Made for Kiramino
It'd been a long day at work as Harikamaru made his way home. His boss had yelled at him for being late. His secretary didn't show up for work so he'd missed a bunch of important meetings. And all his co-workers were talking behind his back about his sexuality. Yes, Harikimaru is gay, but he couldn't care less because he loved his mate, Kiramino, with all his heart.
So now he was on his way home to see his loving mate. He was just pulling up in the driveway when he remembered something. Their anniversary was today and his heart swelled with love. But then a terrible chill swept over his body. He had forgot about their anniversary and hadn't planned anything.
"Oh crap", he said aloud, "How could I forget that?"
"Forget what?" Kiramino said as he approached his mate's car with a loving smile and a questioning look.
"Oh nothing" Harikamaru said as he stepped out of his car. Harikamaru is a 5'10 dark black wolf. A very prominent scar above his right eye. Slightly muscled and well-toned body. Blue eyes that were so deep you could drown in their color. And Kiramino loved him with everything he had.
Kiramino on the other hand is a gray and white wolf who normally is seen wearing nothing but jeans and an unbuttoned gray dress shirt. A few stray pieces of hair tend to hang over his right eye. I think it is so cute but he is annoyed by it.
"So how was work?" Kiramino asked Harikamaru as they walked toward the house.
"Wonderful" Harikamaru said, his voice heavy with sarcasm.
"That bad, huh?" Kiramino laughed.
"Just as bad as every other day" Harikamaru said, letting out a breath of air that felt like he'd been holding in all day.
Something about Kiramino always seemed to relax Harikamaru. Whenever he felt really stressed, all he had to do was think of Kiramino and the stress would be gone. A calm, balanced feeling replacing it.
But today the stress didn't leave. It became worse from seeing Kiramino. What would he say if he knew he had forgot about their anniversary? Would he cry and run away? Would he hate me for the rest of my life? I wouldn't be able to take him breaking up with me just because I forgot our anniversary.
So when they were inside and Kiramino had gone to start fixing dinner, Harikamaru went online to search for local vacation places. And the one that caught his eye was the beach.
At dinner Harikamaru announced that they were going to the beach.
"The beach!" Kiramino said happily "I love the beach"
"Great, then were going after dinner" Harikamaru said "You better get ready"
"Okay, yay!!!" Kiramino squealed.
So when dinner was finished and the dishes were cleaned, Harikamaru and Kiramino got into the car and drove to the beach. Kiramino could barely sit still while they were driving.
Finally the ocean came into view. The great blue waves now a reddish-purple from the reflection of the setting sun. The seagulls pecking at the clams that floats onto shore from the tide coming in. The smell of sea salt and Kiramino's scent wafting in the air. The cool breeze blowing through our fur.
"It's beautiful" Kiramino said "Absolutely breathtaking"
"Ya, it is." Harikamaru agreed "A perfect night"
"Perfect night for what?" Kiramino asked.
"For our anniversary of course" Harikamaru exclaimed, "You didn't forget, did you?"
"No, of course not. I would never do that."
"You did, didn't you?"
"Not on purpose" Kiramino said quickly.
"It's okay" Harikamaru said calmingly "I did too. I just thought of the beach during dinner."
"Really?"
"Yes" Harikamaru said.
"Well, it was a great thing to think of. I love it." Kiramino said happily.
"Let's take a walk, shall we?" Harikamaru suggested.
"Alright. Let's take a walk" Kiramino agreed.
So the two wolves set off down the beach, their paws leaving a trail of paw prints behind them. The seagulls flying away as they approached. The whole world seeming to slow down as the couple enjoyed the sunset.
After a few minutes, the couple decided to take a seat on a grassy hill overlooking the beach. The sun starting to sink below the surface of the water. The sky growing darker, and the stars appearing to light up the dark night. The full moon looked so big from where they sat. No idea how long the couple sat there on that hill. Cuddling and kissing each other till the moon was right above them. Then the couple headed back to their car to return home. As they both reached the car, Kiramino turned and said, "I love you, Harikamaru."
"I love you too, Kiramino." Harikamaru said softly back to him.
And so the couple returned home and continued to cuddle and kiss each other for the remainder of the night and most of the morning. Their love for eachother strong and apparent. The flames of their love burning bright and hot. Never to dim or be extinguish, forever in love.
