#1 of The wild Rose.

Once upon a time, in a world inhabited by peculiar citizens, there were two continents,

the western continent and the eastern continent. The western continent is inhabited by two races: the felines and the snakes. The eastern continent is inhabited by two other races: the foxes and the rats, or Kitsunes and Nezumis.

The western continent was at peace, while the eastern one was at constant war.

Right in the middle of those continents, there was an island. That island was a place everyone feared. It was the island of damnation.

It is surprising that in such an evolved world, with so much advanced technology, an island is still used as a natural prison. This island is yet to know that it will be the stage of many events to come...

Lily was at her home, watching tv with her baby on her lap. Lily was a feline woman, slick tail, coming out of the "tail hole" in her shirt, scaring off some flies who kept bothering her, her white hair contrasted so well with her shiny orange fur, that covered her beautiful body, not too slim, or not too tall, but still beautiful...

Her baby was called Mary after her grandmother. She was the cutest little girl, playing with her foot and sometimes looking at the tv to see the shows mom was watching.

And so they were, zapping the channels while the robots took care of dinner, cleaning and gardening. But that lazy-life is about to change.

"knock, knock" the door sounded. Lily wasn't expecting anyone. But it couldn't be a burglar because the guard robot didn't allow anyone in but the ones in the guest list...

Lily put down the baby on the couch, and rushed to the door. Looking by the peep-hole, she saw her husband's black hair. He was so short his face wouldn't be high enough as the peep-hole.

"Is that you dear?"she asked.

"Yeah, i got out of work earlier! Let me in! I forgot the keycard!"she heard, his voice was clouded because of the thickness of the door. Lily looked at the keycard holders at the nearby wall. Both keycards were hanging there, so he did forgot it. She grabbed one and went to open the door.

"Hello dear!" Rufus said, coming inside the house, covered by his oversized coat, his face covered by his huge, detective looking hat. Lily bent to be at his height and kissed him.

It felt wierd doing that before six o' clock though...

"Why did they let you out of work earlier? That's not like your boss..."Lily asked Rufus, untrutstful.

"That's the big surprise."he said"I got promoted!" Rufus sounded not happy at all. Lily couldn't see his face because he was handing his coat to the robot in the hall.

"You don't sound happy dear, didn't you get promoted?"

"Yeah, i did."when he turned back to her she could see the man she loved, black fur, square glasses, very short little cat!"They called me to theyr office and said:From now on, you will be able to do all your experiments without us on your back, like obstacles to your greatness"

"Well, what does that really mean dear?"Lily questioned, afraid of the answer.

Rufus breathed deeply and soundly, with a very angry look on his face, ignoring her question and heading upstairs.

"Dear, wait!"she shouted. Lily hated when people didn't answer her!

She followed her beloved husband up the stairs and found him on the bedroom, completely layd on the bed.

"Dear, what did they mean by that? Answer me!"she replied. Lily could get nasty if she wanted to.

"They fired me! I'm jobless now." He started crying.

"Well, you can always find a new job. Or i can work!"Lily said, but already knowing what Rufus was going to say.

"No wife of mine will work!!!" he shouted, banging his fork onto the edge of the plate, throwing peas all over the floor. Noone cared.

"C'mon dear, Mary is asleep, don't make much noise!"

The tiny duster-bot hurried out of his hole and cleaned the peas. The floor was shining once again.

It was dark outside now, but the artificial lighting made everything inside brighter than during the day.

"I can get myself a job, i know i can. But all i can do is making bombs and explosives and guns..."Rufus desperatly said, feeling miserable, putting his face held in his two hands.

"Oh, I know! You could get a job as a terrorist supplier!"Lily joked. Rufus smirked. Everybody knew there were no more terrorists since the great revolution. Or it was tought that way.

Dinner went by with no more incidents, and so both of them went to sleep.

Lily woke up abruptly by a banging noise.

"What the hell was that?" Frightened she looked around. Cats used to be able to see in the dark but now they couldn't, it was a lost skill. She clapper her paw-like hande twice and the light turned on. The room was completely visible now. Her pink sheets, her oak wardrobe,

the make-up mirror and the pink cuffs they used for rough night. Looking to her side she did not see her husband.

"OH MY GOD!!! He didn't! No! He couldn't..."

She felt a damn breeze and turned instinctively to the window. It was open.

The most horrible images passed through her mind. She slowly stood up and walked slowly to the window. What could have been seconds felt like hours to her, and she felt like it took years to get to the window. Did he?

Lily put her head outside the window with her eyes closed. She didn't want to open them. But she did. For a fraction of second she recognised her husband's blue pajamas. She closed her eyes in terror. And dropped a tear...

She opened her eyes again. This time, to see , seven foot below her, her dead husband flat against the floor. But he was not alone. At his side there was a folded sheet she knew so well.

He did not kill just himself, but Mary too.

"Why?" Lily cried"Why, you son-of-a-bitch? Why my daughter? How could you do such a thing? I loved you, and you, you, killed yourself, and our daughter..." She sat on the floor and cried. Cried until her eyes hurt. Cried until she couldn't stand up. Cried until she fell asleep.

Once more she did not have a silent wake up. This time it was another loud noise that woke her up. Someone was shouting through a megafone outside.

" GET OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP! NOW! WE KNOW YOU'RE THERE! GET OUT IMMEDIATLY!"

"What the hell?" Lily was confused. It was the S.W.A.T. Did they mistook her with a killer?

It was a dreadful tought.

"GET OUT NOW!!!"

She stood up to the window, hair all messed up.

"WE HAVE CONFIRMED VISUAL I.D. OF SUSPECT! GET OUT NOW OR WE'LL SHOOT!"

"Wait, wait!"she shouted out to them. A strong looking cat lieutenant was holding the megafone, and hundreds more were aiming auto-rifles at her.

"TURN OFF THE GUARD-BOT NOW OR WE WILL DESTROY IT!"the lieutenant shouted at her.

"I can't! The remote's downstairs!" Lily was affliged. What could they want? Why was her a suspect? What the hell did she do?

The sun began to rise in front of her, blinding her, and when she rised her arms to block the sunlight, the S.W.A.T.s started shooting!

Fortunately, they all missed, but she knew they wouldn't cooperate now.

A loud BANG outside informed her of the destruction of the guard-bot.

"WE WILL NOW ENTER THE BUILDING. SURRENDER NOW OR WE WILL SHOOT YOU!"

"You already did!"she noted to herself. Why would she make jokes at that time?

Another loud BANG informed her of the destruction of her door. Would they pay for it once they knew she is innocent?

Apparently not.

"I hereby condemn you to life in the island of damnation! Court dismissed!" and the three hammer smacks sounded. The judge was a very old cat, very severe one too. Lily could not speak a word during the trial. She didn't at least have a lawyer.

"I'm innocent! He killed himself!" She shouted as loud as her lung let her, as she was being carried by the police officers to the naval station, where she would get a boat to that cursed island.

Two hours of trip it took, from the naval port to that island, where she was supposed to spend the rest of her life.

Completely naked, as the rules of trial applied, she was thrown to the sea, about half a mile away from the beach. With no clothes on she could feel the water acaritiate her fur, but she couldn't enjoy the moment. She was condemned for a crime she did not commit, and she wasn't happy about it. She swam to the sandlot and looked around.

"What a nice place to live..." Lily said to herself. What would be the point of not doing it, if she would turn crazy sooner or later? Maybe if she got crazy soon, she would have the guts of killing herself sooner. That island didn't seem so bad. It was actually pleasant. It had palm trees, banana trees, strawberrys growing in bushes... A rabbit or two popped out of nowhere once in a while.

She looked around the island, going inside the little forest that was part of the island.

A cave made out of rock showed itself upon her when she flipped a palm leaf out of her way.

How could a rocky cave be there?

She entered the cave thinking it was empty. It was not.

Inside that cave she could hear deep, profound breathing. Venturing herself even more into the cave, she could see a damn big rock. It wasn't covering the way in but most of it.

She contorned the rock but sunlight didn't. It was very dark in there. The breathing was even louder at that time.

She tought noone was there but then she heard a whispered, coughing voice from behind her.

"You... Please... help... me..."
