**A My Hero Academia Fanfiction:

To Date a Villain** _by RVasil

In a world where Quirks were everything and being a superhero was a job, there were still the normal folk who lived comparatively mundane lives. Office salarymen and women who woke up everyday to get back into the grind to make a living. Some walked down the streets, a brewed cup of coffee in one hand and a briefcase at the other, heading towards the nearest train station to get to their destination. Early blue collar workers were finishing up their quick breakfast to begin work for the day: loading up cargo onto a truck to get their deliveries sorted out. Small family owned businesses would have their owners cleaning the front of the shop to make it presentable to any customers that would be arriving by noon.

Any go getter would be up bright and early to get started on the day.

The owner of the Dragon's Den Cafe wasn't any different. Up at the second floor of the small building, an alarm clock lightly blared signalling the beginning of a new day. One of the bodies underneath the covers of the bed began to stir. A hand appeared and lightly traced the sides of the nightstand. It made its way to the top, feeling around for the source of the commotion to try and hit the snooze button on the alarm clock. With a light tap, silence filled the room once more but was eventually replaced with a light groan.

Kaio sat upright, swinging his legs to the side of the bed whilst rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He let out a light yawn, taking a glance back at the clock that was now just quietly showing the time. It was 6 AM in the morning on a bright sunny day. Kaio was about to stand when he felt a hand snake its way from underneath the covers to rest on his thigh.

"...Where...going...?"

"I," Kaio said, turning his head to look at his boyfriend, Shuichi. The green lizard had his eyes closed, his head resting peacefully on the soft pillows. "Have to go to work." Kaio felt another yawn coming to him.

Kaio was going to stand up when Shuichi's hand lightly grabbed at Kaio's right hand. Shuichi's voice came out low, probably from how much his throat was parched. "Stay."

"I can't. I have a shipment of coffee beans getting delivered today so I have to make sure that the storage closet is cleaned and ready for it."

Shuichi opened a sleepy eye. His face contorted to a light pout. "That can wait. Stay in bed with me."

Kaio rolled his eyes. He never imagined that having a boyfriend would be the greatest challenge he would ever face in his life. That's not even accounting for the fact that his boyfriend was secretly a villain sought after by the authorities. It was a complicated relationship and Kaio himself was well aware of what he was getting himself into. He knew it was dangerous for someone like him to be associated with Shuichi, but there was something about the man that drew him. It was the same reason that was making him hesitate leaving his boyfriend in bed.

Kaio had to use every fiber of self discipline he honed throughout the years to decide to go to work. Work was important! That storage closet wasn't going to clean itself. He had a job to do and he wasn't keen on burning daylight. Unfortunately for him however, Shuichi wasn't taking no for an answer. With a light tug, Kaio found himself pulled back into bed. His boyfriend then locked him in, wrapping his hands around him to make sure he wouldn't get away.

"Shuichi..." Kaio said, feeling half annoyed yet feeling guilty for enjoying the treatment. Shuichi's warm embrace sent a shiver down Kaio's spine, and he felt right at home. He ended up resting his head on his broad chest, feeling content to just listen to the rhythmic beat of his heart.

Shuichi remained silent, opting instead to lightly rub Kaio's back with his free hand. He then planted a kiss at the side of Kaio's cheeks. "I had fun last night," he eventually said, breaking the quiet moment a few minutes later.

Kaio began to draw circles on Shuichi's bare chest. He enjoyed tracing the definitions of the muscles on his boyfriend's body. "Me too. I'm worried though."

"Worried? About what?"

"I'm worried that we might get a noise complaint."

Shuichi's brow briefly furrowed before eventually relaxing as he let out a light chuckle. Kaio was taken aback by his response. "W-what? I'm not joking! I'm being serious!"

"I know," Shuichi said, trying to reassure him. "You worry too much." He placed a hand underneath Kaio's chin and made him look at him. "If we do get a noise complaint, I'll talk to them."

"You will?"

"I will." He then leaned in and kissed Kaio tenderly on the lips. It was short, sweet, but enough for Kaio to remember just how much 'fun' they had the night before. The memories of their escapade came flooding back to him and he felt his cheeks blush. How can someone so tender be so dangerous?

"Besides," Shuichi continued after breaking their kiss. "It's my fault anyway. I'm the one making you scream." His free hand lowered itself down to Kaio's lower back, before stopping to cup one of Kaio's bubbly asscheeks. He gave it a tender squeeze, making Kaio let out a light moan.

"I can't help it," he said bashfully. "You fuck me too good."

"That I do." Shuichi then lowered his other hand to squeeze Kaio's other buttcheek. Kaio moaned into Shuichi's ears, helping fuel his already strong morning wood. He pulled Kaio lower, nuzzling the sides of his face and giving him kisses here and there. Kaio himself was getting revved up. His buttocks still hurt from the night before, but it was a different kind of hurt. The kind of which he wanted more. He reciprocated Shuichi's actions, kissing him back and lovingly nuzzling each other. It was only when his eyes glanced at the clock did he take note of the time once again, briefly breaking him out of his bubble.

"...We shouldn't be doing this. I'm going to end up opening the shop later than normal at this rate."

Shuichi held Kaio tighter. "Then stop kissing me then."

Kaio pouted, frowning at Shuichi who was just grinning impishly at him. Both were already worked up to the point where their respective erections were grinding against one another.

"What's wrong? I thought you said you were worried about being late?" Shuichi was just laying the icing on the cake at this point.

Kaio eventually relented, exhaling frustratedly. The shop would have to wait. "Fuck me..."

Shuichi smiled. "Gladly."

Hands began to roam all over. Kaio moaned into Shuichi's ears as the latter began to shamelessly squeeze the former's buttcheeks. "Do you like how I pounded you last night?" Shuichi asked.

Kaio felt a shiver go down his spine. Shuichi was a nice charming fellow, if a bit awkward at times during social conversation. But in private, in the comfort of each other's company, he was like a different person entirely. He knew what to say and when to say it. "I did," Kaio answered. He loved it whenever Shuichi would take control the way he did.

Shuichi lovingly nuzzled the sides of Kaio's cheeks. When he spoke, Kaio could feel his hot breath washing past his ear. "Do you want me to do it again?"

Kaio could barely contain himself. His erection seemingly answered for him, throbbing happily as it grinded against Shuichi's own member. "Yes please." His answer almost came out like he was begging. Shuichi shifted the both of them and before long Kaio could feel Shuichi's cock lightly knocking at his back door. The blanket had slipped off at this point revealing the two lovers nude bodies. It was a bit cold, but it eventually didn't matter. The body heat they shared together was all that was needed. Shuichi easily inserted himself into Kaio, his cock dripping copiously from the teasing and foreplay they were doing minutes prior. He allowed his partner to relax and get used to the sensation before beginning his thrusts. Kaio found himself being gyrated back and forth like a glorified sex toy, Shuichi's cock going in and out of him with some resistance. Although they've been having sex for numerous times now, Shuichi's size was something he still couldn't get used to. Kaio's mouth formed to that of an orgasmic 'O' as Shuichi made him feel sensations that made his entire body tremble with pleasure. The thrusts were slow but steady, an action taken by a lover who wanted to enjoy the moment and make it last.

"Fuck, you're big..." Kaio cursed, his eyes closing as another jolt of pleasure shook his entire frame.

Shuichi thrust in deep, making Kaio's eyes pop open and a cry of pleasure escape from his lips. Kaio's quirk activated itself without him even knowing, the man's skin briefly flashing a bright orange. It was a sign that Kaio was experiencing happiness. Shuichi was more than eager to keep giving it to him. He wrapped his arms around his partner, holding him close and tight. His thrusts began to increase in pace, the bed beginning to rock and shake from the increase of vigor. The floorboards creaked, and the clock on the nightstand shook side to side. It didn't take long for Kaio to start crying out. Being railed by his lover wasn't what Kaio had in mind when waking up early this morning but it was definitely something he could get used to.

"Harder...please!"

That was when Kaio found himself being spun around, his back landing on the bed, his head resting on the soft pillows. Shuichi was atop him, the man having a lustful smile on his face. Without skipping a beat, Shuichi continued his thrusts once more, using the new position to get a better angle at his attack.

"Fuck!"

Shuichi grunted, feeling Kaio's backside valiantly squeeze on his cock in an effort to push him out. The pleasure was intense, and it took everything in him not to explode right then and there. Kaio was breathing heavily and sweat was dripping down the sides of his face. He clung onto Shuichi like his entire life depended on it. Each thrust sent a wave of pleasure that made his brain spin around. The pain and pleasure was making him loud once more, but before he could keep crying out, he was silenced.

Shuichi's lips pressed itself onto Kaio's, and the two lovers began to make out with one another. Tongue danced an unpracticed routine, tasting each other for what they had to offer. Throughout all of this, Shuichi's thrusts didn't stop. If anything, they increased even more. It was becoming erratic however as he himself was at his limits. He tried to hold, make this last for much longer, but it was proving to be too much of a challenge. It was Kaio who came first, breaking away from their kiss as he cried out loudly into Shuichi's ears. Hot cum blasted itself from his throbbing cock, painting his chest with his fresh fluids. It sprayed and splattered, messing up the bedsheets and joining the stains of their previous escapades.

Shuichi came soon after, emptying his entire load into him. Each grunt was accompanied with a blast of cum that launched itself into Kaio's battered backside. His thrusts soon slowed down and eventually grinded to a halt. Both were exhausted, but were flying high from the emotions of their early morning fuck. Shuichi was the first to move, easing himself off Kaio. The latter could feel the cum sloshing inside of his ass and gently leaking onto the bed.

"Ugh..." Kaio groaned, feeling his head reel from the pleasure. His entire backside felt numb, and there was a slight loss of sensation from his legs.

"That..." Shuichi said, flopping next to him on the bed. "That is how you start the day." He turned his head to look at Kaio who looked at him incredulously. "What?"

"You are such a hornball, you know that?"

Shuichi playfully shoved Kaio. "Speak for yourself. I'm not the one who is bright orange right now." True enough, Shuichi was right. Kaio's quirk had activated itself without his knowledge, revealing to the both of them that his main emotion at the current moment was joy. This immediately shifted to pink as Kaio felt embarrassed at his sudden lack of control.

"You're adorable, you know that," Shuichi teased.

Kaio huffed, trying to get his quirk in control. The color eventually dissipated, saved for the pink that was visible by his ears. A fact that Shuichi couldn't help but smile at. Kaio stood up, his legs struggling slightly as he was still recovering from their morning activity. Shuichi's cum dripped down from his ass and down the side of his legs, eventually making a small puddle on the floor. He made a mental note to clean up the mess later.

"I'm going to go shower," he said, turning his head to look at Shuichi. Shuichi's cock was at half mast, still clearly recovering. But there were already tell tale signs of it standing back up to attention. His stamina was something Kaio always admired about him.

"Can I join?" Shuichi asked, a twinkle in his eyes.

Kaio playfully stuck out his tongue at him. "Keep your hands to yourself, pervert."

"No promises."

As the entirety of the city began to rumble as the day started, heroes wandered the streets, doing their daily patrols and responding to emergencies as they happened. It could be a simple snatch and grab with a wannabe criminal down on his luck looking to make a quick buck and stealing a purse or a wallet. These were easy, and usually ended with the evildoer apprehended and handed over to the proper authorities. Others were more action packed: robberies of banks from criminals who figured working together was better than working alone. These required more effort, cooperation, and collaboration between various hero agencies to put down the organized crime.

Whilst some criminals were fueled by greed, others were purely motivated by ideology; one such group was the League of Villains. In a nondescript building, down one of the many featureless alleyways, a few blocks away from the busiest district in the city, was their hideout. Currently, two individuals from the group were present: Twice and Mr. Compress.

Twice was lounging on the couch, face buried in a manga he had bought earlier that day from the nearby convenience store. It was a shonen, and the pages had Twice glued to his seat. Across from him was Mr. Compress, a man who preferred to read something more sophisticated. The title of the light novel was plastered boldly on the cover: 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Phantom Thief. It was riveting content. Compress flipped through the pages and idly glanced at the clock they had atop the bar wall. It was already well past 9:30AM. He let out an irritated sigh, closing the good book that was in front of him.

"Twice."

"Yes?"

"Have you seen Spinner as of late?"

Twice casually flipped through another page of the manga. "No."

Compress let out a thoughtful hum. This was the fourth time Spinner was late for a meeting. Granted, it wasn't anything important. It was just them updating each other on the progress of their plans. Frankly, the meeting was unnecessary because they could just call each other on their phones, but for Compress, it was a matter of principle. He knew Spinner was anything but tardy. He normally would dismiss this as a coincidence but a pattern was beginning to form.

"Do you know where he's been for the past few days?"

"Yes." Twice let out a huff. He figured that Compress was just going to keep talking to him at this point and decided to put the manga down. "He's been spending a lot of time at the Dragon's Den Cafe. I think he has a relationship with the barista there."

Compress's brow rose. "The one a few blocks from here?"

"Uh huh." Twice's voice then shifted to one of his more frank personalities. "They're fucking!"

Compress let out a thoughtful hum. It seemed like an unspoken rule that villains like them should never have intimate relationships given who they were. Afterall, they were wanted criminals. Anyone could report them to the authorities and all their carefully laid out planning and preparation would go to waste. That is, if the person they were in a relationship with wasn't a villain themselves. While he didn't consider Spinner as someone incompetent enough to put their entire operations in jeopardy, he had reservations on what Spinner was doing, especially with how sensitive their plans were. He needed to make sure if what Spinner was doing was right. Or rather, who he was doing.

An idea popped into this head.

"Twice."

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to get some coffee?"

0 = 0 = 0 = 0 = 0 = 0

Soft music played through the speakers inside the Dragon's Den Cafe. Kaio was manning the counter, cleaning a spare glass a customer had just finished using. A few patrons were in the shop, some on their phones, whilst a few of the older folks were reading a newspaper. Even though he opened later than normal, Kaio was glad to see that the regulars made it a point to still drop by and get their usual brew of coffee.

Much like any other day, it was routine. Clean up the cafe, stock the materials into the cupboards, and make sure the playlist he had playing on the speakers was a highly rated one before opening up shop and welcoming in returning and new customers. If you were to ask Kaio directly, he'd answer that not much had changed ever since he and Shuichi started sleeping together. But it would seem Kaio's friends saw otherwise. As he idly cleaned the countertop and wiped the coffee stains with a wet rag, a memory of Kaio's conversation earlier that day popped into his head.

"You seem kind of happy," Kaio's friend commented as she was handed her order of a cappuccino.

"Am I?" Kaio asked, feeling self conscious.

His friend took a sip from her drink. "You got that...'' She then waved her hands, as if trying to magically make the word appear in front of her. "You got that glowing look on you. Did you finally stop playing videogames on your phone?"

Kaio had a bad habit of staying up late, playing gacha games on his phone. Having Shuichi around made him stop cold turkey. "I guess you could say that."

His friend continued to sip from her drink when she stopped all of a sudden. She stared at Kaio, looking at him as if seeing him in a different light entirely. "W-what is it?"

"I knew I've seen that look before. You look like the type of person who's in a happy relationship." She then perked up. "Last I checked you weren't. Did something happen?"

"No...?" Kaio hadn't revealed yet to his circle of friends that he was dating someone.

"Oh my goodness! YOU ARE!" She cried out so loud, the other patrons all turned their heads in her direction. Kaio had to shush her down to stop making such a ruckus.

"You have to tell me everything!"

Kaio rolled his eyes. It was too late now. The cat was out of the bag. "Yes, I am in a relationship. He is a very sweet guy."

His friend gasped, putting her hands on the table and stared at him with the glee of a child discovering something new. "Is he someone I know? Is he handsome?" She then leaned in and looked at him seriously. "Does he have a brother?"

"No. Yes. And I don't know," Kaio answered truthfully. "Look, we've been dating for a while now and I'm just feeling things out."

Kaio's friend nodded. "I get you. What does he do? Is he a salaryman?" Upon seeing Kaio's hesitation to answer, her mind immediately jumped to the first thing that came to her. "Is he a Licensed Hero?!"

"Uh..."

A breaking news report interrupted Kaio's recount down memory lane. He was pulled out of his thoughts and back to reality. The TV that was hung up on the wall that was earlier showing a variety show had its broadcast replaced with a news report showing a scene somewhere downtown. It showed the newscaster standing in front of the aftermath of what seemed like an epic battle. Everyone in the room was fixated on the report that soon followed. It turned out that Endeavor fought a Nomu, a strong one at that; they were inhuman like creatures that brought nothing but destruction and havoc in their wake. Kaio remembered them appearing back then, but not as devastating as they were now. Clearly they had gotten stronger over time.

Everyone in the room was visibly happy when Endeavor was briefly shown. Although battered and bruised, he looked strong and formidable, no doubt trying to live up to the mantle that was left behind by All Might. Kaio himself smiled, glad that the danger was stopped before anything serious had happened.

But then he soon realized the hypocrisy in his own enjoyment.

Here he was relieved to see Endeavor safe and sound, and yet he himself was in a relationship with Shuichi, or was more infamously known as Spinner. Spinner was a known member of the League of Villains, a group in direct conflict with the heroes. It felt wrong to be cheering for one side and then helping the other. If you had asked Kaio back then which side he supported, he would have easily said the obvious answer. But having met Shuichi, things got muddy. His mind told him what to do, and his heart conflicted with the suggestion.

Kaio purposefully didn't think much of their situation in the early days of their relationship. He was able to separate Shuichi from Spinner. But as time went on, he knew he had to make a solid decision. He was in a relationship with a villain. That was quite clear. Although he personally hadn't seen Shuichi kill, he knew for a fact that he must have at some point in his criminal career. Amidst the amazing sex and the feeling of finally having someone, he was confused? Was that even the right word? He wasn't sure if what he was doing was right. Was this some other form of Stockholm Syndrome? Well it wasn't like Shuichi was holding him hostage or something.

Thoughts like these floated in and out of Kaio's consciousness. It was what kept his mind busy whenever he didn't have customers to attend to. He couldn't believe there was a point in his life where he wished he was stressed with having to deal with customers.

As if hearing his plea, a certain pair paid his cafe a visit.

It happened during the lazy hours in the afternoon. Most of the regulars had taken off at this point, leaving Kaio by his lonesome. His mind busied itself by wondering how most of his patrons were. It was unfortunate that some were unable to get to the cafe today. He was actually looking forward to hearing, or in this case, eavesdropping on the two UA students that decided to use his cafe as a sort of place to study and hangout together. It was actually quite nice to see the two, and with his well trained eyes could see that the orange haired one was heavily crushing on his bird classmate. Teenage romance was a sight to behold. Kaio was at the counter, fiddling through his phone when he heard the door swing open and the bell ring to announce the arrival of a customer. "Good afternoon," Kaio greeted almost robotically. Doing it for hours on end does that to a person. "How can I..." his voice then trailed when his eyes registered who had arrived.

Decked out in what he assumed was the latest and greatest in Hero Costume technology, was a blue dragon. Standing tall and proud, his chest was puffed outwards and he carried himself with an aura of confidence and authority, topped with a billboard worthy smile. He was a big person, easily looking like the toughest guy in the room. The blue and yellow color scheme was easy on the eyes and it immediately informed Kaio who this person was.

"Draquatic!"

The dragon turned to face him. "Hi friend!" Although given his appearance, Draquatic was a softy at heart. Kaio knew him as one of the main heroes in the area.

"Are you out on patrol? What brings you to my humble shop?"

"I am actually. Or rather was. I decided to take a bit of a break. What better way to do it than with a nice cup of coffee." He turned his head back to look at the second person that followed after him. "D, what do you want? My treat."

'D' was the friendly nickname Draquatic gave to his companion. Kaio recognized him as Blazing Dynamo, a fellow dragon hero, decked out in the fiery red attire that evoked the essence of fire.

"Seriously?" Dynamo looked irritated. He then shook his head and his eyes glanced at the menu that was plastered above where Kaio stood. "I'll have the...Coffee Jelly."

"Make that mine as well," Draquatic added.

"I'll get right to it." Most people would have been starstruck to be in the presence of heroes. Understandably so, as most of them were also celebrities when they weren't out fighting crime and stopping villainous plots. Most had brand deals whilst others were actually cast members in a popular serial TV show. The line between hero and celebrity was beginning to blur. It was for this reason that Kaio had a distaste for heroes. However, he was smart enough to know that his opinion might have been in the minority. "So..." Kaio decided to do small talk. It wasn't often that heroes came into his shop. "How did the patrol go?"

"Oh you know how it is," Draquatic began. "Stopping some petty thieves, preventing a car crash just in the nick of time." He waved his hand dismissively. "It's another day at work."

Kaio nodded, continuing to mix the drinks they both requested. Draquatic and Dynamo sat themselves at the counter, the two idly watching him work. He offered them a courteous smile before grabbing a glass from one of the cupboards behind him.

"How about you?" Draquatic asked. His eyes glanced around, taking note of the empty cafe. The TV was playing an anime about superpowered teenagers. "Slow day at work?"

"It's so-so. I had the regulars come by earlier. It's just a slump in the hours. I'm expecting some to come by later in the afternoon," Kaio answered.

"I'm glad to hear that," Draquatic continued. "I was worried business was a bit rough."

Kaio's brow rose. "What makes you say that?"

"I heard there was a scuffle that happened the other day."

A scuffle? Kaio thought for a moment. His mind immediately reminded him of when he first met Shuichi. Shuichi had fought off some thugs who tried to make a ruckus in his humble shop. "Oh! That...well yeah, that did happen." He grimaced at them. "Thankfully it was resolved though. None of my patrons got hurt." He finished mixing up their drinks and began applying the final touches. Kaio then turned around and handed them orders. "Here you go! Two cups of Coffee Jelly."

Draquatic handed him the money to pay for the order. "Thank you so much." He then grabbed one cup and took a sip of it. His body immediately shook from the sudden onslaught of sugar. "Wow, this tastes really good!"

Dynamo nodded, happily drinking his.

Kaio went over to the cashier and began putting his income away. That was when Draquatic continued their conversation. "I have to ask: are majority of your customers regulars, or do you get new customers every now and then?"

Kaio's brow rose. That was an odd question. "Uh...I'd say the former. I get new customers sometimes, you know, the passing tourist or the businessman conducting business in this area for the day, that sort of thing. But yeah, the majority of them are just the typical regulars I have. I actually know them by face at this point." Kaio looked at them. "Why do you ask?"

Draquatic and Dynamo looked at one another. It was like a silent agreement was said between them. "To be honest, we're not here on a break. We're here on business." Business? Kaio felt his heart rate spike a little. What did the heroes want with him? He remained silent, letting Draquatic continue talking. "We've been getting reports that a certain person of interest has been visiting this shop." Draquatic then reached into his pocket. He pulled out a photograph and slid it across the table. "Do you recognize this person?"

Kaio's eyes immediately lit up upon seeing the person in the photograph. "That's...!" In that split second, time seemingly stopped as Kaio's mind raced a mile a minute. These two heroes were looking for Shuichi! How they managed to track him down to the shop was a question Kaio couldn't really take the time to ponder at the moment. Right now, he needed to focus. At the corner of Kaio's eyes he could see Dynamo perk up. Fuck! He quickly fixed his expression in the most natural way possible. He cocked his head towards the side. "Isn't that...Top?" Kaio hoped that his tone sounded convincing enough.

Kaio noted how Draquatic was looking at him. Beneath the friendly exterior, the dragon was obviously studying him. Draquatic was trying to determine whether Kaio was lying to him. Kaio offered a poker face, trying to look confused and yet at the same time calm. If he acted differently now, they'd immediately think something was up. "Spinner, actually," Draquatic corrected him. "He's a notoriously dangerous person aligned with the League of Villains. Have you been in contact with him?"

What was the right answer here? Kaio wasn't sure how well these two were at interrogation. He wasn't even sure how much they knew. If Kaio said something that contradicted what they knew for a fact, he'd be found out and it'll be all over. He needed to take things nice and slow. He figured now would be the time to use his Quirk. It allowed him to sense others emotions. Perhaps he could use it to his advantage. He was thankful that activating it was subtle and wasn't visibly obvious unless they knew where to look. His vision shifted slightly and he could see Draquatic and Dynamo get colored in the emotion that they were displaying at the moment. That was when something caught him off guard. Draquatic was colored purple but Dynamo was colored black. One was curious and the other was emotionless? What did that mean?

"N-no," Kaio answered. "I don't believe so. If I was, I probably didn't realize. I forget a thousand things everyday. This could have been one of them." He shrugged.

Draquatic let out a thoughtful hum. "I see." His purple color began to slowly shift back to normal. "Still, we just came by because we wanted to check in on the tip. It came from a very reliable source. The League is a dangerous group and we want to apprehend them as soon as possible. Do you have any idea why they'd be interested in going to this place?"

Kaio leaned on the counter. "It could be the good coffee," he remarked with a convincing smile. The fact that Kaio could lie so easily through his teeth, and have it be so convincing bothered him. This was not how he normally acted. His past self would be quite appalled at what he was doing.

And yet, he didn't feel bad.

It didn't feel right either.

It lied somewhere in between.

It was difficult to put into words. Ultimately, he had his reasons for keeping his relations with Shuichi a secret, And now, he was beginning to realize that he didn't care what others thought of it.

"Could be," Draquatic answered. "Thank you for being an upstanding citizen." He then pulled another thing out of his pocket. Kaio reached over and took a look at it. It was a calling card. "If anything ever comes up, don't hesitate to call that number, alright?"

Kaio nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."

Draquatic then tapped Dynamo who was quietly looking at Kaio. "Come on, we've got work to do." The two then stood up and made a beeline out the door. "Thanks for the great coffee!"

"Come back anytime."

It was later that afternoon that Kaio found himself in the company of Shuichi. The lizard was looking perkier than usual, smiling, and chatting about how his day went. He went out on some errands, saying that he needed to deliver something to some place. He never went into specifics and while a part of Kaio was curious, he had a feeling that it was probably some League business and Shuichi wasn't going to outright tell him about it.

"So like I was saying," Shuichi said, going back to the tangent he was talking about earlier. That was when the lizard noticed Kaio's apparent withdrawn demeanor. "Hello? Kaio?"

"Huh, oh, uh, yeah, yeah," Kaio nodded.

"You seem distracted. Did something happen?" Shuichi sincerely asked.

"I was just thinking."

Shuichi looked at him for a brief moment, but decided not to press any further. Instead, he handed him the bucket of popcorn he was holding with him. "Here, come on. We don't want to be late."

The two planned to watch a movie together. It was an action movie titled 'The Swift and the Frenzied', a movie that Kaio was honestly curious about watching. He had seen the trailers online, as well as the many posters that were plastered across the bus stops and the train stations. He figured it was a good way to spend some time with Shuichi as well as conveniently get his mind off of things.

Unfortunately for Kaio however the movie ended up reminding him more of his current problem. The movie's protagonist was an undercover cop doing their best to infiltrate a crime organization. Over the course of the narrative, the protagonist found themselves falling in love with the crime lifestyle and becoming good friends with the leader of the organization, even going so far as to be sympathetic to their cause. The movie ended with the cop unwilling to apprehend his criminal best friend and ultimately letting him go at the movie's finale.

Shuichi visibly enjoyed himself, his eyes loving the action set pieces and the various dangerous stunts that were on display. Kaio found it a bit amusing. Wouldn't Shuichi, a villain, be in situations as dangerous as this, if not more, if he were to ever fight a hero? It seemed the perils he faced, whenever he was out and about as Spinner, would be much more real and serious than what they were watching. The credits eventually rolled and the couple made their way out of the theater.

They made their way to the atrium when Shuichi tapped Kaio on the shoulder.

"Is everything alright?'

"Huh?" It would seem that Kaio was lost in thought once more. "Oh, uh, sorry. I was just thinking."

This time Shuichi decided to press on. "About what?"

Kaio looked at Shuichi and then sighed. "About us," he answered honestly. There was no point in lying to him.

Shuichi visibly deflated, his expression looking a bit defeated. Gone was the happy smile from his face earlier and was now replaced with someone looking hurt. "Are you thinking about our relationship?"

"I am," Kaio answered. He sat on the bench and Shuichi followed behind him. There were other people at the mall and Kaio found himself looking at them. Happy faces in happy relationships surrounded him. He envied them for they didn't have the troubles that he had. Their relationships were simpler compared to him. "I'm just...conflicted, is all." Seeing the look on Shuichi's face, Kaio opted to continue. "You're...you know, line of work, isn't exactly...the best there is, and I'm wondering on how...or...what role I play in that."

"You have no role," Shuichi responded. "I'm not asking you to be part of it."

"But I am," Kaio answered. "I know who you are, Shuichi. I know what you do. Even though I'm not helping you do whatever it is you do, I'm still helping you by not saying something about it." He shrugged. "At the very least that makes me an accomplice."

Shuichi lowered his hands and held Kaio's. He smiled earnestly. "You don't have to throw away your life for me. I'm not some charity case. I don't need your pity."

Kaio looked visibly hurt at Shuichi's statement. "I'm not." His mind went back to the movie they watched previously. While the protagonist in that movie was conflicted in his morals, he and his criminal best friend shared the same ideals. It was what made them good friends in the first place. Looking at it now, Kaio had the same view as Shuichi in regards to heroes. While the League's approach wasn't how he would have wanted things to go, they did get their message across. "I'm not dating you because I see you as someone that I can maybe 'fix'. I'm here because I find myself agreeing with you. That the world is messed up and some heroes don't deserve to be heroes. I like you because you are strong, and that you wholeheartedly believe in your cause. And to that, I will support you no matter what."

Shuichi smiled. For once in his life, he was glad that something was going in his direction for a change.

"Besides," Kaio continued. "I'm debating with myself, but I think I've already subconsciously made a decision anyway."

"What makes you say that?"

"I was visited by heroes earlier."

Shuichi perked up. His posture straightened up and he leaned in closer. "What did they want?"

"They came to the shop asking about you," Kaio answered truthfully. "Apparently you've been spotted frequenting the shop. I didn't tell them anything. Told them I wasn't sure if I had seen you or not."

"Good," Shuichi nodded. "Did they believe you?"

"I like to think I could lie convincingly if needed." He then paused. "I'm kind of worried that I'm actually good at it. Maybe it's a side effect of me being able to sense people's emotions." He then nodded. "Either way, I think they bought it." Kaio looked at Shuichi seriously. "Though what are we going to do about this?"

"We?" Shuichi asked, sounding admittedly surprised.

"Yeah," Kaio answered. "I mean, we can't have them snooping around the shop. For a pro like you, I'm surprised they managed to track you down like this." He then closed his eyes for a bit. "We may have to stop seeing each other if this keeps up."

"Are you breaking up with me?" Shuich asked jokingly.

"No! Not like that!" Kaio huffed. "You know what I mean." He glared at him. "How can you be so calm when heroes are literally knocking at your front door?"

"I'm calm because they weren't heroes."

Kaio blinked. Did he hear that right? "What? What are you talking about?"

"You met Draquatic and Dynamo right?"

"I did."

"They're not heroes."

"What are you..." Shuichi pointed to the nearby large TV screen that was playing a commercial that conveniently began relaying breaking news. It displayed the two heroes, Draquatic and Dynamo, as they were being interviewed by reporters. They had successfully thwarted a crime organization that was being backed by small-time villains at the next prefecture over. It was apparently a joint operation conducted as the heroes there needed the duo's help. "Wait a minute...they weren't here? Then who the hell was I talking to?"

"My companions."

Kaio perked up. "People from the...you know..."

"Yeah." Shuichi looked a bit irritated. "Admittedly they were getting a bit too nosy into my personal affairs, but they wanted to see for themselves. For the record, I didn't know either. They just told me afterwards."

"So...they checked me out? What for?"

"What do you think?"

The answer came to Kaio soon after. It was obvious. "...Did I pass?"

"If you didn't, there would have been hell raised."

Kaio visibly deflated into a ball of relief. "I knew there was something weird when I looked at that hero and saw nothing but emptiness." He then wiped the nonexistent sweat off the top of his brow. "I guess this is good news then. That and it only proves how serious I was. I really meant it when I said your secret is safe with me." His expression then shifted into a more serious tone. "Are you sure you're okay? Dating just a civilian like me, that is."

Shuichi paused, trying to find the right words to answer Kaio's question. "I don't know how things will end or turn out. I understand it probably is a risk having you in my life, but you are worth it Kaio." He then moved closer, planting a kiss on Kaio's lips. Kaio happily accepted it, enjoying the brief but gentle peck on the lips. Shuichi then continued, saying, "You are worth it to me. If they didn't like you, I don't know what I would have done. Talking it out would definitely be at the bottom of things I would do." He offered a warm smile, Shuichi's hand holding Kaio's tightly. "Now come on, let's go back to your place."

"Right behind you."

The trip back was quick and uneventful. Kaio looked visibly happier now, finally free from the troubles that were bothering him for the entirety of the day. The two eventually arrived at the Dragon's Den Cafe, going through the back door and making their way up the stairs. It didn't take long until they arrived at the bedroom door when Kaio found himself pressed against the wall, being kissed heavily by Shuichi.

Hands roamed all over, the two lovers hungry for one another. Kaio melted into Shuichi's kiss, his free hand trying desperately to find the doorknob. He eventually found it, turning it open with the two nearly tumbling into the room. Without skipping a beat, they were back at each other's throats, this time their hands desperately removing their respective clothing. Clothes were thrown all over the room haphazardly. Shuichi's hands massaged Kaio's body, taking note of how his partner's physique was comparatively softer than his. Shuichi was a trained killer and Kaio was just an ordinary barista. It was a stark contrast. But what Shuichi did love was Kaio smelled. It was probably due in part with him working all day in the shop, but Kaio smelled faintly of grounded coffee beans. The earthy aroma tingled Shuichi's nostrils, and it mixed in perfectly with Kaio's natural scent, making him irresistible for him. Shuichi took the dominant role, taking the lead of their escapade for the evening. He began planting kisses on Kaio's bare chest, each one making Kaio groan. He continued going lower and lower, loving how Kaio seemingly squirmed with each kiss he did. Shuichi loved seeing Kaio react like this. He always found it cute, especially when he let out a light yelp the moment his mouth reached the base of his crotch.

Kaio was already hard and firm, a modestly average erection that would please any partner Kaio ever laid with. Shuichi's stuck his tongue out, teasingly licking at Kaio's cock. The man let out a light gasp, visibly flinching at the prehensile tongue that made contact. Shuichi then continued, beginning to lap at the base before slowly moving upwards. His hot breath washed over Kaio's skin adding more to the sensualness of the situation. Shuichi got to Kaio's tip, and began swirling his tongue around to wring out the pre that was slowly beginning to leak out.

Kaio inhaled sharply, his legs bucking slightly as Shuichi seemingly played with him. He cried out the moment Shuichi took his cock in his mouth. Slow slurping sounds emanated from the room, his heart beating rapidly in his chest. It wasn't often that Shuichi gave him a blowjob, but whenever he did, it was amazing. The way Shuichi used his tongue to caress his erection was unlike anything he ever experienced before in his life. Kaio always thought that the novelty would eventually wear off but it never did. It always felt mind blowing. It left him breathing heavily, slowly feeling his balls rising as he began to reach his limit. Whenever Kaio was about to reach that edge, Shuichi would masterfully stop, opting instead to fondle Kaio's balls and licking that instead to calm him down. The cycle would then restart with Shuichi sucking him off once more. For Kaio this felt like an eternity. It got to a point where he was leaking pre copiously and his entire cock was drenched in it. It made him desperate for release. It culminated in Kaio wanting to take the situation into his own hands and going so far to try and jerk himself off to release. But before he could do so, Shuichi stopped him.

"No," he said firmly. "Trust me."

Kaio pouted, but eventually relented. Shuichi was purposefully edging him. While he understood what the underlying reason was, it was ultimately a pain in the ass. Speaking of which, that was what Shuichi targeted next. He had Kaio lift his legs up, and with a bit of support he was able to do so with ease. A pink puckered hole greeted Shuichi, ready to get pounded for the evening. Kaio was about to reach for the lube that was placed in the night stand when he felt a warm sensation on his ass.

"S-Shuichi?"

Shuichi didn't answer but instead decided to let his action speak on his behalf. He leaned forward, planting his lips firmly on Kaio's cute butthole. Kaio shivered, the sensation feeling foreign yet enticing. Kaio held his breath as he felt Shuichi's tongue made contact at his entrance. He leaned back, doing his best to control his breathing and hold his legs in place for Shuichi to gain easier access. Shuichi briefly stopped, making Kaio wonder what was wrong.

"Kaio, look at me," Shuichi said commandingly. Kaio nodded, taking a gulp. Shuichi wanted him to watch. The two made direct eye contact as Shuichi began to tantalizingly make out with Kaio's backside. It felt awkward in some ways, but Kaio stayed firm. The way Shuichi looked at him as his tongue lapped at his ass made it hard for him to look away. Kaio groaned as he felt Shuichi's tongue dig inwards. It circled around, lapping up the corners of his entrance and spreading him open in preparation for what was to come next. A sloppy kiss here and a gentle thrust of his tongue there, it left Kaio's legs squirming as it made him feel sensations he hadn't felt before. It was electric. His ass quivered, the tongue's assault relentless and unforgiving. He wasn't sure it was pleasurable just yet, but he wanted more. However, Shuichi had other plans.

"I think you're ready," Shuichi said, grabbing hold of both of Kaio's hands. Kaio pouted but allowed Shuichi to take control. He himself could see Shuichi already hard, his erection having been left unattended this entire time. The man climbed onto the bed as he pushed Kaio's feet upwards to expose his lower half to him. Shuichi's free hands clasped with Kaio's, making his partner raise both his hands up with him. Shuichi then aligned himself with the tight hole and pushed forward. The look on Kaio's face was enough to tell Shuichi that the buildup was all worth it.

A barrage of colors briefly flashed on Kaio's body as he made contact: surprise, excitement, and happiness. It was like scratching an itch that was torturing him for so long. Kaio cried out, his mouth shaped into a perfect 'O'. His grip tightened, the whites showing on his bare knuckles. After taking a moment to adjust, Shuichi began his thrusts. It was slow and steady. The bed itself slightly creaked with the weight of the two people on it. The floorboards groaned as the bed posts moved ever so slightly with the lateral motion. Shuichi wanted to savor this connection he had with Kaio. Kaio himself wasn't in any rush. He wanted this to last himself as well. Each thrust was hitting him at the right part and it sent his vision into a slight blur that took a moment to clarify. Kaio could see stars briefly before being replaced by the face of his lover.

Shuichi leaned in, tenderly kissing Kaio on the lips. Kaio returned the favor, kissing him back in turn.

The two eventually broke off, Shuichi and Kaio breathing heavily against one another. It was at that moment that Shuichi spoke and broke the brief silence. "I...I love you."

Kaio's response came out faster than his brain could process it. "I l-love you too."

It was three simple words. But they were enough.

Like a fire being lit inside him, Shuichi continued his thrusts once again, earning the loving moans from Kaio. Throughout their entire time together, they had never said the three words until now. Neither wanted to say it too early for fear of jumping the gun. But now? It seemed like the perfect time to acknowledge it. They did love each other, plain and simple. Shuichi loved Kaio enough to risk it all. Being a villain hounded by the authorities, being out and about in public was the last thing he should be doing. But he risked it to see the man. Kaio meanwhile was the same. He could very well be the one person that can single handedly stop the League of Villains by betraying Shuichi's trust and exposing him to the heroes. But he didn't. He had made up his mind. This was where he wanted to be, and if he was going to go down as Shuichi's accomplice then so be it.

He would rather do it for the person he loved.

As much as they wanted it to last forever, their moment came to an end. Shuichi was reaching his limit, and Kaio himself was at the very brink after being teased throughout the entirety of it. His balls ached and he wanted nothing more than that final push to toss him over the edge. Shuichi was more than happy to give him that and more, pushing in as hard as he could for one last time and grunting heavily as his body emptied into Kaio. Ropes upon ropes of hot cum ejaculated from him and into Kaio's now battered backside. Kaio himself reached his peak, his balls tightening before his cock ejaculated onto his and Shuichi's chest, making a mess of things. The two were lost in that brief moment of time, their hearts seemingly in sync. It wasn't as hectic as their usual sexual escapades, but there was a time for everything. Eventually, Shuichi pulled out, the excess cum dripping down the sides of Kaio's legs. It even soiled the bed sheets. Shuichi made a mental note to help with the laundry. The two opted to cuddle in bed, with Kaio spooning his partner from behind. He rested his head on the soft pillow, using his free hand to stroke Shuichi's purple hair. It wasn't wild and loud, a stark contrast to how he interacted with Shuichi on a daily basis. The latter felt content to just feel the warmth that radiated from Kaio's naked body. He wasn't going to outright admit it, but he would happily lay there to just let Kaio comb through his air.

Thoughts briefly came and went into Kaio's head. Aimless musings of the day and some fueled by the sexual afterglow of what they just did. One stuck in particular to him that prompted him to ask.

"Shuichi?"

"Yeah?" He turned his body around to face his lover.

"Have you ever wondered what you would be doing if you weren't a villain?"

Shuichi blinked. "Uh..." He thought for a moment, idly tapping the bottom of his chin. "I suppose I have thought about that."

"What would it be then?"

Shuichi paused. Kaio could see that he was heavily discussing with himself whether to divulge the information or not. Eventually he relented, then shyly answered, "a musician."

"You can play instruments?"

"I've dabbled in learning the guitar. Why do you ask?"

Kaio shrugged. "I was just curious. Would you ever consider playing for me one of these days?"

Shuichi looked at Kaio. He then leaned forward and met his lips with his. It was a short, brief kiss. He then pulled away and smiled. "I'd be happy too."
