Chapter Two of Fifteen

Monday morning came and Ava was going out in the afternoon for her first job with the twins. They picked up a top tier job since they were working together now. The job was to go to go to Naples to find and kill long time kingpin, Peter Shaw. Peter alone wasn't difficult but he had a small army of body guards at his compound. That alone made this job a higher tier. With each job came a file of all the information the Black Paw would need to get the job done. How many guards, layout of buildings, things of that nature.

Ava heard her alarm go off around 8am and she turned over in bed to shut it off. Yawning loudly she pushed herself up to sit in bed.

"Boys?"

She called with a smile. Her wolves laid in their cot as always curled around each other.

"Time to wake up."

Jayden just grunted and curled tighter around his brother. Not ready to wake up. Ava got out of bed and came over to their cot. She petted both of their pointed ears smiling down at them.

"I'll make breakfast if you two wake up for me."

"Will you make your famous bacon omelets?"

Jayden's head shot up looking at her. Ava nodded running her hand under his muzzle.

"Of course but, you two have to get up."

Jayden sat up away from his twin and nuzzled into Ava's hand. He was much easier to wake up than his brother. Ava scratched his neck then said.

"You go on out and get my ingredients together and I will wake up your brother."

Jayden chuckled, smiling a toothy smile.

"Alright, if you need assistance just call for me."

She watched him shake his fur and trot off into the living room. Ava turned back to Kayden who still laid still and silent. She smiled and ran her hand over his muzzle.

"Kay...time to wake up."

He let out a soft growl turning to lay on his side. Ava crawled into their cot with him and cuddled up to his wolf body. Much like cuddling a large dog. Her hand ran through his white fur as she pulled his large head into her chest.

"Paging Mr. Kayden. Good morning."

"If it was good I would still be asleep."

He mumbled. Ava smiled and hugged him tight.

"Every morning you wake up to me is a good morning. Ask Jay."

"He doesn't count."

Ava laughed, dragging her fingers through his coarse fur. A soft growl let his jaws as his eyes opened to gaze at her. Ava gently caressed the corner of his blue eye and smiled at him.

"There those beautiful blues are. Morning Kay."

His sharp teeth showed as he smiled at her. A lazy half smile.

"Morning Alpha. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes although I am very excited for our job together. What's it been? Two months since we've worked together?"

"Yes."

"I hope your skills hasn't slipped since then."

Kayden let out a deep growl, his black lips pulled back.

"Never."

Ava wrapped him up in her arms and hugged him tight.

"Good, I have no fear when I am with you two. No one can stop us."

His arm moved over her body as he nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck. Ava closed her eyes and smiled in his embrace. She loved cuddling with her boys, it was always special when Kayden decided to be sweet to her. He was macho and tough all the time so, when he showed her kindness and compassion she knew he trusted her.

"Is he awake yet?"

Ava lifted her head finding Jayden standing in her doorway, back in his human form. She smiled over at him and said.

"Yes but it is not often I can get him to cuddle with me so I am enjoying this."

Jayden laughed and came over to them.

"Well everything is ready and I got up as asked."

"You did."

She reached out and touched his chest as he crawled into bed with her. Jayden curled around her back barely fitting in the small cot with them. Ava reached behind her and pulled his arm around her waist. She then ran her fingers through Kayden's neck fur pulling him closer to her as well.

Ava laid tucked between her boys, safely hidden away from the world. She smiled and said softly.

"I should know better than to lay with you two after waking you up. You seem to somehow be able to convince me to stay down."

"It's easy."

Kayden growled, his muzzle buried in her neck.

"We know what you like, Alpha."

"And we know how to keep you happy."

Jayden added. Ava nodded and felt his arm tighten around her waist.

"It is not hard."

"For you two."

She replied with a smile.

"Others it seems impossible. Alright, let's get up. I promised eggs and I keep my promises. Get up boys."

Jayden reluctantly released her as Kayden stood up in the cot. He shook his fur then jumped down to the floor. Ava watched Jayden stand up out of bed and hold a hand out to her.

"Waking up for your omelets is worth it."

"Glad someone likes my cooking."

Ava took his hand and stood up with him. He smiled and looked down.

"Much better than anything served here."

"Don't give me a big head."

Ava warned shaking a finger at him.

"Ego makes Lycans weak. Go on out into the living room, the both of you."

They both said yes then left her room to let her get dressed.

><

Noon came and Ava started their almost 3 hour drive to Naples. Sanctuary provided a big black SUV for them to take. Most of the supplies were provided for each Black Paw to complete their jobs. Safe house located in the area the worked as well as different equipment and ammo.

Ava had her own sniper that was passed down by her father to her. An older M95 retrofitted with a scope Jayden had made for her. Not only did she have night vison but heat vison as well. The scope calculated the distance and drop of each shot she took.

Jayden as well had a sniper he built himself. Different parts from different guns it was deadly. He modified it to shoot .50 caliber shells with deadly precision. Ava would joke that when he died he was going to leave it to her.

Kayden was the up close and personal type of killer. Knives and his full Lycan form were his weapons. Usually sent in first to draw out their enemies into shooting range, his confirmed kill list was long and gruesome. After each job was completed Kayden was always covered in blood. He was the messy twin for sure. Ava kept a ton of paper towels on hand when they worked together.

Half way through their drive they stopped at a gas station to refuel and pick up some food. Ava wandered through the aisles inside as the twins refueled the SUV. She picked out a few snacks she knew they liked then headed for drinks.

"Hello there beautiful."

She heard someone say behind her. Turning she found a taller human man smiling at her. Dressed in suit with an undone tie, he looked like he had just come from a party.

"Nice day isn't it?"

He spoke Italian, Ava's third spoken language. She studied him then said.

"Yes it is, and my name is not beautiful. It's Ava."

"Beautiful name."

He said coyly.

"I'm Francisco. How about we get to know each other over a drink?"

"No thank you. I am busy."

"Too busy to maybe meet the love of your life?"

His voice was flirty and his smile wide.

"We could make beautiful music together."

"I like silence."

Ava turned away from him and went over to the coolers. Finding Jayden's favorite soda she noticed Francisco had followed her.

"I can keep you quiet baby."

"Please don't make me call my hounds on you."

Ava sighed turning back to him. He was annoying.

"We are busy and I don't want them wasting their energy on you."

"I am not scared of dogs if it means getting closer to you."

He said closing the space between them. Ava pushed him away and growled.

"I said no."

"Come on baby it'll be fun."

"Is he bothering you Alpha?"

Kayden's growly voice made the man's face drop. Ava glanced back at her boys standing right behind her, their fierce blue eyes trained on the man. She knew if she said yes they would attack him instantly. Now was not the time for fights. They were on a job.

"No, he was just leaving. Mind showing him the door hounds?"

They both growled and muscled the man away from her. Ava returned to shopping hearing Francisco stutter and argue a bit. Not able to out muscle her boys she ignored them. Heading up towards the counter the older woman behind it smiled as she approached.

"Interesting looking hounds there..."

"They stalk me every now and then."

Ava replied laying her items out.

"Never feed strays, they won't leave you alone."

The woman laughed nodding her head.

"If I had strays like them around my house I'd make sure they didn't leave. There you go hon."

Ava took her bags as the twins reappeared beside her. She smiled at them and said.

"Let's go hounds. I got your treats."

><

Kayden took over driving for the remainder of the time. Ava sat beside him in the passenger seat munching on her snacks. Jayden sat in the back cleaning and polishing their rifles. She looked back then tossed candy at him.

"Nervous cleaning already?"

"I am not nervous."

Jayden said with a smile. He tossed the candy back at her then said.

"I am preparing your rifle for war."

"Lame."

She said rolling her eyes.

"But thank you."

"There is not much of anything we wouldn't do for you, Alpha."

Kayden growled beside her. Ava looked over at him and said.

"Well you both have killed for me before. Is there anything beyond that?"

"I can't think of anything."

Jayden replied from the back. Kayden agreed and glanced over at her.

"We'd carry you on our shoulders if you asked it of us."

Ava laughed thinking of herself perched on their shoulders.

"At least I would know what is was like to be tall for once."

Jayden laughed and leaned forwards in the back seat.

"It's not all it's cracked up to be. We can try it one day if you want."

"Ah yes, your Alpha seated atop her strong boy's shoulders."

Ava said in a posh voice.

"Waving to the peasants below."

The twins laughed and Jayden nudged her shoulder.

"You are crazy woman."

"But if you wanted we would give..."

Kayden said with a smile. Ava gazed over at him as he drove. She was incredibly lucky to have them on her side.

"Would you give your lives for mine?"

Kayden's face turned serious as he glanced over at her. Jayden leaned forward from the back seat and wrapped his arm around Ava's shoulders.

"We both would willingly and without hesitation."

"Give our last breath so you may continue to breathe."

Kayden finished his brothers statement and looked over at her again. Ava looked from one to the other and asked.

"You both answered quickly."

"You know we care for you."

Jayden spoke softly now, his eyes trained on hers.

"We have for a long time. You are surprised we would give ourselves for you?"

Ava reached out and took his and Kayden's hands in hers.

"I am shocked. I figured that kind of loyalty was reserved for life-mates."

"We are loyal to you."

Jayden explained. His hand giving hers a light squeeze.

"I have my own twisted form of love for you. I'm sure the relationship we have would drive a psychiatrist crazy."

Ava smiled and turned her eyes to Kayden.

"Do you love me in your own twisted way Kay?"

"Yes."

He took the chance of a red light to look over at her, his bright blue eyes sparkling today.

"I do love you in my own way."

"Different than Jay?"

He looked back ay Jayden then shook his head.

"The same. Don't expect us to become your mate or anything. We are wild and untamed. Not to be held down and forced to be..."

"Family men."

Jayden added. Ava smiled watching Kayden shudder.

"Ugh, children..."

She laughed and shoved his shoulder.

"I don't want that either. Thinking of being tied down alone just makes me anxious. But, thank you both for being honest with me. I do love the both of you as well, I have for a while."

"I am glad you can see love in other ways besides romantic."

Jayden commented moving back into his seat. Ava glanced at him then sat back in her seat to finish eating. Happy she had her boys.

><

The arrived around 3pm to the Black Paw safe house in Mergllina. Just off the coast of the Nepal's Gulf. Smaller house with a bunker beneath kept everyone safe while they worked. The twins brought in their weapons and supplies as Ava made them some food. They were going to sit and plan one last time before heading out. Close to the marina was a smaller warehouse that Peter laid claim too. That was their target.

Ava just finished sandwiches as Kayden joined her in their small kitchen.

"All done Alpha. We are ready to plan."

"Good, go get Jay and we can start while we eat."

He nodded but didn't move. Ava set a full plate down on the small table and looked over at him.

"You alright Kay?"

"Yes, I wanted to ask you something."

She nodded and sat on the edge of the table.

"Anything."

"It is..."

He paused to lean against the wall behind him.

"Personal."

Ava smiled over at him.

"Going to finally ask me what my bra size is stud?"

"No."

He laughed and smiled.

"I was wondering why you don't have a male by your side yet?"

"A boyfriend?"

"Don't use human words with me."

Kayden came over to her and sat in the chair closest to her.

"Why?"

Ava smiled and patted his shoulder.

"My dad taught me from a young age that I don't need a male by my side like all the other females. I don't need a life-mate and children to have a full life."

"That's not an answer."

"No I guess it's not."

Ava sighed and folded her hands in her lap.

"I just haven't found someone I like that much I guess. And what I do for a living makes it difficult to trust anyone. I'm sure there are a few people out there who wants my head on a plate. I guess my answer would be...because I can't put that kind of trust into someone."

"I'm sure us following you around has not helped at all."

Kayden's voice seemed softer now. Almost sympathetic. She met his eyes and he sighed.

"Our reputation in Black Paw and how protective we are of you...I'm just saying it would be difficult for a male to come up and capture your heart. Like today, what if that was the man who would steal your heart away?"

"Doubtful since I already started to hate him a bit."

Ava replied.

"Listen to me Kay. I choose to be friends with you two. I choose to have you stalk behind me everywhere I go. I choose not to have a male right now. This is my life and I get to pick and choose what happens."

"You won't get rid of us will you?"

His eyes were sad as he asked that. Almost afraid of her answer. Ava shook her head and smiled at him.

"Never. You two are wrapped in my life for the rest of time, and my future male will need to understand that I have two very growly males following me around from time to time."

"Promise?"

Ava looked over to the door seeing Jayden had joined them. She nodded and held her hand out to him.

"Yes, I promise. You two are stuck with me for a long time. Come here Jay."

He of course came right over and took her hand in his. She smiled again and gripped Kayden's shoulder in her other hand.

"Besides I'm sure your mom would surely rip my head off if I ever deserted you two."

Kayden chuckled and stood up beside her.

"We wouldn't let her if you decided it."

"Well I won't."

She smiled up at her two burly boys and said.

"Now, enough of this leaving talk. We have a job to plan for."

They both nodded staring down at her.

"Yes Alpha."

><

The plan was simple enough. Kayden would breach the warehouse doors making as much noise as possible. What he loved to do. Jayden would make his way into the rafters of the building and provide cover fire as well from up high. What he loved to do. And Ava put herself outside the warehouse to pick off anyone who tried to run or if Peter escaped before Kayden could get to him. They drove the SUV to a small alley near the warehouse for an easy escape once everything was finished.

Dressed in their infiltration suits Ava lead her hounds towards the warehouse. Kayden was in his full form. Standing around 7 feet tall he was massive. His black suit hiding most of his white fur he was hard to see in the black of night. Herself and Jayden still human moved swiftly towards the warehouse. Ava sat atop the building directly across from their target with her boys behind her.

"Two guards at the door."

She scoped out the main entrance hearing Kayden growl softly behind her. He wanted to go now and without her teachings he would have years ago. The two guards outside the entrance lounged against the wall. One on their phone the other picking at what looked like a moss covered rock.

Ava turned to her boys who both growled deeply.

"Jay, go make your way inside and I do not want you making any type of sound. Clear?"

He gave a short nod, shouldering his rifle. She looked at Kayden and said.

"You, take those two at the doors out first, wait for my signal, and then go to town on everyone inside. Make sure you make a bunch of noise. I don't want anyone not knowing you are inside. Clear?"

Kayden nodded as well, his huge muzzle wrinkling in a growl.

"Meet up at the SUV in...what you think Jay?"

"Thirty minutes."

His answer was quick and determined. Ava nodded.

"Thirty minutes. Be quick, be safe, be smart."

They both nodded once then ran off to get in position. Ava shouldered her rifle going back to watch the doors. Through her scope she watched Kayden silently drop behind the guard on his phone and with one quick movement slit his throat. Before the other could even comprehend what had happened, Kayden sheathed his knife in the man's skull. Two minutes later Jayden beeped her with his signal, in turn Ava signaled Kayden to move inside.

Kayden broke through the metal doors and Ava could hear him from across the street. Vicious snarls filled the night air joining Jayden's perfect 3 second interval shots. She was so proud of how far they had come while working with her. Kayden would have just ripped into the building and Jayden probably would have taken her spot. Waiting outside away from everyone as always.

Three people managed to escape the building only to be dropped by Ava outside. The thirty minutes came to an end and Ava quickly stored her rifle and took off running towards their SUV. Just as she rounded the corner to the alley Kayden landed heavily beside her, still in his full form and covered in blood. She smiled at him as she slowed at the SUV.

"Messy as always. You hurt?"

He shook his head letting out soft pants. Jayden jogged over a few seconds later, his rifle slung over his shoulder.

"And thing two arrives a bit late."

Ava teased. Jayden stowed his gun in the SUV then said.

"I wanted to get you something."

He held out a piece of Peter's fancy suit jacket and smiled at her.

"For your ceiling of trophies."

"Oh thank you Jay."

She took it and smiled at him.

"Nice of you to remember."

"Still late."

Kayden growled. Jayden threw him a look then said.

"At least I can be seen. You walk into a store right now and they would call the cops on you."

Kayden rumbled with a guttural growl bearing his blood soaked muzzle to the air. Ava watched him with a smile on her face. He looked magnificent.

"Relax both of you. Good work tonight. Stow your gear and let's get back to the safe house before cops start showing up. And Kayden, don't you dare think about getting in the front seat like that."
