Kobalt used his thick tail to close the side door to the house he shared with his micro roommate, seeing as his hands were occupied by holding onto a cake box. The buckaroo carried the cardboard and cellophane container to the kitchen table and set it down, smiling at the little colorful curls of vanilla buttercream visible through the clear top.

The hybrid shifted his weight, turning his head. "Now, where's Cody...?" He strode out of the kitchen and headed for the living room, ears perked for any sounds that might indicate the stoat was about.

A few moments after Kobalt had left the kitchen entirely; Cody leapt from the seat of one of the chairs at the table and scrabbled at its edge. After a few moments, he got himself onto the tabletop, staring at the, to him, quite large box. It would have housed a whole bedroom if a house was built to his scale. The micro stoat looked around, ears perked up to listen for his roommate having heard his struggle.

At the silence he received, the mustelid slinked his way over to the box, walking around it to identify what side it opened from. Once he found the spot that the cardboard hooked onto itself with cutouts, he carefully bent the thin material and got his paws under the rim. He had plenty of practice using his entire body to lift large things, the size he was.

He felt a slight suction pulling along his fingers as he forced the semi-sealed interior to expand. This continued until he'd lifted the lid enough that there was a wide enough opening for air to travel through more easily. Cody had the lid held up over his head and glanced around, trying to determine the best way in.

With a hop, he threw the lid as hard as he could, sending it on a high arc all the way to the table on the far side. From its construction, the hinge of the box fell open, leaving the lid upside down on the table, nearly the same size as the bottom of the box.

The stoat snuck around to where the box lay open and found a gap in the box's flaps, an unobscured view of the cake through it. The micro slipped through, a mischievous grin plastered across his muzzle. Carefully, he walked around the inside of the box to get to the back, thinking about the angle that Kobalt would come at his confection.

Cody found his spot and dove right into the buttercream with a wet splat. The mustelid had aimed properly, or so he thought. He sank right in between two layers of sponge, soft and heavy like sweet mattresses, even as he got coated in the vanilla cream. With careful wriggling, he got his whole body inside, panting heavily, and slumped.

He had planned to burst out of the cake to surprise Kobalt, but he'd worn himself out quite a bit so far. Maybe the big guy wouldn't come back for the cake any time soon.

As he was thinking that, Kobalt returned. He paused in the doorway, tilting his head. He couldn't remember if he'd opened the box himself. He didn't ponder on it long, shrugging to himself. After failing to find his roommate, he figured he'd just start in on the cake.

The buckaroo got himself a butter knife, likely fine for splitting buttercream and soft sponge, and approached the cake from the direction the lid flopped open. He pulled the flaps of the box open for even better access, before he started to press the blunt blade in.

Inside the cake, Cody perked as he felt the sponge above him shift slightly when he hadn't moved. It pulled a bit to one side, and again to the other. It was now or never to pop out the top to surprise his roommate! The mustelid tried to ball himself up to get leverage to push upward through the sponge, but he was still too worn out from his infiltration in the first place.

Then, he felt gravity shift, his eyes widening in the dark.

Kobalt had balanced the slice from the back of the cake on the flat of the butter knife, licking his lips. Unceremoniously he gaped his jaws and stuffed the whole slice into his face. His blunt herbivorous teeth came crashing down on the edges of the cake, his tongue pushing up on the lower layer of sponge as he brought his lips together to start breaking up the sweet treat to prepare to swallow.

With the increased pressure and the feeling of the sponges breaking up around him, Cody squirmed about, trying to get his bearings. Wet mushy sounds filled his ears, interspersed with a very familiar voice 'mmmm'ing in appreciation of the flavors. He felt the sponge beneath him finally split apart with the tongue's movements and he fell through onto the big muscle.

The buckaroo's eyes widened as he felt something much more solid than a cake and tasting of s'mores on his tongue. His eyelids relaxed as a smirk curled up the corners of his mouth. He started to curl and squeeze that little form, the mystery of where his roommate had gone off to quite well solved.

The stoat squeaked, flustered as the familiar sensation of getting rolled and tossed inside his larger roommate's jaws was mixed with the half-chewed cake and melting buttercream. He bashfully wondered if the motions were trying to wrap the cake back around him or if the hybrid was doing that accidentally.

Either way, a nice large bolus of cake with a Cody core dropped off the back of Kobalt's tongue. He trailed his fingers over his throat as a thick round lump distended his neck for a moment. Swallowing firmly, he sent all that had entered his mouth to its logical destination. The buckaroo sighed a bit, swaying his thick tail. Nice part of having an indigestible roommate was that it was no worry swallowing him to his heart's content.

As the stomach walls began to work at the mass of baked good and buttercream, the stoat broke free. He worked himself up on top of the mess with a soft groan, a dumb bashful smile painted across his muzzle in the dark.

Twirling the butter knife between his fingers, Kobalt looked down at the cake. "I know I just had a delightful surprise in the last slice, but I want another already~" He spoke quite pointedly as he started to cut into the vanilla buttercream again.

Cody blushed deeper at the voice resonating all around him. He normally spent time in his roommate's stomach when it was empty, but the mushy mess was all up in his fur. Well, partially because he'd climbed in in the first place. He was surprised how much he was enjoying this.

With a plate stacked high with a few more slices of cake, the hybrid casually walked out of the kitchen, licking his lips. "If you wanted into your bed so bad you only had to ask, Cody. Didn't need to hide yourself in my food like you were trying to give me a nasty pill." He cut a hunk off of one of the slices and shoveled it into his mouth, squishing the sponge flat to his palate before swallowing again.

The micro stoat squeaked, his face practically glowing with his blush as the motion of his roommate tossed a wave of half-digested cake up over him. He squirmed and pushed his way back to the surface, only for more cake to fall into the stomach on top of him. It would be a long day indeed.
