Pepper VS Temptation - Part 12

~A Persephone and Tritonia Story~

(edited by Tiliquain and Secretskunk)

Where the Librarian's terminal was supposed to be, there was a foot-high square stump with four oval pads arranged in a trapezoid near the center. The pads were covered by gold bead-like electrical contacts. Around the base were a bunch of translucent grey ceramic clamps that had held the Librarian's obelisk against the base. One of the clamps had been cut with some sort of torch and I could see the infrared glow and smell the acrid smoke it had left behind.

"Can I go after them?" I asked Charlie, feeling rather exposed since I was still naked. I really needed an outfit that fit well enough that it didn't lower my top speed.

"Yes, but do not get in over your head. If you have any doubts about your safety, retreat and call for backup," Charlie said.

"Yes ma'am," I said as I dashed over to the stump the Librarian's terminal had been anchored to. Following a very unfamiliar impulse, I got on my hands and knees and started sniffing at the cut clamp while my thick tail raised up. Whatever my body was trying to signal, I had no idea.

"What are you doing?" Charlie asked.

My muzzle wrinkled at the metallic and sooty scent I was picking up. "Not sure, giving in to my doggo tracking instincts, maybe?" I said, looking back at her.

Working hard to keep her eyes away from my sexy bits, she said, "Tracking by scent?"

"If it works, I'm gonna be really happy." Taking one last whiff, I overdid it a little and sneezed on the cut clamp, getting snot on it. I'd seen dogs do this so many times and I was pink with embarrassment that it had just happened to me.

She was trying to stifle a laugh. She looked like she was in pain.

Ignoring her struggle, I stayed on all fours and followed the trail toward the bulkhead door four to the right of Helja's.

Charlie was now dying. Watching me sniff around just like a canine was making her clamp her hand over her mouth. There had to be a bit of comedy in the way my heavy balls were dangling and swaying as I gathered olfactory intel. I didn't have to get all that close to the floor, but being lower helped. A lot of the particulate in the smoke was heavier than air.

Standing up in front of the giant bulkhead door, I found it ever so slightly ajar and started pulling it open. The moment air started to move, my long dragon-like tail wagged as best it could show my excitement. Pressure built in my chest and I tried to swallow the bark only to sound like a chihuahua when I finally lost control.

That's when Charlie lost it and started laughing so hard she doubled over.

Burning from a full-body blush, I left her to cackle and ran as fast as I could to the next intersection. Then I sniffed around and went down the right fork. At the next intersection, ten meters down the left fork, I could see the big Spectral Thief that was carrying the Librarian's terminal. The moment I started running down that fork, a strange eight-foot tall giraffe thing decloaked thirty meters in front of me.

Well, it wasn't a giraffe, it was more like a bizarre stick bug version of a giraffe. The thin legs were creepy, the long neck with a flashlight-shaped head was bizarre, and radiator-fin-like sets of wings on its back were flapping in a steady rhythm. Its main body was about four feet off the ground, but its legs were bent and its neck went up another four feet above that. The whole thing was bright cobalt blue, almost too blue to exist, and it was wrapped in the same yellow and blue strands of light that made up the shield from earlier.

I was so struck by its appearance, I slowed my pace. That was a mistake because next thing I knew, an ear-shattering bzzt-pow came from my upper left tit and I got some wind knocked out of me. Realizing I'd just been shot by a PIKL unit, I dodged around the corner and groaned in pain. Next to me was a big old hook that had been welded to the wall so it could hold who knows what. These hooks were randomly in some of the corridors and I'd noticed spots where they used to be attached, but I'd never thought much of them until that moment. Maybe they were brackets for some sort of pipe network?

Until recently, what I was planning to do with this hook would've been impossible.

Growling from the effort, I bit down where it was mounted and felt that scary amount of pressure my jaws could exert. The steel deformed like potter's clay until I'd bitten through the metal enough that I could snap it off the wall. Then I had what should've felt like fifteen pounds of steel in my hands, but felt more like a half pound. Part of my brain was wondering if everything had been replaced with styrofoam props as I dashed back into the corridor the blue giraffe was in.

While getting shot two more times and bracing myself with my tail, I threw that hook like a solid steel boomerang. The evil giraffe shot at my scavenged projectile, trying to alter its course while moving out of its way.

It wasn't fast enough. The hook hit the main body, but it bounced off the shield harmlessly. My ears protected themselves from damage, but the clang from the hook hitting the shield was still freaking loud. Not as loud as the laser hits, but still. The giraffe bug was forced to regain its balance due to the strength of the blow and I got away before it could shoot me more.

My open bloodless wounds to my breasts were burning and my ribs were mighty sore. I was really noticing the thing Helja had mentioned about altering my nervous system. The smaller hit from outside Gillon's lab didn't hurt much and the pain from the more powerful recent hits wasn't overwhelming, more like a warning that I'd be in trouble if I kept taking hits.

Leaning against the wall, I concentrated on connecting to the intercom. To my surprise, my voice came through it just fine even though I wasn't using an intercom panel. "Pepper here, I need backup in sector K381. Encountered weapons platform and it's well shielded. I've sustained moderate injuries."

I heard metal tapping from the giraffe bug running in my direction.

As I started running at half my top speed as I called out over the intercom, "I'm being pursued!"

"Retreat to the med bay," Charlie said. "What type of weaponry does it have?"

"A beefy PIKL unit," I said.

"Abrams and Tsubumi, grab AT tubes and RACS and head to sector K381 ASAP."

The control room was on the way to the med bay and Charlie was kneeling on the floor behind a thick black shield with a cutout in the top for her to rest her anti-tank missile launcher, which she was supporting with her shoulder. It was a meter-and-a-half long green and black tube with an optics cluster on one side.

Septimus was fitting her with ear protection specially made for her horse ears.

Charlie said, "Thank you, now go see to Pepper."

Septimus said, "Yes ma'am," and then motioned for me to follow him.

"We can use anti-tank weapons inside?" I asked.

"Only when there's enough air to displace so that we won't kill ourselves with the shockwave."

"But won't we--OW--" My ribs hurt as I turned to walk into the med bay. "--hurt the ceramic the base is made out of?"

"Nah, it's a self-repairing nanograin ceramic. It's got the best properties of ceramic and metal," he said as he turned on the lights. Then he closed the door and secured it with the handwheel before he engaged a hook that would stop the handwheel from turning. It was crude, but it was effective and all the bulkhead doors on base had it.

As the med bay ceiling glowed to life, I looked over the few hospital beds, the state-of-the-art MRI machine, the CT scanner, and the cabinets full of medical equipment. Septimus walked over to the first aid cabinet which was white with translucent glass doors showing vague colors and shapes of what was behind them. Everything was labeled for its contents. Right next to it was a hospital bed that I climbed onto so I could lie down.

"Ah, you're a step ahead of me," he said as he looked over the craters the PIKL unit had made in my skin. "PIKL pulse trains used on flesh should bore into the tissue. I guess this explains the bizarre ceramic chemistry of your fur."

"Wait, my fur's made of ceramic?" I asked. Sudden hunger pangs wracked me, but what I was hungry for was a bottle of antacid.

"Yeah, it's a complex mixture of different nanograin ceramics, just like the Repository." One of Septimus's ears twitched. "Hmm, there's slightly less damage than I saw when you walked up."

"I don't know why, but I want a bottle of antacid. Not Tums, though." I said.

He opened the door labeled "antacids" and pulled out a bottle of Mylanta. "From what I can tell, your digestive system can process things other than food now. You not wanting Tums actually makes sense given that your fur has some nanograin sapphire in it. There's aluminum hydroxide in some antacids and Tums doesn't have it. Mylanta does."

"Sapphire is aluminum oxide, right?" I said as I grabbed the bottle out of his paw and took off the cap.

"Yep, it's confusing because sapphire, ruby and corundum are all different names for crystalline aluminum oxide."

I drained the entire bottle of Mylanta, getting an odd sort of satisfaction instead of a specific taste. I guess my body knew this wasn't meant to be enjoyed for its flavor?

He went over to the medical dish washer and pulled out a box of borax powder. "There's also boron nitride strands in your fur. Borax is sodium tetraborate. Do you crave this at all?"

"Yeah, I want it." Grabbing the box, I looked at the back of it. The poison control warnings gave me pause. "I won't die from having this?"

"When we gave you barium sulfate for your abdominal CT scan, your body got it out of your system so fast that we barely had any time to examine you. I don't think there's much risk. Though, the powder might get in your lungs and irritate them if you try to get it down, so we should probably mix it with water," he said as he got out a beaker and poured a cup of borax into it. After that, he added some water from the sink and mixed it so it was the texture of a smoothie. "It's possible it'll dehydrate you a bit, so I'll keep an extra glass of water on hand."

I really wanted to drink it and that disturbed me to no end. Taking the beaker from him, I tipped my head back and started drinking. Again, I didn't taste anything, just got satisfaction. No wonder why Helja said she separated eating food and getting structural materials.

After nearly finishing the borax slurry, I stopped and handed it back to him. "I think that's enough. Now I want some--

"Pencil lead?" he asked.

"H-how did you know?" I asked.

"There's some graphene in your fur too and I figured pencil led is the most common thing you interact with that would have carbon. I don't have any pencils in here, but I do have some activated charcoal." He grabbed a bag from under the sink next to all the examination gloves, tongue depressors, and other doctor's-office-related stuff.

As he mixed the powder with water, I asked, "So, I take it I'm not biological anymore?"

Handing me the beaker, he said, "The technology in you is not classifiable. It appears to be the product of guided evolution using materials biology doesn't have access to. It's the most remarkable thing I've seen in my entire life and I'm now even more interested to meet Helja."

"Are you saying that her race naturally evolved to eat aluminum foil?" I asked.

"No, I think they used evolution as the model, like evolutionary algorithms and such. And they made sure that the result was easier to repair from the outside. Imagine if we took out all the strange evolutionary choices that make things worse or harder to fix. Like made it so your sinuses couldn't get infected, or we moved the femoral artery so there was less of a chance of bleeding to death when you break your leg," he said.

"Okay, so I guess that means I'm very different now?" I said, feeling a bit odd. My sexy new shape, strength, senses, and speed had all been pointing at me being different, but this conversation was bringing it home and making it real.

"Extremely different," he said as he looked over my changed body with a growing smile. When he got to my balls, though, he just kinda stopped.

I could smell him getting excited, but I was in repair mode or something and couldn't really reciprocate. That didn't make teasing him any less fun, however. "See something you like?"

He turned to look me in the eye, his ears bright pink with a blush. Then he tried too hard to act professional as he said, "Is there a reason why you're not drinking the activated carbon?"

"I feel like I need a bit of time with the other stuff first," I said.

"Ahh, okay, I'm not sure what else can be done to help you," he said, before licking the backs of his paws and cleaning his mouse whiskers. It was too adorable for words.

Looking down at the charred craters, I noticed that they were about twenty percent smaller than they had been and the discoloration was going away. "I think I just need time at this point. What else is different about me?"

"Can I ask you about something we definitely won't cover in your medical briefing?"

"Sure," I said, not knowing why that would be the case.

He leaned in and spoke quietly, "Is Helja fairly perverted?"

I blushed and nodded. "Why?"

"Your prostate, like many other things in your body, has been split into multiple organs that do its various functions. Now you have an entire organ devoted to holding and excreting lots of semen and it's connected to your ball sac, which is fairly elastic itself. It appears you can store excess semen in your ball sac, and none of the semen in the sample you provided had builders in it. We only found builders in tissue samples from your breast tissue and testes. This means that distributing builders is not the only function of your or lactation or ejaculation. Plus, there's no genetic information in your ejaculate. From this, the only conclusion I can make is that your enormous cum production is often simply for fun and you can potentially produce a lot more than what you put in that cup."

"Neat." From the way he said it, I had the feeling he was trying to tease me for once, but the problem was that he now smelled like he was wet enough to take a big dildo without lube. "Smells like you're just as perverted as Helja," I said.

"N-no." He trembled and sniffed the crook of my neck. Then he looked at my balls again. He'd had to play it cool the entire time he'd been testing me and he was dangerously thirsty now.

I was getting sparks of joy from him being so into my body. "It's only the two of us here and we locked ourselves in due to the Spectral Thieves. So, if you want to put your muzzle there, you totally can. Just don't expect me to reciprocate until I'm--NGH!"

His face was in my crotch so fast I couldn't even finish talking and he was pulling in my scent so hard that I felt a breeze. His whiskers brushed against my thighs as he fondled my balls with his small paw-padded hands. His scent was getting thicker and I knew I'd let this get out of hand, but it felt so damn affirming. The more I got reminded I had balls and a prick, the more whole I felt. I sighed, relaxing against the hospital bed.

"No visual on the weapons platform," Abrams said over the intercom, interrupting us.

"Fall back and guard the med bay," Charlie said.

"Yes ma'am," Abrams said.

Septimus stood up so fast he got a bit of vertigo and swayed a bit as he spoke. "I need to use the restroom before Charlie arrives."

"Good call, you smell like a bitch in heat," I grinned.

He moaned. "Stop that."

"No, because you like it," I said, hopping off the exam table and walking over to the door.

He bit his lip and then dashed off to the restroom as I undid the hook that kept the handwheel from turning so Charlie could get in.

As I walked back to the hospital bed, I sampled more of his scent causing my crotch to tingle. If only we'd had just a bit more time. The pain was very manageable now and I knew I wasn't going to get kicked off the base, so my body was starting to feel playful again. I opened a bottle of rubbing alcohol and then a bottle of iodine to make sure Septimus's scent wasn't the first thing Charlie noticed when she walked in the room. I didn't want poor Septimus to be any more embarrassed than he already was.

As I grabbed the activated carbon water and started drinking it, I smiled internally over having so much sexual chemistry with Septimus. Charlie and Percy were still off limits and, now that my libido was coming back, I needed all the help I could get.

Charlie walked in while I still had a third of the beaker to go.

As her eyes widened and her horse ears shot straight up, I realized exactly what she was thinking and said, "I haven't been poisoned. I just needed to drink some strange stuff so my body could repair."

Charlie took a deep breath. "Whew, took my mind a bit to catch up there. I had a nephew that ended up in the hospital from the Tide pod challenge and I assume borax isn't particularly safe to drink?"

"Think about how I feel," I said, drinking one more gulp of activated carbon before setting the beaker aside.

"Does it taste bad?" she asked.

Ignoring the taste in my mouth as well as the rubbing alcohol and iodine I'd put in the air was actually pretty easy. Filtering my senses was way easier now. I noticed more things, but I could also sift through my perception easier when I focused. Though, I was sure I could still get overwhelmed in some situations, especially since I had so much more information coming in.

"The moment it touches my tongue, I automatically don't think about how it tastes," I said. "I've heard activated charcoal or carbon or whatever they call it isn't dangerous, so I feel less weird about drinking this than the borax."

"That's good," she said. "I'm assuming Septimus told you some about your new anatomy?"

"Yeah, I'm not biological or synthetic and I have a lot of odd stuff going on," I said.

"I'd say less odd and more fascinating."

"I guess it explains why I can run as fast as a car now," I said.

"And lift really heavy objects," she added.

"I bet I could pick you up and toss you onto the bed," I said before immediately covering my muzzle.

Charlie's tail flicked as she shook her head slightly. "Let's not even go there."

"Yeah, ignore me," I said.

"Done." Her eyes darted over to Septimus, who was coming out of the restroom. "Is Pepper well enough to sign paperwork?"

"Yeah, unless she's still in a lot of pain?" He looked at me.

"Nah, I'm fine. Wounds aren't quite half healed yet, but I'll probably be good by the time the paperwork's all signed and you guys go over my medical with me," I said. "Actually, can I get a pizza or something?"

"Septimus, would you mind popping a frozen pizza in the oven while you collect your notes for your presentation? We won't need you for about an hour," Charlie said.

"Sure, I can do that," he said. "Do you want a specific kind?"

"Actually, can I get something else? Something with lots of veggies?" Huh, I normally went for a meat lovers pizza when I was this hungry, but that felt boring.

"Like a stir fry, or?" Septimus asked.

"Anything, actually. Everything tastes more now and I want to just start trying stuff," I said.

"Okay, I'll find something easy to heat up," he said as he walked out.

Charlie led me to the control room and, after I got dressed in my baggy clothes again, we went over all the paperwork and got my biometrics for security locks. After that, Septimus and Kirkii told me what I already knew: that I was incredibly healthy and sturdy and there was a lot about me they still didn't fully understand.

My favorite part was when Kirkii asked me, "May we talk a bit about your intimate anatomy? I believe there are details we must disclose to Charlemagne." Seeing her form glowing cyan and red letters on her tentacles was never going to get old.

Blushing, I said, "Sure." I got a shot of endorphins from the petty part of my brain at the idea of Charlie being forced to stare at my uncensored bits.

They brought up a shot of my pussy, with butterfly-wing-like inner labia and a nice plump mound with a big three-lobed clit just like Helja. The sensitive fleshy parts on my body were a lovely pink that went with my fur color.

As we examined my odd pussy anatomy together, Kirkii wrote, "What all these interior bumps are for is unknown."

I said, "I know what they're for. Helja's got two passages in her snatch. One that's smooth that I don't know what it does and another one that hybridizes people." Just thinking about the sensation of my prick growing bigger inside her was getting me hard. And then my horny mind jumped to the fact that my balls could store extra cum and they started swelling between my legs.

"You can hybridize people?" Charlie looked at me like she was going to have a stroke.

"I don't know for sure, but it's possible. Even if I can, Helja has full conscious control of it. It's not like I'm not gonna just go around accidentally changing people," I said.

"Yes, she only secretes builders when we ask her to make a conscious effort to do so," Septimus said.

Kirkii wrote, "The threat of contamination is vanishingly small. Builders we extracted by taking tissue samples were inert the moment they left her body. It makes sense because uncontrolled technology at that scale would be incredibly dangerous."

Charlie took a deep breath and settled into her chair. "Okay, that means it's fairly contained. Continue."

Septimus went over a bunch more anatomy stuff and I was even more interested in it than Charlie, it was like engineering porn. Like watching a Discovery special about the world's tallest skyscrapers. My skin and fat layers were a bit like reactive armor. They'd had to slide needles in slowly or they got stuck. My breasts stored extra nutrients, including a very clever chemical matrix for storing oxygen so I could go long periods without breathing. I had gills in my sides that sealed shut so seamlessly that we would've missed them without MRI scans. And I got way more energy from food because my digestive system cheated in ways biology couldn't.

When Septimus said I'd probably get a lot of energy from drinking methanol, I felt a bit anxious remembering all those stories about alcoholics going blind or dying from drinking stuff that contained it.

The part that surprised me the most is something we noticed over the course of my testing was that Helja's builders were still renovating my body days after I took on this form. That's why we'd repeated many of the tests during my stay in the brig. Things started slowing down a lot after the third day, though. It explained how impossibly hungry I'd been on those first three days even though I should've been too depressed to eat much.

My beefy tail and crazy jumping ability were the last thing on their list, probably because they'd captured such a glorious image of my back end and Septimus knew he would need to go take care of himself after having it up on the screen.

Heck, I was just short of preing seeing my snatch and balls on the big screen like that.

Septimus pointed out how amazingly strong my buttocks were and Kirkii pointed out how well my tail was hooked into the rest of my body's structure. There were lots of tendons and ligaments and stabilization going on. My vertebrae had special joints that fit together with much less chance of pinching the cushions between them. The tendons in my digitigrade legs allowed for extreme amounts of energy storage. We hadn't been able to fully test my jumping distance because the lab hadn't been big enough and I could touch the five-meter-tall ceilings of the repository.

As we were wrapping up that discussion, Kirkii asked, "Pepper, can I ask another very personal question about your anatomy? It's a bit of an elephant in the room because both you and Helja share this trait and I can't figure out why it's there."

"Sure, I want you to know everything I know," I said.

"Why are your balls so massive? I've been thinking about this ever since I saw the composite sketch of Helja. Do your testes have lots of machinery for making builders or something?" Kirkii asked.

My prick was now halfway down my thigh while I was feeling hot under my fur from all the blushing.

"We haven't examined Helja yet, but Pepper does have a lot of machinery for making builders in her testes. I don't think that fully explains their size, however, I'll leave it up to Pepper to decide whether to elaborate further," Septimus said, shifting in his seat.

My dick throbbed as I said, "I could say more, but I think it might be seen as inappropriate."

"No, withholding information is how we got into this mess. If you know the reason, spill the beans," Charlie said.

"Helja and I share that fetish," I said.

Charlie's eyes went wide and she blinked as her ears fell flat.

Kirkii put ROFL emoticons all over her tentacles while Septimus rubbed his thighs together.

"I'm not going to like Helja, am I?" Charlie said.

"Honestly, I think you two will get along fine as long as you keep in mind that sex in her culture is like having a deep conversation. They share chemical information directly and transfer data while in close contact." I'd eluded to this during the interrogation, but I don't think Charlie fully got her head around it.

"It makes sense, it's not a bad activity to do when you're waiting for a download," Kirkii wrote.

Septimus blushed as he tried to keep his excitement under control. Judging by how he was rubbing himself against his seat, I don't think he was doing a very good job.

"Well, I'm not going to be having sex with her." Charlie looked at me. "That's your job."

In that instant, my pussy started wetting the crotch of my sweat pants and my balls felt fuller than ever. Them knowing I'd been fucking Helja was hot in the same way them knowing I had giant balls was. Embarrassing and hot in that odd mixture that made me a bit of a nympho. Now that I had a dick, part of me just wanted to stick it in people's faces and call out their double-standards about sex.

There was also a bit of pride in me because I was the best person on base for making first contact with Helja. Septimus would've gotten along with her, but I was a lot better at explaining humanity from an even-headed perspective than he was. And Percy could've done a pretty good job, but she likely would've likely told Charlie right away and I still wasn't sure that was a good play. Though, I'd definitely kept the secret too long.

"Do you have any other questions?" Septimus asked. I think he was hoping to end the meeting so he could either get dicked by me or run off to the restroom again.

"No, I think that should do it. I'm gonna go get Alphonse so we can properly format and redact parts of Pepper's medical before sending it off." As she headed out the door, she said, "Pepper and Septimus stick around. Oh, and Septimus, get Pepper's balls off the screen, please."

Septimus said, "Yes ma'am."

I stroked my length under the table, taking the opportunity to appreciate the way my rear was taking up most of the projector screen.

"Goodbye and talk soon," Kirkii wrote.

"Talk to you later Kirkii," Septimus said as he grabbed the remote for the projector.

"Bye!" I said as I got up. Stiffly walking over to the door, I secured it behind Charlie.

Septimus waved bye to Kirkii as he punched the power button on the projector's remote and it shut off. Then he turned off the conference mic and walked up to me while I was headed back to my chair. He tried to say something, only to sniff the air and blush.

With my half-hard prick throbbing down the leg of my sweatpants, I said, "If you get me any harder, I'll make you take responsibility for it."

He bit his lip.

Reaching into my sweat pants to catch a bit of pre before it soaked into them and then licking it off my finger, I asked, "What's your favorite kind of waffle?"

"Cinnamon chip," he said. "Why?"

"Because we need to smell like something other than pent up nymphos around Charlie," I said as I sat back in my seat. "Mine's pumpkin waffles with vanilla-maple whip cream."

"Mmm, cream." He shivered.

Blood rushed to my crotch. I'd given him mind-blowing sex for possibly the first time in his life and now I was reaping the consequences. "Maybe take a couple steps back so you're not smelling me as strongly and try to have a non-horny conversation. I promise we'll deal with the horny later."

He backed up a bit and said, "That sounds delicious, but I prefer stuffed French toast over waffles any day."

"What do you like it stuffed with?"

He moaned when I said the word, "stuffed."

After that, I talked to him about my experiences building electric guitars in high school, but it only helped some. The more I tried to avoid making innuendos, the more I made.

Charlie came back and only talked to Alphonse for a couple minutes before she walked up and said, "Okay, I'm sorry for the long day, but I think it's time I met Helja."

"Today?!" I asked. If I didn't bone Septimus soon, both of us were going to have a meltdown.

"Yep, right now," Charlie said, "I've had enough of the Spectral Thieves and I want to explore all my options."

Septimus gave me this pleading look and I shook my head very slightly because I knew he'd be more than a handful once he saw Helja. But then I remembered the promise I'd made to him and said, "I think we should bring Septimus too."

"Great, I was planning to bring him since he's our expert in exobiology," Charlie said.

Septimus practically bounced toward the door. If he'd been any more excited, I imagined he would've been squeaking. Equal amounts of sexual need and dread filled me as I watched him. The way things were headed, it'd be a miracle if Helja, Septimus, and I didn't end up fucking right in front of Charlie.
