dinner being the hungry teenagers that they are.
"We can eat some food mom, don't worry." said Alikai as the two began walking out of the kitchen leaving the change on the table for Alikai's mother. "I need a shower after skating so hard, when will dinner be ready?"
"In about half an hour, but go ahead and please shower!" said Alikai's mom chuckling.
"I'll take one too, I need one as well." said Taygo as they both began running up the stairs. Taygo once again hopped up onto Alikai's bed and turned on the game console and began playing while Alikai was getting undressed down to his boxers. Taygo was trying to concentrate on the game, but he felt suddenly distracted when he saw his old friend standing there with his muscles clearly showing and he could see the bulge in his boxers where the lion's genitals were. Taygo looked down and saw a wet spot on the top of his pants. He nervously pulled a pillow over his own crotch. Taygo began hating himself for being turned on by his best friend. It was infuriating to Taygo because he felt so confused. He always thought of himself as straight, and yet now as he sat there covered up because he was so wet with precum from watching another male made him lash out at himself inside his head. Taygo looked back up towards where his friend was and saw that he had already left the room and he could hear him padding down the hall towards the bathroom. Taygo lifted the pillow up from his lap and started hitting himself in the head with it, not at all caring that his character on the game had been killed.
In the bathroom Alikai was lathering up his body cleaning the sweat off from skating so hard. Alikai had a great time, and yet something was bothering him. He knew something was going on with his best friend. Alikai could always tell. He has never even needed any sort of signs; it was something inside him telling him something was wrong. Alikai opened the glass shower door and stepped onto the navy blue woolen mat and dried his hind legs off and grabbed his towel off the rack and dried his mane. Alikai shook his body to get the last drips of water off, splattering water all over the bathroom. As Alikai finished drying off his mane, he grabbed his brush and began going through his mane. His thoughts were in a frenzy, trying to figure out what it was that was bothering Taygo. The lion knew it must be something serious, because Taygo was always so willing to tell him anything. Alikai decided that Taygo would tell him when he was ready.
Alikai pulled on some clean clothes and headed back to the bedroom. As he walked in he saw Taygo sitting slumped over on his bed just resting, but at the same time looking slightly depressed. The lion walked up next to him and grabbed a pillow and hit his friend in the chest with it.
"Hey mutt! Shower time for you boy, I don't need you stinking up my room tonight!" said Alikai laughing. Taygo smiled back at his friend and hopped up off the bed and grabbed some clothes from his drawer in the dresser. He walked out of the room pulling on the lion's whisker to distract him from his game that he was quick to begin playing and scurried quickly out of the room.
Taygo took his shower cleaning thoroughly his fur, mulling things over in his head. He didn't understand these feeling that seemed to be rising up suddenly. They have been best friends for years. He didn't understand if this was sudden... or maybe it was something he had always had in the back of his head. He ran his claws deep into his fur cleaning himself well, then he pulled back his sheath revealing his pink wolfhood and cleaned the shaft. He washed off the precum that had built up before and let his shaft slide back into its sheath. Taygo gave a heavy sigh and said aloud "What am I going to do?" The wolf finished washing his fur and stepped out and dried himself off.
He quickly dressed himself figuring that dinner time would soon be at hand. He walked down to the room and sat next to Alikai watching him assassinate some guards. Moments later Taygo was right; they heard Alikai's mother calling up the stairs that dinner was ready. They tried pushing each other out of the way playfully to get downstairs first. They reached the dinner table where Alikai's parents were sitting getting ready to eat their enormous portions of chicken alfredo. Alikai and Taygo each had very large helpings and in no time they had devoured their delicious meals. Despite having had a large platter of nachos, Alikai's mother knew they could always eat more.
"You two act like you haven't eaten all day!" said the lioness as she casually took another bite off her fork elegantly and the father sitting at the head of the table laughed, seeming like he needed a laugh after the long day of work.
"We made room." joked Taygo as he downed his drink. Alikai laughed at his remark because somehow it was true enough. The two washed their plates and then headed back upstairs to decide what was in store for them next.
"Let's see, we can catch a movie, or rent one, or watch something we already have here." said Alikai casually as he sat on his bed. Taygo flipped through the box of movies and found nothing that he felt like watching so he hopped up onto his pads and pulled Alikai off of the bed by his arm.
"Let's go rent a movie because it will give us the good bike ride there and then we can return back and enjoy the movie while relaxing again." said the wolf as he started heading towards the door. Alikai rolled his eyes, " Like we haven't had enough exercise today!" and caught up with the fast moving Taygo and raced down the stairs and slowed down as they passed Alikai's parents. "We're off to rent a movie Mr. and Mrs. Laris." said Taygo as Alikai and him walked out the back door again and grabbed their bikes and walked them towards the sidewalk before hopping onto them and pedaling their way to the video rental store.
They casually biked for about 20 minutes until they pulled up to the glowing front of the video store and locked up their bikes outside. They headed inside and waved to the familiar workers since they rented movies so frequently together. They began searching through the wall of new releases and found an action movie that sparked their interest and checked out at the front desk. They left and began their journey pedaling home.
They arrived back home noticing the red and blue lights of a police cruiser parked out front. Taygo and Alikai stared forward at the house as they saw Alikai's parents talking to two police officers; the look on Mrs. Laris's face was one of devastation. Her eyes seemed full of worry, she saw the two boys and walked behind her husband, retreating into the house. The tall mountain lion officers looked over at the boys who had left their bikes out front as they walked towards the luminous stoop that was lit by a dull light. The officers turned around holding their hats under their arms and padded forward towards the two teen males. One patted Taygo on the shoulder and said sorrowfully "I am so sorry..." and with that they left his side and headed towards their police cruiser. They hopped in leaving Taygo and Alikai unsure of what happened. Taygo watched them take off down the quiet street that was lit by a few street lamps. Taygo whisked around, his fur swishing as he did so, looking up to Mr. Laris, searching his facial expression for an answer.
Mr. Laris replied by saying " Come inside boys, I need to discuss something with you Taygo." He said, his eyes seemed glassy as he finished his sentence.
