Peace negotiations take a different direction when the queen's lead representative reacts to dragon scent in an unexpected way.

A sketch of an adult idea I might want to explore more of in the future. It's not a fully-realized story yet, but it could be.

Why don't these people wear clothes?

A'ex thought it as he walked among the dragons. Some stood on two legs. Some on four. Vibrant red scales. Dull green scales. Hypnotic patterns. Solid colors. On the surface, it seemed similar to the canine kingdom--made up of wolves, foxes, jackals, coyotes, and so forth, different fur, different stances. But even the quadrupeds in the canine kingdom covered themselves in traditional cloth. All he could see was lizard slits and assholes.

A'ex hailed from the wolf tribe, and he strolled among their former rival kingdom's court, scent conveying confidence. Behind him walked a representative from the other tribes within the canine realm. Only the maned wolf and the jackal walked on four legs. Currently wolves were on the throne of their kingdom, so A'ex led the entourage.

The dragons were watching him as he made his way to the dais, where the reigning lizards lay, waiting. They also weren't wearing clothes. A'ex wondered how anyone could tell royalty from the commoners around here. This was the first peaceful meeting between the canines and the dragons in recorded history, so information on how dragon society actually functioned was confined mostly to rumor and myth.

The canine delegation spread out and stood in front of the royals. Large creatures. A'ex was one of the tallest canines in the group but he only came up to mid-chest on the bipedal dragons, and up to the shoulders of the quadrupeds. Each of the dragons' legs was the size of A'ex himself.

The one on the right, covered in reflective, black scales, addressed them first. "After centuries of conflict and persecution, I am pleased to welcome you as friends in my realm."

A'ex remained composed. The dragon was lying on its side, belly facing them, slit on display, as if knowing full well the wolf despised the sight.

"It brings me relief to travel in your realm as an honored guest."

"Safe travel between our territories is an important matter of discussion for this meeting."

"It is indeed. Much can be gained from peaceful exchange. The dragon realm has resources we lack, and likewise for our territory, I presume."

The other dragon on the platform, covered in scales of interlocking green and yellow, but lying on its stomach, wings partially spread, spoke up. "I heard your queen's proposal. Most of our people can fly under their own power. Reaching your territory is not difficult for us. This would simply issue an edict for your citizens to stop firing upon us should we land."

A'ex's tail rose. "The provision grants safe passage for both sides. It's meant to encourage meetings and exchanges rather than hostility."

The reflective-scaled continued the thought. "The provision specifies we must land outside towns and walk through the gates, for those of us who can fly."

"Merely so no one startles the townspeople or damages any property."

"The provision is a little one-sided."

A'ex's tail rose higher. "In prior generations, the dragons were known for destroying towns and eating livestock."

"And yours were known for raiding our nests and taking eggs," said the green-yellow one. It bothered A'ex they had not introduced themselves, as he wasn't certain if it would be impolite to address them by name when they themselves had not given it. "They made for a delicacy, am I correct?"

A'ex wagged his tail, hoping the dragons knew the gesture. "One I enjoyed many times. Your proposal to ban the dish is one of the first items on the list. It will go a long way to easing the tensions between our peoples."

The reflective dragon spoke. "It is hardly comprehensive, but that's why we're meeting in person. You speak for the queen?"

"Everyone here is a representative of the many realms our queen commands. We are authorized to speak on her behalf and complete negotiations in person."

"Then there is one last measure I wish to discuss before talks begin in earnest. A certain practice of magic."

A'ex's tail rose all the way. "The treaty does touch on it."

"And negotiations were left to the in-person talks. This practice has been a rumor among my people for generations, and now we learn it is true. Your alchemists and mages have been using our bones and scales for multiple medicines and enchantments."

"No one denies they have magical properties. The various cures they produce work well with our species."

"Your queen is proposing the practice continue, but _voluntarily."

A'ex had been prepared for this, just not so soon. "The canine kingdom has admitted to sending people into your kingdom for generations to obtain ingredients. The potions they produce are beneficial to all. Perhaps there is something the canine kingdoms can provide of equal value in exchange for more just means of procurement."

The scent in the air changed, and along with it, the mood. Everyone seemed to be growling under their breath now.

"Just means," green-yellow echoed.

Reflective-black audibly growled. "The practice must cease if the canines wish access to our minerals and water sources, as well as the crafts our people produce."

A'ex smelled the other canines were doing a lousy job maintaining composure. He did not falter. "Our queen is prepared to work with your alchemists to find alternatives. If I may be blunt, most diseases in our realm have been cured thanks to the ingredients of which we speak. The canines owe the dragon realm a great debt of gratitude."

"Gratitude indeed," reflective-black growled, scales in the arms tightening as muscles tensed.

From behind a pillar A'ex saw someone emerge. Someone covered in fur. A'ex's tail fell at the sight. A wolf. White fur, grey circles around his eyes, walking on two legs. No clothing, bulging muscles. Surprisingly light on his feet, he pranced up to the one with reflective black scales and began feeling the slit. A'ex saw something peeking from it. The wolf seemed more interested in the scent than the penis clearly slipping out.

"Hundreds of my kind murdered," reflective-black began. "I would certainly say gratitude is called for. It seemed to be justice for centuries. We were ingredients to you, so we treated you as food. You took from us. We took from you. If there is to be peace between us, we must agree this practice can no longer continue, and in return we will no longer regard you as food, and your territory will be off limits to hunting."

The muscular wolf was licking inside reflective-black's slit. The tip of the cock was now out and filling the hall with quite a scent. The wolf was breathing that scent, tail wagging. The tip alone was as thick as the wolf's arm. More was sliding out as the wolf rubbed and breathed.

A'ex was at a loss for words for a moment, and then he remembered what the queen's response would be. "That is... certainly acceptable, and an ideal long-term goal. For the present, the queen wants us to consider the medicines in production now. There's an epidemic in the Maned Wolf province, and dragon-derived medicines have been the only effective treatment thus far. The queen wishes to..."

The new wolf had his whole muzzle in the dragon's slit, just breathing as more of reflective-black's cock emerged. It was as thick as A'ex's leg, and covered in shiny slick. He heard the canines behind him shifting, more from the scent in the hall than the sight of the penis before them.

Green-yellow spoke, no longer growling. "We are not ingredients for your medicines. You may be aware we also considered some of you delicacies. This will halt immediately. But perhaps... Some could be willing to donate their bodies upon natural death until alternatives can be found."

A'ex couldn't stop staring at the throbbing penis still growing in front of him. The wolf with his muzzle buried in the dragon's slit was out of his sheath.

The mood in the hall had certainly changed. No one was growling anymore. In fact...

A'ex chanced to look back. Numerous dragons were out of their slits. Some were scenting one another. One pair was clearly coupling. The other canines also seemed bewildered. He turned back to the two on the dais. Green-yellow had rolled over, fully out of his slit and leaking clear liquid all over himself and dripping on the stone. A'ex felt bad for assuming this was the queen. He wondered about two men being on the throne.

Reflective-black was staring at them. From what little was known of dragon emotions, A'ex could tell he was smiling. "It is not impolite to ask."

A'ex straightened up. "Then I shall ask who this is, and what is happening."

Reflective-black placed a clawed hand over the wolf between his legs. "We named him Tel'el. He wandered into our kingdom as a pup. Was likely drawn to dragon scent. Now it's all he can eat. They tend to find employment in royal courts throughout the dragon realm."

A'ex twitched. "They?"

Green-yellow was rubbing his own cock. "We used to believe it was some sort of magic, but now we are certain it is biological. Some canines respond to dragon scent. They aren't satisfied in life until they find it. Canines have been part of our society for centuries. We are only recently learning all canines are not like this."

A'ex winced watching the wolf. "I believe the treaty touches on the stories of dragons abducting infants for unknown purposes."

Reflective-black: "We admit to hunting your people for food, but nobody steals infants. They find us. Scent among dragons works a little differently. Canines such as Tel'el help keep the peace in tense situations. I was tempted to eat all of you right now for even suggesting our bones and scales would still be regarded as ingredients in the peaceful future, but now the urge has passed and I am willing to discuss options."

A'ex felt a stirring in his sheath. He lashed his tail to distract himself from it. "I'm certain the queen will want to see these people returned to her kingdom."

Green-yellow: "That's quite impossible. These canines would starve without dragon essence."

Reflective-black: "They were not stolen children. They came to us. We gave them refuge. We believe our people would be at war with one another if not for these canines. They have a fairly high status here. Higher than they would have in your domain, I'm sure."

A'ex had peeked from his sheath. "So he is a jester of a kind?" A'ex feared he had lost composure and probably bargaining power. The scent in the hall was bizarre and yet... "May I ask Tel'el a question?"

"Of course," Green-yellow replied. "He is educated and a full member of society."

Tel'el turned from the slit. He rested a hand on reflective-black's penis and regarded the canine delegation, possibly noticing them for the first time.

A'ex met eyes with the large wolf. "Where are you from?"

Tel'el walked toward the canines, out of his sheath and knotted, muzzle and chest fur slick with whatever fluid came from the dragon's slit. As he approached, A'ex came out of his sheath. The fluid covering his body smelled better the closer he came. A'ex hoped his clothes hid his erection and kept his own scent from escaping.

The white wolf stood just as tall as A'ex. His chest was thick enough to collide with his arms even holding them relaxed at his side. His thighs touched from hip to knee. Whatever the dragons were feeding him, it must have been good for his health. Even trained warriors did not have a chest and legs this large.

Tel'el scented A'ex, and then leaned close and whispered in his ear. "I will tell you everything later."

He discreetly felt A'ex's cock through his clothes. Then he walked away and began licking Green-yellow's slit.

A'ex was ready to continue this conversation, but reflective-black rolled to his feet. He was one of the dragons who walked on hind legs, and now his cock loomed before A'ex. The wolf realized he was leaning toward it.

Green-yellow addressed the hall. "This has been a productive formal introduction. It is time to retire. Show each delegate to their quarters. Talks will resume in earnest at midday tomorrow, after everyone has rested from their journey."

A'ex turned and noticed dragons approaching them. A four-leg walker in white scales escorted the fox to the side. Dragons announced they had been assigned to other canines and would tend to their needs, in the custom of the canine peoples.

Soon only A'ex stood with the two dragons, the thick wolf waiting by Green-yellow's hind leg. Green-yellow was a quadruped, and his dick was still out and leaking clear fluid onto the stone platform.

"Where am I to stay?" A'ex asked.

Reflective-black approached him. "We have other matters to discuss. Personal matters."

"I don't--"

"Tel'el could tell, and so can everyone in the hall. The treaty comes second to this."

A'ex was scenting reflective-black's cock from a distance. "I'm confused."

"Your body is reacting to dragon scent. We did not expect this, but we'll help you handle it while you're here."

He reached down and pulled A'ex's cloth aside. A'ex was knotted. A'ex lunged forward, shoving his muzzle into reflective-black's slit.

"You may find it difficult to return home," the dragon said while A'ex drank that wonderful scent.

It became his country, and it was the happiest, most contented he had ever felt. He felt a hand on his back, stroking his fur.

Green-yellow: "How far do you want to go?"
